Yo I forgot until that other person replied but I actually really like the idea of KanoMomo, in the sense that he might start dating her somewhat out of spite as a way of "getting back" at Shin for "stealing" his sister, but over time starts to develop genuine feelings for her. I think Momo would have the right amount of patience and assertiveness to understand/keep him in line too, and I can see her asking Kido for advice on how to handle him when frustrated. =P

Was looking through random Kagepro stuff lately and accidentally got introduced to Kanomomo and omg it’s genius for a multitude of reasons

-IT’S SO THEMATICALLY SPICY like it’s about the masks they wear, the people they present as to others, and how severely it’s been embedded into them and how it effects them and trying to break free from that!!

-Any dynamic that’s along the lines of “Edgy guy who thinks he’s hot shit/plucky girl who sees right through him” is always gold

-Actually this ship gives me vibes of the “couple who constantly snark at each other” trope that’s in… okay most romcoms these days that is usually done badly but I actually really like it when it’s done well, and I think this would be one of those times. So much sass..

-Really I’m a just sucker for any unlikely-at-first-glance/odd couple pairings in general

Here it is!! I’m sorry it took so long, I was busy, cough. Anyways these two are best buddies and nothing can separate them. And yeah it’s the second one. I put it in because I made this blog a few years back before kagepro (more specifically before I got into kanoshin), only made two posts and I forgot about it until last year. i thought i had talked abt kanomomo before but apparently i hadnt omg? but anyways i love kanomomo and i wish they got to interact more in general like off the top of my head i can only recall them interacting when momo first joins the mekakushi dan, and later in novel 8 where they get MURDERED together. but ignoring the murder part i love the way they think of one another in the novels like its sooo interesting to me;

and i wish there was something more to their relationship especially considering the fact that momo had to watch her brother wither from depression and kano was a big factor of said depression, with how he spat hateful words to shintaro while disguised as ayano. maybe explore momo holding a grudge even idk. but i just think theres so much potential to their relationship as theyre both younger siblings who are protective of their insane suicidal older siblings. also!!! they both have themes of nights and moons, kano relishing in the darkness of the night to hide his lies, and momo being a shining moon in the night to light up the darkness. it makes me a bit sad that their dynamic wasnt explored more. anyways i love this picture forever:

5 favorite characters: Ayano, Shintaro, Seto, Kano, Kido

3 OTPs: I don’t really ship anyone strongly in Kagepro, but ShinAya hurts me for the tragedy of the pair.  SetoMarry also means a lot to me symbolically since Imagination Forest was one of the first songs I heard.  As for a third… I sorta like the idea of KanoMomo tbh, in the sense that Kano would start dating Shin’s little sister just as a way of getting back at him at first, but genuinely starting to fall for her along the way.  Plus I feel like Momo has the right balance of sweetness and strictness to keep Kano in check (though I’m sure she’d come to Kido a lot for advice on how to handle him =P).

Funniest character: Kano and Ene

Prettiest character: Ayano, although I kinda like how none of the characters are super-attractive (IMO).

Most badass character: Konoha

KanoMomo Day

Continuing with Kano Month, I present to you headcanons about two best blonds~

-Momo is probably the only person beside Kido that treats the whole gang thing actually seriously and to Kano it’s both very funny and adorable~

-She also treats seriously the fact that he has higher rank/is practically second in command. It may not be shown often, but she actually respects him as that and values his advices.

- (kinda similar to my kanomary headcanon, I admit) Kano to mess with her sometimes comes up with fake gang rules/traditions (and she totally falls for it)

- At the beginning he was pretty cautious about her which really just came from the fact that she was the first new member since Mary and he was worried if it’s a good change for the rest. But once she proved herself Kano became dedicated to make her stay in Dan the best experience and she was added to the list of people Kano would die for.

- One of the things I find interesting in their dynamic is that they are both very cheerful persons!… At least that’s what it seems like, but we know that most of the time it’s just Kano’s mask. I imagine that he really admires Momo’s genuine cheerfulness and positive attitude. I imagine that it also must be pretty… relieving for him to have some like her in the Dan as she naturally does what he he always tries to do- lighten up everyone’s mood.

- (it’s the kind of scenario where they got out of Daze together with Kenjirou or something) After Momo heard that Kano was going to school disguised as Ayano… she started to beg him to do the same for her (for far less heroic reasons, she just wants to pass the damn class). Kano eventually gave in, albeit reluctantly. (But in the end Kenjirou managed to see through his deceive anyway… though he didn’t say anything untill the end of class, he just casually asked him to tell Kido and Seto that he will be home later cuz he has some work to do :P Kano under his breathe: “Where did I made mistake?” “You just can’t fool father’s instinct. Also Momo calls skeleton “unfleshed human”.)

- out of the Dan members Kano is the most often the victim of Momo’s cooking, because he is as bad in saying ‘no’ to people as she is in cooking

- If Momo continued her career as idol, it would be pretty cool if she dragged Kano to that industry. I’m pretty sure he’d be a good actor ;P

I'm pretty sure Jin doesn't ship HibiMomo? Like, I don't really hate the ship (but I don't like it either; I prefer HibiHiyo tho I'm also pretty neutral on that. Hibiya's just not shippable for me), but the last novel pushed HibiHiyo. HibiMomo seems more friendshippy for me. Only thing I have to say about this, don't let the haters win!

Hmmm, this is an iffy. I had to ask my friend if she could dig up some tweets made by Jin. I don’t know about now/after MCA, and I am surprised by the HibiHiyo at the end and wondered if Jin switched ship or not.

But back before MCA aired, Jin did ship HibiMomo.
