Irish singer-songwriter Joshua Burnside brings an ultra-emotional presence to his sound, filtered through an ambient folk lens that twists an acoustic pop sound into something deeper and more meaningful. Chamber folk production helps round out Burnside’s lush output, most recently collected on 2018 EP All Round the Light Said. Irish (“A Man of High Renown”) and Americana (“Northern Winds”) traditions weave more strongly into Burnside’s music on this latest effort, a rooted front that grounds his ambience with earthly intentions.
