Okay this will hopefully be my last rant post so bear with me.

I kinda hate how writers are so scared to "pull a LOST" and are so eager to say in interviews that they've "studied LOST and its mistakes" and that they assure people that their show won't be like LOST.

What about the good things LOST has? Like, it didn't become a beloved show just because of the mysteries, you know.

What about the (personally) never seen before (and since) foil-dynamic between John and Jack?

What about the complexities and layeres of a character like Juliet (just to name one)?

What about the beauty of a villain like Ben Linus? Yeah, I said beauty because he was beautifully written and acted and LOST gave us one of the best TV villains, period.

What about the tortured love between Sun and Jin? It wasn't always easy to watch but we felt their love and pain altogether.

What about Michael and his need/want to protect his son at the cost of committing terrible things?

What about the sheer greatness of Mr Eko's last words?

I could go on but I think I made myself clear.

Please don't use LOST as a negative comparison against which you'll do better. Because if you do, you have to do better in all senses.

And I just don't know if many characters that we see on our screens today could compare to the depth of LOST characters.

The serialization that features the appeal of up and coming breakout actors. In this issue, we have Motojima Junsei-san, who's currently playing the role of Minase Jin, a cool honor student in the drama "Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu."

-What I learned on the set of Kamen Rider is without a doubt still relevant now-

This show depicts how two polar opposites - Minase, an honor student played by me, and Hirukawa (played by Kamimura Kenshin), The disruptive class troublemaker - grow closer as they learn about each other's sides that they don't show at school. When I read the script, it was filled with many "heart pounding" scenes that I liked in the original work, so I eagerly wanted to see this on film as soon as possible. Minase has a desire to "be a good boy" in front of his mother, but I think that's a feeling that everyone has. I also tend to act like my ideal self in front of other people, so that's something I could relate to. However, unlike Minase, who doesn't show his emotions that much, I'm cheerful, and my friends will often tell me that I'm "too loud" or "too excited" (laugh). In high school, I played guitar in the light music club, and after school, I'd go to karaoke and game centers with my friends and had a fun time every day. When I play the role of Minase, I become nostalgic when remembering the small things that I used to do, such as how I "used to wear my uniform with the first button undone back then."

This is my first lead role since Kamen Rider Gotchard last year. What I learned on the set of Kamen Rider is without a doubt still relevant now when I approach this set. Director Tasaki told me, "A car (you) will only run by pouring the gasoline of emotion into it," and of course, I was also taught about techniques such as how to not mess up my hair or dirty my costume in between takes. It's basic knowledge and awareness that can't be taught anywhere else, and it's thanks to him that it helped me grow. In this production too, I'd like to greet everyone cheerfully, energetically, and clearly, listen carefully to the Director's instructions, and work together with the entire team to create a masterpiece.

In episode 4, there's a scene where Minase honestly tells Hirukawa about his weakness for the first time, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of chemistry will occur in their relationship going forward. The story, which has been told through Minase's monologues up to this point, will be told from Hirukawa's point of view starting from episode 5, so I hope that you'll also pay attention to that.

-I'll let you in on what I collect-

I value the letters that I've received from all of my fans. Even at the end of Kamen Rider Gotchard's Final Stage, I spent the entire time on the bullet train home reading letters. When I receive the words, "I feel energized from Junsei-kun," it makes me really feel like my thoughts and feelings have reached you, and it also gives me the energy for my own tomorrow!
