US ELECTION Breakdown and the American Neo Nazi flood.
As of 5:34 this morning on November 6th, the 2024 candidate for the next president was announced. While many are celebrating, there are many like myself who are terrified. I am fortunate enough to live in a Blue state (Democrat) but many are not. There will be many people who claim it’s because of the economy that they voted for Trump, unfortunately this is not true. It saddens me to say that as Americans, understanding different aspects of the candidates main running points can be misunderstood and or entirely wrong. Let’s correct and breakdown these misconceptions.
Understanding Trumps Economic Plan:
Trumps plan will endanger, if not entirely bankrupt the American economy. His plan is to raise the taxes of lower class (low income) and middle class taxes while giving a massive tax breaks to those in the 2-1% (those who make a minimum of $900,000 annually).
Nobel prize winners, people who are awarded the Nobel prize for their incredible contributions to humanity:
More than half of the living economist Nobel prize winners (all with different backgrounds and political beliefs) voiced support for Kamala’s plan and labeled it as superior to Trumps. Trump added over 8 trillion dollars worth of debt to the US during his first term in office.
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/24/science/kamala-harris-nobel-winners.html
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/24/science/kamala-harris-nobel-winners.html
Tariff’s:
Definition- a tax imposed by one country on the goods and services imported from another country to influence it, raise revenues, or protect competitive advantages
Trump plans to impose Tariff’s which would be paid for by the American people, not the country whose goods are being imported. Adding this tax on imported goods will raise our country’s inflation higher. The purpose of this is to create market distortions that can actually harm domestic consumers over time.
The American Economy is Built on Immigrants:
Immigration, specifically undocumented immigrants, are constant talking points in which Trump uses to manipulate and induce fear into MAGA and other voters. By using derogatory language and racial stereotypes, he has created a harmful, dangerous and false narrative of undocumented people. Where Trump claims they are “taking American jobs”, the truth behind the matter is that undocumented migrants are working jobs that Americans do not want and will not work for the pay that is given. This was reconfirmed when Florida Govern, Ron Desantis, exiled and deported thousands of undocumented immigrants in Florida which left American citizens to complain and refuse to work those labor intensive jobs even after food shortages occurred in 2023.
Mass Deportation and what it means for the American Economy:
Mass deportation and demonization of immigrant people will lead to the downfall of the American Economy. Adding to his economic plan, the topic of deporting over a million migrants back to there birth countries would not only cost hundreds of billions of dollars but also cause labor and food shortages that have only been seen in the years 1929 – 1939 (The Great Depression).
What does this mean overall for the American People?
With a deadly combination of mass deportation, higher taxes and tariff’s the American economy will crash. Along with targeting minority groups, inflation will also bring us back to the philosophical question; would you steal bread to feed your family? The question at hand seems simple, yet statistics show the correlation between high crime rates and poverty levels time and time again. As American citizens we will see the rise of Trumps violence for a second term in office. Violent crimes against women and children, hate crimes and other violence against minorities and those who are apart of the LGBT+ community.
Trump has also spoken openly about his desire to rid Americans of their right to choose ranging from topics of abortion to voting. He has recently stated that when he wins American citizens won’t have to vote again after four years. While some may interpret this as it being his second term and therefore no longer being eligible to run again, it may have a much darker meaning. Trump has shown in the past that he has no issues with disregarding the American constitution and overturning democracy. If he were to succeed in overturning future election and voting laws then he would become Americas first Dictator. Furthermore, Trump is a convicted felon with 34 counts including but not limited to: Rape, selling national security secrets to enemy nations, staging a coup to overturn the 2020 election, election interference and voter fraud. Though we have a glimpse of what the next four years will look like it is unsure as Trump is dangerous and unpredictable. Voting for Trump in 2024 is Voting against America.

Recs for Uni or HS BLs where studying impacts plot
Tumblr media
My ask box is bonkers, sometimes I get a message in email saying someone asked a question and then when I check on the hellsite itself, it's gone... (What does this MEAN?)
Anygay...
@sagi-kari asked a question:
Do you have any recs for Uni or HS BLs where the main focus is studying or study related (they have to actually do the thing). Like LITA with Rain's studies being a caveat to their relationship or Big Dragon with Mangkorn's New York internship/job idr.
Basically, the study needs to be an important thing to the narrative.
This is a doozie and I'm only gonna rec stuff I rated over 8/10
University & HS BL Revolving Around Study
Tumblr media
Semantic Error - class conflict is the inciting event, and this is one of my favorite BLs of all time. So yeah, it tops the list. I am assuming you have watched it because EVERYONE must watch this little pice of perfect. Full review here.
Blueming - the school project is the source of the conflict, this is a complicated chewy very thoughtful BL, longer than normal for Korea. If you enjoy things like The 8th Sense you might like this. Full review here.
Love Class - the whole show is about a manufactured relationship as part of a social science class experiment. Full review here.
You Make Me Dance - I mean it's a dance major so no actual book study but yeah, it's there he has to win a dance scholarship as a main part of the plot. I've never done a full review of this, and frankly that's an oversite. Time for a rewatch?
Tumblr media
HIStory 2: Right or Wrong - it's about a teacher student relationship so...
Addicted: Heroin - especially the first half, I know what you're thinking, but also, THINK about it. It's all within a class from environment for most of the first 6 eps. I believe it counts. This is, without question, the best BL China has ever produced. FIGHT ME.
Destiny Seeker - an under appreciated pulp that is basically predicated on the university sorting hat. I have great affection for this hot mess, including all the sides. Mostly takes place within and around the complexities of dorm life. Full review here.
Kiss Me Again series (BL cut) + Dark Blue Kiss (AKA the PeteKao series staring TayNew) - it's not necessarily a driver but engineering and study is actual integral in a setting as character kind of way. And there is a lot of "make-out while studying." Plus we in the TayNew renauances and I have great affection for their original series. Everyoen shoudl watch it. Here's the watch guide.
HS BL - not exactly study, but sorta & they really good
Light On Me - Another one of my absolute favorite BLs, but it's about the school government club, not actual study. Full review here.
Love Sick - if you count club activities. I just got a full load up of this series with new subs, so I was going to do a watch along in honor of 2024 (its 10th anniversary). I am still considering it.
My School President - also, if you count extra-curricular & club activities. Another BL that i absolutely adore. No full review but I did have a long discussion on how this plays into Thailand's new norm in BL here.
Takara & Amagi - ugh I love this show so much but it's more about popularity and social acceptance in HS than studing, full review here.
About Youth - if you count external parental pressure to over achieve, another underappreciated gem, this time for Taiwan. Full review here.
I dithered...
Bad Buddy - maybe, I mean departmental conflict is a large part of the story, plus high school back story club activities, but there is very little study. Full review here.
Tumblr media
Please feel free to add more on a RP or in comments, but remember my codicil was I have to have personally rated it over 8/10 so your baby might not be on here because it wasn't to my personal taste.

Mark Sumner at Daily Kos:
A new Harris poll for The Guardian found that the majority of Americans believe that the U.S. is in a recession.
This is patently untrue.  The U.S. is experiencing an extended period of growth, and while market forecasters spent much of the last three years predicting that a recession was just around the corner, it never arrived. Now economists believe that a recession is increasingly unlikely. As The Wall Street Journal reported a month ago, the U.S. economy is the envy of the world, and it has “far outperformed expectations over the past year and a half.” But in poll after poll, Americans say that the economy is poor or simply bad. And a plurality believe the economy was better under Donald Trump. With voters saying that the economy is their top issue for the 2024 election, there might be nothing more important to President Joe Biden than finding a way to get people to believe good news in a nation pervaded by media outlets and Republican politicians selling disaster. All three of the major stock indexes set new records in the last week, with the Dow Jones closing above 40,000 for the first time.
While it’s easy to dismiss stock prices as something that matters only to the rich, workers with 401(k)s and individual retirement accounts have also benefited from this extended period of good economy and rising markets. The number of American workers with access to a 401(k) plan surged in 2023. The percentage of workers who depend on a 401(k) or IRA for retirement now greatly exceeds the number who rely on a pension. The average 401(k) plan grew by 9.6% in 2023, and markets are up 10% in just the first quarter of 2024. Sure, that’s a lot of money for the wealthy who control 93% of stock, but it’s also tens of millions of Americans who will have a more comfortable and secure retirement. In fact, the number of Americans who have over $1 million in their retirement accounts grew by 20% in the last quarter of 2023.  Unemployment dropped from 6.3% under Trump and has remained under 4% for the longest period since the Vietnam War. Also, 15 million new jobs have been created under Biden while 2.9 million were lost under Trump.
Not only that, but manufacturing jobs, long the foundation of a strong middle class, are making a comeback under Biden as the CHIPS and Science Act brings in billions in new investment. Good new jobs are finally being created in areas where Trump promised but failed to deliver.  Economists recognize that the economy is much better under Biden than it was under Trump. So why do polls keep showing that Americans aren’t giving Biden any credit? And why do 74% of swing state voters say inflation is getting worse even though that's not true? A majority of Americans say that their own personal finances are doing well, and even when the question is expanded to their whole state, voters say the economy has improved.
Why do a majority of Americans (wrongly) believe that we're in a recession and that things were better under Trump, when in fact President Biden has presided over a booming economy? Too many people have the perception that the incumbent President is to blame for everything.

Warmer Winters Ahead
This week, we’ve experienced some fantastic weather in the Guelph area, and it has been enjoyed by many. The sun has been out, there are no buckets of snow being dumped on us, the birds are chirping, and even some bugs are reappearing. Personally, I enjoy being able to open up the windows in my apartment to air everything out, letting the fresh air in without turning the space into a walk-in freezer. It feels as if we are already deep into April given the weather being so springlike, however we aren’t even halfway into February. Normally, I would be the biggest supporter of warm weather, as snow is not my biggest fan, nor am I a fan of it. However, between this class ENVS*3000 (Nature Interpretation), and a course I took last term ENVS*3010 (Climate Change Biology), it has impacted my way of thinking dramatically, and I am growing more concerned about the world around us and how nature will change due to the effects of climate change.
In 2023, it was determined we would experience El Nino, which brings forth warmer, wet weather that could also bring more extreme weather patterns with it (ICL 2023). Its opposite, La Nina, does not commonly impact this part of North America, however the two tend to swing back and forth (ICL 2023). Together, they interrupt the natural atmospheric weather patterns and seem to only become more aggressive as the effects of climate change continue to grow more apparent (ICL 2023).
While all these changes in weather and temperature are explainable through science, the impacts it will have on our environment are still unknown, which makes me very fearful of what our natural spaces will look like in the future. For us to have such a green winter this year, it makes one curious about how this will impact the health and survival of all of those found within our green spaces. How does this type of weather disrupt their mating season? Will the species of plants still blossom and sprout when needed? Would they be able to survive the cold fronts that unexpectedly appear?
While this seems like an odd thing to think about, I am concerned about what nature will look like in just 10 or 20 years from now. What native species will no longer be able to live here? What will the forests look like years from now if events such as drought or wildfires become the new normal? Will we still have winters with the buckets of snow that we all loved as kids? As aspiring nature interpreters, I think it is our due diligence to be asking the big questions about the nature we find around us. I think it is important to live in the present, and enjoy what we have, but also look to the future and protect the environment for generations of nature interpreters to come.
[ICL]  Imperial College London. (2023). What is El Niño and how is it influenced by climate change? Accessed February 10, 2024. .https://www.imperial.ac.uk/grantham/publications/climate-change-faqs/what-is-el-nino/

Competitive Exams Guide 2024: Practice Sets, Answer Keys, Religious History & Internships
Tumblr media
India's competitive exam landscape in 2024 is buzzing with opportunities for aspirants targeting government jobs like BSSC CGL and RRB ALP. From effective practice sets and answer keys to the importance of subject knowledge like religious history and maths, let’s explore everything you need to crack these exams, along with new initiatives like the PM Internship Scheme and how to stay updated with job alerts like Naukri Exam.
BSSC CGL Practice Set
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam is one of the most awaited recruitment drives for graduate candidates in Bihar. A practice set for BSSC CGL includes subject-wise question papers on General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and current affairs. These sets help aspirants evaluate their preparation, improve time management, and identify weak areas. Many reputed publications provide mock tests aligned with the latest syllabus and previous year papers. Candidates should solve at least one full-length practice paper every day as the exam approaches.
RRB ALP Answer Key 2024
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) answer key 2024 is a crucial document that helps candidates calculate their tentative scores and raise objections if needed. The answer key is released shortly after the exam on the official RRB websites. Candidates must log in using their registration number and password to download the answer key. It's important to cross-verify with the response sheet and file objections within the stipulated time if discrepancies are found. This transparency ensures fairness in evaluation and boosts candidate confidence.
BSSC CGL Practice Set Book
To strengthen preparation, students should rely on a high-quality BSSC CGL practice set book. Some of the recommended books include those by Kiran Publications, Arihant, and Lucent. These books offer chapter-wise solved questions, model test papers, and previous year papers. A good practice set book should include explanations in both English and Hindi to aid bilingual learners. Selecting a book that follows the latest BSSC syllabus is essential for effective preparation.
भारत में ईसाई धर्म का आगमन (Arrival of Christianity in India)
PM Internship Scheme 2024
The PM Internship Scheme 2024, also known as the Prime Minister’s Internship Yojana, is a government initiative aimed at providing real-time work experience to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Interns will work in various departments under central ministries, PSUs, and other government bodies. The scheme offers:
Monthly stipend
Work experience certificate
Exposure to public policy and administration
This initiative enhances employability and helps students understand how governance works at the grassroots level. Details and application forms can be accessed via the official MyGov portal.
Maths Books for Competitive Exams
Mathematics plays a vital role in exams like BSSC, RRB, SSC, and Banking. Some of the best books for preparation include:
Quantitative Aptitude by R.S. Aggarwal
Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Rajesh Verma
Kiran SSC Mathematics Chapterwise Solutions
NCERT Maths (Class 6 to 10) for concept building
Regular practice of short tricks, formulas, and previous year questions is essential to score high in the quantitative aptitude section.
Exam4 Naukri and Job Alerts
Exam4  Naukri  refers to various recruitment tests conducted across India for government and private jobs. To stay updated, candidates should:
Subscribe to job portals like Naukri.com, FreeJobAlert, SarkariResult
Follow official websites like SSC, UPSC, RRB, BPSC
Join Telegram channels and YouTube coaching platforms for real-time updates
Timely alerts help in applying before deadlines and preparing efficiently for upcoming vacancies.
Conclusion: Preparation for government exams in 2024 demands a strategic mix of practice, reliable study material, awareness of historical facts, and knowledge of employment schemes. Whether you're solving a BSSC CGL paper or reviewing the RRB ALP answer key, staying informed and consistent is the key to success.

How to Qualify for the OPRA Exam with Confidence
Tumblr media
Each year, hundreds of internationally educated pharmacists aim to become registered professionals in Australia. But what separates those who merely attempt from those who succeed? The answer lies in strategic preparation.
The OPRA Exam cost (Overseas Pharmacists Readiness Assessment) is a significant milestone in the registration journey. While it’s rigorous, passing it on your first attempt—without giving up your job—is achievable with the right approach.
This comprehensive OPRA Exam Preparation Guide will help you navigate eligibility, exam format, and effective study strategies so you can face the OPRA exam with clarity and confidence.
What Is the OPRA Exam?

Right so I dont know whats going on at any given moment in this class and I 100% didn't do the readings.... which is and might be more problematic than I want but alas; me versus scientific journals is a battle i will never win especially if the journal is 33 god forsaken pages. But I digress. does this have a character limit?
Welcome to the shit show! today we are going to go over some larger scale processes (woot woot I still don't understand the smaller scale processes but whatever). First we get to diccus the shit show that was exam 1 (i did get an email that i have the opportunity to improve my grade because I did just that bad..) i swear to god if I'm the only one in person today I'm going to riot. fuck. anyway. week 10... great. exam 2 is the last five week of the semester ew. its going to be the same format as exam 1 *joy joy*. the final is going to be closed book my hope are so high:) lol i had the lower end of the undergrad reage at a whopping 80.7%.... bruh grammar and capitalization is a bitch and apparently you get docked points (which is so fair im just salty). we have to add fcking titals now gross. this is an essay prompt i didn't realize we needed to get all up and fancy with this jesus christ. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE FISH OCE REF STYLE!!! "its pretty standard" - clearly not can you give a spark notes of what the fuck that is. like a break down of thestlye you want/??? SUBSECTIONS?! this was suppost to be a one page single spaces how am i suppost to add subsections?! add quanitative detalis? how when the questions suggest otherwise. *do you know how much this makes me want to die? jesus christ i didnt realize this was going to be so nitpicky of an exam* do we now get to get on with todays material - no not yet we get to diccus the final AH 20% of my grade...
TODAY'S FOCUS - large scale processes, circulation and ocean basins! *oh yay a shorter lecture*
Thermohaline circulation. do we know what this is KINDA. so what it is is a large global scale circulating where surface waters becomes denser than underlying wates and sink creatin vertical circulation in the ocean. this is often wind driven circulation. DEEP open ocean convection tis the cacess by which vigoro's vertical mixing occus down tot great depth in respond to winter time surface buoyancy losses in the sub polar seas, is a significant mechanic of water masses - the densent water are forms at high latitudes ( north Atlantic and southern ocean.) (rip spellcheck) OOO thats a realy nice visual of the thromohailice circulation!!!! we have to get our gruminy hands on that link it would be so helpful ( UCAR- center for science eduction). we also need to get our hand oth figh 8.11 because that would also help be in chem ocn!!
Wind driven circulation - what is is? well dumbass... um. are you familare with the major gyres in N+S patlatnic and Pacific? WELL GUESS WHAT they are driven by global wind whis are dieven by inequalities in the solar enegy flux between the equatior and the poles. * fuck oh joy joy something confusing* ~ in both atl. and pacf. basins sub topic gyers(circulate anti cyclonic ( do you know aht the even means? and clock wise in .. *OH MY GOD I WANST DONE GAH GO BACK fuck it* ) still on the same topics western margins of thes gyer had particualy intence currents ( gulf stream and kuroshi current are sub tropic) Labrador current and oyashio current ( are sub POLAR). did you know that organisms in these can be transported long distances!western boundary currents meander and can cause eddies which are conveniently important feature for entertaining(?) food for consumers *there was a whole text box that she blew threw no wonder i can't keep up in this class*
WOW the major flow of the water in the atlanic is in a clockwise direction. the circulation in the north atlatin is linked to artic circulation and what happens up north.... something something about different something.
The fuck is a jumpdrive? you mean a USB flash drive? please sent help. also let me reiterate - I didn't read todays papers. i am s c r e w e d but whats new. now we get to the prestation on the review paper... which is 33 pages. damn her prestation is so good. ok i dont knwo whats going on. rip my participation points oh well. maybe ill ask about the citation format when we are done and gain something.
Questions to gain participation points: explain the citation system. can we go into depth of anticyclonic vs cyclonic gyres and what that means/impacts?
I didn't realize i would have to write my citations by hand because its a super specific citation system that is a mash of APA and MLA and whatever the fuck else fish ocn peeps deem acceptable.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2024
Theme 2024: Global Science for Global Well being.
The theme Future of STI- Impacts on education, skills & work has been chosen for the purpose of raising public appreciation of the scientific issues involved and the impacts science has on education, skill and work. The theme itself generates energy and encourages the youth for a future with education, skills, and work in science.
History: Every year the day is celebrated to raise awareness on the importance of science that has in our daily lives. The colleges and science institutes across the country celebrate the day by organizing public speeches, lectures and science model exhibitions, science movies, science exhibitions on themes and concepts, debates, quiz competitions.
Apart from this, students also demonstrates various science projects and innovations across the country. The government also felicitates scientists who contributed greatly to the field of science.
NSD is celebrated every year on 28 February to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect.’ The Government of India designated 28 February as National Science Day (NSD) in 1986.
On this day, Sir C.V. Raman announced the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. On this occasion, theme-based science communication activities are carried out all over the country.
IDEAS AND RESOURCES:
1. Set up a science quiz. In teams, children research and write science questions. Put them together to make a quiz.
Can another class answer them?
What about a children vs staff competition?
2. Write an explanation of how an experiment you are doing works.
3. Write some instructions for another class to perform an experiment.
4. Research and write a biography of a famous scientist.
5. Run a debate on a science topic, for example, “More money should be spent on space travel” or “Plastic bags should be banned”.
6. Research and write an article about a scientific issue, for example, pollution.
7. Write an advertisement for a scientific object. What would persuade someone to buy a microscope, for example?
8. Set up some timing challenges; how long does it take you to jump 10 times or run from one side of the playground to the other? Remember to time accurately and record your findings. Compare different people’s results in a table.
9. Collect as many different measuring instruments as you can. What are they used for? How do you use and read them accurately?
10. What experiments could you use them for?
When you are doing an experiment, swap your results with another group and write a conclusion based on them. Did you interpret the results the same way?
11. Explore units of measure and match them to their correct use. What is measured in newtons? What is measured in amps?
12. Organise a science fair. A few weeks before the event, ask children to work on a science project that they can demonstrate on the day (this could be an independent task for home learning or a group task in class). On Science Day, set up the projects and invite parents, carers and other classes to visit while the children present their work. There are hundreds of ideas here, searchable by age.
13. Make your own lava lamp.
Go on a minibeast hunt in the school grounds or a local park.
14. Plant some seeds or bulbs and monitor their growth over the following days and weeks.
15. Make a paperclip helicopter.
16. Try out one of the classroom-friendly experiments on the Marvin and Milo site.
17. Investigate bubbles. Make sure you use a good bubble mixture, like this one from Red Ted Art. Try making different shape and size bubble wands, from old coat hangers, for example. What happens when you change the shape? Which shape is the most effective?
18. Make a bottle bird feeder for your outside area.
19. Try making some fun games using circuits (requires flash player).
20. Fill some balloons with water and freeze them overnight. How long will they take to melt in different conditions? For younger children, freeze small objects into the balloons.
21. Go outside and make some water rockets.
22. Make a QR code science trail around the school using this great app from Class Tools.
23. Become a roving reporter, take a tablet or camera around the school; film all of the amazing science going on and edit it into a report on the day to share on the school website or social media.
24. Try this: Build a Bridge challenge.
Demonstrate reversible and irreversible changes by melting some chocolate and cooking an omelette. You can turn the melted chocolate back into solid chocolate, but can you change the omelette back into eggs?
25. Make some natural paints from plants and paint with them. Try this chromatography art activity.
26. Make your own musical instruments – there are lots of ideas in this blog post.Investigate how sound is made with a range of objects.
27. Make your own water cycle in plastic bags.
28. Make rain gauges and set them up in the school grounds.
29. Filtering water using a variety of filters. Which one works best?
30. Research the life of a famous scientist and make a short video about their life.
31. Create a timeline of scientific discoveries.
32. Investigate the effect of exercise on the human body. Take your pulse and breathing rate before you begin, then run on the spot for one minute. What has happened to your pulse and breathing rate? How long does it take to get back to your resting rate?
33. Investigate trajectory by setting up a simple target (for example, a bucket) and throwing a range of items into it, for example, balls of different sizes, balloons, scarves, bean bags etc. Make sure it is a fair test by always standing in the same place to throw. How do the different items behave? Why?
34. Create a dance based on the water cycle.
25. Discuss some ethical questions raised by science, for example, should we save endangered animals?
Please follow the usual procedures in schools. Click a photo and send it to the WhatsApp number given below to avail appreciation certificates from UN Volunteers-India.
