not sure I believe that Jason was the cause of Olivia's bad DWD press. yes it was everywhere, but it really felt like it was her own doing/behavior that just kept making things worse and not some manipulation by Jason's pr team?! thoughts?

Well, I think Olivia tanked her own career. But it was very, very obvious that Jason had some powerful PR behind him (now we know who) because he was the only one who came out smelling like roses with his entire image rehabilitated and a bunch of Emmys on his resume. He definitely played dirty with Olivia, but she wasn't innocent either. It at least appeared that she blindsided him with her "relationship" with Harry. According to the Holivia timeline, he was still referring to her as his "partner" when she was supposedly getting together with another man. Very soon afterward, they made their relationship public at that idiotic wedding. That would have been really embarrassing for Jason. So... god knows what Jason and Olivia's relationship was like, And he's probably as gross as she is, but they have two young children and it's absolutely gross they'd subject those kids to this.

Feeling so normal about the thought of ted linking roy and jamie together from the start… roy was falling behind as a leader for the team, but also with his own love of football as his playing career came to and end. And ted saw that jamie needed a strong role model. We learn that jamie has always worshipped roy. And ted instructs roy to become a better leader, SPECIFICALLY by trying to lead jamie to be a better person. The end of Roy’s career as a player is linked, intrinsically, to the rise of Jamie’s career and therefore the start of Roy’s next chapter. Roy can only really become a coach through the work he does with jamie, which also allows him to open up in other areas of his life and become a better man. Jamie only becomes a better person because of what roy does when they’re still teammates, then with roy as a coach once roy sees Jamie’s weakest moment, and then his growth as a player follows obviously facilitated by Roy. They are cosmically perfectly intrinsically linked. I cannot believe this stupid show set up the most perfect star crossed enemies to begrudging coach/player to friends to lovers slow burn and fucked the landing.

I know people will say it’s just a show or whatever but oh my god Ted Lasso coming back for Season 4 is like everyone getting to breathe for a minute. We’ve needed you. It’s testament to Jason Sudekis, the writers + the whole team that my first thought was “we’re going to be OK”
