Another little detail I loved on this scene is that instead of answering who they are, Uraume simply states what they are doing there and patiently waits for their King to recognize them.

Like. The King of Curses could have simply killed them right there, but Uraume waits there beautifully and patiently kneeling on *one knee*, head down, and "I trust you to remember me even after 1000 years apart and another incarnation"...

And Sukuna happily recognizes it's them!

I mean- are you kidding me?!

Uraume's EXISTENCE right there made the King of Curse genuinely pleased!

JJK S02 E15 Impressions

Bit of a belated announcement, but "Specialz" did grow on me after the third or fourth listen! Second-favorite JJK track now, after "Vivid Vice."

Forget Megumi vs Toji, the RABBITS FIGHTING TOJI. This is the most hilarious and weirdly adorable shit I've seen in ages. Their little bunny expressions. God.

Cook it first, you animal:

Jokes aside, the fight was cool, and I really liked how the end was animated. Toji's expression, the flashback sequence, Megumi's reactions--beautifully done. The overall tone is more eerie than tender, which suits the scene and mood very well.

Haruta barely exists in my JJK awareness, but lord, whenever he does pop up, I'm filled with unbridled rage.

Holy fuck, Sukuna's entrance. I keep saying Sukuna's appearance in Shibuya (from the awakening in the station to Yuuji witnessing the carnage) was the last time I found Sukuna both menacing and compelling--cool, even--and the anime's made it even better. That laugh! Reminds me of his first appearance--the sheer level of bugfuck crazy is impressive.

He'll never look this good inside Megumi (heh):

The fight with Jogo!!!! The sheer scale of the devastation. The animation styles and sequences. I could eat this shit with my mouth.

And thank you, Sukuna's VA, for reminding me why I rank him as one of the sluttiest characters in JJK (alongside Gojou). That "play with you again and again until I tire" part sounds...yeah. The dialogue? Typical villain shit. The delivery? He might as well have his dick out. Showing hole even.

The way Sukuna's flames are animated is my new sexuality.

I remain fascinated by Sukuna's assumption that even modern sorcerers would know the extent of his CT. The way Yorozu talked to him indicates she did, so it probably was common knowledge when Sukuna was alive and for a while after. Kenjaku's aware, I'm pretty sure, but I'm curious how much the protags know.

Speaking of Sukuna's VA's range, the final exchange with Jogo had an unexpected amount of emotional resonance. Nice!

I also slept on jjk when it came out but yesterday, I watched the choso vs yuji fight. The only thing I watched from s2 so far. Will I finally watch the whole thing? Maybe, maybe not. It's surprising how I seem to have no energy for jjk of all anime. It's sad. But I felt a bit better when some of yall feel the same way. What's happened to us???

okay i watched the choso yuuji fight too and it was rly well done!! i dunno if anything has ‘happened to us’, i just think jjk is really getting into the meat of its plot and story and has unfortunately lost my interest and investment in the process!

season one took its time to set up the characters, their relationship dynamics with one another, and the foundation of the main story, which is why i think i enjoyed it a lot more than i’ve been enjoying season two. now that the characters have been established, s02 is (rightfully!) digging into the driving forces of the narrative. it’s doing a splendid job, i just don’t care for it, because i can’t find it in me to care about the curses at all—they bore me to bits >.<

JJK S02 E15 Impressions

This is technically from E14, but since they recapped it: Megumi sounds like he's getting railed when he gasps Nanami's name. You can almost hear the "It's too big."

"To Fushiguro-kun's feet" will never not be hilarious out of context.

Toji's domain break-in in the manga was the only time I felt he resembled Megumi (that upside-down shot), but in the anime, they look pretty different even in that scene.

Why does Dagon look like he's clutching his tiddies? Self-soothing? Fair.

I do love how Toji's insane physical capabilities have been translated to the visual medium.

The Jogo-Dagon scene hit a bit harder like this than in the manga. I don't much care about either of them, but narratively, that's an excellent scene all over, especially the carnage that follows.

I Am Not Thinking About Nanami. I Am Not.

Love how the girls feed Yuuji a finger, and he just...swallows it, even while unconscious. They don't even have to work for it.

And this ain't news, but Kenjaku, what the fuck did you put in the baby batter to make Yuuji fully resilient to Sukuna? Twenty fingers one by one, even with just a day in between, and he still wouldn't lose control. Ten fingers at once and it's still only temporary. Goddamn.

Yuuji's Jawline, Holy Shit:

See, Jogo had to put more work into making him swallow. There's a dirty joke in there somewhere.

How and why does Sukuna's healing involve sucking the blood back into the body? Was that a thing before?

I love Sukuna's initial awakening, but the shot after that slow approach makes him look twelve years old, which is hilarious. Look at this, what the fuck:
