All right, according to the tie results and round 3 results, we've reached the finale

Daisy lore established so far: It uses it/its pronouns, and is in the 16-20 age range. It's an automaton and is canonically like 10 feet tall, and is in a relationship with Cian, Kivan's older brother.

Fennel lore established so far: Belladonna's half-brother, both of them being children of Radiance's right hand man and being essentially adopted by Radiance after his death. Fennel's strength comes from the fact that he never gave up on being good and kind, even though it only brought more trouble and tragedy upon him. He helps save Lily when they get captured by Radiance, he's important to Lux's switching sides, and of course he means a lot to Belladonna. Lastly, though somewhat more of a fun fact compared to everything else, he keeps rats as pets.

Zephyr lore established so far: Despite having a prominent role in at least one book, everyone seems to have a habit of forgetting him. One of the adult characters of the cast, he was originally on Radiance's side but not out of malice; once he realizes what she's really up to, he stands up to her and switches sides.

One of the adult characters of the cast, he was originally on Radiance's side but not out of malice; once he realizes what she's really up to, he stands up to her and switches sides.

Jacob lore established so far: A brave knight sort of character who ends up dying at some point in the series, sacrificing himself for Rose in some way. It's implied that Radiance is the one who killed him. He had a close relationship with Ruskan, and some people ship them together though it's not directly canon.

i always find that zephyr is super underrated! i think its because a lot of the time people don't have much interest in the beast-folk characters? but i always found the design concept to be neat!!

here's something of what i always expected them to look like in the book:

Zephyr's not that popular but he's one of my favorites. Currant teaching him how to read and write secretly when he finds out his new ally can't is so moving. And Zeph having such a hard time with it makes me thing he may have a learning disability -maybe dyslexia.

Or dyspraxia, since it's said his hands don't want to cooperate when he does simple tasks sometimes, says he's not one for manual work and he complains to Currant that writing "hurts"

I love the relationship of these two

And I love how it's just another well-done example of how even though the characters on the light side sometimes have similar motives, no two are executed in the same way; after all, both Lux and Zephyr believed that Radiance was "good" and only realized she wasn't afterwards, but Lux is a scared kid and Zephyr is an adult who tried to stand up to her when he realized she was wrong

And also oooogh Belladonna taking him to Rose and the others..... she knows she can trust them with him, even if she's not ready to turn away from the light herself.....

Is it canon that Zephyr comes from a large family and is used to be overlooked or was it just such a popular fanon headcannon that it feels that way ? I haven't read the books since forever and don't know where I've left them (my bet's on the cardboard boxes upstairs but I don't want to browse througv them now

AWAH this is so awesome!!! These books were my LIFE growing up and I'm so glad that the fandom is reviving itself!! I'm also really excited for the reboot, from what I've heard it's gonna be awesome. This poll tournament is probably my favorite right now so thank you for this. (Also zephyrsweep by far the least appreciated non-side character in existence)
