Batman-Santa Claus: Silent Knight #4: I’m still grumpy they put Babs in the Bat suit for this given she contributed NOTHING. Had to laugh at Damian asking for his own Brother Eye, age 5. Jaime is the sweetest boy alive.

The Flash #3: I am so onboard with the weird eldritch stuff happening in this run. Even when it’s occasionally stuff that makes me go ‘I haven’t read enough Flash to get the context of this’.

Alan Scott: The Green Lantern #2: goddamn this is good. Just…ahhhhh. Really well told.

Today in improbable Skartaris science (it’s been a hot minute) a meteor fell right through the hole in the Earth at the North Pole into Skartaris.

Fragments of the meteor turned some Skartarian locals into Cobra ladies here. Travis gets tied up by them and spends three whole pages in bondage before the Cobra Queen cuts him out to try and romance (and kill) him.

He then fights the Cobra Queen (in snake form) for another two pages of good tentacle style bondage.

DC Legends: Deathstroke the Terminator

Slade Wilson first appeared in 1980 as a mercenary who'd been part of a government project that turned him into a super soldier. He has since been a major villain of the Teen Titans, a member of the Suicide Squad, an enemy of both Batman and the Green Arrow, and an overall very versatile character in the larger DC universe.

As a super soldier, Slade has enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and all the other standard aspects. He also has increased mental capacity, which he uses to enact complex stratagems to take down his enemies. As a trained soldier, he comes equipped with multiple weapons, most notably his iconic twin katanas.

In adaptation, Slade is a character you could use in a million different ways, and not just as a cameo in a couple post-credits scenes with an actor on standby for years with nothing real for him to do. In a Teen Titans series, Slade is an obvious overarching villain, but he could also show up wherever you need a member of Task Force X or an enforcer for Amanda Waller.

As far as casting, Joe Manganiello was actually a very solid casting, and I'd be fine giving him the chance to actually play the character properly. Outside of him, Timothy Olyphant or Josh Duhamel would be solid, and Chris Evans could work as a gag casting.

in josh hawley's book on manhood (im paraphrasing from kye) he talks about a crisis of manliness in that men don't know what their duty is and through secularization they are moving further away from a figure (god) who could tell them what to do and besides being kinky as fuck it makes me absolutely insane that he thinks this is a man problem when in fact it is an everyone problem its what fleabag is about but he doesn't see women as people so he'll never understand that phoebe waller bridge already explored this idea with infinitely more tact and nuance and thought. i just know that if he ever watched fleabag he would be so unable to see himself in the character of fleabag even though he is articulating the exact aimlessness that she is made to explore. because he thinks it's a man problem. and a lack of christian values problem. but it's an everyone problem nobody knows what the fuck they are doing. josh hawley grow up and kill yourself
