Oops.” He cackles a bit more, eyes lidded and posture loose as he keeps his hands on his hips. The man is garbed like a knight, though leaning on the rough end of the scale. Mercenary is a far more appropriate term. Especially given how informal the man is with just about everything.

He notes the aggravated body language through a cracked eye, standing back up to a full posture after giving the princess a moment to steam. Over. Something. Is it not good protocol to compliment one’s appearance as “cute” or “dizzyingly” as an addition to the former? Probably not. But it’s also far tamer than other things he could have mentioned.

A small kindness she’d never realize.

“Do I still get a moment of your time? Or have I ruined that opportunity?”

     Blood splattered onto Link’s cloak and face. It had been a while since he’d done it but it seemed he still had the physical strength to decapitate a living person in once swing. Thank magic gauntlets for that probably.

     At the sound of bushes rustling he whirled around. Probably a citizen or soldier who had found the bodies and would blame him for both-

     “Z-Zelda?” His eyes became watery. It was probably asinine; they lived in a continuous loop and she was the one thing that was practically guaranteed. And yet..

     “I thought he.. that he killed you.” The arm holding his sword dropped to his side and shaky legs stumbled over to her. He wrapped his arms around her in a hug, face hidden in her shoulder.

         ― She was going to surprise him ? OH. Well, that❜s awkward. Here he is trying to surprise her after her lesson. What❜s even worse, though, is her comment on his smile, and... she said he❜s CUTE ? Oh, no. His face is heating up, undoubtedly turning bright pink – it❜s all he can do to not just immediately hide his face in his hands and turn to a large flustered pile of goo. His grasp tightens on the paper bag in his hands, the vessel carrying a few pastries from a bakery he knows she likes, the crinkling echoing in his ears. He must look like a mess – standing in the doorway like a fool, staring at Zelda and blushing madly.

Esaias pulled his hood further over his face as he wormed his way through a packed crowd.  His cloak may make him look bigger, but he was still quite thin which came in handy in places like this.  He was glad that he’d left Celia behind.  Towing her through this would have just been a mess, especially without her cloak.  But he still didn’t like crowds, so he pulled himself into a quieter alley the first chance he got, nearly running straight into a girl.

“Oh, um, apologies, miss.  ... You wouldn’t be able to help me, would you?  I’m looking for a tailor shop.”

     “Brownies.” They were technically supposed to be for band practice later, but the easiest way to make friends was to bribe them with food. Especially ahem.. Improved food.

     “They’re not too strong though. One will just keep you feeling good for the rest of the day if you haven’t had it before. Two or three might mean you’re skippin’ though.” He pulled one out of the plastic bag and bit into it. “Help yourself if you want.”

Unable to fall back asleep, he’d left home for some target practice and had been on the go all day since, performing his shift on guard duty and running errands for Saki. He’d finally caught a moment alone to himself and found a secluded spot to rest in, when—

—a weight landed hard across his chest, driving the air from his lungs. He spluttered for a moment, eyes snapping open to find the the culprit was a young Hylian girl. Where had she come from? Had she tripped, or something? ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’ he thought, shaking his head and helping her get upright again.

“Next time, watch where you’re going, will you?” he grumbled, brushing himself off.

For a moment Ganon simply blinked in surprise, wondering how she had managed to even get close enough to his cheek to kiss it, and then he remembered he was sitting down.

A short chuckle tumbled out of him and he simply reached over and patted her on the head, confused and amused by the affectionate gesture.

Link gave an indignant flick of his tail, but otherwise stayed still so Zelda could dig the sharp object out of his palm. If it weren’t for that he might have splashed her for chiding him so; he wasn’t a hatchling and had long since left the kelp beds, and if he needed mothering from anyone it definitely wouldn’t be from her.
