#keep ai out of fandom creative spaces

Note
I find it hilarious that people are turning a post that was originally about resisting the use of AI in creative spaces into some kind of hate fueled anti-bullying soap box campaign. They make multiple posts where they act like they're being vague and don't want to actually call anyone out but then they keep sharing screenshots with usernames in them and they're putting it all in the solavellan/solas critical tags. Meanwhile their posts have nothing to do with Dragon age at all. It's so transparent that they've got personal beef and they can't even see that they're in danger of becoming the kind of bully they claim they're "protecting" the fandom from.
i have been just sitting on the sidelines watching the convoluted tale they are weaving literally day after day after day, and not speaking on it bc everyone except for them wants to move on and, frankly, no one outside of their lil bubble they have cultivated believes a word they are saying, but i have to fully agree with this. bc why are you tagging a harry potter fic post with dragon age related tags? why are you tagging questions about the bg3 fandom with dragon age tags? why are you tagging nonsensical ramblings perpetuating the exact behavior you white knight against with completely unrelated tags?? you just look silly atp.
(if you are as tired of the drama as i am, feel free to literally scroll past. seriously, trust me, i get it. smooches)
to that point and the only other lie (somehow pulled out of thin air) that i will be addressing: i never told this person that if they proved they could simply write on their own that i would take the post down. literally never once said that. what i said (and what was clearly tagged on my callout post) is that if they tagged their fic as ai, then i would take the post down. bc they admitted to using an ai editing software built on genAI. but the five people rallying around this one person seemingly don't know how to read or do any research of their own, i fear.
now, if anyone else is reaching out to this person and saying the post will be taken down if they just prove they can in fact write in the same style and flow as the fic that was called out (not a harry potter fic from two years ago that was beta'd and has nothing to do with the current situation) then i ask that you all to maybe... start thinking critically. who has the authority over my posts? i do. i decide what is proper proof and i decide what constitutes as reason enough for the post to be taken down. i already stated what that would be: just tag your shit accordingly. bc then there would be no need for me to spread awareness about dishonest use of genAI in fandom creative spaces. which again, was the entire point of the post if you would have just taken the time to read it properly. they literally admitted to using the software. they also said they couldn't provide a writing history bc they write.... in grammarly. (google docs, microsoft word, ellipsus, scrivener [bc no one said google docs was the only word-processing program people are allowed to use, it's simply the one they said they export their story to] all have revision history available. i'm sure there are many more, too; these are just the ones i have used and know for a fact have this feature)
and yeah, anon, they plague us with bullying accusations, yet we have all stayed silent aside from continuing to be outspoken about the use of ai in fandom or other harmful stereotypes and untrue narratives they are trying to perpetuate (and my 3? comments from a burner account to defend myself on the reddit callout post of me in a sub they mod that they had previously banned me from in retaliation of speaking out against their dishonest use of ai). they cry witch hunt this and bullying that but... they are the one who won't shut up about me and mine. calling people out by name now?? bc i didn't give them the back and forth beef they wanted?? truly wild (and hilariously sad) to witness.
i've said it once (twice, thrice, whatever) before but i do truly mean it this time because i have been having a blast not focusing on the trainwreck of lie after lie after wacky fucking lie that they are building up, but this is the last thing i will say on the matter. truly (i promise guys). if you hear of anything else, i implore you to realize this person has perpetuated this behavior in two (three if you want to get nitty gritty with it) completely unrelated and separate dragon age fandom spaces. there is a pattern here. anyways!!!!!!!!! have a wonderful week and go smoosh ur rooks with solas and play barbies fr <3
#i won't say NOTHING in my tags besides#FUCK ai#resist ai#ai critical#keep ai out of fandom creative spaces#and tag your ai shit properly#ask answered#durgeapologist#(see how easy it is to keep tags relevant? wow!)

hey so ai shouldn’t be used in creative spaces (including and especially creative fan spaces) not just because of all the normal ethical problems with ai but because creating art is something so intrinsically human that ai simply cannot replicate it
and if you think it should be used then sorry but ur literally so cooked??
#Idc if it’s literally a fanfic about dobby fucking buckbeak#only a weird lil human brain could come up with that#weird lil human brains need to be protected#so fuck off with yer chatgpt bullshit#and keep ai out of creative spaces#ESPECIALLY CREATIVE FAN SPACES#which are already in a precarious position#ai slander#fandom#ao3

Reblog with your favorite reliable source about ai, for or against. I’m trying to prove a point
(Please feel free to also share your thoughts and opinions on ai)

Your posts and commentaries on AI have slapped! I think I’ve learnt more from you and the other commentators on the intricacies of it and AI detectors, etc etc than anywhere else. And the questions you’re asking to interrogate the fallacy in these other ‘arguments’? Love it. Keep up the good work.
thank you, I'm really glad to hear it! that has always been the goal here!!!!
#anti ai#resist ai#ai critical#ai discourse#fuck ai#unfortunately we do need to educate ourselves about these topics#and be vigilant#if we want to keep this shit out of our creative and fandom spaces

🌈Rainbow Rush 2025🌈
Welcome to Rainbow Rush 2025!!!🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
This is a little fan event that I’ve put together to help bring a little joy, community, and creativity into the world for Pride Month. I hope you join in on the fun and enjoy yourselves!
(June 1st - June 30th)
What is Rainbow Rush?
I’m glad you asked! It’s a fan event done by me to just bring a lot of good feelings, and hopefully good times to people this Pride Month, through the act of small (or big, if you’d like) creative creations! Think “no pressure creative exercises centered around Pride Month!”
Essentially my goal is to allow people to create – with small projects being the minimum (drabble, small doodles/sketches, etc.) – something quick and fun for the month of June: Pride month!
What kind of creative works are allowed?
Anything and everything! Writing, art, digital art (think gif making as an example), crafts, music, etc! It just has to fit within the boundaries of the prompt(s), SFW and NSFW are both welcomed (so think fluff vs smut), and no AI is allowed under any circumstances.
What are the rules?
The rules are very simple:
For writing, a 500 word (drabble) minimum requirement.
For art, basically think what can take you probably up to no more than an hour (so think something done during a lunch break or before bed.) Doodles, stick figure drawings, small little things that don’t have to be fully fleshed out and perfect.
One big reason I wanted to put this together was to give people something to do as a somewhat fun creative activity, that can also be exercises that don’t need to be completed or perfect. You can and absolutely may go for larger projects or do more than what’s listed, but you also absolutely don’t have to.
Do I have to do every prompt provided?
Absolutely not! Feel free to skip around or do whichever you’d like! One, all, or some! I tried to keep it pretty simple, but I know some prompts aren’t for everyone, and that’s ok! Again, I want this to be fun and creative! Don’t worry about not doing them all.
Wait, there’s multiple prompts listed on one day, do I have to do every single one?
Nope! I put many together because they either fit under the same umbrella, or I wanted to include them and didn’t have the extra space. I wanted to include as many as I could to give everyone a seat at the table, so to speak, as well as offering as much choice as possible. You don’t have to do every single one (but you can if you’d like!)
Is Rainbow Rush open to any fandom, character, and/or ship?
You betcha! Feel free to create for any fandom, character, ship, etc., that you’d like! Crossovers are also welcomed!
Can I skip around prompts? What if I miss a day and still want to do that prompt?
Excellent question! You are absolutely allowed to do things out of order, and if you miss a day, feel free to go back and do it anyways!
What if I’d like to do several for one prompt? And what is “free day” all about?
You may absolutely do as many for each prompt as you’d like! Create to your heart’s content! And “free day” is for whatever prompt you’d like that still connects back to Pride. I know I didn’t fit every single thing in, and I don’t want people to feel excluded, so that’s your day to create something for whatever you’d like and that I missed! Again, just please have it connect back to Pride in some form or another.
What if I’d like to post my work somewhere else besides here?
I currently only have this up on tumblr, but feel free to post your creations wherever you’d like! Go and be free! It’d be wonderful if you could still share this event in some form or fashion, but you’re also not obligated to.
What are the prompts?
So very glad you asked! The prompts for the 30 days are
Rainbow
Lesbian/Sapphic/WLW
Gay/Queer Awakening
Ace spec/Aro Spec
First Crush
“You wanna get outta here?”
First Love
Trans/Transgender
Questioning
First Time
“I need to tell you something.”
Bisexual/Pansexual
Parade/Club
“It’s not too late.”
Joy/Happiness
Polyamorous
“It just feels right.”
Labels/Identity
“I think I’m/I might be-“
Community/Friends/Family
Nonbinary/Genderfluid/Genderqueer
Pronouns
“I was scared to tell you.”
Love (of any and all kind)
MLM/Gay Men/Queer Men
“I’m happy with who I am.”
Free Day!
Butch/Bear/Femme/Etc.
“I/We saw you from across the bar and-“
Red/Pink/Orange/Yellow/Etc. (colors of the rainbow)
I tried to keep the prompts vague on purpose to allow for more creative freedom and interpretations. Feel free to create with them as you’d like!
If you’d like to join and do create anything, please use the tag Rainbow Rush 2025, so everyone can see it, as well so it can be easily shared!
I truly do hope everyone will have a fun and creative time with this event! Feel free to ask me any questions, if you have them or I missed something, and enjoy the Rainbow Rush!!!🌈

tumblr blog conclaveyaoi does not support any type of self-defined AI-generated material in this fandom, images (never to be called art because it isn't art) nor AI-writing (which isn't writing either). I'll never reblog or like it and whenever I see it on the eg. giulio sabbadin tag, I am extremely annoyed this is taking the place of the art from the fantastic artists and writers I have the privilege to see and interact with in this corner of the internet.
by the same token, tumblr blog conclaveyaoi has seen fantastic artists and writers be falsely accused in a witch hunt type of AI-accusation with no proof whatsoever and does not believe this is the efficient way to prevent the AI-generated slop. accusations can only stand with evidence and they have no weight without evidence. yeah, law degree and kafka fan here. a witch hunt leads to hurting the fantastic artists and writers who are then being unfairly accused of something they haven't done. this is not the same as calling out the self-defined AI-generated material (not art because it isn't art), I repeat, going around eg. the giulio sabbadin tag. there is evidence in the self-defined AI-generated images seen in that tag and I don't support any of it.
on the other hand, I've seen an artist I really enjoy being falsely accused based on a random "hunch" which I found very concerning. this is what I mean by witch hunt. if accusations = facts then we might as well leave the fandom because it'll become a battlefield of 'ragebait' people accusing actual artists and writers with no proof. not liking a fellow conclaver who doesn't use AI doesn't give you the right to make false claims without evidence. innocent until proven guilty exists because anyone can be an unfair victim of false accusation, which has always made my blood boil. in the exercise of keeping AI away from creative spaces, we cannot be hurting fellow conclavers, artists and writers because it's simply not fair to actual artists and writers (which needless to say does not include AI-users).
there is no room for AI in creative spaces. there is no room for AI in my blog because I'll never reblog AI-generated images or texts. my reblogs and my art tag are for the fantastic artists I see in this fandom, never AI.
to the person who generated the AI content in the giulio sabbadin tag and anyone in this fandom who uses AI: there's no room for your stuff in my blog. none. I don't want to see AI in the tag of my blorbo either. or in any tag. I am anti-AI for a myriad of reasons and when it comes to creativity it is firstly based on principle. it is in honour of the great Miyazaki and the late David Lynch, two of my heroes. it is in honour of ars longa vita brevis. because you took your time to justify it on conclaveconfessions, I kindly ask you to educate yourself on the tool you're using, on the political scale of the issue (especially in the US at the moment) and on the infuriating environmental damage you're causing in the middle of a climate crisis that affects primarily the most socioeconomically-vulnerable communities around the planet by your senseless AI use. technofascism is here already, it's scary and we are all just one tiny corner of the internet in the middle of a gigantic problem. still, as part of a creative space, we must stand up for art and uplift the actual artists and writers. if we don't have that, we might as well be numbers on an excel spreadsheet.
on behalf of justice, no witch hunt with false claims against actual artists and writers. on behalf of art, let's keep AI away from creative spaces and not support AI-generated material. both? both.
once again for the people in the back: this blog does not support the self-defined AI-generated material that I've been witnessing in the giulio sabbadin tag. of all tags, right in my boy's tag...

I know exactly which fic and post that reblog is referring to.
And if you genuinely don't believe it's ai then you are an idiot. A dangerous idiot.
All that tells me is that you probably use it too, and are just trying to build up some armour for when it comes out about your writing.
Which it will.
ai users and supporters don't belong in this fandom space, we don't want you.
Ok, here we go.
(answer below the cut, I don't want to flood people's dashes with negativity. I try to keep my blog positive)
I have no evidence that any fic I have read has been generated by ai, and neither do you.
In terms of my own stance:
I do not use ai.
I do not approve of ai.
I also do not approve of poorly constructed witch hunts.
Go through all my work if you wish. Pick apart every story and poem and do a post about which parts you believe have been churned out by a soulless robot. I don't give a shit.
I could tell you to go fuck yourself in ways artificial intelligence could never ever begin to replicate.
You are the problem here. Fandom does not want you.
If you start feeding ChatGPT prompts in an attempt to try and find similarities between ai work and fanfiction - guess what happens?
If you keep accusing writers of using ai with shitty evidence and drive them from the fandom - guess what happens?
You are contributing to the problem, and the ratio will tilt further and further in favour of ai. Because creatives will lose heart, the thing ai can never replicate.
I use 'purple prose', I use repeat imagery, I mix metaphors, I struggle to be concise. I am not breaking new ground with my writing. I am not redefining genres or tearing down tropes.
AND STILL, IT IS NOT AI.
I'm done, truly. I'm too tired.
And before you start with this 'Only the guilty run' mindset. Then I will tell you that the innocent will run when there is no chance of a fair trial.
Godspeed to the other writers out there, I hope you have a better experience than me. I hope you that you are treated kindly. I hope that keep writing and that it brings you the joy you deserve.

Rook’s Book Nook (<-Invite Link!) is an 18+ hangout for writers and artists who are looking for a fandom spot to make their art and talk about the games -- without the intrusion of wider fandom drama or having to juggle fandom and current events in the same place. We’re open to fandom creatives of any kind, especially those that make more mature or adult-oriented art.
We also welcome people who just want to develop and talk about their OCs (or hang out and enjoy the OCs and fanworks of others)!
Server Features:
Absolutely NO AI, LLM, or image generated content.
Writing prompts and OC questions posted at least once a week by the mods (and more often by anyone who wants to!)
Smut- and kink-friendly! We’re also welcoming toward all ships and all different sorts of OCs, and we even have a dead dove role and a dedicated channel for it if that’s your speed.
Veilguard positive. RBN makes the baseline assumption that its members enjoyed Veilguard and are interested in interacting with it — either to love it, critique it, or make fanworks of it — in a generally positive fashion. It doesn’t need to be your favorite for you to be welcome here, we’re just not going to be an enjoyable environment for people who don’t enjoy it or don’t want to interact with Veilguard content.
Rook’s Book Nook is also NOT spoiler-free. Members are NOT asked to mark spoilers for any piece of Dragon Age canon, and we suggest that anyone who wants to remain spoiler-free for Veilguard refrain from joining until they finish their first campaign.
Fandom-only — i.e. minimal-to-no discussion of current events. The world is intense and often alarming, and RBN aims to create a space where we can engage socially and creatively with this hobby without the risk of coming across real life news or coverage of current events. By now, we trust that all of our members are staying informed on their own terms and have already cultivated private places with friends in which to discuss those topics, and are aiming to make this server a reprieve from constant real life anxiety if we can.
In an effort to keep the space generally relaxed and free of drama, for now RBN doesn’t have any designated rant or vent channels and has no plans of adding them in the near future.
Launching with a handful of BG3-related channels, as well, thanks to the significant crossover of those two fandoms. Show us your Tav/Durge/Dnd character! (Other channels can also be added on request.)

These are the rules for Bearcon Party. To learn more about the schedule of the event, check out this post or our profile.
Works must include Esteban/Ollie (Bearcon) as the main pairing. They can have past relationships and other pairings can be present but must not be the main focus of the work. Fics that are Esteban/Ollie/Someone Else are not appropriate for this event. This event is solely to celebrate Bearcon as a pairing.
Prompts are provided for each day but each prompt is fully open to interpretation, whatever you get out of it is what you get out of it. A free space is also available on day 7 on which you can share any work you want (even works that might not fully fit another prompt)
Works must be new for the event (so no sharing a fic or art piece you posted already) but sequels are more than welcome.
You can create any type of work. Fics, art, videos, gif sets, edits and anything else you can think of. If it's Bearcon, it's welcome.
Works can be any length. Short works and long works are just as beloved!
Use of AI is growing within fandom spaces. However things such as chatGPT and AI art programs use other people's work for their training models without consent/permission. To protect people's creative work, use of such tools will not be permitted in this event. If you need help making something you can do it the old fashioned way by asking friends or people in the Bearcon Club server (link below) for help.
We want to keep this a celebration of the ship, so hurt/no comfort and major character death or other dark themes are not appropriate for this event. If you're in doubt whether your idea fits, please reach out to us on here or via our discord server.
To ensure we see your work and can share it please tag us and use the hashtag #BearconParty2025. If we don't share your work within a day, please message us. Sometimes things get lost on Tumblr.

Just a small announcement to the the people that keep uploading my art and even personal images to pinterest: PLEASE STOP!

Instead, I encourage you to draw your own art and take your own photos and upload those instead. :3
I love fandom. I love being part of fandoms and sharing things within fandoms, but what I don't like is people taking my images and putting them in places I did not put them.
"But Fang, it's the Internet, people will just do this."
I don't care. I share my art/images so that other people can enjoy them where I put them. That doesn't mean I'm okay with people editing them, re-upload them, or using them for their ai character (i mean wtf).
I also do not care if you credit me because I don't want you re-uploading them in the first place!
I'm cool with people using them for wallpapers on your phone or PC or sharing them among your friends. If you wanna print them out and stick em on your wall, I'm also cool with that, too. I'm not drawing these for money, I'm drawing them because I like drawing and sharing my silly pictures with people! And I like to see people enjoy them too!
But what kills people's creativity and engagement within fandom spaces is people not respecting the people who make content for the fandom. The content you are not making yourself. Otherwise, you wouldn't be re-uploading other people's stuff.
In conclusion, please be more mindful of what you're doing with other peoples stuff because we see you. We are part of the fandom, too.
Also, you can ask for permission if you're unsure if I'd be okay with something. I'm not gonna jump through your screen and hurt you. And I really appreciate people who do ask because it shows me you care as much as I do about my things. But if you're happy not giving a shit about my feelings, then don't expect me to give a shit about yours.
✌️&❤️
#people are gonna keep doing it anyway because no one actually cares cause their brains are content rotted but i thought I'd share anyway#albert wesker#resident evil#fanart#digital art#my art#wesker tsum tsum

completed the interview earlier today! i hope i represented the fanfiction community and the batman fandom well enough 🥲 and myself! i keep forgetting that i am a part of this process. i matter too! i hope this brings visibility and awareness to the harms of AI in general, but especially so in creative/fandom spaces. particularly fandom and fanfiction spaces! i was so nervous i basically blacked out and i barely remember all of what i said lol. anyway. i’m grateful that the massive hate is now translating into an opportunity for advocacy. AI is a threat to these spaces and communities, and i’m really proud of myself for stepping up to the plate in spite of the smear campaign. i don’t need to worry about what other people think. just myself and those with my values and interests, like y’all! <3 the interview should be posted next week, and i’ll share it here when it goes live! thank you all again for standing by me, means everything. love you all!!

Welcome to my Creative Space

Hello there! My name is Wayward, this is a side blog for all of my creative endevours. This blog will consist of information about my Novel, my OCs and Sonas, my self inserts and my crossovers. For now this blog is small but I'm really hoping it will expand soon. I often get discouraged when I start blogs because they don't gain traction right away but I have to remind myself just to stick with it!
Also my main blog is @waywardsou2 I have some interesting stuff over there too!
A little introduction about me: My name is Wayward but you can call me Way or Brother, my pronouns are He/They and I don't mind which of those two you use. I've been writing since I was 12 and I've been drawing since I was young but I only started taking my art seriously in the past 4 years.
I'm going to be doing a university degree for Creative Arts and Creative writing so I'll be excited to post about that on this blog as well
Another thing that feel relevant is my fandoms! I'm only going to add the recent ones since I don't see the point in adding ones that have dormant interest
Marvel | HTTYD | Avatar | My Hero Academia (kinda) | TMNT
A little bit more about me can be found here
And finally some tags for the kind of work I will be posting
☁️ - Fluff
🌹 - Romance
⛓️ - Angst
🔥- Smut
💀 - Gore or really intense scenes
Keep an eye out for these bad boys

Before I introduce you to any of my work I want to lay out some ground rules for this blog
I love getting asks so send me anything as long as you are polite, there is so such thing as a stupid question and I am happy to talk about head canons, works, oc lore. Anything! Just be nice.
Under no circumstances is my art or my writing to be used anywhere else, you do not have permission to use my ocs or their backstories in your own work. If you would like to collaborate with my works please ask and we can discuss.
I do not allow the use of AI in relation to my works, my works are not to be used in training AI and you may not use AI to change any of works.
Reposting my work even with credit is not allowed and I will consider this stealing and report/block you
All of my OCs and Sonas will be listed below with links to their Master Posts/Biographies
Bridger Banks - Bio pending
Calix Ashide - Bio pending
Rowena Evans - Bio Pending
This is where my collection of works will be postes, you can find requests, prompts and refernces tagged here

KEEP AI OUT OF FANDOM‼️

WE DO NOT WANT THIS.
FANDOM IS A SPACE FOR CREATIVITY & PASSION, NOT CONTENT SCRAPING AND PLAGIARIZING ARTIFICIAL CRAP
note: please do not go searching ao3 to harass this person. i have intentionally cut out as much identifying information as possible. i don’t want them to be harassed because that won’t teach them anything good.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT AI
most people who know me or have been on my page know this, but I want to make it VERY clear, ai is not welcome on my page and NEVER will be. ai is not meant to replace the creative fields, the artists, the routine and process of creation, none of it. art is one thing that humanity has had for a very long time, and it's something that connects us and helps document history, stories, people, and much more. seeing ai infiltrate fandom spaces, in any regard, is frustrating. fan works should come from the heart and from the passion you have for the thing you are a fan of, the love for the process of creation, the satisfaction of the end result. that's what make fandoms so special. to have a program do it for you creates a lack of passion. it's redundant and it's boring. not to mention its stealing whose art/writing/likeness has been stolen by these programs. it's unfair to those creatives who work their ass off to create and try and make a living. "the starving artist" is a very real and true statement in a lot of cases.
and not to mention, that specific type of ai is HORRIBLE for the environment, and it is burning a hole into the ozone layer. sites where this ai sites are being built are sitting in places where resources like clean water is being tainted because of it. (look up elon musks supercomputer in memphis.)
ai is supposed to be a tool that can help like scan for early signs of cancer and assisting in risky surgery in which human error can be dangerous, not stealing from creative minds and artists. if you are looking for ways to avoid ai on social media, or try and keep ai out of your life as much as you can, you can do the following: * create your own works! "but i don't know how to draw!" neither did most artists once upon a time. the point is to learn and experiment. the mind is full of capabilities, and you are more creative than you might think. "but art has rules!" true, but you need to learn the rules before you can break them! "i'm not a good writer" to who? to yourself? to that one loser on the internet you said you suck? fuck 'em! keep writing!! creative fields need to keep flourishing and just because some person said you suck, doesn't mean everyone else in the world thinks that. most cases, they either don't create or they are just miserable. * when on search engines, such as google, when you type in the search bar, add " -ai " to the end of it, to stop ai search results from coming up. ai summaries are not always accurate. * AVOID CHATGPT, CHARACTER.AI, AND ANY OTHER "CREATIVE" AI! just avoid it. don't acknowledge it, do not use it. there is NO excuse to use it. these sites STEAL from creatives on a daily basis. talking to a digital ai character is NOT the same as a person. i know it's hard to talk to people, as i tend to be introverted myself, but i will not talk to an ai character. write a private self insert story, and consider what your character might say back to you. it's more creative, and it will most likely be even more therapeutic in the long run. * if you are being asked to told to use ai, say NO. REFUSE. saying no is a terrifying concept, but trust me, when you start learning to use the word no, the easier it will become. ask to not be involved, find an alternative, or even walk away.
"i use ai to generate ideas" FIND ANOTHER WAY. go support your local library, buy or pirate books, go out in the world, talk to people, FIND RESOURCES. ai is not the solution to finding inspiration. you have a whole world in front of you. people have done is for YEARS before the computer/ai was a concept, and we are still able to go offline and experience life. everyone's life is different, which also provides different perspectives. that perspective is going to be much more influential and more expressive then anything ai can provide. in short, there is so much creatives and especially young creatives should know: your mind and your experiences are much more interesting and passionate than anything ai can create. as preachy as that sounds, it's very true. you are much more valuable than a supercomputer or an ai program. keep creating from your own mind. it's much more rewarding, i promise.

I had someone comment on a fic saying "too bad it wont be finished" and then repeatedly harassing me because they saw me updating other fics but not that one.
I had a commenter COMMENT on a other fic asking about a different one and if i would complete that one.
I had a commenter leave a transphobic comment stating they knew more about trans people because they grew up next to a gay boy in the 90s
People dont wanna engage in fandom anymore and it is sad.
Fanfic is a hobby. Its free. People feel so entitled to it.
And then you have people who would rather turn out AI slop than engage with fanfic writers (some of who would love to write for others)
They would rather use stolen words from another than learn how to write themselves.
🫂 I am sorry that you've dealt with those comments.
I love what you write and I have gone back to read it multiple times!
Keep being awesome 😎
bro that's so horrible 😭 I'm sorry you're getting such ungrateful and bigoted comments
I have a really close friend who's another fic writer and they get TONS of comments like this too it's so awful. In my experience, the commenters I'm getting are just people who seemingly don't like to read or are only pretending to have read my stories? Like for real, if someone doesn't actually enjoy a story of mine, then they don't have to read or comment on it? They can just go away??
Thinking of, I'm pretty sure I've also gotten a handful of comments from people who were like "Wow this story started off so good but now that you did X or Y, I think it's bad and I hate it!"
Like can these people just not shut up anymore? I know these sorts of sentiments have always existed online, in literary circles, and in human culture for probably as long as we've been telling stories but for some reason people nowadays can't figure out how to keep their thoughts to themselves anymore
My guess is that shit like chatgpt has made people assume that actual fic writing (and all forms of creative expression) is as easy as telling a machine to do the imagining for you. And if you as a human can't keep up with a plagiarism machine running on billions of dollars and all our world's clean water, then it's clearly your fault for being so slow.
You're honestly so excruciatingly right when you say that people feel entitled to fics these days. AI has made people lazy, selfish, and cruel. I firmly believe in this. But also, now more than ever, normies (and I don't even love using that term but you know what I mean) have utter free reign to niche online/fandom spaces and they are tearing our communities to shreds without even knowing it. They don't want to join us or learn our etiquette. Some of them can't even handle the concept of non-canon ships existing online and think the idea is something worthy of ridicule. They ultimately only ever want us to cater to them.
So guess what? I won't be!
You will never ever see me writing something for the sole sake of pleasuring someone else. Not a fic. Not a scene. Not a word. Everything I write is for me and if anyone else so happens to also enjoy it, all the better.
And I highly recommend that all other fic writers share this mentality :)
