for a few days after she is born, Boromir just walks around on the verge of happy tears

needless to say he is wrapped around her pinky finger from the very first second of knowing her

his protectiveness grows tenfold, both of you and your daughter

my headcanon is that Gondor hasn't had any princesses born in a loooong time so historically it would also be a very exciting occasion!

Boromir is 101% hands-on and very quickly catches onto many tips and tricks for caring for an infant, all courtly protocols be damned! that is his babygirl and his wife and just you try keeping him away!

no matter his obligations and plans, if she falls asleep on him, or clutching a strand of his hair, his finger, ear, clothes, anything, you can bet he isn't moving anywhere

he covers her tiny ears if he hears anyone nearby uttering what he deems inappropriate words (his standards for inappropriate words also changed significantly)

comes up with the best stories and changes his voice to fit different characters

if your daughter's first word is anything close to 'dad', he will all but proclaim a national holiday complete with a feast istg

aunties Éowyn and Arwen love love having their little girl time with her and will teach her different, but amazing things respectfully

Boromir does his very best to openly express love and affection towards your babygirl - lord knows how he grew up

you know sometimes he isn't sure what to do or how to say something, but your heart swells while watching him give his best

oh absolutely yes. what i would give to have a huge closet tailored specifically to me omg it truly is the dream.

and i feel like frank would eat this upp, when he first comes to your house to visit he cant help but stand in awe at your insanely huge closet. he doesn't know much about clothes or style, but he loves how much you do. he'd sit on the edge of your bed while you cycled through your collection, trying to pick the perfect outfit for date night, eyes focused on you and only you.

"ok frankie, what about this one?" you turn to him, showcasing the third outfit you've tried on. he looks you up and down, debating his opinion.

"hmm i don' know baby, i mean ya look fuckin' gorgeous, you'd look gorgeous in a trash bag, but i prefer the last one, the colour suits your eyes." he'd reply, reaching out to touch your hips, feeling the fabric between his fingers. "but don't think that means i hate this one, believe me i'd rip this off ya in a heartbeat if ya let me doll." he states with a wink, smacking your ass. you can't help but giggle as blush creeps up your neck as you go back to try on an additional four outfits, your dinner plans have absolutely been lost by now but it doesn't matter. you would be happy anywhere with frank.

as your relationship progresses and you fall deeper in love, you make the decision to move in together. you fell in love with a small apartment close to each of your's jobs. it was perfect, but the size definitely made you scared. you knew you would have to sacrifice your closet space and it crushed you, no matter how much you tried to hide it from him. he picked up on this instantly, and had to make it right.

"stay home sweetheart, i'll finish up moving the rest of the boxes, okay?" he places a kiss to your forehead as he leaves, truck full to the brim with your belongings. unbeknownst to you, he and Curtis had been planning to surprise you, completely knocking out a couple walls in your room to make space for a closet for you, one even bigger than your previous. the men worked for hours, being careful to not destroy parts of the apartment that weren't yours. taking the time to fill the space almost exactly the way you had it before, using sneaky photos he took of your closet as reference.

Here we go again--

TRIP ABROAD TURNS INTO BUTTERFLY EFFECT

First thing worth mentioning is that the prime color in this artwork is pale blue. I feel like it's quite rare, most of INPLICK arts for Link Click have the same palette: burgundy red, shades of gray and black (except for the whole Surprise Beat thing which is splashed with flashy pink). All but this one:

For the sake of the argument, let's say it is a significant distinction to make. The reason is simple: the teaser taking place at the airport and the trailer prove that shit started three years ago, while CXS and LG's graduation trip. If this chronology is correct, then blue probably symbolizes Lu Guang's innocence or happiness. Blue used to paint Lu Guang but now he only sees the world in black, white and red. In the birthday official arts, blue is associated with his character. His flower is freaking Forget-Me-Not; Myosotis.

So yes, that's why I think the color palette here is relevant to the time period we're going to explore in the Yingdu Chapter.

The couch itself is blue when we're so used to the pair sitting on a brick sofa. The cakes and the flowers are the usual shade of red, though.

On the table: red roses in a vase. Petals are all over the place. Ominous. We actually see a roses bouquet in the PV of XETROverthink, held by Li Tianchen.

On the trolley: 1 bottle of wine, 2 CXS's feet, 3 glasses, 4 cakes, 5 individual desserts. The glass half full is Liu Xiao's, since it isn't on the trolley in the original artwork he is absent from. I said it in another post but the plate counts 4 portions, as in 4 antagonists, while the pudding might be Lu Guang's. The cakes are probably metaphors for timelines/curves, clocks dressed as desserts with a red fruit representing a dead Cheng Xiaoshi. V and VI are the only missing parts, just like Qiao Ling's one. CXS put his feet on the trail and I think it's both funny and tragic. I believe the correct saying is "put his foot in his mouth" but in french we say "mettre les pieds dans le plat", which literally translates "to put his feet in the plate" (to say something brutal with no tact or to do something stupid without thinking it through). He has both feet nearing timeline cakes and his head is five inches away from doomed flowers.

On the floor: 1 vintage phone. 1 camera. 2 envelopes, 3 pages of letters. 4 polaroids. Probably: 2 magazines and 3 pages of newspapers. The vintage phone could be relevant to THE TIDES, era-wise. The camera is taking polaroids and two of them are still dark, meaning they just took a shot and are yet to be revealed. The rest must be related to this chapter's plot. So much for holidays, guys (are they investigating CXS' missing parents?)

If you look closely, you'll see four different mentions of time:

On another note, I don't know if their hands--

I mean, there's something definitely happening here but let's say for the sake of my sanity that what is supposed to be noticed are the sunglasses. If I'm being honest, this is the real oddity here and the teaser weirdly showed them off?? They're standing out because everything else is so blue for one thing.

They're pink-ish, which is close enough to magenta, so one of Lu Guang's colors (cf. Dive Back In Time). The color itself is weird for sunglasses. Lu Guang doesn't care about fashion, he wants practical. As a girl who loves pink sunglasses, I'll tell you: pink is shit at doing sunglasses' job. CXS told him to wear a cat hat, okay, but did he choose every other accessory?? My guess is that the pink served a purpose in connection with light.

And why is Lu Guang's watch on the other wrist in the artwork? I checked and LG wears it on his right wrist in the donghua and manhua. It can be the opposite for some artworks though... Or blocked from view for some reasons. It's almost as if we're not supposed to know which side is the actual reflection. 👀

Something else is reversed here, actually: the colors AND the pocket of Lu Guang's shirt. It could be a mistake, though.

The real question this teaser isn't answering is either we'll go through the original timeline or a rewind. The last episode of season 2 makes me frown. How to be sure that the Lu Guang who dives exists before and not after the events we see unfold for two seasons? Is Yingdu Chapter a flash black or an actual dive itself? Lu Guang seems to be determinate and in a bad mood in the PV after all, could directly happen after one of CXS's deaths.

EDIT: someone mentioned that LG wears his watch on the left wrist when we get images of CXS getting stabbed. (It hurts right here in my meow meow)

I envy the people getting off work, treat yourselves well~ I woke up today and worked out and had a meeting regarding the concert and left for the airport. I've been pretty busy lately. cr.

I might sound full of myself, but rather than fixed variety shows, I want to do youtube content, like uploading song/dance covers. cr.

People who exercise regularly always show up. Like Minho is everywhere. He probably does ab workouts in his sleep and showers while flexing his abs and when he picks up stuff he picks them up in a squat position. I think it's really cool that people can exercise routinely like that. I would rather live without abs and be able to eat whatever i want. During the concert i should show you my abs~ 6v6 shooting content with minho hyung would be fun. there's two types of people who exercise: those who enjoy working out, and those who whine and complain. i'm the second type 6v6. cr.

Taemin: Minho hyung must work out even sleeping n even taking a shower 😆 he has such healthy hobbies so cool~ but shall we just have drinks? let's give up let's eat what we want this life~! there are 2 types of people one working out happily the other doing it whining i'm the latter cr.

I know how hard the SM staff works, so I don't want to talk bad about SM. But there are times when I don't understand the decisions made by (upper management). even if I were to have an ordinary job, I'd be bound to have some sort of complaints. cr.

Everyone is working hard to make something great. "Euisoo hyung make lots of money" I think our company's salary isn't that high. But everyone works with so much passion. It's a company where you make little money but you work a lot. and i know how hard our fans support us. Everyone always talks about how shinee/taemin fans are so amazing and beautiful! Some people enter the company and run away because the reality didn't match their expectations. So the people who stay behind work hard. The company is expanding but there's no money, so i don't understand how it's getting bigger LOL What I want to say is everyone is working hard, so please know that. There are people who work hard behind the scenes. That's right, raise the salary of our staffs! We have the deepest history among entertainment agencies in korea, so raise our salaries to match our reputation! 6v6 cr.

On Composition:

Goal

For me the goal of my illustration r Storytelling n full on Emotional experience.

(It's something I've been trying to achieve but cannot guarantee I hit it all the time, sometimes bc of my habit I'll lost myself during the process and looking back find out I miss something important, so the following is the best theories I could provide. Most of improvement r still in daily practice(●'◡'●))

To paint with beautiful compostion, you'll first have a solid story in mind, it can be simplified into " who when where n what", writing them down on a note n stick it near by would help.

And as to emotional experience, is something I can't get hold of all the time... music might help I guess? I have headcanon playlists for every chatacter or ship I wanna paint, and extract emotions from them everyday.

But there's some practical methods too.

Methods

I've worked storyboard n director for 2 years in the past, even though I'm not proud of the projects I worked on, some knowledge might still be useful.

It's mostly 2 methods: Silhouette & Movement

Well for silhouettes there's already bunch of books discussing this, one of my favs is Framed Ink, I'm sure u can find a pdf somewhere on the net.

(I find this photo on the internet bc mine is not around)

Basically it's that, think about the objects within your image, by using shadows n their original colors, you can split it into interesting shapes. This will visually elevate the overall feeling of composition.

Also, there's a cheat build in humem's understanding of an image.

basically this, putting important object on the 1/3 points of an image is the fastest cheat.

Also, contrast your silhouette. If you're painting sth that has no background, try giving your silhouette a constrasted design.

(like in this one, the right side is smooth but I'm putting lots of variation on the left.)

For movement, think about your image as a shot taken when your characters r doing sth.

They would each have a direction to move to, and that forms their movement. Your job here is to arrange them into logical or emotional lines.

If it's a series of work, u can plan out the movement toward the same direction.

(the only time you're seeing their car facing left is when they stopped, I was trying to say that their trip kinda ends here)

Also for manga, comic n movie, make sure your important information is within safe area.

(the area within dotted lines is the safe area, u want your character's expression to be mostly within it. if it's like extreme close-up, the certain area u want to emphasize should be within it.)

I have some examples for these two theories.

First let's analyze this screenshot of one of Kurosawa's film, Seven Samurais.

The story here is that these guys r about to fight, possibly some big conflict. There silhouette can be sumed up like this, within the orange line.

We see this guy sticking out from this shape, implying he might be the head of this crowd.

Movement wise, their spears n heads face the same direction, telling u that the enemy will come from that side. Even this is a still frame, the movement is implied perfectly.

Another sample from Synecdoche,NY by Charlie Kauffman

This is a minimalist way of conveying emotion, u only see one main character here, and hardly any movement. Why is it so powerful?

Our main character, Caden, is in the almost center of this shot. He has a clear n simple shape. You don't normally put your main object in the center, so we'd assume he's very important.

Then there's this repeated notes in the background. When something is repeated a lot, it giver u an impression of pressure. Especially when he's surrounded by them, and they take more space within the frame than he does.

Also, this is a down shot, the camera is pointing down and behind him. You'll feel your character being watched or at his lower point of life when u do that.

Inspirations:

Movies mostly, and traditional artists.

Back when I was in film school I watched a bunch of movies n that slowly became a habit, movies r very good sources for ideas.

Even if you're not having enough time, watching reviews n analysis would also help, (but I'd suggest u try to consume the films not listening to critics to get a unique experience.)

about the bloody fingers debate and whether it's edvin or not:

let me assure you those are not edvin's fingers lmao. there are many many scenes of yr and also just many random pictures of him where you can very easily gauge the size of his fingers/hands. his fingers are way bigger than that 😭. (just check the morning after scene in 1x05 of yr and you'll know it's true) another thing is that from her caption you can tell the incident happened to her, it kinda seems like she's giving 'advice' so it's from a personal experience for sure. so it's definitely not edvin with the bloody hand.

about the jacket, I have absolutely no idea. but I will tell you some of the photos she's posted are not recent at all. the second to the last photo (where she's smiling like a normal human being for once) is from more than a month ago. it's from a costume party (similar to the wig party in s2) that hedvig went to a month ago (sep 21st to be exact) and from the photos posted you couldn't see felicia back then but this confirms she was there. she also still has eyebrows in that picture, when we know by sep 29th she had bleached them; so that photo is from 5 weeks ago.

even if that is edvin's jacket, (which we don't know, I doubt anyone in here has a master's degree in her wardrobe) that could be from september just like the other photo was. maybe they were still together back then. maybe it's her own jacket. who knows?

I think there are way too many signs that suggest they're not together anymore, edvin's trip to the us being the most obvious one. I know people say edvin's trip was a work thing and that's why he didn't take felicia, but that's not a good enough excuse for me I'm sorry. the day edvin went to nyc, felicia's bestie (beatry) was there. she actually lives part time there and works there. in fact bc of a comment she'd made under her post ppl thought felicia is definitely going with edvin, but we know she didn't. while edvin was busy with work she could've just met her best friend. also let's be serious, edvin most likely didn't do any 'work' in nyc. he just saw kit and chilled for the most part. and ever since he's been in la, he's been having meetings and castings yes but we can see he's also essentially on a semi vacation and he knew it before he went. it could easily be a chance for them to just travel together ESPECIALLY when sigge mj and co are already there anyway and edvin is living at mj's house now too (tho he didn't plan to obviously). also she has no jobs. there's nothing holding her back bc she has commitments in sweden. isak, hugo and zed are also currently in nyc. like there are soooo many ppl she could essentially spend time with and meet being there while edvin was busy with his own thing and she still didn't come. we can't be sure. I doubt we'll be sure in a very long time bc edvin has no projects that are gonna premiere before next year june which means he's essentially not obligated to do any interviews until then. which means no questions about his dating life for at least another 6 months. and let's be honest he can very easily not go to guldbaggen or gay gala (that is if anything of his even gets nominated in the first place). i don't think felicia would be back to her normal self and edvin would act like an independent human being if they were still together. there are way too many hints that they've broken up for me to get stuck on the fact that might have been in the same malte concert when we know even omar has been to one of them recently at the same time as felicia. even if it's true, it could be just that. them chilling at a bar. just being friendly.

he's not gonna unpin those posts until either he fr gets a role in the us within the next few weeks/months and pins that or promo era for 28 years later or alw starts and that's months from now. this current situation is perfect for them. you can tell nothing is the same, but at the same time there's nothing that obligates them to speak about their dating life. so they can just go on with their lives and act supportive online and keep people believing that "they're just being private" and when finally the time comes and they (or just edvin really) have to admit that yeah 'we actually broke up' or "I'm single currently!" it'd be ages from when their actual break up had happened (literally the second promo for apoy was done). so they'd be able to make it look like 'oh we actually broke up almost a year after we hard launched 🥰' instead of having to admit to the world that they broke up the second it didn't serve felicia anymore and also after all the pr distasters they caused just so she gains an ounce of relevance. so yeah. I think they broke up, but they are and will be friendly and will try to keep people in the dark about whether they broke up or not but we can tell. a clear sign of break up now so soon after apoy and all that happened would confirm everything for the common masses. if the hate train was bad in summer, it'd get 10 times worse. keeling ppl in the dark until months and months passes and then confirming that yeah we broke up is good for both their images bc it'll make the break up look normal and that's what they need to get over this whole phase with the least damage.

my favorite female character

yor yor yor. I like her for a few reasons, but I think the main thing is just generally her main emotional arc thus far. how she wants to 'belong' but how she also needs to 'fit in' and how it also circles around the idea of normality. she thinks she wants to be normal when what she wants is to be accepted. and she knows she needs to be *seen* as normal for safety reasons (sth sth societal commentary even outside of the cold war backdrop) but she doesn't understand *how*. what does it mean to be a mother and to be a wife and what aspects of that does she want to fulfill for herself and which is she just doing because it's part of her cover.

she has all these needs and wants and hasn't yet figured out how to even begin untangling them. and despite that, she's still one of the most emotionally intelligent characters in the series.

my favorite male character

loid. he's the obvious option but still. I always tend to appreciate the anxious types and whilst technically all of the main three have their own little anxiety spirals, loid's way of overcomplicating things is my favourite. he's a very intriguing mix of anxiety, denial, and competence.

I am very much enjoying the length of time it's taking to wear him down. we only got full confirmation he's actively compromised as of the mole arc which is super recent but for me the pacing is just right. he has to earn that character development and be dragged through kicking and screaming.

Not super into shipping in this fandom, but overall, I'd say twiyor. the fact that it's a 'fake' relationship but they enter into it on honest enough terms that they actually make something really healthy for both of them out of it. they each mutually get something out of it too.

yor wants to be useful. she's grown up providing for yuri and now he's gone all she has left is her job, but this 'relationship' and her new family give her the opportunity to *do* something. to defend and protect her people. and to give her someone to confide in, where she's never had that before.

for twilight, he's always been planning and preparing for all possibilities. always acting, never letting anyone see what's beneath, until he had forgotten even himself. one of my fave twiyor moments was in the recent chapter where twilight gets home and immediately his legs give out, because he feels *safe*. he's let his guard down with yor and even if he's worried about being compromised, he let it down because he trusts in her character. the remedy for someone so full of masks is someone devoid of them, and for all that yor is the thorn princess, she has never faked *who* she is.

and tying back to what I was saying about yor and normality before. the fact that loid knows what it's like to pretend means that he's in the position to tell yor that she's good as she is. she doesn't *need* to fake her whole personality to fit in. sure, they both have their covers, but for the large part, what's beneath is genuine.

a character I’d die defending

I think nightfall's character may not be as developed as most people would like at this stage, but the way she's written is very deliberate. she's a compare/contrast with yuri (and also to some extent, with twilight) and she shows how love and obsession intertwine. how *obsession* can be dangerous. the mole arc to me is waving a big red flag above nightfall's head and saying that if she doesn't change something, if she keeps metaphorically diving headfirst in front of twilight, then she's going to end up the one riddled with bullets.

handler! it's not that I ever disliked her as such, but for a long time she just seemed a kind of girlboss-esque character with a neat character design. she had her moments (bond arc speech and also propaganda chapter my beloved), but it wasn't until we had her focus chapter where we followed her day that I was like "oh." Like, I knew that she'd lost her family, but I was falling for the facade that she was on top of everything. And the realisation that she wasn't? That she was deep in depression, but you know who might dig her out of it? Her pet dog and a little girl. Definitely got to me.

my anti otp

anti otp is a bit strong a feeling for it, but I think the way I read damianya differs from a decent chunk of the fandom. I tend to see it as one-sided and am perfectly happy for it to stay that way or for them to just end up becoming better friends down the line, but I know what I'm against here so I'm not going to place any bets.

Mato Shihei no Slave

TLDR: Slave to Hells Soldiers is a really fun adventure full of flashy action, well thought out characters, and a story that makes you want to dive deeper or (in my personal opinion) even inspire you to add to the world

Summary: When the monster-filled world of Mato opened in modern day Japan, the whole world is threatened by the Shuuki that inhabit it. Even more mysterious are the peaches found in Mato as they give women who eat them special powers. Yukki Wakura is an average student who when walking home one day, worrying about his future as an office worker, a gate opens before him. During his rescue the captain of the demon corps 7th unit Kyouka Uzen grants him extraordinary strength and a monstrous form... as her slave. 

Romance: StHS is action first and romance second, but that's not to say that the romance is bad!. With the strong characters and the dynamics built between them, there is a great foundation that the authors build upon very well. 

Action: StHS action is extremely well done, maybe even some of the best I have seen. It is flashy, and fun, and builds to be larger than life. Refreshingly, you can really feel the growth of the characters through practice and new techniques, rather than getting a new big power up right before the big boss.

Slave to Hell's Soldiers (Mato Seihei no Slave, officially localized as Chained Soldier) is an erotic action manga with romantic subplots, written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura. This review will be up to chapter 125 as that is what I  have access to unless some major things do change.  When I read it a year or two ago I enjoyed it enough, but, coming back and rereading for this review had me falling in love. The story is quick but done very well, with very few scenes that don't build the story, the world, or the characters and their dynamics. It's a prime example of efficiency in writing. When not building up the story or characters, it is pure action and - sometimes - pure fan service. The Action is fast and fluid - doing a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. Even if you know who will win (and there are times where you might be wrong) StHS keeps you wondering what will come next. StHS has built enough faith and trust with me to feel that my recommendation is worth it.

If you look at the story from just a beat-by-beat perspective, then it really is not too out of the ordinary. How those moments are crafted, though, really brings the whole manga to life. The efficiency of the story comes from author skill and maximizing the use of every scene. Most if not all scenes fit multiple purposes, never is there a moment of dead air. A good example of this would be the fan service: It starts off purely for the erotica, but as the audience and characters would be getting used to its presence, Takahiro adds more elements to it. A good example is how everyone reacts to having to do sexual favors as a reward for Yuuki.  Another example is how the characters talk about the latest battle - or what their plans for the next battle, thus adding even more characterization. 

There is an exception: the action. StHS is about action first and foremost; and it takes the  time to let you really enjoy it. There is still some characterization and story in these moments, but the focus never moves away from the fight. Unlike a lot of other action stories that have the protagonist get stronger with a power up seemingly out of nowhere, the reader sees Yuuki and the rest of the Mato Corps train and think about new strategies - even if we don't see them in action until the next large threat comes along a few chapters later. Allowing the growth feels earned and worked for in the quickly paced story of StHS. 

Even when we look at the action as isolated moments instead of as a whole, it is larger than life, often with threats that could take out entire cities if not more - and you really feel the threat. There is not a major fight that is one sided. The person in control is passed back and forth as both sides use different strategies and learn to fight each other mid-combat. That is, with the exception of The Commander of the Defence Corp, who can seemingly take out any threat that comes her way - to the point that no threat that even makes her worry has come yet. It's hard to write a character so overpowered whose strength is still felt. Slave to Hell's Soldiers accomplished it. The protagonists don't win every time, they don't lose in a major way where someone dies or is injured in lasting ways (mostly due to healing powers), but even without that threat you stay on the edge of your seat, biting to find what happens next.

Right after a large fight things need to wind things down and let you rest before the action kicks up again, StHS does this by having Kyouka Uzen's slave ability give a "Reward". This reward system is described as giving a fitting reward to the slave for the work they did based on their latent desires. For Yuuki, this tends to be erotic. There is some level of dubious consent - as the people giving the reward have no control of their bodies - but after Yuuki learns what the reward tends to be, he talks to whoever would be using the power and they have reason they would be ok with the sexual acts. Oftentimes they see the rewards as a means to an end. Others like Yuuki enough that they would do the same acts even without it being forced. In the case of Tenka, she just joins in without any need to, though I would love to see the form Yuuki takes under her control. 

This does bring up the problem of age, though. Yuuki starts the story as a highschool senior, and the character ages are never stated in the story or even in the character bios between chapters. There are hints that time has passed and the cast has since aged, such as when Yuuki calls his friend and they mention that they haven't talked since they were in high school - as if they were in college or were an office worker. With younger characters such as Nei Ookawamura - who is in elementary School they tone it down to the point that it is no longer sexual. She only gives him a kiss on the cheek or head pats. 

The reasoning Slave to Hell's Soldiers provides for having its erotic moments is very light, and it's obvious that it is only there as much as is needed, as it doesn't build on other parts of the manga. It never becomes a point of conflict in the story, but it does build on the lighthearted tone that the series has. 

Outside of the erotic moments, the romance is done very gradually, and hasn't taken the focus of any chapter. There is a lot of character building and showing the relationship growth between Yuuki and the rest of the cast, giving StHS a stable foundation for when the romantic relationships do take a more solid form. Having established that they do care for each other a lot, but explained to the audience (and the chief to herself), as being a fellow soldier or worker rather than romantic. This stays the case until Kyouka starts becoming jealous of Yuuki spending time with other girls. 

Jealousy In stories is a double edged sword. If done well, you can have characters show more emotions - which is especially useful if the character keeps emotions hidden away from others and themselves. Done poorly, it leads to the audience being annoyed at a character and the plot entirely, as the easiest solution of communicating with each other is avoided. In Slave to Hell's Soldier's, it is done beautifully: as they set up the jealousy to where Kyouka doesn't know why she would feel that way; and before she could act on it, Yuuki decides to avoid Lending (the power that lets others control Yuuki and change his form) unless necessary. Even when the plot point is brought back up, by learning that the Lending process powers up the base form as well, Kyouka and Yuuki talk about it and decide together what to do. 

An interesting choice the author makes is that the two people first to  fall in love with Yuuki - and who are most open about their love - are Shushu Suruga and Tenka Izumo. Yet, these two never really use Lending. Shushu often even stops other girls from trying to seduce Yuuki, despite not really getting many moments of just the two of them after she falls in love. Tenka Izumo on the other hand, jumps into others' rewards because she wants the skinship. She even treats Yuuki’s sister as her own, acting like she and Yuuki are already married.

Writing aside, the art style is really cute. It starts off round and expressive, only to calm down and become more generic after the first chapter. It is still really good and the forms that Yukki takes contrast their surroundings by being very sharp and angular, causing  them to stand out and stick in the reader's mind. These forms, either through lending or with Himari Azuma, are distinct and representative of each character, keeping you excited to see the next form. Inspirational in the truest form, I kept Imagining myself in the world and thinking about what powers I would have.

Slave to Hell's Soldiers is an absolute blast of a read that I would recommend to anyone interested in a Erotic-Action-based Harem, especially if you like making fan works. With artstyle so round that sharpens to make stunning characters and monsters. A simple story that is so tight and sleek that it does what it wants and does it amazing. 

I will keep reading it as it releases and have high hopes for where it is going.

No plans atm other than preparing and thinking about sth for Arki as his birthday follows up next. Also promised I'll take some pics of Enzo and Jay as i couldn't make it in time for Enzo's bday. So I don't have much to add other than what I sneak-peaked last week that will be posted when I feel ready to push the button in my drafts (some pics are already months old again …). All other VP ideas are on hold as I still would liketo play the game a bit longer and only do random pics in between — but I need to solve first my problem I have with Thyjs' save data that is crashing when wanting to watch the deathshead BD in Judy's van. I want to look into it on the weekend because before I hop back into my bigger VP ideas I plan to get every oc into Phantom Liberty start and have them skilled a bit because that also motivates me to actually play the game from time to time and helps me to describe their fight style in the rp story. If I can't solve it I'll try Vijay next and see if he crashes too at the same point or not as I remember he's not far away from the Scav mission either. Then last I can try is Jay but he needs to get through the entire prologue first which will take me a weekend as well.

He noticed that Vijay says something Ry can’t concentrate on since he’s busy staring the redhead down and trying to see through him, but sees V starts walking and so he follows. They walked a bit further away leaving the red-haired man alone, Vijay pleased to stay and wait until they would come back to him. Once they were far away enough, Ryder turns around and raises his voice with a certain gnarl in his undertone “I leave you alone for almost an hour and you take the next best chance to shove your tongue down the throat of one of those Corporats?!” “Ry—” Vijay starts but Ryder is not done and so he hisses dangerously. “ON A JOB!? — Seriously V!” Scharfenberg shifts his weight to one leg, breathes audibly through his nostrils, crosses his arms and waits for V’s explanation.

Somehow Steyr finds it funny because he knows Ryder exaggerates it as always. Nonetheless Vijay feels a bit embarrassed as well because he knows Ry is also right. He should behave in a certain manner here but he is bad at being a Corpo. “Calm down man — Part of the job now,” V answers and gives him a stupid smirk. “You weren’t in reach. Had to escape from that escort chick otherwise I’d have blown cover. Unlike you I dunno how to friggin’ corpo. Dunno how to even pronounce my fuckin’ fake name either. Stainback von Kra– Krawnee–” “Steinbach von Kranichstein!” Ryder repeats fast in exasperation. 

They’ve practiced it a few times before and V still wasn’t able to pronounce it right. “Yeah whatever!” Vijay gestures with his hands. “But uh— Arki happened to—” “Oh, it’s ‘Arki’ already?!” “—chill a few feet away from me, so I took the chance to escape and, yeah — he’s my fiancé in disguise now as long as we are on the job here. He’s the dude from the Afterlife weeks ago, ‘member? Could help us out on this.” Ryder raises both eyebrows, his mouth opens a bit and he feels how Beast wants him to yell at V yet he -tries- to stay the calmest he can be. “Afterlife red haired rando? Supposed demon — your fiancé?! Alter Vadder! Tell me this is a joke!?” Ryder throws both hands in the air and makes a few steps as if he wants to walk away now and curses further in German “Ich glaub, ich bin im falschen FIlm!” He wasn’t in the wrong movie, though. “Chill, bro. I’ve got it under control. All good,” Steyr tries to calm his friend. “V, you know he’s a—” Scharfenberg starts but stops abruptly as he realizes something now that doesn’t make much sense to him. Wait. Afterlife merc rando— a true Corporate? How’s that fitting in? “He’s what?” V raises an eyebrow at that. “Forget it!“ “M‘Kay, if y’say so.” V crosses his arms, not satisfied about Ry’s answer.

“Just don’t like to get into a fucking mess,V!” Scharfenberg spits his sentence out rather inappropriately. Judging by V’s face however Ry notices it is meant seriously, so he facepalms with an angry growl as Beast already tells him to just flip the switch, turn around and kill some of those poor dancing souls behind him. “I’m not riding us into a mess. I bet he can help us to klep the info we here for.” Ryder gets immensely fidgety, looking into every direction trying to ignore the voice as best as he can. He fiddles out a menthol cigarette, lights it up and takes a few long puffs inhaling it deeply into his lungs as he walks up and down glad that Vijay waits until he’s done. The least V could use was having Ryder in a critical state on this job, so V gives his best mate time to clear his mind.

JOHNNY THE MISTAKE FROM GOD who i havent looked at for years . i haven't thought about him for so long i wonder how he's doing, i actually cant imagine what he would be doing right now. he's like my age. maybe he went to study like. car mechanics in trade school. yeah that fits him. i still think he has like no friends irl beside Ivar. Ivar also has no friends bc he's autistic. I can appreciate basically anything that's not heavy metal or hip-hop, and have favourite artists in many genres. But perhaps folk (traditional ballads, shanties, acoustic ones written in the last century, blues influeced, country-ish, and cowboy trail songs, they all count). It's basically the only kind of music that I sing to myself on a daily basis. Ah for just one time...🎶

No... I hate them. I don't even like doing jigsaws. Don't have the patience for it. It just doesn't engage me for some reason.

Insect phobia in general, but especially ones that can fly and big enough for me to notice their anatomy. Just get away from me thank you very much. Also deep sea. I read and write about the sea but I can't swim. I dived one time in the red sea and it freaked me out. Danger danger everywhere and even in clear water on a sunny day, vision is obstructed. Ominous deep blue all around where danger could strike at any moment, falling until you are crushed by water and never touches ground. I really thought I was going to drown back there. Also a serious case of trypophobia, I cannot deal with small holes...

Favourite childhood sport

Badminton, play it with an imaginary net to separate an imaginary court and can never agree on if the shuttlecock is over the net or out of the court, consult imaginary judge. On weekends used to go to the stadium and rent a court with my parents. I am not good but I put my life on the line playing it.

Nostalghia (1983) - Tarkovsky, very dear to me, as someone who left their home country at a young age and have always felt the language and cultural barrier to be insurmontable. But also the hope and longing and things I cannot name in that movie... The only movie that gave me a breakdown.

Stalker (1979) - Tarkovsky, loved the book too, but this film was literally perfect to me. Haven't watched it in years, should tho.

Velvet Goldmine (1998) - Todd Haynes, this is the film that changed me fundamentally as a person, when I was fourteen, watching it on my phone at lunch break. That could be me that could be me that could be me, I thought. It wasn't the gayness, it's seeing people wearing what they want and acting how they want without shame and fear of ridicule, and how it is actually possible. Never seen anything like it. This thought is gonna keep ruminating until i "say" it but whnvr i read username instead of thinking of the English word fool i think of the dish "Ful medames, or simply fūl" and i dont know why because when i read fool in a sentence i dont think tht. But sth about it being alone makes me think about the food specifically the canned version my dad likes

I saw this at work and i didnt want to respond then because if i use my phone to respond i was a little worried tumblr was going to eat it but in the mean time i came up with so much i wanted to say so excuse this response being unreasonably long.

I quite like fava beans but my favourite beans is butter beans (lima beans) and sometimes i think a fava bean is a butter bean and get disappointed when it isn't. But that's not the fault of the humble fava bean. I think this is some of the best involuntary associations, beans are so underrated but are so good for you. They can be quite hard on my stomach but after I'm done disgesting I feel so much better and my body feels much healthier.

I hadn't heard of ful medames before but I kinda want to try that recipe now. I think another reason "my-fool" doesn't register as the english words because it's quite unusual combination of words. I wanted it in second-person because the fool in question isn't *me*, my url is named after the fool in the realm of the elderlings series by Robin Hobb. In November last year I started a boring below minimum wage job which has the unique benefit of a nice manager that lets me read when there's no work to do, so I started reading the realm of the elderlings series.

The fool is an ethereal, mischevious yet deadly earnest and loving character who is not quite male or female, not quite human or fae, not quite local and not quite foreign. He sees the future.

A lot of fans wrote a lot about how homophobic the books are about his unrequited* love for the main character/narrator of 9 out of the 16 books in the series, FitzChivalry Farseer. But I think the fool is treated with a great amount of love and respect by Fitz, it's just that the fool exists in a world that fundamentally doesn't understand him. The hostility the fool faces is never justified by the narrative, Hobb doesn't write the fool as a freak to laugh at, but he is a stranger in a strange land, and his foreign understanding of sex and gender is at odds with the deeply repressive and traditionalist society he travels in to.

*unrequited = imo, it's by no means unrequited. Every paragraph from Fitz's perspective concerning him reverberates with love for the fool. He sometimes awkwardly clarifies that he loves the fool "as a man loves another man" (whatever that means), and I think there's a line later in the books where he says he doesn't want to have sex with the fool. So you could ignore all the chemistry and say oh they're just good friends. But I don't see it that way.

To show what I meant, I wanted to share a snippet of Fool's Errand (book 7), and I didn't want to share one of the really romantic, memorable lines -- I wanted to share literally just the last section I've read his very afternoon which is about them discussing magic charms they bought at the market. (a White = ancient fey race which the fool belongs to).

“They are tuned to humans. You forget that I am a White.” The statement left me as speechless as the insidious little sketches had. I looked at the Fool and for one blink I could see him as if for the first time. As attractive as his coloring was, I had never seen any other person with it. There were other differences, the way his wrists attached his hands to his arms, the airiness of his hair . . . but when our eyes met, I was looking at my old friend again. It was like jolting back to the earth after a fall.

This chapter felt kinda iluminating in many ways...

I have to admit that I had to go back to Max his last text to understand why she wrote her answer the way she did. When I first read his words I didn't even think too much about it. Like I didn't feel it was sulky or anything at first. But her reaction made me realize he probably was. And tbh, after not showing any kind of reaction to her dating someone, his response did stick out and ofc she picks up on it. So he's letting his idgaf attitude slip a little. And it absolutely fits the weekend he's had.

On the other hand I feel like her reacting the way she did was pretty telling too. She knows about the shit weekend he's had. She knows he wants her there. She could have let it slip. But she didn't! She immediately blew it up and made it bigger than she needed to make it. She writes Daniel, tells him about it and says she trusts in them and wants Max to do the same. But does she? To me it all feels like she's just as afraid of any possible change to their relationship as Max is. Maybe that's why she didn't want to tell him at first. It's so freaking good how you change this dynamic between them with tiny baby steps and make it work out so incredibly well. I'm really curious who crumbles first. 😅

It was also rather interesting to have her text Daniel. Lando's been the one she'd confided in with the Thing™️ and now she's casually texting Daniel and talking about a date. Like did she know he knows? Did she tell him? Did she assume he knows because of the gossip? Or was she sure Max said sth?

One thing became perfectly clear to me after that chapter. And maybe I was stupid to not get the notion earlier but... I'd always thought it's Max who's kinda obsessed with her, kinda dependent on her in a way. But really this goes both ways. To me she appeared to be more flippant of things, not less caring, don't get me wrong, but more chill, more layed back, joking with things. I've always understood that she'd do anything for him. But I didn't get the notion that she's just as dependent on him as it's the other way around. Now I do!!!

I think Max was doing a pretty good job playing it cool, until all his fears were realised, after a shitty weekend to boot. He wants her there, he knows she wants to be there, but she (in his mind) is putting the date ahead of that. He’s like, is this the new normal? You can’t come early because of this guy now but next time you can’t come to race weekends because of him, next you’re moving out, where does it end. I think all that went through his head and he just had to detach before he said something he’d regret.

I feel like she isn’t let it slip because in a way, she’s been waiting for this. She’s been waiting for him to have the issue everyone said he would and it’s finally happened. She’s like, ah it’s out in the open now at least.

I think she does have more trust in them, or at least, in their commitment to each other. I don’t think there’s any part of her that doesn’t believe she will always come first to Max. That’s why she brings up the instances where he’s been with other people, not because she’s jealous that those things happen, but because she’s saying “he does all this and I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt he will come back to me and put me first, he needs to trust that I can date/have a boyfriend and he will still come first”. Because yes he was with his gf on her birthday, but he threw her a birthday party, yes he sleeps with girls but he comes home to her, yes he’s messaging people on Raya but she’s the one he calls when he wants to talk. She’s very confident and secure in that bond, and she feels like he should be to that same extent. That said, there’s reasons they have different insecurities (idk if I’ll have time to explore that or even be able to in a realistic way), and she’s not really being as sensitive to that as she could be.

My headcanon is that she mentioned it to Daniel but she never knew that Max had told him first. I think she went to Daniel bc as much as Max and Lando are close, Daniel has been more of a guidance to her and to Max in their younger years. I think she was looking for more of a big brother figure in that moment, and someone who is decidedly more mature than Max to admit that he was acting immature. Maybe even someone to tell her that she was being immature.

I think Max has always come off as more dependent because he is more…maybe anxious in his attachment. But as I said earlier, I don’t think she’s any less attached to him, she’s just more confident. It’s debatable which one of them is more naive. The one who is terrified of change or the one who is adamant nothing will ever change…
