'THE RED RANGER'

Jason searched the school for you while the other Rangers headed to face off against Rita's latest monster. You were heading down the stairs when he found you and you knew instantly from his expression of regret that another date was about to be cancelled. That made it four in a row.

You listened as he claimed to have another emergency, and promising to make it up to you, and as you watched the man you love lie, you felt your anger reach a boiling point and your heart shatter.

"Don't bother." You walked by him and Jason called out to you as you headed down the hallway, sighing when you ignored him. Alpha warned him that the others were struggling without him and he knew he had to choose, and in that split second he chose his friends, hoping he hadn't ruined his chances with you.

Little did he know that you had plans of your own. You followed him out of school to the park where the other Rangers were fighting. Your eyes widened when you saw him help the four Rangers defeat the Putties. You clutched your camera tightly, snapping pictures of the Rangers as they fought to defeat the Putties.

You had supported him during competitions so you knew when his mind was distracted and when two Putties advanced behind him, you called out to him, "Jason, look out!"

He turned, finding you standing with your camera. He took down the Putties and looked at where you stood frozen, "Run, Y/N! Run!"

You hesitated as you watched him take down another Putty and swallowed thickly when he promised to explain later, taking out his morpher. You knew from the look in his eyes that you would only serve as a distraction and the last thing you wanted was for him to get hurt. So you left, looking over your shoulder just in time to catch him morphing into the Red Ranger. You stumbled but kept on running. You had no destination in mind, however, when you realized it was best to stay away from your house, you headed to Ernie's and when he saw how frazzled you were, he brought you a shake on the house.

Almost an hour later Jason entered with his friends and you knew from their expression that they knew, you found out about their secret. Jason approached you, a tentative smile on his lips as he said, "I can explain everything, if you want me too."

You left Ernie's and walked around Angel Grove, having no particular destination in mind as he told you the story about how he and his four friends became Power Rangers and the secret they vowed to keep to Zordon. You listened intently, not asking questions and allowing him to speak freely.

You stopped walking when he took your hands, assuring you that from this moment forth he would always confide in you, never lie about 'emergencies' and you saw the fear in his eyes - his belief that you would reject him and end your relationship.

You closed your eyes, squeezing his hands as you met his gaze, "Just promise me one thing."

"Anything." He agreed instantly.

"Always come back to me."

Jason smiled, a weight lifted from his shoulders, his hands rising to your cheek, "I promise. I love you. And I will never lie to you again. From here on out, complete transparency."

You smiled softly, "I love you too."

He leaned in to kiss you passionately, wrapping his arms around your as he deepened the kiss, and you placed your hands on his cheeks, smiling against his lips.

That day you made an oath to always be truthful, honest, and always stand by one another no matter what the future had in store. Your love will always persevere.

So this is something that’s bothered me for years but I never said anything. I can’t stand people who write fanfiction with an original character as the main character but tag as x reader. Like giving your character a name AND physical description is not a reader insert story. I understand the gender specific/neutral tags or intending your character to be a specific race or size but there does come a point where isn’t no longer a reader insert and it’s just a regular OC.

I wanna believe that a lot of people don’t understand the tag but as fanfiction writers I know that’s not the case. A lot of people do it to get more views for their story which is so dumb to me. Either write an actual reader insert or add the proper tags. It’s not that fucking hard.

Also I purposefully tagged reader insert tags I’m into to see if others have this same issue and what they think. I can’t be the only one annoyed but I’m cool either way.

Catholic scolding, tells you adultery is a sin, you end up leaving the prank feeling enlightened somehow.

A/n: Wrote while on my period and wanted some comfort, then I remembered that I can write and made this. Not proofread, might edit later, might not, who knows ♪⁠～⁠(⁠´⁠ε⁠｀⁠ ⁠). Anyways, enjoy⁠♡

You lay on your side within the warm safety of your nest on your bed, accompanied by your too big of a dog cuddled into your stomach called Lillie. She had joined you after hearing you whimpering from your cramps and after ensuring her you were in fact not injured, she cuddled right up against your lower stomach where it hurt the most. Because of this though, she ended up taking your heater of a boyfriend's side of the bed like she owned the spot. With a hand combing through her fur and the other holding up your phone, everything was peaceful even with your uterus deciding to curse you.

“Oh I see how it is,” that familiar gruff voice makes you smile as you turn your head to find your loveable boyfriend standing at the doorway looking playfully offended. “I leave for only an hour and I come back to have my spot stolen,” he huffs out as he sets a grocery bag down and strides to our bed.

“You snooze, you lose?” You slightly giggle out as you feel the thump of Lillie's tail wagging on the sheets. Lillie only nuzzles further into you as you laugh lightly at the cute sight. Your boyfriend mutters something along the lines of “you're lucky you're cute” before he gives you a small peck to your cheek and forces his way into your little nest.

“Did you generate more blankets while I was away? Cause there's definitely more in here than when I left,” he teases as he embraces you and adjusts you all. Lillie moved to lay more on top of you as you lay on your back, her head still on your stomach and providing warmth for your aching muscles.

“Not my fault if Lillie added some more,” you coo as you give your pup some head scratches while all three of you get comfortable again. You wince as a cramp hits harder than before and you're tempted to curl into yourself if it weren't for Lillie and your boyfriend helping you.

“I got ya princess, ‘m right here,” he purrs into your ear as he massages your pelvic region and places little butterfly kisses all along your face. You feel a small lick to your hand from Lillie and you smile softly at the boundless love surrounding you like a heavy blanket. You sink further into your little nest and lay happily with your dog and boyfriend as they comfort you through the pain. You get so comfortable that you doze off after a while, listening to the gentle sound of your boyfriend's heartbeat and your pup’s soft snoring while a movie plays in the background. Nothing could be better than this…except minus the period pain.

Tbh I wanna agree with you (and in an ideal world maybe I would) but… it’s brutal out here for writers. They already don’t get constructive feedback or reblogs, and get treated like shit by entitled readers who think they owe them free stories.

It honestly doesn’t take it out of any of us to just scroll past a story we don’t like—it certainly doesn’t for me. But for a writer, even one interested eye would make their day.

It’s valid to be upset about these things but we gotta be real—the fanfiction scene sort of sucks and it’s only getting worse. These people pour their hearts out and churn out quality content for free. The algorithm works against them. Their own audience and fandom works against them. A lot of people give up on writing or get depressed when work they spent weeks on barely gets a comment. Or gets a slew of likes.

The least we can do is acknowledge the hustle. It’s not like it’s harming anyone to see an OC story on their timeline. Just because some writers don’t care about engagement doesn’t mean the vast majority don’t as well. They care a lot. This is just a small thing people can tolerate so a writer can actually get their story out there to the masses. It isn’t “views”. It’s someone wanting to get their art acknowledged. I’m sure many writers on here relate to that.

As a writer, I’m want to agree with you. I see the same thing with my writings. But the same way readers aren’t entitled to the stories, writers aren’t entitled to responses. I understand how frustrating it is when things like that happen. That doesn’t give anyone the right to force their unrelated story on me just so I know they wrote it. That’s not something I’m looking for or want to see.

The reason tags exist is to make it easier for people to find what it is they are looking for. Some of these writers are also throwing tags on for content and fandoms the story isn’t even about. I see it so much and it honestly makes me respect the writer even less. As someone who suffers from depression and anxiety, sometimes that recognition is what makes my day, but for me it’s just about expressing myself through my writing. If people don’t like it or don’t want to respond or share, that’s perfectly fine. It’s better than seeing comments about how I messed this or that up because I put on the wrong tags so people have a reason to come at me.

The same thing happens with published authors who do it and make money. Their content isn’t always well received by their community either. It still gives no one the right to mislead an audience.

I’m not in any way saying this to be mean or come after anyone specifically. I’m just voicing my own frustration with how people do things on here. It’s frustrating, it’s not fair and it genuinely sucks but respect for things like this goes a long way. At least for me.

I feel silly posting this but I need to express my feelings I don’t care. I wanna give him head, that sounds so bad considering he’s nearly 2 decades older than me but um who really cares?

I watched Scott pilgrim last night and when I realised it was Jason playing that stupid little emo Gideon I DIED. My last 2 hours have been spent watching edits of Jason, I printed out photos of him and stuck them on my wall, I watched 1 hours worth of interviews just for him. And in all honesty..the reason I saw the new hunger games was because he was in it.. don’t tell anybody.

Also his hands are really hot. Usually hair on men’s hands make me feel gross, but Jason? I want them is inside me. WOAH WHO SAID THAT??!
