Big fan of Damian unpacking lores that aren't even exclusive to the LoA. Like, the BatFamily thought that they helped him (they didn't) but then they realized that they may have unintentionally exposed him to the same stuff, just in different fonts.

Absolutely obsessed with this as it applies to Raphael if he ever spent time in Mephistopheles' court-- it must have EATEN at him to be in that kind of confined, regimented life, given everything we know about Mr. "What is life without a bit of whimsy" who talks about making deals purely for the sake of indulging himself. Constantly having to be accountable to Mephistopheles, beholden, locked into the same routine day in, day out.

But then...WHAT does he do when he has his own space (though I have my thoughts on how much the HoH *is* his space/how he ended up in Avernus, but that's a discussion for later)? He recreates his father's court in Cania, now with himself in the role of Mephistopheles -- he does it more out of a sense of sadism, but he still makes sure that everyone has their rigid roles, that they fulfill them, with him as the ultimate decider of every move that is made in the House. It's like a grotesque version of a child playing dress up as his parent, with Raphael's interpretation being theatre and Mephistopheles' being more political drama, but still with the same ultimate endgoal.

Little guy reveal!

Let’s look a little closer at these stinky little guys, shall we?

They’ve got the years they’re from on the bottoms of their feet! Lore is the oldest (1993), and Tasha is the youngest (1995)! Picard, Riker, Worf, and Geordi are all from 1994.

Surprisingly, being the oldest, I actually think I like Lore’s paint job the best! His eyebrows are definitely too dark (and off mold), but they are far from the worst, as we’ll see! I like that they painted in his pink waterlines. I don’t like that it doesn’t show up in pictures.

Oh, baby. Someone please pull up the countless memes about blue eyes for poor Riker.

Geordi is looking as handsome as ever! Likely because they didn’t need to paint his eyes.

Captain, my Captain! Remember what I said earlier about Lore not being the worst example of too-dark eyebrows? Yeah. Also, he appears to be experimenting with white lipstick! I support him in all his endeavors (as long as they’re not eyebrow related).

Worf! I feel like they’ve done him a little dirty with the eye shadow. Are they trying to make him look meaner? Worf isn’t mean. He’s a sweetie pie.

There’s an hoa neighborhood down the road from me (it wasn’t there when I lived here as a kid, truly a weird place to put an hoa too..) and they have a large field for the hoa members to use that I have only ever seen in use once. I bet it’d be a good place to bring juniper and a herding ball.

Love that Ky’s solution to Sin having too much power for his body to handle at a young age was to gouge Sin’s eye out and put it into his own eye socket.

Father of the year, surprisingly not ironically. He genuinely loves his kid.

This is backed up by Sin’s eyepatch, Ky’s strength in Xrd in pulling Justice back into position, and Ky gaining Dragon Install in Strive.

AU WHERE GUINEVERE AND MORGAN'S SON'S WERE SWAPPED AS BABES SO LLEU WHO WAS RAISED AS THE LEGITIMATE HEIR IS ACTUALLY THE INCESTUAL BASTARD AND MEDRAUT WHO IS VIEWED AS THE BETTER STATESMAN AND FIGHTER IS THE LEGITIMATE HEIR.

Logically, if that happened, it would probably be Morgan who swapped them, but I think it would be interesting if she wasn't the one who did it and had no clue 🥰🥰🥰

Nonny, you are a genius! 🤯 Remember when me and Yono were confused why Lleu was the sickly child even though Medraut was the child born from incest? Now we have an explanation. Lleu has been the incest baby all along! Morgause shaped Medraut's beliefs and made him loyal to her. It doesn't matter if he's of her blood or not because even if he is not her child biologically, he is her child idologically. A weapon of her own making. Artos' rejection drove him into Morgause's arms. If her plan came to fruition he would have slain her enemies for her and made her queen. It's brilliant, really. Medraut wouldn't even need to become a kinslayer, usurp and start a war. The throne would be rightfully his. All it would take is the revelation of Lleu's bastardy that would disqualify him as a successor.

The plan was never to make a child that could be her pawn as a king. The plan was to make a sacrifice. Morgause bore Lleu to give Artos a distraction while she was poisoning the mind of his real child. And in his shame Artos was playing right into her hands when he send away Medraut and neglected him. Medraut's hunger for parental love made him vulnerable to her manipulations and welcoming of her inappropiate advances.

Artos had no idea he was pampering his sister's bastard while he was treating his legitimate son like a stain on his family. If Medraut were to kill Lleu it wouldn't be regicide, it would be the execution of a pretender to the throne. He'd be treated like a hero instead of the villain he was. ooooh, this is so evil I like it. ^^
