I noticed in your video “Carmen Sandiego being done with everyone for around 11 mintues” when you were analyzing the scene of the Dubai caper of everyone fighting, you mentioned Ivy’s hope, Zack’s black and white view, and Carmen’s guilt. I was hoping you could explain more into that? I’m genuinely curious :)

Throughout the Dubai caper, it’s interesting to see how everyone in team red reacts to Zack and Ivy’s arrest.

Carmen is furious, and i suspect it comes from her own fears and the pressure she is experiencing. She is terrified of Zack and Ivy being hurt. She is terrified of VILE getting away with their crimes in any capacity. She is feeling pressure from Shadowsan to be more professional.

Ivy and Zack feel guilty, Zack understandably so. Zack jeopardized the mission with his reckless actions. Ivy, i believe, feels guilty because she believes zack is her responsibility, since she had to take care of him on her own before meeting carmen.

Then, after Carmen shouted at the boston bois in the parking lot, we see how these three react.

Zack's view of the situation is very black and white. He seems to think that Carmen really hates them now- I wonder if this is due to a past with Zack and Ivy’s parents.

Ivy feels guilty, but hopeful. She is constantly reassuring Zack that Carmen doesnt hate them, taking care of Zack like she always has. again, may be due to their parents.

Carmen feels guilty for yelling at them, and she expresses so to player. (god, i wish we were able to see his perspective much more. i headcanon that he’s the one who arranged a ride home for zack and ivy from the jail. poor dud doesnt deserve being stuck in the middle like this.) though i wish she expressed it even more so, and apologized to zack and ivy properly. I headcanon she that she tries to make it up to zack and ivy by pretending she’s completely fine with them taking sterling’s deal. of course, shes kinda dying on the inside, but then FOUND FAMILY PREVAILS

Sayonara - Japanese, for Shadowsan.

Mon - French, for Player (this isn't technically canon, But Ontario has the most french speakers after Quebec, so it is extremely likely that Player has canadian-french as his second language)

Amigos - Spanish, for Carmen.

And she said it in her Boston accent, pulling all of them together.

This is so funny to me everytime i watch that scene.

hi! what's your favorite team red moment (can be only part of the team since there aren't many full team moments), and what's a team red moment you wish had happened in canon ?

ooo great questions!!!

its a bit difficult to decide, but some of my absolute favorite (dubiously) canon team red moments come from to steal or not to steal. Carmen's worry for the boston bois when she is briefly able to call them is so!!! and Player's light teasing to Carmen during Cleo's caper is great. A really fun one is when the team is in a milkshake shop in one of the failed endings, and zack and ivy and telling Carmen about how they came up with the song. ALSO WHEN ZACK HUGGED CARMEN DURING THE TRUST JULIA RESCUE!!!!

a moment i WISH i had in canon is a much harder question. Carmen Sandiego as a show leaves so much to be desired. One moment i'd totally kill for is a moment of Ivy being the one to put Carmen in her place or give her advice. not in a mean way! like, in the season 2 finale, when Carmen says something like, "I'll find out what happened to my dad all on my own, the only sure way i know." it wouldve been so amazing if Ivy said, "hey, you are NOT ALONE. ya dingus. Even if shadowsan ends up being the one who killed your dad, if you decide to hate him or take him down, you arent alone in this. Zack, Player, and I have been with you since nearly the beginning, and we will be with you to the end of the line." carmen literally isnt alone she has a whole found family. there is no way she would have been able to do any of this without them, emotionally or logistically
