meet menthol jam, my #notsoberry founder!

menthol jam is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns and is a lesbian. as my founder and one of my first legacy sims in.... literal years, menthol had the honor of going from strictly basegame to cc galore as i began to download cc.

aspiration: chief of mischief (completed) career: scientist (maxed) traits: vegetarian, jealous, materialistic (original, challenge traits); romantic, active, cheerful (bonus traits that developed through gameplay). life styles: people person number of alien abductions: 2-4 (if i remember correctly lol but they got scared of the dark bc of it regardless & never got pregnant cause i forgot to add that for afab sims lol) other tidbits: menthol retired quite late in their life and enjoyed grilling a lot on their free time. in my lore menthol jam comes from a latine background especifically ecuadorian. i seldom make family for my family but yeah! a lil latine bb. (just like me fr)

i always thought that mint gen would be super mischievous, but menthol was quite wholesome? they definitely developed a very jokester home with their kids and friends! they had a big group of coworkers who gathered like every other weekend and one of those coworkers ended up being the godparent of their kids (npc: eric lewis). i think their very silly nature and dynamic with nadia helped rose gen not feel as stuck up. rose gen ended up loving mischief because of their parents.

nadia pham was made by me and i truly thought she would be either a game developer or programer whoe met menthol since some times their jobs or fields of interests overlap! they did meet and bonded over geeky thing, but as sims 4 lore goes, menthol encouraged nadia to chase her dream job and after moving in i discovered that her dream was to be an athlete... rip. nadia is a trans woman who uses she/her pronouns and is bisexual!

shoutout to simmer: ??? who made the couple i used to make my rose gen's partners! i can't find their ea username or the household name but i got this (i think basegame) couple their surnames being morris-perales and i had them adopt and have like so many kids. it was a full household. two of their kids became my rose gen's soulmates (one for each kid lol)! very fun! so the last two screenshots include those sims as elders with my founders! p.s. i will do my utter best to include the username of the creators i use sims from! sorry i wasn't planning on blogging when i started this. sad

It's day 2, so everyone is doing their own thing while they wait for the group date out wherever I decide to have it. Tower of Treats Display Shelf (Now with more slots)

The Tower of Treats Display Shelf has always been my absolute favorite for showing off all my Sims delicious preserves, conserves, and other homemade goodies in my cafés and farm-style businesses. But you know what wasn’t my favorite? The tragically tiny number of slots EA gave it.

I didn’t realize just how much this injustice bothered me until my daughter and I started playtesting a legacy challenge we’re crafting together. Our poor Sim was out here, trying to live his best entrepreneurial life, ready to sell his handcrafted goodies… and this sad little shelf was like, “Sorry, you can place approximately three jars and a dream.”

Unacceptable.

So, I marched into Sims 4 Studio, waved my magic modding wand, and boom—now it has 30 slots! That’s right, thirty. You can pile on all the jam, honey, and farm-fresh delights your heart desires. It’s fully tested, fully functional, and finally ready to live up to its name as the true Tower of Treats!

So when she tried writing a love song at the request of Terrell for Neve, she just couldn't come up with anything. She tried for days, until Rohan noticed her motivation for music falling through.

Rohan: First and foremost, it's about having fun. Addison: I can't even write the most basic type of song known to man.

Rohan: Your first mistake is thinking it's basic. Come, let's pour out some frustration with music.

The pair jammed the place up together. Rohan hoped Addison would come to understand love a little better, but the way things happened with her parents, her first love, and all the little dates that didn't go well, he knew how much of a challenge that could prove to be for his bonus daughter.

The Mixed Legacy Challenge for The Sims 3

This is (gonna be) a 10 generation legacy challenge. I came up with this challenge simply because I could not decide what legacy challenge I wanted to do so I did a mix of all my favourite ones. Including Not So Berry, Jam Legacy, Zodiac Legacy & All In One Lepacy! So all credit goes to the creators! ପ(๑•ᴗ•๑)ଓ

Rules: ☆ Finish the rules of every generation, but there are different options for some generations so you can do whatever fits your gameplay preference more!

☆ There is a color for every generation if you want berry sims etc!

☆ There is a family trait that you choose that every generation heir will have. If you can't have a trait because of your family trait you just swap out that one for one similiar!

☆ Most importantly do what you want to have fun!

Headcannon Culinary Exchange Alastor x Hazbin (+ Vox)

Alastor is an amazing cook, and while he is very reluctant to use certain technology in public, he is not at all reluctant to improve his culinary skills and recipes. (His mother's original recipes are sacred, but he can make variations and does not consider it a betrayal. His mother loved to cook, improve and learn new recipes. He continues that legacy)

So, sometimes he makes typical dishes from the other residents' time as a challenge (...and maybe as a token of appreciation).

Husk has a colorful background in dishes that Al likes to explore. Which makes sense, In my opinion this man has traveled a lot and sometimes he had to eat strange or unusual things either out of curiosity or a challenge.

Niffy loves jelly. Alastor regularly makes mosaic jelly for her, which she loves, with whatever flavours she wants.( It is a privilege for her.)

For Angel, Italian food is his favorite and he knows it very well, and Alastor's lasagna is the best, he must admit although it seems like a betrayal of the memory of his mother's lasagna.

Sir Pentious He loves tea time, he loves tea and while I think Alastor drinks more coffee than tea, he knows how to make the perfect cup of tea because his mom loved tea. Here to sweeten the tea is the battle, Sugar, honey, syrup or jam, it all depends on the tea in question, whether it has lemon, milk or just tea. I think depending on the combination and the occasion if the sensitivities of the two clashed it could result in a quick little battle, tea was serious business.

Vaggie, in my opinion, initially didn't have much of an opinion on food or she just ate whatever Charlie wanted. It's only after more time, I think around the time of Hazbin Hotel that she is faced with expressing a preference, one of her own. I like to think that she discovers that she has a weakness for spicy food. She is still discovering herself even now.

Charlie she loves sweets, but more for the creams, fillings and fluffy cakes. She loves the frappuccino and the one that Alastor makes is sweet enough for her without being just sugar and nothing else, yes If she wants more sugar there is dessert, Charlie, your drink will be more sugar if you add more to it.She likes pizza, and every time Alastor makes one, she is right behind him eagerly for it.

Lucifer was initially reluctant to eat something prepared by Alastor, but oh well... an apple pie later (prepared with Charlie in mind, since she likes it and this is a taste shared by them) and Lucifer is seriously considering marriage. Don't tell Alastor.

In the case of Vox, while they were friends (and perhaps on the verge of being something more) it was common for Alastor to prepare for them not only his mother's recipes but also Vox's favorites from his time alive. He took the time to learn and improve the meatloaf recipe for Vox. It was common that between glasses of whiskey and rum, they enjoyed seafood, bistec Salisbury or a new recipe.

Jude and Cardan leave their daughter Liora with her Aunt Vi and Heather in the mortal world for one day. It was supposed to be relaxing. Instead, there are squirrels in crowns, cursed coffee machines, and one very traumatized Target manager.

Vi, lounging on a picnic blanket in her backyard, waved lazily. “We’ve got this. I’ve raised my sisters. I’ve wrangled Jude after a wine tasting when she was younger. What’s one tiny fae slash mortal kid for a day?”

“She’s not just a kid,” Heather whispered. “She’s Jude and Cardan’s kid.”

Across the lawn, seven-year-old Liora Greenbriar—crown of braided flowers askew, mossy cape fluttering, and eyes glinting gold with inherited menace—held up a worm like it was an offering to the gods.

“I shall name him Earl.”

Cardan, standing with Jude on the patio, clapped. “My legacy is secure.”

Jude squinted. “Just don’t let her enchant anyone, bring back a feral animal, or claim territory.”

Vi raised an eyebrow. “That happened once.”

Heather, very quietly: “It was three times.”

Liora marched up, placed the worm gently on Heather’s shoulder, and declared, “You are now blessed by the Earth and its wrigglers.”

Heather screamed.

Vi thought things were going okay until Liora asked why all the neighborhood houses looked the same.

“I shall liberate them,” she said.

Hour Three:

The neighbor’s kid, a ten-year-old named Brandon with a Nerf arsenal and unchecked confidence, challenged Liora to a “laser tag war.”

Five minutes later, Brandon’s Nerf gun was mysteriously jammed with glitter and his shoelaces had tied themselves into knots.

“I didn’t technically enchant him,” Liora said.

Vi, impressed, whispered to Heather, “That was Roach-level sabotage.”

Heather whispered back, “We need holy water.”

Hour Four:

They took her to Target to burn off some energy.

Huge mistake.

Liora climbed onto the cart like it was a battle chariot, grabbed a fairy wand from the toy aisle, and declared herself Queen of Aisle Seven.

By the time Vi returned from grabbing oat milk, Heather was being dragged toward the checkout by security while Liora loudly proclaimed, “LET MY SUBJECT GO, YOU BEIGE-BADGED PEASANTS!”

They were gently escorted out.

Vi was banned. From Target.

Heather tried to make cookies. Liora insisted on adding “glamour sprinkles.” The oven started glowing.

Heather: “I’m going to lie down. Forever.”

Jude and Cardan finally returned, looking entirely too relaxed.

“How was it?” Jude asked.

Heather emerged from behind a couch cushion. “She tried to unionize the neighborhood cats.”

Cardan looked at his daughter, who was seated on the kitchen table surrounded by cats and sticky notes.

Liora raised a goblet of chocolate milk. “We’ve formed a collective. All naps are now sacred.”

Cardan beamed. “My sweet little revolutionary.”

Jude pinched the bridge of her nose. “We were gone for one day.”

Heather handed Jude a cursed cookie shaped like a flaming sword. “Take your child. And your royal agenda.”

Vi waved. “Come back anytime! I’m teaching her how to throw knives next time.”

Heather groaned. “That’s not a joke, is it?”

“It’s never a joke,” Jude and Vi said in perfect sync.

My Sims Kingdom Inspired Legacy Challenge

Recently, with the re-release of the My Sims games, I've began feeling nostalgic about the series. I played My Sims Kingdom a LOT as a kid and I love how the main Sim's games constantly make references to the My Sim's characters/games. Then, while i was deliberating on how to make the sims 3 more interesting, I decided to mix two of my most beloved games, My Sims Kingdom and The Sims 3, to create a legacy challenge!

I took some inspiration from the Store World Legacy by florydaax with this version of the legacy challenge as it encourages your sims family to move to a new town every generation to simulate the wandolier visiting different islands.

Each Generation is named after an island from My Sims Kingdom and is accompanied by my suggested world for your sim to live in.

Generation One: Capitol Island (Sunset Valley or A Small Empty Island)

Wow, you can't believe this is happening! You won King Rolands contest and are dubbed a royal wandolier! Now, with a magic scepter in hand, you are tasked with helping sims around the world. Are you up for the challenge?

Traits: Brave, Friendly, Sailor

Lifetime Wish: Seasoned Traveler, Great Explorer (Or any lifetime wish that aligns with your career path)

Careers: Any Public Service Career or Explorer*

Rules:

Make this sim a witch (You can ignore this one if you don't own supernatural/don't want to play with supernatuals)

Reach the top of your Career

Befriend 30 sims

Complete 10 opportunities (Another sim must be giving you the opportunity for it to count)

Reach level 10 of 2 different skills of your choosing

I'm planning on doing an autumn/winter only playthrough but what should I do after that?

I already decided the Charm's will be like a mega family challenge where I just do a bunch of challenges but the question is what order should I do them?

I still have my aestheticore challenge. I know I want to do a jam legacy. What else should I do??
