Woo... anyone else feel like they got a touch of Deltarune poisoning after yesterday's reveal? Think I'm gonna need to take a bit of time away while I digest everything we've been given.
(there's also the fact that I'm probably gonna have to completely rewrite an upcoming chapter of one of my fics to account for the new revelations, which... isn't a fun thought. But hey, that's on me for not writing it quick enough I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

Our mission, it seems, has to do with the mind.
We’re living in what they call the “Information Age,” but life only seems to be making less sense. We’re isolated, listless, burnt out on screens, cutting loved ones out like tumors in the spirit of “boundaries,” failing to understand other people’s choices or even our own. The machine is malfunctioning, and we’re trying to think our way out of it. In 1961, Marxist philosopher Frantz Fanon wrote, “Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it or betray it.” Our mission, it seems, has to do with the mind.
— Amanda Montell, The Age of Magical Overthinking: Notes on Modern Irrationality (Atria/One Signal Publishers, April 9, 2024)

i am canceling all social media accounts except tumblr cause this site is least toxic place on internet.
i want to be person i was before phone became favorite past time.
let's see how long it will take before my determination melts like everything else
anyone else want to participate? idk, if you want, if you already went through this ordeal share how did it go and how long were you on detox and if you have any fellow advice.
especially fellow writers, tell me if you too feel time spent on internet is killing your creative braincells.
also do you write on phone or with pen in notebook? do you feel while using notes app saves lot of time, that it can also be very distracting cause, again, internet is too close?

A Comparative Analysis Between Buddhist Nivṛtti (निवृत्ति) and Stoic Apatheia (ἀπάθεια) – Part 2
In the first part of this essay, we explored a revitalized interpretation of intellectual asceticism—not as a renunciation of thought itself, but as its disciplined, intentional, and ethically grounded refinement. Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com Drawing from the foundational frameworks of Buddhist philosophy (notably the principle of nivṛtti — निवृत्ति, or “turning away”) and Stoic ethics…

Nope.
Sometimes, restriction is good. Saying no is good. Not seeing something you don't need to see at the moment is good. Not knowing is for your benefit.
Social media and peoples opinions have created narratives that we MUST have, we MUST know, we MUST be there... or my favorite, we MUST be offended and angry. And in reality... no, we don't. The weight of certain situations is not for us to carry.
This is a big human issue now, we have access to TO MUCH. We were not meant to live and have access to so many peoples opinions and thoughts and issues. And we are weighed down, and we don't even know it till we get to ourselves and live OUR life. Without the suggestions, without so much information.
A little bit of music, a few good books at a time, a good community, good environment is all you need. It's not about the money. It's not about what you don't have. It's about enjoying the moment. This moment. These moments.
Embrace yourself. Embrace your life. Someone else would love your issues. Don't be so hard on yourself. Give God what is due to Him, and life your life.
Life is what YOU make it. So simple to say, but you must create that peace, that space... don't allow other people or to much info to ruin your life. Be at peace, shugg. ❤️

"In the brain research over the last thirty years there is found a phenomenon in the functioning of our brains: We take continuously into us more information. Simultaneously there are less and less connections between these separate pieces of information. We have a hunger for “still more knowledge”, and at the same time the splitting of contents in our awareness is proceeding at an alarming tempo. The way to inner integration demands exactly the opposite: the connections between separate contents of our psychic structure. This concerns not only the new pieces of information that we receive in life through discussions, readings, pictures and experiences, but particularly of the contents that at each moment are stored in us – consciously or unconsciously."
Extract from "The Birth of God in Us" by Agnes Hidveghy. Available in German, now in preparation in English.

Tell me why there are two Youtube videos of a similar story - one with Eminem and another with Elon Musk. (See images below)
I am sick of this ish... not knowing what to believe anymore.
I love Ai but people need to use it responsibly, honestly and transparently.
I am thoroughly disgusted by all the lies, clickbait and misinformation being shared, some of which is harmful and dangerous propaganda. There needs to be fact checking, disclaimers, and screening of content on the part of both the publishing platform and the creator.
So what can be done?
As an Ai Consultant and a passionate creator, I am excited by the limitless possibilities inherent in the AI Technology which is advancing at a rapid rate that until recently was beyond our wildest dreams and expectations.
I support the responsible and controlled use of AI as a tool to enhance our daily life, as a means to empower us as individuals and strengthen us as a society, to be used to ethically propel humanity in a positive direction, in which we may go faster and further into the future, while making our world a better place - kinder, gentler, more compassionate, more efficient, less wasteful, and more capable of solving problems in modern life.
But there is so much harmful and dangerous propaganda being spread online, with the help of Al. What can be done to combat this misuse and abuse?
Let's get a conversation going.
We need to declutter our lives, including our digital lives, specifically the digital information we are bombarded with daily.
Information overload is real and it is toxic.
Especially when we can't discern truth from lies.
It's getting out of control.
I can't go on YouTube anymore and find information without having to weed through countless clickbait thumbnails and massive troves of misinformation, or worse, flat out propaganda and malicious lies that threaten our sanity, beliefs, public safety and world order.
We need to do better as a society, and the social media platforms definitely need to do their part to combat the growing amount of #misinformation, which seems to compound exponentially every day.
I welcome your comments and suggestions. Let's share ideas!

How can you put images on posts?
Adding images to your posts can make them more visually appealing and engaging for your readers, and they can also help to illustrate your points and make your content more digestible. There are a few different ways to add images to your posts, depending on the platform you're using.
Here are the general steps on how to put images on posts:
Prepare your image: Make sure that your image is the right size and format for your platform. For example, if you're adding an image to a blog post, you'll want to make sure that the image is not too large, as this can slow down your page load times. You can also use an image editing tool to resize or crop your image to the desired size.
Upload your image: Once you have prepared your image, you can upload it to your platform. This may be done by clicking on an "Upload" button or by dragging and dropping the image into the post editor.
Position your image: Once your image is uploaded, you can position it in your post. You can choose whether to have the image appear on the left, right, or center of the post, and you can also choose whether to have the image float alongside the text or be displayed in a full-width block.
Add a caption: Once your image is positioned, you can add a caption. This is a short description of the image that will help your readers to understand what it is. A good caption should be no more than a few sentences long and should be informative and engaging.
Add alt text: Alt text is a text description of the image that is used by search engines and screen readers. It is important to add alt text to your images so that people who are unable to see the image can still understand what it is.
Here are some specific instructions on how to add images to popular platforms:
WordPress:
To add an image to a WordPress post, click on the "Add Media" button in the post editor.
Select the image you want to upload from your computer.
Click the "Insert into post" button.
Position the image in your post.
Add a caption and alt text.
Facebook:
To add an image to a Facebook post, click on the "Photo/Video" button in the status update box.
Select the image you want to upload from your computer.
Add a caption.
Click the "Share" button.
Twitter:
To add an image to a Tweet, click on the "Image" button in the tweet composer.
Select the image you want to upload from your computer.
Add a caption.
Click the "Tweet" button.
Instagram:
To add an image to an Instagram post, open the Instagram app and tap on the "+" button.
Select the image you want to upload from your phone's photo library.
Edit the image as desired.
Add a caption and hashtags.
Tap the "Share" button.

Alone she sits books stacked up high
Grasping knowledge with a tearful eye
Grades come easy, but no one knows
The silent sorrow beneath her quiet prose
To the world it seems effortless, just sitting still
But within a relentless battle an unending drill
Information piled high suffocating the mind
No space to think, no respite to find
Expectations heavy burdened by their own
Seeking praise in the quiet solo
Achievements bring no joy just an exhale
In this silent journey they quietly lie
No pride just a continuous grind
Study and study, leaving hush behind
Some days better, others, filled with doubt
In the silence of study loneliness shouts out
Yet they press on through shadows they roam
Finding solace in knowledge, their own home
In this journey they find their way
Lost in the pages until breaks the day

Don't you think we are surrounded by distractions? Rampant aimlessness all around and somehow that energy very discreetly affecting us even without our knowledge. From information overload to misleading propagandas to lobbies with vested interests working day in and day out to disrupt our daily living. Unless one is really conscious, aware and awakened - we'll be pulled into that blind consensus of herd mentality which only knows to absorb everything without a question...
