can you even call it a warm up if I'm going to bed without drawing anything big
and a sketch I made while sitting in the park today
#sketch#my art#bnha#shigaraki tomura#tenko shimura#all for one#midoriya izuku#bnha manga spoilers#only after I finished basically polishing this sketch did I notice how it's basically dark and light mode#also the first one is basically a redraw of illustration from vol 11#I know that translation of Tenko's words is different in official but eh#fanart#I've kind of recovered from recent chapters#and I was analysing those chapters all morning#I'm still thinking but otherwise the chapters are so good#also did you notice that AFO actually talked about how his other him didn't use that 'last thing' yet and that was in ch 410#and in ch 419 he did so it's real and it's still sad#but still AFO was never hiding it enough#from Tomura maybe but we as readers actually saw his plans play out#in any case I'm still just sitting with those two Izuku and Tenko interaction chapters#I waited long enough#and if you don't count AFO's return Izuku DID save Tenko and it's so interesting#since he now has to save his OTHER origin that was in ch 237 taught to kill whatever he wants#Tenko and Tomura both had 'origins' chapters and for now we only worked with 235 and 236#and even if Izuku helped with the start of 237 there's still AFO#in any case it was a hard week#also the second thing actually had them holding hands#and then I was like 'but at that point Izuku's hands are gone oh no'#and it was just Tenko holding air where the hand was destroyed#in any case that scene.

I have written four different opening scenes for chapter 36. MERCY, I BEG!
#the first opening scene is very solid and will likely end up being scene two or three depending#the second opening scene didn't get nearly as far and may end up scrapped#the third opening scene (larys) is probably going to be rewritten to have viserys in it because it's not dynamic enough with just daemon#the fourth opening scene...may end up being the actual one#figuring out the sequencing so that i get to do special plot thingy is so much tougher than i expected#it's also annoying to have written a full chapter's worth of words (6000+) and be so far from having an actual chapter#oh well it's not like there's a deadline; i have time to figure it out#maybe i should go back to outlining like i did back in the day#(it was mostly just laying out the next 3-4 scenes with a sentence description each)

#ingi post!#40+ hrs in deltarune and I JUST finished one complete run (ch1-4 no mercy + snowgrave) and have already started another (ch1-4 pacifist)#seeing the consequences of ch2 snowgrave play out in ch4 literally had my jaw drop at the viscerality of it#also just like. with ch1-2 deltarune i felt it was already on the same quality level as undertale but ch3-4 rlly surpassed my expectations#by like *a lot* a lot#3D!!! was not expecting 3D stuff at all!!#and we have still 3 more chapters to go?? holy shit#ch3-4 rlly just set it in for me that deltarune as a game is going to be a much larger and more ambitious game than undertale#anw this run was literally the first time i beat jevil ever (woo!)#second time for me to beat snowgrave spamton neo (literally was asking myself how i beat this guy the first time from a couple of yrs ago#while i fought him again)#and i died to ch3 secret boss' final attack a lot before realizing i was doing the whole fight wrong lol#fav boss fight that i did in the entire run was actually prob ch4 secret boss (in the newest dark world)#(havent done the other one since i fought the darkners in ch3)#loved the vibes of that entire fight#also the jumpscare (dread) of having hard undertale bullet patterns show up in ch3-4 😃 (loved the iteration in the undyne fight mechanics)#and the jumpscare (positive) that is sans deltarune#loved the bits where he showed up 😁 esp at the end of ch4 (i like that they put that whole scene at the end after *gestures at 2nd half#of ch4*)#not looking forward to a megalovania 2 (or similar no mercy fight from another character) if thats in the cards at all tho#anw quickfire thoughts#loved the new lightner dark world designs! unique but still evokes the vibe of their undertale counterparts#what the HELL is the song coming from across the lake??#its raining somewhere else!!! might be the first undertale melody to properly show up in deltarune iirc#i bet the fandom is having fun with battle throuple (happy pride month) shenanigans and whatever happened with spamton and 📺 lol#dess is def in that creepy shelter now (for how long tho? smthn mightve happened to her that makes her no longer recogniseable [to others#and/or herself])#the fact that 📺 is PRE-RENDERED 3D GRAPHICS?? (i love saying “PRE-RENDERED 3D GRAPHICS??” everytime i see their sprite)#does asgore know about the dark worlds?? he seems like someone that could know about it (conspiracy board+being former chief of police#means he prob know the facts about dess' dissapearance)

#personal stuff#delete later#just finished rereading fragments [shaky thumbs up]#been struggling with writing so what is there to do but reread my own stuff to learn from my mistakes 👍#man you can REALLY tell where i started getting crunched for time by a self-imposed deadline. like the quality is staggering#i could have stopped this fic at april and been content with it fr...#like if i had shuffled around some stuff in the later chapters to appear a little earlier. and actually had april be the resolution#might've gone a bit better. but alas.#anyway. the second half of the fic is rough for sure. but the early chapters. those kick ass. genuinely.#august is a good introduction!! i like the setup!!#and though i STILL clutch my head in my hands wrt september. the themes of the conversation at the end came off well#november i love you november. captures the feeling of anxiety Really well. still makes me cry whenever i reread it To This Day#the argument in december actually kinda goes hard?? i am always so shy abt writing confrontation bc it feels Bad but man it kinda kicked as#and february mwah mwah mwah. loove the atmosphere with that one. it's a little dramatic but ough. the vibes are off the charts#turns out. the bad parts of these earlier chapters were a lot smaller than i thought#and by ignoring the urge to cringe and instead looking my work in the face. i can learn from my mistakes. crazy#most of the later chapters though. don't look at me i was struggling.#trying to come up w ideas and arrange them around important dates was a fun concept but the novelty wore off#as i was like ughh but thematically this scene would work better here before this chapter...#i had suuuch a strong vision for april but i kinda stumbled with the execution as pointed out by one commenter#and that kinda put me off the chapter as a whole on rereads even after editing it. like whyyyy did i write it like that. head in hands#and it does not fit all that well after march. i think i relied a little too heavily on the timeskips for drama in both chapters#june was fine i guess but don't get me started on july. july was ass i had no idea what i was doing.#i think i wrapped up that chapter really well for what i had to work with but like. man#i don't even like Reading stuff like that why'd i write it.#what writing a chapter for the sake of posting it rather than for the sake of finishing up a fic does to you 😔#anyway yeah. i had a lot of fun rereading it but. mostly in the first half. i could stop reading at february and be content with that.#i think i took psychic damage from reading the later chapters. not bc they were bad but bc like. i remembered not having as much fun w them#and feeling stressed and crunched for time like they were a homework assignment that was due instead of a fun hobby for me#crazy. not doing that this time.

one of the big draws for me when watching let's players is watching them achieve something. the progression of it. and even occasional setbacks are interesting because it demonstrates growth and suspense, and 'how're they gonna get out of this now?' but games that try to put in an excess of complex puzzles that aren't the draw, with no real defined goal beyond showing off story that's designed purely to sell, are just frustrating to watch...especially in the case of survival horror if it's a fast-paced sequence and big stakes and the player literally can't slow down and take it in without dying. like hey i get you wanna show off your awesome indie horror Lore while also holding tight onto that golden 'survival horror' selling point. but also. could you not stuff the escape key into a gordian's knot while Poopy Pissfuck is after me
#this is me abt poppy playtime. i hate that franchise im sorry#i understand the appeal and the story is vaguely interesting#and i will put it on when the ppl i follow do a lets play of it. for background noise#but. like. dawg. other than the first mediocre chapter all of them suck so bad#and i dont even remember anything from the second chapter rlly except the last scene#the environment puzzles are mostly fine. but its the boss fight puzzles that are especially bad - its just so clunky and awkward#either it's not intuitive enough for the player to figure out without having to die a few times#or its implemented way too jankily for even the viewers to feel anything but frustrated with it#i dont know maybe im not a gamer enough to get it#but i feel like the biggest selling point for this franchise isn't the gameplay but the story. which doesnt make me want to play it at all#sometimes when a lets player shows off a game that i like i'll try to buy it and play it for myself. even if its a linear story game#but if the player isn't enjoying the game mechanics then what's the point. it's just a shitty interactive storybook#id rather just get a summary from someone else at that point#rambles

There's this scum villain fic i read a while back that i can't find and i'm sad :(
it was an omegaverse fic w only four chapters, and the premise was that shen yuan transmigrated into alpha SQQ but couldn't smell pheromones at all, and binghe was an omega whose pheromones were irresistible because of his heavenly demon heritage. The plot played out pretty much exactly the same as it did in canon, except no one realizes that SQQ can't smell pheromones.
#i fear it might have been deleted 💔#it was one of my favorites too#the fourth chapter especially was my favorite#iirc the first half was the BG vs BM extra#and i remember that bingge was forced to return to his own world with the knowledge that sqq loved bingmei even without his pheromones#and that bingge couldn't say the same about anyone from his own world#the second half was about doomed liujiu/one-sided liushen#and revealed that lqg and sqq were actually fated mates#and i remember it gutted me because not only did it have a lqg pov for his death in lingxi cave#at the very end of the chapter lqg finds out that sqq can't smell pheromones at all so he has no idea about them being fated mates#and he literally has to sit down to process this information#mind you the author puts these two scenes back to back so i hope you can imagine my face after finishing the chapter#i really wanna reread this. i'm straight up praying it wasn't deleted i maybe just need to look more#i really wish i atleast rememithe author's username 💔#me talking

dont apologize for going insane im putting my rambles out there to also find insane people 🤝🤝🤝 but yeah i haven't played rebirth yet but seeing people complain on the basis of "it's not og" is ALWAYS crazy to me because it's SUPER clear, in both an in-universe and out-of-universe sense that it's like. Explicitly not OG. It's so explicitly about breaking the chains of og and that's super super interesting. remakeverse is like it's own beast and its very cool and it's also making me lose my mind because the "what if"'s are so beautiful but also [breaking down about the original timeline] THERE WAS SO MUCH LOVE THERE TOO AND IT DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING!!!! #Biggest take away from the episode: @fandom Dazai can't be Atsushi's father figure if he himself says Atsushi's father figure is the–#headmaster check your facts#Second biggest take away from the episode: the worst thing the headmaster transmitted Atsushi ought to be the terrible haircut choices#Mmmmhhh I could spend another whole tag rant to talk about how much I dislike the writing of Lucy in this episode 😭😭😭#But I worry I'll start being perceived as someone who hates women if I do so I won't.#(But let me just say. I really really *really* despite the “what women [alien and mysterious beings] want is hard to understand and–#impossible to decipher and more often than not they will say the exact opposite of what they mean” stereotype.#Like I hate it to an intimate extent.)#I quite like Kyouka's backstory!! I feel like she's the most fleshed out female character with a compelling character arc and personality.#I really like her. Lucy and Atsushi working as make-do parents (very largerly intended. More like siblings who are dating but that sounds–#even worse) was very cute. And I appreciate how the events seemed to set off Atsushi's own reflection on parenthood.#The same doesn't happen in the manga since the chapters are placed in a different order.#Overall this is just an episode that when I was reading the manga for the first time solidified my understanding that me and b/sd have#RADICALLY different views on the world. But now that after three years and having long come to terms with it.#I suppose it's just something that's there.#Ususal notes about the animation just for talks. The lack of budget really shows this episode and in the second half in particular.#It's especially noticeable in backgrounds that are just... Not the stunning backgrounds that usually make b/sd's anime strong point.#So in turn the lack of details comes off as twice as evident as it normally would :/#The whole Atsushi / Tanizaki exchange at the start of the chapter until the headmaster's identity is revealed is completely devoid–#of host which has me just?? What happened here??? A track slowly building up tension is an almost automatic choice I'm just like.#What happened. If it was a deliberate choice it was a very bad one in my humble opinion#On a more positive note I really like whoever drew the characters “background appearence” this episode eheh#(you know‚ the more stylized one when they're not on close up)#And the drawings at the end of the episode daz/atsu twilight scene were good.
