Hello! This is just a post to warn about this user, because they keep harrassing Ichihime accounts, commenting against the ship on Ichihime's posts, being extremely misogynistic towards Orihime and reducing her to her body, also being aggresive, insulting everyone who doesn't agree with them, keeping going even when another user clearly does not want to interact with them and more, not even respecting the Ichihime tag by filling it with their posts insulting the ship, specially bashing Orihime and Kubo's writing, and commenting under actual Ichihime posts. Avoid speaking to them because it'll get you nowhere since there's no common sense.
These are just a few, there are many more, but I can just add 10 images, and trust me, you don't wanna see their account. It's just second hand embarassment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And mind you, these are mostly under Ichihimes posts.
And as if that wasn't enough, they're stalking, reposting without crediting the artist, an Ichihime artist, cinderserra, and criticizing their art, accusing them from using AI, when the artist is clearly NOT doing that. It's obvious they're saying such harmful things solely because they dislike the ship the art is representing. This is crazy, and their comments about it are just disgusting. Also, the bodyshaming/misogyny towards Orihime is even clearer here + plus, unrelated, but them being disgusting and derisive regarding mentally illness / harrassing me through dms / being xenophobic towards me:

Trust Issues
An anxious Astarion falls back into old patterns of behavior.
Warnings: vague mentions of Astarion's past but seriously the rest of it is just fluff, this boy deserves someone who treats him well
————————
He loves you. Of that much he’s certain now, despite the mental battle he waged to get to this point. And you love him. He believes it even though the voice in the back of his mind tells him that he could never be worthy of a creature like you, all goodness and light in direct contrast to his tortured darkness.
But old habits die hard. A minor disagreement earlier in the day (truly it was nothing, a mere gentle dissuasion away from his more violent tendencies) has him wound tight, worry clawing at his throat as you both retire to your tent for the evening. Surely now you’ll realize, now you’ll see the truth of him and you’ll run, leaving him behind like the monster he is.
He can feel his mindset shift, falling into old routines as he turns up the charm to seduce his way back into your good graces. He knows how to wield his body as a weapon, has used it countless times for his, and his master’s, benefit. If he makes you need him then you can’t leave him, and he intends to make you very needy tonight.
“You were magnificent today” he whispers into your ear, coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist.
You chuckle lightly and lean into him, closing your eyes as he begins gently kissing the sensitive hollow beneath your ear that has you arching further into his embrace.
“You flatter me,” you hum. “I’m still not sure why everyone has decided to act like I know what I’m doing. I never planned on being a leader.”
“And yet you do it so flawlessly,” Astarion purrs, gently kissing his way to your shoulder.
You twist in his hold, your breath catching as you see the look in his eyes that he’s praying you interpret as hunger and not helpless desperation.
He takes advantage of your distraction to pull you against him, lips claiming yours in a feverish dance that takes your breath away as you wind your hands into his hair, clinging to him as if he’s something worth having.
His hands shift suddenly, grabbing the backs of your thighs and lifting you as he lowers you both to your knees. His hands drift up, pulling your shirt from where it’s tucked into your pants and caressing his way across your stomach to your ribs, teasing the edge of your bra.
“I…” you take a sharp inhale, pulling yourself away from his searching mouth. “Astarion, stop.”
He freezes immediately, eyes instantly searching for an injury, for anything he may have done wrong
“Are you okay, my love? Did I hurt you?”
“Of course not, I just…” your fingers flit across his cheek, searching for answers to questions you’re afraid to ask. “You don’t seem like yourself. Are you alright?” He hesitates for a split second and your brow furrows, latching on to his lie before he can even tell it. “Tell me. Please?”
Your request is so earnest, so loving, that he has to pause for a moment to regain a hold of his emotions. If Cazador could see him now… the thought snaps him back to the present. He’s been a fool. You would never treat him like that, use him like that.
“… I’m sorry” he breathes. “You’re right. Of course you’re right. I… I lost control today, and I was afraid that you… that you might not...”
“I told you it was nothing to worry about, love. You were just—”
“Just being myself,” he interjects, dropping his head. “Just being quick to judge, to assume the worst, to—”
“Stop that,” you frown, nudging his chin up to draw his eyes back to yours. “You know I couldn’t do this without you, any of it. What you thought of me when we met, that I was naive and overly trusting and gullible…” At that Astarion chuckles, you’ve really only proven his first impression right, though at least now he finds it endearing rather than frustrating. “You weren’t wrong. You don’t realize how much I rely on your judgment, how much I need your help to keep us all safe.”
His eyes close as he presses his forehead to yours.
“You’re too kind to me,” he whispers. “No one has ever… I don’t understand how you can just…” he sighs, shoulders sagging as the facade crumbles and his hands come to rest in yours, holding them as if he’s afraid he’ll get lost if he lets them go. “It was wrong of me to try to manipulate you like that,” he murmurs, releasing a shaky breath. “I’m sorry.” You press a soft kiss to his cheek and duck your head, gently nuzzling your face into his neck. He feels you frown against him, a touch of cold alerting him to a teardrop falling onto his skin. “No, pet, please don’t cry, I—”
You lift your head suddenly, gaze piercing into him with an intensity he hadn’t expected.
“I need you to trust me, Astarion.”
His brow furrows in confusion.
“I do, my sweet,” he replies, letting out a wry chuckle before adding “despite the recent evidence to the contrary.”
Your gaze softens as you grin at him, brushing a stray curl off his forehead before bringing your hand to rest on his cheek.
“Then trust me to love you.Trust that you don’t need to earn that or convince me of anything more. I’m yours. I’m not going anywhere.”
Astarion’s eyes drift closed as a weight he didn’t realize he was carrying slips off his shoulders. He leans forward and captures your lips with his, tender and unhurried as you relax against him.
“Have I told you recently how much I adore you, darling?” he asks, tilting his head to slowly kiss his way to your jaw.
“Hmm…” Your eyes twinkle as you pull an exaggerated thinking face. “I’m sure you have but it’s been such a long day, I just can’t seem to remember…”
“Cheeky little pup,” he chuckles, gently nipping at your neck. You giggle as you pull him back to your mouth, smiling against his lips.
“Maybe you should jog my memory?”
“Oh, believe me,” he smirks, “I plan to.”

foxy!reader
content warnings: micro aggressions, mention of poverty, grief, drug abuse, sexual harassment, threats of violence, morally grey characters, sexual tension, guilt, manipulation (up to interpretation), daddy issues, implied stalking, misogyny, classism
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
foxy!reader is a prodigy. the first of her family to “make it out” feeds her ambition and drive to keep thriving so she can make her family proud and prove all her doubters wrong
no nonsense girl that is constantly on top of shit; it’s why ward hired her fresh out of law school
started as his intern, then became his personal assistant and finally his lawyer after she gave him better advice than his lawyer on how to handle a potential lawsuit with a client
her relationship with ward is the topic of many discussions and arguments in the cameron house. rose believes they’re too close and suspects that she’s trying to seduce ward, and rafe is jealous. of her or his father, no one knows
“i don’t want her knowing every single thing about the business.”
“she’s my lawyer, rose; it’s her job.”
“is it her job to cling to you like a stray cat?"
"she's a good kid, you know she's had a rough life. she didn't grow up with her father."
"i don't think it's a father she wants."
"i won't entertain your insecurities rose. drop it."
rafe’s constantly flirting with her, ignoring her blatant disinterest/annoyance that borders on disgust and loathing
he stops in his tracks, confusing kelce and topper before they follow his line of sight. “well, what have we here?” she’s on the patio, typing away on a laptop, most likely completing a task for his father.
topper shakes his head softly, “come on, man, leave her alone; she looks busy.”
“why don’t you focus on making sure your girlfriend doesn't get herself killed?” rafe waves him off as he confidently walks over to his prey.
he shuts her laptop. “hey foxy.”
she looks up from her laptop and glares, “fuck off, cameron.”
he smirks as she stomps away, laptop in hand. he confidently saunters back over to his friends. “she wants me so bad.” kelce chuckles, and topper shakes his head, fighting an amused smile.
rafe came up with the nickname foxy mostly because of her looks but her soft but raspy voice and sly tricks she uses to get ward (and his family) out of trouble plays a large role
isn’t afraid to tell rafe off even if he is her boss’s son not because she doesn’t care for her job but because she hates men like rafe and refuses to let him walk all over her. it’s the why he’s so enamored with her
foxy!reader is a thorn in the pogues’ side because she’s always three steps ahead of them. pope and her intellectually spar via chess when they’re not busy finding loopholes in the justice system or treasure hunting
has a mentor/mentee relationship with ward; he thinks she has a promising future and she wants to be a charismatic yet cutthroat professional like him, it’s why he anonymously paid for her schooling when she decided to get her master’s
she was livid when she found out and debated quitting, believing that her success was now tainted by blood money and wasn’t fully her own. it’s a whole thing that never truly gets resolved because ward dies
she’s crushed when ward dies, pissed that he’s just gone after literally changing her life for better and worse
tries to get ward’s affairs in order, as mentioned in his will, which rose finds suspicious, believing that she's trying to take their money or the gold for herself
rose has never liked foxy!reader, not in any stage of her time with ward. she’s supposed to believe that this pretty young thing hasn’t been squirming her way into her husband’s life? it doesn’t help that he seems to trust her with more information
rose paces back and forth as she rants, “i don’t like how she looks at him, and did you see the way she clung to his arm?”
“green is an ugly color on you, rose.” he mumbles into his third drink, poorly hiding his smirk.
very perceptive. the first one to realize ward’s faked his death after finding his first clue in his video will to his family
“how many times are you gonna watch that shit?” rafe’s slurred words snap her out of her daze. he’s poured himself another drink, you note.
she pauses the video to give him a once-over before turning back to her notes, “how many drinks have you had?”
“only five, mom.” he giggles at his crass joke and swallows down the rest of his whiskey.
“i’m surprised you haven’t started nursing the bottle.”
he frowns. “oh my bad is- is my grief not very convenient for you? huh?” he pokes at her face.
she slaps his hand away and stands up. “you’re pathetic. your father is dead, and you’re acting like a child.”
“and how should i be acting? huh? like you!?” he drunkenly points at the computer screen, “looking for proof of life? searching for clues? huh, nancy drew!?” she doesn’t answer, just glares.
he scoffs, “and i’m pathetic. okay.” he shoulder-checks her on his way out, most likely headed back to the wine cellar, she notes.
foxy!reader quit smoking before the events of season 1 and eats a lot of gum and sweets to satiate her cravings. she picks it up again when ward fakes his death due to a combination of stress, grief, and hopelessness
she had considered the repercussions of falling back into the comforting arms of her former vice. truly. lungs deterioration, increased anxiety, all the hard work she put into ruined in a second, all the progress they made down the drain.
they? there’s no ‘they’ anymore, just her.
“sorry, ward.” she clicks the lighter, and like one last practical joke from the big man, nothing comes out.
she tries again; there’s barely a spark.
again. nothing.
again. still nothing
again and again and again and again and- “fuck!”
“thought you quit smoking.”
she doesn’t even have to turn around to know he’s sporting his signature lopsided smirk. “yeah.”
rafe raises an eyebrow, shocked and amused at her muted reaction. “yeah? that’s it? no snide remark or telling me to fuck off?”
“wouldn’t be very gauche of me to in your time of grief.”
he looks at her for a beat, searching for what she doesn't know. he sighs defeatedly and begins to dig around in his pockets. he stops after a couple seconds and pulls out a lighter cased in gold with a familiar engraving, 'W.C.' it makes her naseous.
"already staking your claims?" he follows her line of sight and chuckles, "the only thing of his that fits me."
he stares down at her beckoning her closer with his eyes. she complies and he lights her cigarette.
"thanks."
he shrugs, "you looked like you needed it."
everything comes to a head when she follows rose to the shipyard, where she finds ward hiding out. confronts him for lying to her and making her solve riddles just to find out he’s alive
rose whips her head around to see what’s soured ward’s expression. she glares when she finds the source, “did you follow me!?”
the younger woman's slow claps only infuriate her. “wow, beauty and brains.”
ward holds his hand up, stopping his wife from continuing the exchange, his eyes never once leaving the young girl. “please. just let me explain.”
“what’s there to explain? it was a 'need to know basis' and i didn’t need to know. i’m not family, right?” she hates how her voice breaks on the last word, giving the man a window into her emotional state.
his gaze softens, “that’s not true. i left clues i knew you would fine and you're here so i'm guessing you found them."
"oh of course, how could i forget the great case of the exploding millionaire." she dryly chuckles, "don't act like you did that for me. you just wanted me to get your shit ready for your third act reveal."
he says nothing, avoiding her eyes like a cheating parent caught in the act by their child. it's worse than a slap in the face. rage boils up in her stomach; how could she be so blind? so stupid? he doesn't owe her anything.
"rafe was right." this makes him look up. "you don't care about anyone but yourself."
"what are you gonna do?" it's so quiet she almost thinks she imagined it. it's so pathetic, so unlike him.
"you mean am i going to report you?" she catches rose's glare but behind the fury in her eyes there's fear. "don't worry i won't break up this happy home. i'll get your shit in order but after that i'm done."
"wait-"
"no. i'm done, i mean it."
"okay."
after quitting and creates a private practice and uses the money she gets from kooks to finance her pro-bono work for pogues. she helps out the pogues sometimes by giving them legal advice or acting as their lawyer when they’re arrested because she feels bad for the part she’s played in fucking them over
is less than thrilled when rafe returns to obx and wants nothing to do with him. rafe tells her she owes his father for everything he’s done for her which leads to a fight where he calls her a ‘traitor’ and she calls him an 'insecure little bitch'
foxy!reader says she’s only helping rafe out because she owes his father but rafe’s not buying it
“tell yourself whatever you want.”
“you’re unbearable.”
“let’s be honest, you’re not doing this out of some imaginary debt to my dad. you wanna help me.”
“you think i’m doing this out of the kindness of my heart?”
“something like that.” he smirks. “come on, foxy, admit it, you like me.”
“do you actually have a business proposition, or did you invite me out here just so no one can hear my screams?”
he chuckles, “there's that charm i missed so much."
rejects rafe's business proposition because stealing form his own father is "the stupidest idea he's ever had after framing john b"
safe to say she's surprised when barry is actually able to steal the cross. and impressed that his plan worked but she would never tell him that
refuses to help rafe burn the cross of saint domingo and tells him she will never help him again if he does
rafe moves past her as he adds more covering to their makeshift furnace. “you know this high and mighty act of yours is getting real fucking old.” he gives her two piece suit a once-over, "you look good though. but next time i wouldn't wear that to this shithole, it screams "mug me."
"don't remember asking for fashion advice." she looks over his shoulder, meeting barry's eyes, "you okay with this?"
he raises his hands defensively, "i'm just tryna get paid."
“oh i'm sure. and let me guess you don't give a fuck who you hurt in the process?"
rafe grunts as he sets down another large scrap of metal. "you don't have to answer that barry."
"wasn't gonna." she looks between the two men appalled at their lack of care.
“i actually thought you changed.”
“so did i, but you're the same frigid bitch that walked around tanneyhill like it was yours".
barry frowns, "come on man."
"no she needs to hear this." he closes the distance, almost making her trip in her 4-inch pumps as she backs up. "still ungreatful, even after everything we’ve done for you."
"we? there was no 'we' rafe, it was all your father. he's the only one i owe anything to."
"yeah except you don't." he closes the distance between them. "still can't be honest even after months. can't say i'm surprised, the best lawyers can convince themselves of anything."
"tell me, when did you pick up this moral code was it before or after you quit? climb off that high horse of yours and be honest with yourself for once. you’re doing this for that pogue aren't you?”
there's a tingling sensation down her spine at the mention of pope. she knew. she knew that something was off all those times she gave those ragtag group of kids legal advice while in town. the feeling of eyes watching her that she dismissed as general anxiety from being in a public space, the sounds of camera clicks she reasoned as people taking picture of their surroundings, some sligthly moved office items she decided her assitant had forgot to move abck after using them. his total disregard for her privacy boils her blood.
"you've been fucking following me!?"
barry stands up from his seat. “woah."
rafe doesn't even look at her. "you think helping them out is gonna make them forgive you? forget everything you've done? you're the smartest person i know, don't be an idiot.”
her throat feels tight, as she wills herself not to cry over this stupid boy. “if you do this, we’re done.”
he stares her down, “there's no 'we'. remember?" he throws the lit match, setting the gold and its surorundings ablaze.
she doesn't stick around to watch his face glow under the fire's light.
tries her best to avoid rafe on the island and besides a few incidents she does. until ward's death which makes them find comfort in each other (as friends) and reconsider a business partnership

Why’d you write Sylus so crazy? You’re turning him into one of those booktok men and he’s anything BUT that. I just don’t get it :/
Hi anon! I know my yandere!Sylus story is disturbing. And while yes, I do take great pleasure in writing such topics such as kidnapping n such, I genuinely just wanted to write a dark Sylus fic exploring a different version of him where his desires and upbringing lead him to hurt even the people he loves. I love tragic characters and stories!
Think about if you watch a horror movie. You know murdering and killing is bad and yet you still watch it for entertainment, to see what happens!
By the way, this isn’t to argue or call you out anon, just hoping to shed some light on my perspective as the author. I love when people ask about my work, and I’m happy to answer regardless of the context! My ask box is always open if any of you have questions!
Below is a breakdown of some of the complexities I wanted to portray!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yandere!Sylus Breakdown
I envisioned him as a deeply complex character—not necessarily in his emotions, because yandere!Sylus always knows exactly what he wants—but in the way he rationalizes his actions and interprets his “wrongdoings.”
On the surface, his actions are undeniably wrong. Kidnapping a girl, forcing her into a life of isolation, and desiring to have children with her while keeping her away from everyone she’s ever loved is, by all moral standards, reprehensible. However, Yandere!Sylus doesn’t see it that way. To him, these actions are justifiable as long as they fulfill a purpose in his grand design.
He operates with a calculated mindset, never doing anything unless he believes it will ultimately benefit him, even if it means causing immense suffering. The fact that the reader might hate him only reinforces his resolve; he views it as a challenge, something to be overcome or “fixed” rather than a deterrent.
This doesn’t mean he doesn’t love reader, he does. But he is inherently selfish at his core since that was what was needed to survive. I intend to break this down further!
In yandere!Sylus’s twisted logic, he genuinely believes that if he can get the reader pregnant, she will inevitably develop a bond with the child. He sees this as a means to an end—a way to “tame” her, to anchor her to him emotionally.
He is convinced that motherhood will soften her resistance, leading her to accept the life he has meticulously crafted for them. To him, this is not just a strategy but a deeply held belief that love, however twisted, can be cultivated through shared ties, like the birth of a child.
This version of Sylus is driven by a yearning for the idealized version of happiness that society often romanticizes—the “big happy family” with “children running around” and a “loving wife.” It’s a vision that he clings to desperately, not because he understands it in the way most people do, but because he was denied such love and stability as a child.
Sylus grew up in a world where love was scarce and survival was paramount, as depicted in the original story. This lack of nurturing has warped his understanding of love and family, leading him to believe that these things can be engineered or forced into existence.
In blending elements of the original story into this version of Sylus and the reader, I wanted to show the core aspects of his character while exploring new dimensions of his psyche. However, I didn’t want it to be an exact replication, as the reader in this version isn’t the canonical main character from the original universe. Instead, she represents an alternative narrative where Sylus’s obsessions and desires manifest differently, yet still retain the disturbing intensity that defines his character! ^o^
All in all, if this story isn’t for you. Don’t read it please. I write for a certain demographic of people who enjoy twisted media. It’s fiction after all! No one is truly getting hurt. I hope this helps with your confusion anon!

I feel conflicted, I see everyone talking about how awful CD is but the times I've interacted with her before she switched names she seemed sweet.
You’re not alone in that.
A lot of people, even now, are still working through that dissonance: how can someone who once seemed kind, understanding, or even supportive be the same person who’s now the subject of so much criticism and hurt?
The truth is, that confusion is part of how Lily (CD) draws people in. It’s not just that she can seem sweet: sometimes, she genuinely is. Especially early on. Especially if you’re new, vulnerable, or trying to find your footing in her community. She knows how to be welcoming. She knows how to mirror your values and speak your language. She’s clever, and emotionally perceptive enough to know what people want to hear when they first show up. And when she’s not actively on the defensive or in a foul mood, she can come across as thoughtful or insightful, because that’s part of the persona that originally made people gravitate to her.
But the important thing to realize is that those early positive moments don’t cancel out the pattern of harm she’s caused over time. A manipulative or harmful person doesn’t have to be cruel all the time to still be damaging. In fact, inconsistency is one of the strongest psychological hooks. It keeps people off-balance. You start to wonder, “Did I do something wrong? Am I just imagining the bad stuff?” You cling to the good memories because they feel more real, more comforting, and it’s painful to reconcile them with what comes later.
Lily also benefits from being particularly good at making you feel like one of the “smart ones,” the “good ones,” the people who get her. That sense of exclusivity, of being on the inside of something others “don’t understand”, can be incredibly validating, especially if you’ve ever felt unheard or dismissed in other spaces. It makes it even harder to believe you could be misreading things or that she’s acting in bad faith. But eventually, the mask slips. Maybe she snaps at you. Maybe you watch her do it to someone else. Maybe you notice how your discomfort keeps getting minimized, and how hard it is to express criticism without backlash.
It’s okay to have been drawn in. It’s okay to have believed the best in someone. That doesn’t make you naive or complicit. It makes you human. Lily’s behavior is calculated to pull people in and then gradually reshape how they interpret her actions, and that’s why so many people feel this exact conflict when they start to see her more clearly.
What matters isn’t whether you once saw her as sweet. What matters is what you do with the fuller picture now, and how you choose to support others who’ve been through the same thing. It’s not your fault for getting pulled in. But it is a sign of strength and empathy to step back and question.

Maybe I don't follow other fandoms as much as I follow Kuroshitsuji fandom and maybe it's just me but why is this fandom so toxic? Why is this fandom so fixated on their theories and assumptions so much to the point where they try to shove their opinions as facts down to other people's throats even though it's definitely not canon? Reading the manga and interpreting everything in your own way and coming up with theories and sharing them is wonderful. Nobody's stopping anybody from doing that and many theories are quite helpful and gives every readers a broader perspective. I definitely appreciate the people who works so hard to put 2 and 2 together and realized that there are twins even before it was officially revealed. We need that type of intelligent and observant people in every fandom since it provides so much insight and knowledge.
But then there are those who try to spread misinformation and assumptions as real facts and others are just eating it all without being bothered to do their own research. And I could give so many examples. Starting from how Yana said that Kuro is supposed to be yaoi but that won't sell much, then how SebaCiel or Lizzy x Ciel or Sullivan x Ciel ship is canon, then how Sebastian took Vincent's looks so that Ciel trusts him more (despite Yana clearly addressing the "same face syndrome"), then how OCiel hates Lizzie and is just keeping up with her just because he's forced to even though it's him who decided to play the fiance part (I'm pretty sure that if he refused to carry it out after coming back from that hellhole, even whilst pretending to be Ciel, then maybe nobody would be actually forcing him to do that), then how everybody hated OCiel for being sick and only loved Real Ciel, then how Real Ciel was evil even before dying or how he's so bad with servants even though none of those servants were his (except Tanaka) and the only thing he told them was to shut up or lower their voice in front of the master of the house. That's just it. Also where did he treat Sebastian badly, not like I would have cared anyway but the question still remains? He just asked him that how dare he play with his dead body and disrespect him. Who wouldn't even ask that if they came back from the dead? Who would be even as calm and collected as Ciel? Most would be quite angry and lose their shit if they are standing in front of a being that disrespected their dead body.
The yaoi part isn't even a theory but a rather lame rumor and I would say that all these other ones are also quite bad takes and barely theories. You need to provide some solid evidence and connections in order to make a valid, well thought-out theory and none of these rumors/theories have that to suggest anything (Theories about the ships and relations can make sense and can be entertaining then Real Ciel being evil or at least being related to the manor attack is the only well thought-out theory here but again, I have no intention of talking shit about good/average/bad/ridiculous theories here and theories can be good or bad, but I'm just talking about those who claim certain things as facts and not just theories but don't even have evidence to back that up). Many just read certain theories, take their favorite parts from a certain theory, run with it and pretend as if they themselves came up with that shit and treat that as facts. How delusional. Also, what a shame that it's been years yet people still believe these liars and these liars are still spreading such misinformation and still clinging on to their delusions despite others proving them wrong over and over.

BRF Reading - 21st of March, 2024
This is speculation only
Cards drawn on the 21st of March, 2024
Question: Why is Harry still on the royal website?
Tumblr media
Interpretation: Because The King refuses to have him removed.
Card One: The Emperor in reverse
The Emperor represents The King, so this card is talking about King Charles.
In the reverse, the Emperor energy is stubborn, rigid, and domineering. It can also represent a tyrant. I don't think that King Charles is a tyrant, but I do feel that he is being stubborn and insisting that Harry stay on the royal website 'because he is my son'. The energy of this card is very rigid. It is the energy of someone who is insisting on having things his own way no matter what the cost.
The Emperor in reverse is the Emperor person acting out of their shadow side or their worst side. In this case, it is King Charles who is acting out of his worst side. The energy here is of someone who is very spoilt, who is used to getting their own way in everything, and they are tired and cranky and unwilling to consider doing anything that is not exactly what they want. If they were a two year old I would be expecting tantrums and early bedtime, but this is a 75 year old man we are talking about.
This is the first time I have seen a similarity between the King's energy and Harry's energy. The energy this card is giving me is a more refined version of Harry's usual petulant, sulky, spoilt brat energy.
Card Two: The Sun
The Sun is a card of optimism, warmth, positivity, success, believing that everything will be all right in the end. It can also be a card for children.
This card is giving me golden child energy. There is no other way to describe it. The energy is of a child who can do no wrong, who will always be protected, pampered and adored, and who will always be cosseted by his parent. This tells me that Harry is the golden child of King Charles and that the King will do whatever he can to cosset, protect, and smooth the path of his favourite child. This reflects the picture on the card, of the god Apollo, who was the favourite son of the chief god Zeus.
In answer the the question, this card tells me that Harry is the favourite child of King Charles and The King is not removing his favourite son from the royal website. I sense that it was a struggle to get Harry in the last position on the page, as The King wanted him right under Prince William, and only other people insisting on having all the working royals first, and all the royals on the page in rank order, prevented this from happening. So having Harry on the page was a compromise to prevent him being listed under Prince William (I could be wrong about this, but there is definitely an energy of being elevated above all others coming from this card).
Card Three: The Wheel of Fortune in Reverse
This card is about your current position and whether you are rising or falling in esteem. In the reverse, it says that your fortunes are falling, you are declining in esteem, you have no control or are clinging to control, and you face unwelcome changes.
Harry has obviously fallen in public esteem, so this card applies to him - he is not favoured by the public and as per his actions there is no reason to favour him by having him on the website or any higher on the website.
The energy of this cardis of someone facing unwelcome changes. I think this refers to King Charles, who is not happy about Harry being last on the website page. I think he may have had to compromise to keep Harry on the page at all, as per the energy of the previous card.
The reversal of fortune energy of this card could be an argument that was used to have The King agree to have Harry in the bottom position on the webpage - that to have him any higher would outrage the general public, who (quite rightly) have no good opinion of Harry after everything he has done, and the BRF can not afford the hit to their reputation if this happens.
Card Four: The King of Cups in Reverse
The King of Cups is a card that represents Scorpio, and in this reading it represents King Charles, a sun sign Scorpio. It represents King Charles as a person, not in his role as King.
The card being in reverse tells me that King Charles is very unhappy about the changes to the royal website with respect to Harry, not just as a king (the Emperor card in reverse) but also as a person. There are waves of unhappiness coming off this card. King Charles did not get his own way with respect to Harry and he is very upset about it.
The card in reverse also tells me that King Charles as-a-person is operating out of his shadow side in this matter. With the King of Cups reversed that means someone who is selfish, emotionally manipulative, over-emotional, making decisions with the heart and not the head, moody, volatile emotionally, and seeking vengeance on all who he sees as wronging him.
I expect repercussions from the decision to put Harry at the bottom of the page (and not return him to under Prince William). The King will be looking for someone to blame and possibly to punish that person in some way for not allowing his darling boy to be in his rightful place as a prince and son of the king.
Underlying Energy: The Five of Swords.
This is my card for duty. As a general card, it is a card of not being able to win for losing, of arguments, aggression, bullying, conflict, hostility, and stress.
This card tells me two things: Firstly, that an argument about duty was used to keep Harry on the website (maybe something like "He is my son and it is my duty as a father to have my sons on the website"). Secondly, that the decision to keep Harry on the website caused a lot of arguments, that The King got his way by 'pulling rank' or something similar, and that this has caused a lot of hostility from his advisors and perhaps other members of the BRF. The King has won the battle to keep Harry on the website, albeit in a compromise position (possibly), but his behaviour during the conflicts that arose has alienated some of his supporters and advisors. The end result was not worth the hurt feelings involved, and everyone can see this except The King.
Conclusion:
Harry has been kept on the website because The King wants him there. The King is not concerned about how this will appear to the general public, he wants his favourite son on the royal website and that is what happened. The King's insistence on this and his method of winning the arguments over this (riding roughshod over everyone) has caused a lot of hostility among his advisors and supporters.
There are suggestions in the energy that Harry's position on the page is a compromise and the King wanted him under Prince William. If this is the case, then The King is very hurt because he didn't get what he wanted, he is brooding over it (?sulking?), and he is looking for someone to blame and punish in some way.
In this reading The King was acting out of his shadow energy, his worse side, both in his role as King and as a person/parent. He came across as overly emotional, emotionally manipulative, almost a bully (pulling rank to get his own way), stubborn, rigid, and domineering. His energy was of a spoilt brat sulking because they didn't get exactly what they wanted, and very close to throwing a tantrum to get it. It is the first time I have seen the same energy in The King and his son Harry.

Yandere Iscream and Yandere Fwench Fwy w/ their biological child
Iscream x Reader x Fwench Fwy
Yandere Headcanons
Short Concept
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Author’s note: This request is adorable!! These two would dedicate their lives and potentially end the literal world for a youngling of their own.
Iscream/Reader/Fwench Fwy [Platonic]
[Gender-neutral Darling|Female Darling|Male Darling]
Potential ⚠️TWs⚠️ :
Toxic parenting • Vulnerable/Easily influenced reader • Blood rituals mentioned • Forcing the child within morally questionable interests • Childishness/Narcissism(?) • Tantrums • Bloodthirst • Violent intrusive thoughts • Sweetie, you ain't gonna be raised good
- Iscream:
I personally interpret Iscream as much more clingy and hungry for attention as a yandere. They'd honestly behave too much like an attention seeking child themselves to give you the proper care for growing up in a healthy environment. A creature so desperate for attention and affection would cling to anyone who would offer it. Children are often known to be selfish and will often choose their own profit instead of looking out for those around them. And Iscream is no different here. They'll still care deeply for you of course, but they're just not capable of holding the role of a good parental figure, which is where things can go wrong fast.
A big problem regarding Iscream is that they prioritise their sense of validation more than caring for you like a proper, responsible adult. Just tagging you along to do activities they deem as exciting and mind-blowing enough for their liking, which would obviously be a huge ride of entertainment for a literal child... And though it might keep your adventure-craving mind entertained and happy, it isn't a very suitable way to be raising a child. They're prioritising having the role as the "fun parent" over what's actually good for you and your development. Their behaviour having a major influence on your sense of thoughts, maturity and eventual mentality. Which, though remotely enjoyable during your youthful days, is something that could really, negatively affect you in the long run.
Due to the fact that the schemes they plan and the morally concerning interests they have aren't really supported among the other characters, Iscream is quick to try and get influential with the strange things they enjoy doing. Therefore forcing their inappropriate hobbies onto you, who of course, doesn't know any better due to being so young and vulnerable. You wouldn't know any better and would likely deem a bunch of demon rituals and blood offerings as normal, even when it's clearly not. Something which may also come off as surprising is the fact that they are more laid-back regarding violence and overprotection than Fwench Fwy is. Although demon rituals are occasionally used excuse-wise to keep those around you obedient with the threatening blackmail, Iscream is a lot more hands off while their partner is more overbearing and involved in the emotional aspect of their child's life.
Because they'd be so desperate to come off as a good "role model" for their child, this would usually result in them dragging you along with some rather questionable activities, revealing sights to you that a newborn absolutely shouldn't be exposed to at such a young age. They would want you to feel impressed by what they're showing off to you and either gain praise or showcase interest for it. Something when not provided, is quick to put Iscream in a homicidal mood for a while or sometimes cause a tantrum.
A habit which I believe is easily capable of making a literal child feel guilty, afraid and misunderstood. You wouldn't even have the ability to slowly develop an identity of your own. Because Iscream would love to see your personality match their own, as selfish and narcissistic as that sounds. I've mentioned it before and I'll say it again, but somebody with an irresponsible and childish mentality doesn't have the qualities to care for a kid. They may be talented when it comes to entertaining you through physical activities and such, but they absolutely cannot be considered attentive to your emotional needs. Iscream cannot see and is not ready to accept that you aren't an extension of them. Failing to see that you're your own individual with separate feelings from theirs, and who will eventually grow up to be independent. Hereby struggling to be genuinely supportive.
- Fwench Fwy:
Fwenchie here is a bit more complicated than their partner is ...not only do they have a reputation to uphold among those they consider their friends. But they're also known to be an inspirational and wise figure to the others, a role Fwench Fwy takes pride in and something they don't want to risk losing. As soon as you made your appearance in the dragon's life, they were over the moon. They would take no hesitation in taking responsibility for you and caring for you like a real parent would. And they are definitely somewhat clingy and overbearing with it, constantly close to you and watching you, asking if you need your ‘mommy’ to do something for you. Trying to guide you through life by holding you by the hand.
And from an outside perspective, they genuinely seem like a good parent to you. Maybe a bit much sometime, but still holds good intentions nonetheless ...right? But when paying good attention, you'll start to notice just how consistent they are with it. Despite now also holding the role as a very nurturing parent, there's definitely a flaw that's quick upon being noticed when it comes to Fwench Fwy. Something that also includes the wish granting and isn't something the other characters would often consider to talk about or see it as strange.
Throughout Fwenchie's time with the others, they've been known to be quite casual with their powers, not having a lot of limitations with them... And only an occasional rejection being given when asked for a wish, often for thoughtful and somewhat understandable reasons. The same would of course count for you. You get your wishes when you ask for them, nothing too out of the ordinary here. But where the difference sets in with just how careless Fwench Fwy behaves with it...
Children are often known to get excited and reckless when their offerings are limitless. And when actively being spoiled just like that, it would only get harder to make them stop asking for more. In which, you are no different. And yet, Fwench Fwy allows all of it to just happen, giving in to any request you gave no matter how dangerous it might be to any mortals or even reality itself. Fwenchie has always been known to be quite a people pleaser, but they put zero restraints on you and expect no restrictions whatsoever. Shrugging the concerns of their peers off by saying they'll be able to handle trouble if it gets out of hand. But the damage would be far beyond recognition before they do so.
The thing about Frenchie is that they're desperate to appear behaved. They've always valued blending in and their bond with Chikn and the others a lot... so why? Why is their interest and respect for the group faltering? Why do they not care as much about them or their safeties anymore? Fwench Fwy has never stood to violence, they've never believed that aggression and vengeance was the right solution. So why do these hostile thoughts and animalistic instincts kick in whenever they notice you speaking to one of their morals allies? Why did they gain this thirst for violence...? It's something they're desperate to ignore and not own up to.
Fwench Fwy is also quick to get defensive whenever their strangely possessive nature towards you is brought up. They'll mainly try to avoid the topic by manipulating the conversation. But when confronted anyway, they try and assure the things they've done by giving these half-assed explanations on how dragons are known to be protective and care deeply for their spawn and will do anything to keep them satisfied. Yet completely disregarding the fact that spoiling them rotten to a point their offspring may become demanding and sometimes even difficult to deal with. In Fwenchie's eyes, it's something too insignificant to bring up.
But somewhere deep inside, they know they're just as mentally ill and deranged as Iscream is, if not even more so. Because unlike Iscream, Fwench Fwy just manages to cover it up. They're not as direct with the way they feel and are quick to hide their severe emotions behind a once trusting smile. Their obsession is just not something they want to admit to their sweet child or anyone for that matter. All they would do would be to try to convince themselves otherwise, and all of it will be fine. And in a way... Fwenchie is also fixated on the idea of feeling possessive over you. Something the others have certainly questioned on more than one occasion.
Resulting in either giving advice on how to behave more appropriately or offering them somebody to talk to in the meantime. Offerings Fwenchie has always rejected... because despite knowing it's wrong and so, SO toxic. They do not want to recover from their unhealthy condition. Realistically speaking, they know damn well about their obsession with their child, but they want to keep the toxic mentality. And you know what they say, you cannot help somebody who doesn't want to be helped. Iscream and Fwench Fwy are both no better than the other claims to be and will not hesitate to cause destruction and even warp reality for the sake of their little angel's amusement.
They're both just creating a freakshow for you to enjoy and anybody else has to pay the price for it.

portrayal notes: luo binghe
a collection of short snippets pertaining to my particular interpretation of Luo Binghe from SVSSS. list is subject to change and be updated periodically
as i've mentioned in previous posts, I write the version of Luo Binghe you see in Proud Immortal Demon Way. the arrogant && cruel Emperor with a harem of wives spanning in the hundreds. he's the man that Shen Yuan was a fan of throughout the entire novel.
it's possible that throughout the events of Scum Villian, this version of Luo Binghe did not exist until the system 'created' him as a measure to mete out punishment to Shen Qingqiu for losing all of his B Points. which means that Shen Qingqiu might just be responsible for the accidental creation and implementation of an alternate dimension that is Proud Immortal Demon Way. there's no telling if this was the case or not, but per my interpretation, i like to think that the original story didn't have it's own universe until Shen Qingqiu fucked up so badly it created the violent version of Luo Binghe to teach him a lesson
this version of Luo Binghe is charismatic and easy to get along with, especially if you are a woman ( he has a soft spot for them ) but his patience is thin when it comes to being tested. yes, i do think Luo Binghe enjoys the act of killing ( there was no denying he thoroughly reveled in the deaths of all those he believed wronged him ) but i do not believe he kills without purpose. if someone dies, it's never just on a whim or 'for fun', there is always a reason behind it.
though he is charismatic and charming, Luo Binghe is also permanently damaged due to the abuse he suffered from his fellow sect mates, as well as his own master. he does an excellent job of hiding it for the most part, but he has PTSD and struggles with hallucinations / night terrors brought on by said trauma.
his demonic sword Xin Mo is also heavily to blame for this as well; it's influence and attempts to conquer his mind exacerbating the already weakened parts of him. he's done a good job of keeping control on the weapon, but there may come a time when he is no longer able to do so
Luo Binghe has what is called 'the invincible protagonist's halo', which was written into his story by Shang Qinghua ( author of Proud Immortal Demon Way ), making him immune to death, and causing his enemies to become 'dumb' and 'easy to defeat' when faced against him. i won't be enforcing this on your character in interactions without your permission, but you do have to respect that he is immune to death nevertheless.
this doesn't mean he's immortal though. in fact, in my mind, Luo Binghe is very much mortal in spite of his heavenly demon blood, and will only live to be around maybe 200. in the present timeline, he's in his early 50s.
Luo Binghe has a number of special talents unique to himself, but one of the most prominent is his ability to control the dreamscape. he can willingly enter the dreams of others and even torment them through visions of their past, or worst memories. this was a skill he acquired from the demon Meng Mo who took him under his wing at a fairly young age and passed on his powers so he would have a host to cling to when he got too weak to maintain his form. they have a parasitic relationship with one another but it works out well in both of their favours.
he might seem like he has everything someone could ever want but it's also heavily hinted at that Luo Binghe is dissatisfied with it all. it's even mentioned in the novel that after taking his teacher's life -- arguably the worst offender for all the crimes committed against him -- rather than feeling complete, Luo Binghe still felt... unhappy. as if the revenge wasn't enough to remove the burden of his memories from his shoulders.
it's also hinted at in the novel that Luo Binghe is destined to 'one day fade away into obscurity, alone and forgotten.' as if all of his accomplishments meant nothing, and he was unable to escape the hollowness in his heart.
he does not trust easily and is extremely paranoid. it's difficult to get close to hi m, and even a number of his wives struggle to get anything beyond sex out of him. he is emotionally closed off from everyone and everything, and becomes doubly so once his cycle of revenge is complete.
i do very much think he loves his wives -- or did, at one point. he may not have had a deep connection with a good portion of them, but for those he was closest to ( Liu Mingyan, Sha Hualing, Ning YingYing ), he definitely loved them, even if that love may have faded in time. it was of no fault to those women that he fell out of love. the fault rest entirely in the instability of his mind and his inability to escape the past that haunted him.
i headcanon Luo Binghe to have thick brown curly hair which he often keeps half-tied up in a pony tail.
he takes great pride in his appearance and has a rather excessive grooming routine that he goes through each and every day. he smells very good and only uses the most expensive products when cleaning himself.
while Luo Binghe is very much a flirt, your muse does not have to reciprocate his advances. he's a charmer, and he's definitely accustomed to people tripping over themselves to sleep with him, but a little rejection now and then would do him some good i think. that ego of his needs a little popping ( but if your muse is into the type of guy he is, then by all means ).
also lmao this is completely self-indulgent and i'm NOT sorry but for a dude who conquered all three realms, i headcanon Luo Binghe as bisexual. and while he doesn't sleep with men as openly as he does with women, i definitely think he has his own little harem of twinks that he indulges in. he loves his ladies to be sure, but he also loves his twinks and isn't ashamed.
speaking of all three realms, that's an important point to mention but Luo Binghe is the emperor of all three realms ( heaven, earth, hell ) which he forcibly combined using Xin Mo by splitting apart the spaces separating the three, and then glueing them together as one. this is just one of many examples of how terrifyingly strong Luo Binghe actually is. he's a prodigy with many talents in both immortal and demonic cultivation.
he does still carry his original sword Zheng Yang with him, but tends to use it very rarely, if at all.

The part where Marin tries to wake the Wind Fish is probably my favourite part in the entirety of Link's Awakening for how effectively it plays into the overarching themes and message of the story, utilizing Marin's character.
Marin tries to wake the Wind Fish because she believes this might make her wish come true. This is not interpretation, this is text. Earlier in the game, Marin states directly: "They say the 'Balled of the Wind Fish' is a song of awakening. I wonder, if the Wind Fish wakes up, will he make my wish come true?"* We also know what she wished for because of this piece of dialogue during the beach scene: "If I was a sea gull, I would fly as far as I could! I would fly to far away places and sing for many people! ...If I wish to the Wind Fish, I wonder if my dream will come true..." Although Marin refuses to tell us what her wish to the Wind Fish was, this piece of dialogue also makes that abundantly clear. Marin believes that waking the Wind Fish will allow her to fly to many places and sing to many people, like a seagull.
And she is not wrong! If you get the secret ending (obtained by not dying during the game), you see a vision of Marin change into a seagull after the Wind Fish wakes. Marin's attempt at waking the Wind Fish and her repeated assertions that waking the Wind Fish might grant her wish is, in part, clever foreshadowing for this secret ending. This is clearly part of its function.
But another, arguably more important aspect of Marin's attempt to wake the Wind Fish is that it serves as a kind of dramatic irony for the player, regardless of whether they know about the secret ending or have even finished the game: at the point of the game where Marin tries to wake the Wind Fish, you, the player, have already had Koholint's Big Secret revealed to you. Marin, on the other hand, is entirely ignorant. We know that waking the Wind Fish would make Koholint vanish, but Marin doesn't.
An isolated, surface-level reading of the situation is as follows: Marin, in her naiveté, is attempting to accomplish something that would doom her. This reading is, to a certain degree, understandable: Koholint's transient nature, and its inevitable end, is certainly sad. We can wonder whether Marin, knowing the full extent of the consequences, would have still wanted to wake the Wind Fish. That was her home, after all, and while she would like to explore the great wide somewhere, she might have been less eager to if she understood that this is only possible if her home did not exist anymore.
But ultimately, this reading is shallow and does not engage with the explicit themes present all throughout Link's Awakening. While Koholint's inevitable end is sad, yes, it is also ultimately not a tragedy. The Nightmares in the world have the aim of controlling the dream and, to accomplish it, are prolonging it unnaturally. The only people who ever protest your quest to wake the Wind Fish are those same monsters, the obvious bad guys of the story. In the end, after the Wind Fish has woken up and Koholint has vanished, we leave on a shot of Link watching the Wind Fish fly off, smiling. It is the nature of dreams to end: all throughout the game, this is made abundantly clear, spelled out in the Wind Fish's final speech, and crucially: this is not a bad thing. The bad thing is forcibly prolonging a dream, clinging to it and refusing to move past it, as the Nightmares were doing.
Engaging with the game's themes, the cynical reading holds no water. Koholint's end is no doom; its doom would be existence in perpetuity, especially if ruled by the Nightmares, as would be inevitable (they are the ones keeping the Wind Fish asleep, after all). By attempting to wake the Wind Fish, Marin is not dooming herself. In addition to all of the above, again: there is an ending where she does have her wish come true, if the Wind Fish wakes. She was correct.
So what, then, is the purpose behind this scene? If not the dramatic irony of unwittingly working towards your own doom, what does it want us to take from it?
Marin is an interesting character on Koholint. While its other residents routinely and consistently fail to comprehend even the general idea of a world beyond this island (as shown by dialogue such as "Dude! You're asking me when we started to live on this island? What do you mean by 'when?' Whoa! The concept just makes my head hurt!" by the children in Mabe Village), Marin asks questions. She's restless, as evidenced by her frequent visits to the beach, her need to know about the world beyond Koholint, and, of course, her attempt to wake the Wind Fish. Why is Marin capable of these questions, whereas most of the other residents are at best unconcerned with the outside world or, at worst, incapable of even thinking about it?
It is up to interpretation, but I posit: for the same reason the Owl is. More or less, anyway.
The Owl is perhaps the strangest part of the dream, not just more aware than the other residents, but more aware than you, as well. It acts as your guide, purposefully so; it references being 'instructed' to help you ("I was instructed to give you directions... Your next goal is north, in Goponga Swamp!!"). The reason for this becomes clear during the ending sequence, where the Owl reveals: "As part of the Wind Fish's spirit, I am the guardian of his dream world." The Owl has a much more direct connection to the Wind Fish than the other residents, which makes sense; as the dream world's guardian, it would have to be aware of its nature and its mechanics in a way none of the other residents would be.
'As part of the Wind Fish's spirit' is interesting; the most literal way to interpret this is the literal one, where the Owl is a part of the Wind Fish's spirit in a way most everyone else on the island isn't. This is supported by the mural you find in the ancient ruins that tells you Koholint's secret, which depicts the Owl immediately alongside the Wind Fish.
But it is important to note that all of Koholint is a part of the Wind Fish; its dream, if nothing else. While the Owl obviously has a different role and greater connection to the Wind Fish than the other residents, it is not unfair to assume Koholint's residents all reflect parts of the Wind Fish, as dreams often reflect parts of ourselves, as well.
The Wind Fish is being forced into a slumber for much longer than is natural by the Nightmares. Repeatedly, the Owl references the Wind Fish growing restless as you get closer and closer to waking it. Before entering the seventh dungeon, the Owl states, directly: "Go! The Wind Fish grows restless!" Upon exiting the seventh dungeon, you can find Marin on the bridge, after having attempted to wake the Wind Fish.
I say the reason Marin tried to wake the Wind Fish, as a matter of fact, the reason she wanted to leave Koholint at all, is a reflection of the Wind Fish's desires to do the same. Her role in the dream is to reflect the Wind Fish's restlessness; or perhaps, that's a fancy way of saying that this is one of her main thematic purposes in the game.
Marin is Koholint's personification. Not necessarily in-universe, but for the purposes of gameplay. It is harder for the average player to get attached to the whole of an island than it is to get attached to a singular girl, who is opinionated and likeable, with a strong personality and hopes and dreams. Without Marin, Koholint's inevitable fading would have much less emotional impact, as Marin shows us that Koholint's residents are people, and provides a microcosm of the island as a whole for us to get attached to. Marin is, effectively, Koholint's representative to the player.
As such, Marin mirrors Koholint in many ways: sweet but mischievous, a bit weird but lovingly so; her name is literally 'Marin', meaning 'marine' in at least French and probably Spanish (I don't speak Spanish and only a little bit of French) and it's one letter off in English as well. When Marin tells you not to forget her at the end of the game, this is connected to the Wind Fish's declaration at the very end, that Koholint will now only exist in memory. This demand to remember her not just meant to be taken literally; it's also meant to be taken as a declaration by the game to remember Koholint.
As such: Marin's restlessness are intended to be reflective of both Koholint and the Wind Fish. Her desire to leave the island and fly away is the Wind Fish's, and therefore, Koholint's, as Koholint is a part of the Wind Fish. The purpose of having Marin try to wake the Wind Fish is to signal to the player that the island wants to wake up; the island's representative made an attempt, and the Nightmares' monsters punished her for it. She needs you to help rescue her, like you need to rescue the island.
Having Marin attempt to wake the Wind Fish is one of the strongest moments of writing in Link's Awakening, showcasing the story's themes and overarching message in an interesting way that adds a lot of character to Marin as well and I'm very, very normal about it.
*All quoted dialogue in this post is taken from the Link's Awakening DX script on gamefaqs, which I would truly love to hyperlink in this sentence but Tumblr is refusing to let me, so it can be found here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/gbc/197769-the-legend-of-zelda-links-awakening-dx/faqs/38914.

I like your thoughts and interpretations a lot, so I wanted to ask, how can I write Homelander x reader (or anyone) and make it not feel like he’s being put out of his comfort zone or doing something just as a way of coping? It sounds silly but I’ve having thoughts on it and besides having a lot of consent checks and stuff I’m not sure how else to do it. I’m probably overthinking but I thought I’d ask since you write and seem to have good insight on characterization and consent
The thing with this is that you actually have a lot of control over this as the author in subtle and obvious ways (took me a while to answer this  just because there’s a lot, lol).  So much so that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what may or may not make something feel consensual in your writing.  There’s not really one particular thing that achieves this, you know?  It could be anything from comfort/safety with the person you’re pairing him with, to consent checks (these are just as effective!), to his own enthusiasm in the scene.  I’m gonna talk about smut writings below the cut, so warning for ns/f/w below:
To start, I’m hoping you’re asking this in regards to smut, otherwise I’m just info dumping on smut writing lol.  Consent and boundaries can exist for much more than sex, so apologies if I’m getting this wrong.
If you’re looking to go heavy on a show-don’t-tell way of showing consent and comfort from Homie, think about how he reacts to certain things.  Does he lean into their touch?  Does he shake with need, or is it actually anxiety?  <- This in particular is one that might require a smidge of telling, though your descriptions of him in the scene can indicate the difference too.  Does he touch/cling to them, or try to confine himself to his own sort of space as if to keep away?  A lot can be told just in the way he reacts physically.
Doing perspective from his pov can also help a ton.  Is he excited by what’s going on?  How’s his internal monologue sounding?  His emotional state?  Fics from his pov can help with being more open about how he feels and you don’t have to pingpong as much between characters.  Readers are generally understood to be consenting (unless otherwise specified) since those types of works are self indulgent, so the focus doesn’t necessarily have to be on both but certainly can be if you’d like!
‘Telling,’ or just having verbal consent checks (can be nonverbal too!) is still very effective, and is something I’ve done in my own fics before.  That, and the stuff above (and stuff I might have missed) are all really good ways to do it.
I’m going to talk about how I write him with my OC (and, to be fair, readers as I just picture the reader as my OC anyway when I write those types, lol).  With Ben, it's interesting to write smut for Homelander.  The whole shtick with them is that Ben is literally just some guy Homie threatened into joining The Seven that ended up bonding with him and forming a relationship.  The beauty of that is that this establishes a baseline of comfort and safety with one another (as a general rule, this baseline can be understood in fics without much or any backstory in a lot of cases).
In one of my side fics, I have Ben stop Homelander from initiating sex, and even kissing (pre-relationship, for context) because he recognizes that Homelander is trying to bury his grief with it and doesn’t want to take advantage of him while he’s in such a tender state.  But that scene was written with the understanding that Homelander was trying to do that, and his paired character recognized it.  Again, this is something that you have incredible control of as the writer.
With my Ben x Homie fic “Touch,” I actually have it start with Ben asking if he can touch Homie.  I focused that fic from Homie’s pov and have him ramble some internal thoughts about “duh, we’re dating,” which I did to sort of toy with Homelander’s concepts of explicit vs implicit consent.  Ben asks for explicit consent, but Homelander believed it was already implicitly there.  As a man who has likely never genuinely been asked that question (or at least not in good faith/have it be ignored after), it felt very right to have Ben ask him that.  Throughout the fic, Homelander seeks more and more contact with his body, which I felt shows his eagerness and desire to continue.
When things are a little more wild, such as with the fic where he’s tongue-blasting Ben’s wrist spinnerets, I wrote from Homie’s pov again to establish that it was his freaky-deaky playful nature that led to him thumbing at Ben’s wrists, gauging the physical response, and getting more and more into it.
Writing him as submissive or bottoming is when I rely heavily on physical queues as well as verbal.  If he’s seeking more on his own accord while trying to follow any rules, this shows his eagerness.  Gasps, moans, and glassy eyes searching for reassurance (that find it readily) are good physical indicators.  And here I think consent checks would be excellent!  Given what we know about him, his abuse by authority figures, and his struggle with power dynamics, it’s not at all inappropriate or out of place for his partner to ask if he’s okay, if he wants to continue, etc while he’s in an especially vulnerable state- especially if his partner also knows about these things.  I think he would actually really really appreciate this.
Want to tie it all together with making sure he’s comfortable?  After care.  Holy moly, after care!!!  After care is under utilized imo, but it’s a wonderful way to have your characters talk afterward and explore how they feel.  Maybe one takes care of the other, helps them clean up, preps a bath and dotes on them (or they mutually dote) while they share the tub.  Maybe it’s just pillow talk.  But it’s very special and can really add that layer of comfort.
Like I said, there's a ton of ways you can do this. Just do what feels right, you know?
I don’t know if this answered everything thoroughly, but please shoot me another ask if I missed anything!  I appreciate you a ton for thinking of me and your kind words about my interpretations <3

realizing after writing this post that i forgot! to talk about! scott's "dying of natural causes" thing! right, mind the cut, i like talking a lot.
particularly annoyed i forgot to bring this up because i do think it's another instance of [characters saying things that are more telling about their relationships and characterization than about the world itself] and i want to pick it apart a bit even if it amounts to nothing new at the end. the thing scott says specifically is, after sparrow declares himself a sculk hybrid, "are you though? like, you made yourself this, right? [...] i became a lightmancer because i died of natural causes and then came back as it [...]"
"right," i said immediately to myself when i was first watching. "the extremely natural cause of a lava trap that someone put down around fwhip's waystone. very natural."
it's kind of bullshit, right? how do you differentiate between scott's "natural cause" and being cut in half or drilled open or having your circuits flooded with water? what, if you put a cage around yourself it doesn't count anymore? i don't think there's any meaningful physical difference between the ways sparrow died and the ways other people on the server have died, and even if there's some metaphysical thing going on here about the intent one has going into their death, i don't think scott has any more a clue how this whole "die and you're a new hybrid" works than anyone else. sparrow asked, way back when they first met, how it happened, scott didn't have an answer, and he seems like the sort with better things to do than investigate or be bothered by that.
regardless, i think the question of whether scott is stating something actually true about the world is maybe the least interesting part of what he's saying here. i willing to believe that this is something he believes is true! i also believe it is way more interesting to consider this from the angle of... how it's pushing all of sparrow's Wild Insecurity buttons? sparrow has shown himself multiple times to be really touchy about how much worth he has as a person/hybrid. i don't think scott is bumping up against that stuff deliberately, but he is bumping into it, and i can imagine how it hurts.
from the moment he decides to visit scott and through that whole long and terrible journey, sparrow is clinging so tight to the belief that scott will know what to do, scott can help him, scott is his friend and will explain what's going on and make things okay. sparrow's bewildered at being a million blocks away from home, and hungry, and terrified at realizing what he might be able and willing to do to others. he's utterly alone. it sucks! he's having a bad time! and then he makes it to scott's place, propelled by the hope that his friend will help him, and there's scott, who is looking at him funny and saying things like that?
well. like i said, i don't think scott is pushing sparrow's buttons on purpose. but he's also not helping. he is in fact digging into the insecurities and fears sparrow's been struggling with this whole time, and he's removed the sculk sparrow left, and he's a whole new guy who doesn't seem to want to visit or assist or understand sparrow's situation at all. sparrow built scott up so much in his head, and now that scott's actually here and behaving, yeah, like a concerned friend, but a concerned friend who has no idea what the fuck sparrow's going through, it's so easy to feel betrayed by that, isn't it? scott, especially when he's talking about the sculk he removed, keeps saying things that sparrow interprets as, like, no one wants to visit you, you're not a real hybrid, you should just stay down in the deep dark. etc. and scott's not saying those things, if anything he's just trying to have a conversation with his friend, but you can see how things start cracking apart, right? how it's that thing that happens all the time, where people say just slightly the wrong thing and it strikes a nerve they didn't even know was there, and no one mentions it but the pressure keeps building until one person snaps at another and it becomes a whole argument that itself becomes an awful, miserable fight and then it just-- doesn't get better, after?
and it's upsetting from scott's perspective too! consider: your friend shows up on your doorstep and is visibly having a bad time. you want to help and catch up -- he is your friend. something's happening to him that he doesn't understand, and he's evidently turning to you for support; you try talking to him about it. but he's irritable too, getting worked up about things you say and do for reasons you can't quite grasp, and you'd like to try making sense of the situation with him, like, hey, i see you're struggling with this thing we have in common, here's a way we're different, maybe that's what's causing your problems, and maybe because you're confused and kind of nervous and your friend is being weirdly aggro at you and you're not actually a saint, it takes on a tinge of hey, maybe something's wrong with you, actually. why are you having this problem when i'm clearly not? why can't this problem be solvable so we can be okay again?
and then your friend pulls a knife on you, and you really don't know what to do. both of you on the back foot. the argument spirals from there.
it doesn't ultimately matter whether scott's right about the whole 'dying of natural causes' thing, i suppose. just him saying it is (1) telling about what scott's default assumptions about hybrids are and how scott understands himself, which shows you the fault along which his relationship to sparrow falls apart, and (2) really fun for making sparrow reveal how he feels about himself and his own hybrid-ness. scott can be entirely wrong about this thing and it still works. scott can be entirely wrong about this thing and it's actually maybe more interesting to me if he is! it adds interesting flavour to their relationship if this is just a belief he's been holding onto this whole time despite also simultaneously caring a good deal about sparrow, or if it's a theory he cobbles together in the moment in an effort to make sense of the directions sparrow keeps taking this conversation they're having. isn't it interesting? if this whole thing falls apart because he blurted out the wrong thing at the wrong time and it wasn't even true in the end.

don’t know/doubt anon back again to add some more nuance to the we don’t know answer bc I can’t stop thinking about it- sorry for another long blurb in your ask box
For context, I’m bi and poly, and partially closeted for safety. My dear papa (for whom I hold a complex but genuine affection) is an Anglican vicar with a v evangelical Methodist/Baptist upbringing, and my darling mother (with whom I have a similar relationship) converted as a teen and never looked back. I was largely raised in the kind of church spaces that said not only do you have to do everything Right and Without Sin, you have to believe every word of the bible, some bits are metaphors though, and did you know that getting your interpretation wrong means you’re almost as bad as the atheists? In fact, the only two things worse than getting it wrong is preaching your twisted version of God’s Holy Word and rejecting the Holy Spirit (by leaving Christianity or sinning repeatedly and on purpose).
So. Uh. You could say that Christianity has been heavy for me. I’m very aware that my urge to know what Really Happened is largely drawn from fear of getting it wrong. At the same time, the knowledge that I don’t and can’t know all the details for sure can be kind of comforting. It’s out of my hands now, if it was ever really in them to begin with, and if I want to then I can cling to the parts of the gospel that tell me that I am loved, that the people I love are loved, and that’s it’s as the flawed people they are, not the perfect saints they could be.
In all the doubt and the arms length at which I actively keep God, I can’t let go of my faith completely. I still think God exists, and without direct proof to the contrary I default to the narrative of the gospels. It’s kind of terrifying if it is true in any meaningful way, literal or not, because with or without perfect understanding and testimony there’s a number of theologies about the point of Jesus and the second coming and What Heaven Is, and I really cannot emphasise enough that not only am I very bad at the modest and holy and faithful follows-every-rule Christian thing, I simply don’t have it in me to try anymore. I often think that life would be easier if I could just sever from faith entirely because at least that way I can go ‘yep there’s only one answer to death and dying and that is ceasing to exist, and in the time we have all that matters is to be good to one another’.
And Yet.
I think we don’t know is still an okay summary of my thoughts and experiences, but I guess my real answer is that apparently faith and doubt can hold hands and leap into an unverifiable abyss together, and that hope is almost belief when you look at it in the right light.
(Thank you for coming to my TED talk! I hope this wasn’t annoying and I am mostly okay xx)
you're not annoying at all! i'm very familiar with the heaviness of christianity. please never follow every rule <3

Hi! I just wanted to expressed my love for the “Curiousities” fics! I might get it slightly wrong here, but I believe Aegon isn’t inherently a bad person, he seems to me as a rather broken character, I mean we saw it just before (Y/n) and Aegon had sex, where (Y/n) showed him some genuine care and love. I think Aegon feels devoid of any actual purpose, he is a young king limited by the council, and on top of all of that, his brothers hate him, his mother doesn’t really know how to approach him (maybe because of the consequences of being a child-bride, she didn’t develop the emotional capability to be an actual mother), also, the only person he loved, his son, died.
I think the way Aegon clings to (Y/n) is positively enticing, for god sake Aegon actually said “Please” (fucking Aegon, he doesn’t ask for anything, EVER). The way he is *slightly* obsessed with (Y/n) is so fucking delicious to read! He craves that sort of intimacy, where, he doesn’t feel judged and (Y/n) listens to him, not because he is the King, but because he actually cares about Aegon. I mean, to cause such an impact on someone, that they actually chase you, like they need you more then air itself is so SO wonderful to read about (I think we saw that, when Aegon wanted (Y/n) to move to the Red Keep, to me that said, “I need you so much you have to be with me at all times).
A little part of me, perhaps a little more perverted, believes that (Y/n), if he was a little mean spirited, could get ANYTHING, he wants from Aegon (Aegon said it himself, when he referenced the riches and all of that, even the maids tending to (Y/n) pointed it out). I have a feeling Aegon will literally kiss the ground (Y/n) walks on…
Finally, I would like to mention the meeting between Alicent and (Y/n), it seemed to me that they understood each others on a deeper level, I can’t wait to read more about their relationship, they seem like they would make really good friends (also that would be a really badass duo). Perhaps (Y/n) could help her mend the relationship with Aegon and, perhaps this is wishful thinking, I kinda want Aegon to become a better king, because of the love he has for (Y/n).
I am so sorry that this is so long, but I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy these fics so much! I CANT WAIT for the next “Curiousities” fics!
Thank you so much for your time!

Tumblr media
There's nothing I LOVE more than reading others opinions or how they interpret my fics! Feel free to send in as many long comments or asks as you wish on any of my works it'll always have me kicking my feet.
On the topic of Aegon, he is definitely a very complex multilayered character and Tom plays him and understands him very well. Aegon isn't a good person but he's not a complete full villain with no good traits and I think die hard Team Black fans tend to ignore what led him to become who he is in favor of bashing the character simply for being the rival of their favs.
He's definitely broken and I think if Alicent had given him more genuine love during his childhood he would've been better. I will never blame Alicent for not being able to properly bond with her children fully when she was not only a child-bride but a victim of SA. She has shown that she does love Aegon but I think their relationship is so complicated because he truly was the first thing that permanently tied her to Viserys. Aegon is very much a product of his environment and the product of not having a support system.
I tried to do his character justice from everything I've seen in the show (and sorta in the book). We know Aegon is sensitive, he drinks and often makes a mess of things, he has an extremely complicated relationship with his mother and a nonexistent one with his father, he's capable of being kind (to the smallfolk and his kids), and even though he might antagonize them or not try to full understand them he also cares for his kids.
Plus!! He didn't want to be king!! He tried to run and begged Aemond to let him go! And now that he's king the very people who forced the crown on his head don't bother trying anymore and dismiss him. Aegon is quite literally all alone. Rhaenyra does have her troubles with her council but her family largely backs her up, Aegon's family primarily roll their eyes or do their own thing.
(Y/N) is literally the only person he can rely on for an emotional connection and for the gentle physical touch he's been craving from everyone around him.
I want to study this man and his amazing sad puppy eyes 😭

Originally written for a kiss prompt on Twitter. Anise (twigbelly) asked for Yoda and Maz Kanata, "lazily".
--
Maz liked younger men. They had a lack of world-weariness, a lack of experience, that refreshed her. Hope was a hard thing when you had lived for nearly a millennium and seen what Maz had seen.
Maz also liked men who were nearing the end of their lives, because often at that point they started to recover their youthful joy.
It was the men in the middle who were difficult.
Yoda wasn't young enough when they first met. He was obviously interested, but he was also still clinging to his misguided interpretation of the Jedi Code, and Maz didn't feel like trying to talk him out of it. He had his chance, and he blew it.
Maz spent her Coruscant vacation running around with Dexter Jettster instead.
When the Force drew her to Dagobah some hundred years later, though, there Yoda was, seeming far older and far less certain of everything.
Maz liked when a person could admit they didn't possess all knowledge in the universe.
"I'm not sure why I'm here," Maz told him, settling down on a stool in his cozy little hut. "But it's a nice coincidence that you're here as well. Unless it's not." She gave him a wink.
To his credit, Yoda laughed at her terrible joke. "Moves in mysterious ways, the Force does," he agreed, stirring the pot he had going over the cookfire. "Expect to see you again, I did not." He glanced at her, looking almost shy. "Grateful, I am, for this second chance."
"So am I," Maz said, pleased.
They ate soup together in comfortable silence. When Yoda had cleared the bowls away, he told her he'd had a vision.
"Know not do I what it portends. Believed, I did, that I knew what to tell him. Wrong, I was. Happened differently, it could not have." He cocked his head to the side. "You, I saw, with his father's lightsaber."
"I believe you've made me wait long enough," Maz told him. "Tell me about the vision after. I may be nine hundred and seventy-six years old, but that doesn't mean I like wasting time."
Surprise sent Yoda's wispy eyebrows up his forehead. His nose wrinkled in a rather cute way.
"Kiss me," Maz clarified. "And you can take your time with it. Kissing is time well spent." She put a hand on Yoda's knee, and Yoda swallowed, then leaned in.
It was, Maz soon realized, his very first kiss. She did her best to make it a good one.
He in turn quickly learned how to take her breath away with soft, slow, gentle touches.
They spent several highly satisfying hours at it. When Maz felt she could no longer ignore her purpose here, she finally disentangled herself from Yoda. Regretful but also happy, she smiled at him. "So am I to bring this lightsaber to you?" she asked, getting right back down to business.
Yoda blinked at her. He had a wide, silly smile on his face. "No," he replied after a moment, seeming to gather his wits. "Return here, Skywalker will, yes. But no longer for him, that lightsaber is. Keep it you must, for someone else."
The Force did indeed move in mysterious ways. Maz set off to Cloud City to retrieve the lightsaber Obi-Wan Kenobi had given to Luke Skywalker…the lightsaber with which Anakin Skywalker had slain dozens of Jedi in the name of the Dark. That same fearsome blade would one day save the future of the Light.
And Yoda hadn't been ready, before, but he was ready now, when Maz returned to him.

tumblr's "for you" page got my back for au's and brainrot
--
fake dating au where yakumo (kaisei's ex here), becomes jealous and tries to get with ciro bc he notices they spend a lot of time together.
after some point, kaisei steps in and tells him to back off, that ciro's taken (by him, as noted by kaisei pulling ciro into a hug and def flustering ciro, who's blushing furiously but it's hidden because his face is buried in kaisei's shoulder)
It gets out that they're "dating" because someone who knows kaisei happened to see it and took a pic. After that, ciro suggests that they should. Y'know, fake date. Just so yakumo doesn't get any ideas that he can actually keep pursuing ciro!!
Yeah ciro actually just has a huge crush on kaisei (who for the sake of this au acts oblivious to it) and ciro's tsundere side is seen a little more in this au. He's very cute tbh...
Ciro: We have to pratice kissing, if we have another blunder out in public where i split your lip, it'll definitely look weird!!
Kaise, very knowingly but also faking not knowing: whatever you say
Ciro proceeds to make out with kaisei, who is like "b r o"
Another idea i had is them doing an interview (they have to keep up appearances after all!!) And the interviewer asks vaguely how their sex life is, to which kaisei is quick to call ciro a pillow prince
Ciro sits there, red-faced and looking at kaisei from the corner of his eye with what kaisei interprets as a "im going to kill you later" look, but in reality, ciro is already thinking of how he can twist it later to get kaisei to actually sleep with him//shot
Basically this whole time ciro is trying to veil his genuine feelings for kaisei, and kaisei thinks its cute so he goes along with it. Plus when ciro offers for kaisei to move in ("Come on, it makes us look more believable and you're already paying half the rent at your place"), kaisei doesnot turn the offer down 👀✨️
After kaisei moves in, he does take ciro's office room and ciro puts all his office stuff in his own bedroom. I like to imagine a night soon after kaisei moves in, ciro is having trouble sleeping and nothing seems to help him - going to the bathroom, drinking some water, getting another blanket, hugging a pillow, none of it. He lays in bed, sighs, and gets up again, nervously slinking into kaisei's room. He tugs on his pajama shirt, and kaisei groans; a tired "fine" in response to ciro asking if he can sleep with him.
He climbs in, snuggles under the blanket, and hugs kaisei from behind - and miraculously, he is able to fall asleep.
Later, kaisei wakes up and thinks it was strange waking up from one dream into another, and dreaming that ciro was cuddling him.
"Haha, no way that would happen-"
He rolls over, which is surprisingly difficult, ad finds none other than ciro clinging to him fast asleep, looking like a sweet little angel. Kaisei just hugs him, and this time he's the one flustered because ciro is just so precious looking when he's asleep and cuddled up to him///
Possibly something happens too where ciro gets scared that kaisei doesn't want to do the fake dating aymore, and he has to confront his feelings for him - to which kaisei says "thats why I want to stop with this fakeness. I want this to start being real."
Cue flustered ciro clinging to kaisei and muttering that those were words he'd been longing to hear for months.
Maybe it happens after the lewd interview comment, and ciro starts trying to argue with kaisei about the pillow prince comment. Ciro is adamant, asking why kaisei would think he's a ~pillow prince~, and kaisei just explains that he's so easily flustered, shorter than him, and also got really into that time they practiced kissing; so he must be really needy.
Ciro trying to convince kaisei that he might be wrong, but he just pulls ciro into his lap and is like "you really wanna prove it?"
Finally, ciro puts aside his tsundere pride and mutters "yes", to which kaisei picks him up and carries him into ciro's bedroom, and uh. Yeah lol
I think after they start real dating, kaisei visits ciro's office and ciro hugs him and gives him a cute little kiss. Yoai laighs and is like, "guys you dont have to pretend around me, you know."
Kaisei looks at ciro confused, wondering why he hasn't told her yet. Ciro hugs closer and asmits that they are, in fact, dating for real now and yoai is just really happy because she knos ciro's had the biggest dumb crush on this guy. She dramatically shakes their hands, congratulates them, and asks when the wedding is.
Kaisei makes a joke about having a lovely summer wedding and ciro punches his arm lol
