[Out of character]
Zephyr lore established so far: Despite having a prominent role in at least one book, everyone seems to have a habit of forgetting him. One of the adult characters of the cast, he was originally on Radiance's side but not out of malice; once he realizes what she's really up to, he stands up to her and switches sides.
Jacob lore established so far: A brave knight sort of character who ends up dying at some point in the series, sacrificing himself for Rose in some way. It's implied that Radiance is the one who killed him. He had a close relationship with Ruskan, and some people ship them together though it's not directly canon.
Please note that lore can still be added for either character as long as it doesn't contradict anything previously established as canon
EDIT: this was match 3 not 2, sorry

Oh God the scene where the knight removes her helmet and instead of Jacob, it's Radiance... Lord of the Rings vibes but you know, with added terror (and well knowing that Jacob probably didn't make it to Redlyn)
Yeah, even though I'm not that attached to Jacob (I know I know, sorry!) that scene really got me

Gosh, it was so sad when the crew had to go back to Ruskan's woodworking shop after his death, and the description of all things he'd made, especially that big statue of Jacob in his knight armour that Ruskan never got a chance to finish (he had just wanted to honour his oldest friend)
In the last ask I went on a whole huge rant about the unfinished statue being a metaphor for life cut short, but what I forgot there that this ask made me remember, is that it foreshadows Jacob's death as well, given that the unfinished statue is of him

It's so annoying that Jacob is so underrated. He was literally a hero, he sacrificed himself for Rose, why would the fandom forget about that? I know there are characters with more scenes than him, but he was still very great. He had everything: A mysterious personality, maturity, bravery, ✨scars✨, and he was a freaking knight. Come on guys! He deserves better!
Unfortunately he's not really my type when it comes to favorite characters, but for you anon I hope that we find more people who do appreciate his character type!

(ooc) I really want to draw Jacob because I am his creator (call me Jacob anon 😂), but I don't know how long it'll take, so I'll just describe him: For me, he has brown straight hair, but messy, with some hair in his forehead because of that, his skin is tan, he's very skinny so you can notice the bones in his cheeks (but he eats, he's just very skinny), has a scar in his right cheek, a normal grey knight armor, brown eyes and expression lines in his forehead. Always serious, and very responsable. He's probably in his late 30s, let's make 30-40 his age range. Of course that's just how I see him in my head, I hope my details won't ruin anything, is just that I really like how he looks, he's very epic. Have a nice day, this is my favourite tournament!
Reblogging this to give other people some ideas if they maybe wanna draw Jacob too!
*pauses and blinks*
I must be tired because I said reblogging. This is an ask. lol

Will Jacob be here? I know he died but I love him so much.
Well, he's only got a few submissions so far, but who knows, maybe if people remember him they'll wanna submit him!

One thing I love so much about ARoIiS is the different religious and spiritual beliefs of the characters and how it influences how they deal with death, their vision of good and evil, their superstitions and hopes.
How Etienne has internalized the family belief that she was evil because a white dove did circles around her craddle.
How Radiance makes Isabeth believe everything she asks her to do is for the greater good.
Why Jacob claims Rose is evil because of her hair (while the brilliance of AROIiS is showing that everything isn't black and white and that you can overcome the prejudices surrounding you instead of letting them decide who you are)
Etc.
[out of character]
I'm torn here because I do love it when fantasy belief systems are unique and different from real life belief systems, But, I feel like it's been established that most people outside of the main characters seem to Trust Radiance as an important figure and she's, of course, one of the main light side characters, soooo.
(If "Yes" wins, that just means we have to come up with a reason for why the negative association with Light doesn't seem to affect Radiance's public image)
