• kai loves to call her his wife constantly or his empress

like a 10/10 supermodel tried hitting on kai once at some event so stood behind kai as they talked and when the model asked cinder how good the pastries that she was snacking on, cinder said “it’s delicious! you can have this cookie- wait, sorry , i forgot, you probably have a diet or something.” and freaking eats the cookie in front of the model

yes it’s super mean, she regrets it later, even kai calls her out, but yk jealous ppl make stupid decisions

For some reason I have an hc that the kaider kids would do modelling campaigns here and because I’d imagine the three being GORGEOUS, coming from Kai and Cinder of course. Additionally, their parents are both tall, and with kai’s sharp features, I bet tons of businesses would want their kids (when they’re more mature) on their covers, or some agencies would scout them. But it wouldn’t be like a job or regular thing, more like an occasional thing, especially if the organization is supporting a good cause. Mind you, Kai’s had his face on a cereal box as a teen, so I don’t think him or cinder would be too opposed to the idea of their Blackburn kids being the face of something. It’s an iconic power move for that company though

I think Cinder would be a little against it first, when they're still toddlers but she would agree when they're a bit older. She doesn't want them to work so young. But she trusts Kai when he says it's fine, and she agrees because her children seem excited to do it. And when she sees the pictures she melts, because her kids ARE very cute. They probably send her the official pictures the brand is going to use, plus some in which the children are laughing and playing and those are her (and Kai's) faves.

On the other hand, Kai has no problem with letting them. He's actually kind of excited. But only because he will be there for every single minute of it. He goes with them every time and makes sure they are okay and comfortable. And he gets to decide which outfits he likes better.

Oh, and at least for the first ones, Torin demands to go too. He is the one that accompanied Kai when he was younger, after all.

cinder: a reeeaaally good imposter. she hardly ever gets caught, always does clean kills, and wins almost every time. she stays quiet in the chat and only speaks up to throw them off her path

kai: good at being imposter and crew mate. he’s very watchful of other crew mates and notices things like the task bar not going up, them stopping before a sabotage goes off, and even whereabouts during a kill. he always catches the imposter, but if he’s the imposter, no one suspects him because he’s too good at convincing them he’s innocent

scarlet: immediately sus of everyone, doesn’t stay alone in a room with any crew mate, and goes off in the chat every single time. she’s a good but reckless imposter and hates the kill cool down. she stays clear of kai the whole time

wolf: hates being imposter. he would rather just do his little tasks and float around as a ghost, watching everyone do their thing. if he does get imposter, he normally just waits it out and let’s the other one do all the killing. he never kills scarlet

cress: can’t stop herself from hacking the game and finding out who the imposters are. she’ll normally keep quiet about it and stay away from them so she doesn’t ruin it for everyone. she’s a good imposter even tho she would rather not kill her friends, she prefers doing tasks

thorne: overly cocky and thinks every little thing is sus. he thinks being a crew mate is boring and he would rather cause havoc as an imposter. he normally gets caught and voted out bc he’s reckless and doesn’t check his surroundings before killing

winter: she loves being a ghost and watching all her friends play. she thinks the tasks are fun, and she doesn’t really like being imposter but she’s still really good at it. will sometimes give up in the chat and say “AAHHH I CANT TAKE IT IM IMPOSTER”

jacin: loves being imposter. he kills everyone skillfully and doesn’t talk in the chat, except to insult thorne. he doesn’t run around with the other imposter and he sabotages a lot. he only kills winter because he knows she loves being a ghost

Cinder doesn’t (she’s a cyborg u dummies) and loves to ‘hold’ them for him

Kai is in the middle of a important meeting, and has to get someone to find Cinder bc she stole his glasses. 

And cinder, being cinder, turns off the tracker

So eventually Kai has to excuse himself and find her himself

He isn’t about to ignore her privacy and get a bunch of guards to rush in to wherever she is

Thats unfair on Cinder who is also doing important things.

More often then not, he just finds them next to her oils on her vanity

Oh did I not mention? 

When Cinder offically moved into the palace, the mechanics bought her special Oils for National Cyborg Day 

(which is the day after Cinder’s birthday, [the first annual national cyborg day was the day after her first birthday as lunar queen)]

Some cyborgs made this company “Oils by the Cys” which specializes in ‘skin’ oils for cyborgs

It’s specially made for different metals and types of of prosthetics

There are some to buff and keep the cyborg parts shiny

Others to keep the joints lubricated and to keep from sticking

Other’s for the area the skin and prosthetics overlap to keep them from chafing and getting irritated

The mechanics (who are either grisly old cyborgs, or the teen (also mostly cyborg) kids of the lower staff who wanted to learn mechanics) were ecstatic to get a cyborg empress

They were usually treated horribly since they were mostly cyborgs

But now the empress herself would come by with suggestions and just to talk

She even taught some of the cyborg teens how to properly treat your parts usable when they are old and keep the new scar tissue clean

(she obviously bought the ones new ones who needed them)

This fic is based of this post. Basically, Cinder runs into a young cyborg girl who has run away from a home she is unwanted from and decides she wants to help her. Really this fic is mostly exposition to get a feel of what’s going on. If people like this I might continue with the idea and write a part 2. This takes place an indeterminate amount of time after Stars Above.

The air in New Beijing was thick with humidity causing the hairs on the back of Cinders neck to stick to her as she walked through the market. Every once in a while she would come back just to check on the people or maybe it was to reminisce about the person she had been. Her heart always ached as her eyes wandered to her old booth. The grease covered booth it once had been was torn down and turned into a jewelry stand run by an old woman Cinder had grown to become fond of. So much had changed and Cinder was grateful for it but she couldn’t keep herself from wondering where she might have been if no one had found out she was Princess Selene.

Sweat trickled down her skin as she skimmed the other booths feigning interest in what they were selling. Truthfully she came to the market to get away from the chaos of the palace for a while, to have a little bit of time just for herself. The meetings and politics and alliances and planning became a bit overwhelming after a while, especially as she was used to working on her own. She pulled a Kai and wore a sweatshirt (that she may or may not have stolen from him) with the hood up to cover her hair and her features as well as gloves to hide her very recognizable metal hand. 

Cinder herself was all too recognizable these days. The media followed her every move like a hawk and she couldn’t go anywhere without being bombarded with unwanted attention. But with Kai’s unbeatable disguise hiding her appearance, she was safe from the crowds. She knew Torin would throw a fit when she returned as she was not supposed to go in public without security accompanying her but she could more than handle herself. If she could successfully overthrow an oppressive government and start a revolution on the moon, what was one day out on the town by herself going to do? 

Anyways, Kai snuck out all the time, it was how they met after all. The memory of him standing outside her booth with his black hair brushed over his eyes and his hands in his pockets brought a smile to her face. Kai always offered to come with her when she went out but she needed time to herself to think. He was, as always, entirely understanding. Cinder loved him so much that sometimes it was hard to believe he was real and even harder to believe that he returned the feeling. 

Her mind was distracted as she thought of her husband when someone bumped into her, nearly falling over themselves when Cinder caught them by the shoulders with both of her hands and steadied them. She found herself staring at a young girl about the age of fourteen.

The girl was tall for her age and so skinny her bones looked as if they would snap in half at the slightest amount of pressure. Her black hair was greasy like it had been a while since she had the chance to clean it and dirt caked her fingernails. Something shiny made Cinder turn her attention to the girl's face. She had metal plating covering her cheek along her jaw that stood out greatly against the girls tanned skin. She was a cyborg. When she saw Cinder staring at her she turned her head to the side trying to hide the metal parts of her face. Cinders' heart went out for her, she remembered a time when she would have responded the same way. Even now when she went to different meetings and dinners with Kai to discuss politics, she fought the urge to cover her hand in the presence of strangers.

“Sorry,” the girl whispered under her breath.

“It’s all right,” Cinder tried for her gentlest smile, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” The girl's eyes were darting in every direction as if she was desperate to get away and was planning her escape. 

Cinder felt a pang of guilt, the last thing she wanted was to scare the girl but she couldn’t help from asking,“Where are your parents?”

“Home, we’re just down the street.” Cinder didn’t entirely believe her but didn’t know what she could do about it, especially as the girl was slowly inching herself out of Cinder's grip. “I’m on my way there now actually.”

Cinder dropped her hands from the girl’s shoulders, “Okay,” she stared at the girl for a second too long, she didn’t want to just let her go off by herself. But the girl obviously wanted to leave and she feared she was making her more upset by not letting her go, “It was nice meeting you.” 

The girl nodded slightly and walked off briskly in the opposite direction, her sleek long black hair swaying slightly as she went. She wondered where the girl would go now. She seemed too young to be on her own but maybe Cinder was just assuming things that weren’t true. She did look awfully thin though and the thought of it made Cinder guilty for not offering to buy her food.

A voice behind her interrupted her thoughts, making her jump slightly, “Ah, so you’ve met Stella.”

The voice belonged to Ms. Chen, she must have wandered over to her old booth without even realizing it. “Stella?”

“The girl you were looking at. She comes by my stand often, bringing me all sorts of rocks and gems she finds. A sweet girl, though I’m pretty sure she steals most of the things she brings me.” Ms. Chen's voice was thoughtful as she talked of Stella, as if she cared for her as much as she would her own child.

“Does she have a good home?”

Ms. Chen's face fell slightly, “I don’t know. She refuses to talk about her parents but I do worry greatly about her. When she comes by my stand I make sure to buy her food and check to make sure she is all right.”

The corner of Cinders mouth twitched downward in concern. But her thoughts were pushed aside as her eye caught a necklace on the table. The necklace had a silver chain and the charm was a crescent moon dotted with three small white sparkling gems. She grabbed the necklace carefully and turned it over, the back read, “I love you to the moon and back”. A grin spread across her face as she read the words, Kai would love this. 

“How much for this necklace?”

Ms. Chen shook her head, “You can have it, you don’t need to pay me anything.”

“Don’t be silly,” Ms. Chen was about to argue more but Cinder continued talking, “I have more than enough money to afford it. How much?”

She considered for a moment, seeming more inclined to argue but finally said, “35 univs.”

Cinder transferred the money and tucked the necklace safely in her pocket. With a goodbye to Ms. Chen, she wandered back through the sea of people and stalls as she made her way to the hover waiting for her right outside the market. Excited to show Kai the present she got for him, she reached for her port to tell him she was on her way back but when her hand dug through her empty pocket, she realized it was gone.

jacin was purposely luxurious in using the rampion’s supplies. maybe because it had been a while before he could be mean to his peers without punishment, so he took this chance to mess with cinder. because he’s a little bitch.

iko and cress were very close. their friendship started when iko cut her hair and cress confessed to iko about her feelings for thorne. i have no idea if iko’s mental age is fourteen or forty five, but i think it’d be a fun experience for her to just be a girl and have fun. and cress totally did weird technology programming stuff to her. sounds creepy but. oh well.

kaider had unsatisfactory sex for the first time on the rampion and felt a little embarrassed about it for a while, but they eventually powered through it and kept their relationship strong.

wolf wanted to grow a beard, like a huge one, but felt that it would only bring attention to the fact that he’s TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD, so reluctantly kept it clean shaven. he and thorne were definitely beard buddies after the war though.

THORNE AND WOLF ARE BROTHERS OK. wolf is like the older male figure that thorne looked up to, and thorne is wolf’s chance at another younger brother. their contrast between abused lunar soldier and rich, sheltered american really seals the deal for a bomb dynamic. and wolf would totally redefine the idea of masculinity for thorne, really make him get rid of all that toxic shit. he also calls thorne carswell to piss them off. no this is not a carswolf post but could be.

scarlet was either bra-less or only wearing a bra on the rampion. not in a sexual way but in a farm girl way.

Oooh okay I’m going to share my tlc gen 2 personality hcs, but very generally😂😂 I see wolflet’s kids being very much into the farm life. Along with having wolf-ish features, they’re not afraid to get dirt on their hands, hold insects, or display farmer manners. The only thing that scares them is their mother (Scarlet), especially when she scolds them in French (scary). They’re the type of folks to have had a few front teeth missing often as children (probably from tripping over roots and slipping on mud a lot. But don’t worry, they grew back eventually as adult teeth, just not super straight). These kids were not portscreen kids, instead they spent their time playing with farm animals. For Kaider’s kids, I see them being similar to their parents, in the sense that they’re sassy, but well-mannered (most of the time), and rebellious royals. They’re considered cool kids at school, but obviously not in the regina george sense because that would be a scandal of its own. It’s mostly because they’re the princesses and prince (#nepotism), but they’re also know to be very nice kids. They’re more laid back with all the gazillion rules and regulations royalty must follow, mostly because their parents are THE Cinder and Kai. The kids attend the fanciest, richest, most prestigious private school in the commonwealth. Their hobbies growing up include tons of reading in the library and lots of back and forth between extracurriculars. Because Cindr and Kai aren’t the type of parents to force them to continue doing something they don’t want to, they encourage their kids to explore whatever interests they want to pursue (one of the many perks of being wealthy. Wish I knew what that was like). Stuff like piano, violin, other instruments, sports, volleyball, dance, horseback riding, art, etc. They’re more used to tidiness and fancy stuff thanks to Kai’s lavish palace environment, but both Cinder and Kai (mostly Cinder) make efforts to get them to clean up instead of having servants do it. From picking up their toys and mess as children, to wiping down tables and countertops. Although they aren’t fully comfortable and in love with dirt and grime in general, they’ve luckily grown up to be okay with it (ie. playing outside in their gardens). But at least you know they’re very hygienic

Oooh, I love these! Very similar to my own ideas for them. I definitely agree that kaider's kids wouldn't grow up as prim and proper as ordinary royalty. Because I don't think Cinder ever feels like she's really royalty, she gives them a more normal childhood; they have to clean, work hard and deal with conflict. And we know she's uncomfortable being waited on hand and foot, so she wouldn't let her kids have a pain-free, easy life either. I also think Kai doesn't want them to grow up as spoiled brats, so he also makes sure they learn to be grateful.

You asked for asks idk what kind but here’s a lil Kai headcanon for u. He’s a really good dancer and not just ballroom. I think he got really interested in dance when he was younger and took literally any class he could. Ballet, tap, hip hop, etc and hes like insanely good at all of them. Sometimes he’ll just take his shoes off and start doing pirouettes and everyone’s like…..what. (Side note: cinder thinks it’s the hottest thing ever)

I feel like kaider stans either headcannon as a terrible dancer other than ballroom dancing or a dancing god.

Personally, I see either way. I can totally imagine a small get together at the Rampion and someone starts playing hip-hop and he just starts bringing out the moves. Of course, everyone is surprised that he’s so good at dancing despite him literally being an expert at ballroom dancing.

But I can also see him having two left feet when it comes to something other than ballroom dancing. Depends on what mood I am 🤷‍♀️.

(And Cinder would totally think he’s so hot when he dances. Or when he falls. Then again, Cinder thinks everything he does is hot. Some things more than others 😏)
