"When the Waters Rise, God Is Still With Us"

Scripture Focus:

🌊 Reflection:

Today, many of us are physically experiencing the discomfort, fear, and uncertainty that come with storms and floods. The rain hasn’t stopped. The floodwaters are rising. Some of us are losing sleep, watching the water inch closer to our doors, and feeling helpless.

But while the world outside feels out of control, God’s presence and promises remain our unshakable foundation.

In Isaiah 43:2, God doesn’t promise that we will never face deep waters—but He does promise that when we do, He will be with us. The storm may be loud, but His voice calms the fear. The flood may rise, but His love never recedes.

Storms, both literal and spiritual, are part of life. But as believers, we are never alone in them. Our peace does not come from the absence of storms, but from the presence of Christ within the storm.

Let this moment remind you: God is not distant. He is our shelter, our refuge, and our ever-present help in trouble.

🙏 Prayer:

Father God, We come to You in the middle of this literal and emotional storm. The rain keeps falling, the waters are rising, and fear is knocking at our doors. But we choose to place our trust in You. You are our refuge, our protector, and the One who walks with us through deep waters. Calm our anxious hearts. Guard our homes and our loved ones. Remind us that even when we feel powerless, You are still on the throne, working all things for good. We pray for safety, comfort, and strength—for ourselves and for our communities. Thank You for being our anchor when everything else feels uncertain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
