-PRICE: the price is calculated on the hours of work I put on it, and it already includes ALL taxes. (45 % of the amount goes up in taxes, my dudes). It is based on the amount of characters, details and background you ask for. The more complicated it is, the more time it takes, the more it costs. Please explain in your email what you would like and your budget and we will come up with a suitable price for both of us! Animations and comic strips need to be discussed as their price depends on the style chosen. Don’t worry if your budget is not much: just let me know and we can surely squeeze a drawing in there :)
-WHAT I NEED: photo references and information on what you want, the more the better. They don’t have to be super accurate! You can send ten photos and say: “I want this dress with this character with this other background etc.” You don’t know what you want? no problem! we can chat and discuss it!
-WHAT I WILL DRAW: I am comfortable drawing nsfw, most kinks, and animals of all kind, real and fantasy alike. I also draw every ship, so don’t be shy in asking! I won’t draw underage nsfw, non-con or dub-con, domestic violence etc. If you’re not sure, ask!
-WHAT FANDOMS? All of them. Just provide references and I’m good. Also, I’m a huge nerd, so there’s a 90% chance that I already know what you’re talking about. I draw OCs too!
-HOW TO PAY: via Bank transfer. After we agree on a price I will draw the sketch, and after the you have approved of the sketch I will send the invoice that you will need to pay. The invoice will contain all the info for the payment (it’s pretty easy to do online) and it’ll be in euros, and it will obviously be the amount we agreed on. I will then proceed with the rest of the drawing once I receive the payment.
-TIPS: If you wish to leave a tip, it’s greatly appreciated! However, the invoice has to match the exact amount of money I’ll be receiving, so if wanna tip you’ll have to tell me before I send the invoice! Again, a tip is not necessary nor will I be mad or offended if it’s not there. Sharing my art and signal boosting my commission masterpost or recommending me to others means a lot to me too and it’s a great way to help.
-HOW IT WILL WORK: I’ll send you the progress AT LEAST three times: the sketch, the lineart, and the base colors, so you can see them and ask me to change what you don’t like. Do not worry about offending me! The key to a good commission is communication! Also, I won’t be able to change stuff if you don’t tell me in time, so there’s that too ;)
-CAN I SHOW THE DRAWING TO THAT ACTOR? Sure, as long as it’s not nsfw! Please let me know if you do, I’m super curious to know what they said ;)
-DEADLINES: Please let me know if you have any deadlines you want respected. If you want it ready in less than 10 days there’s an extra 10$ fee. If you want it ready in less than 7 days there’s an extra 20$ fee. Also, if you ask for a deadline please try to reply to emails as promptly as you can manage.
-LIVESTREAMING: I might livestream the last phase of your commission (the coloring) on my Picarto.tv account, if the inspiration strikes and time is there. If you don´t want me to, please say so in advance, even tho I usually ask for permission before I do it.

Oh, and he's still working as the Sandpiper, only now a terrifying eldritch creature has entrusted him with the Song of the Seven to give hope to the elves and help them fight back against their oppression. It's probably the bravest thing he's ever done, but not everyone sees it that way.
Luckily he knows some people who excel at last minute rescues.
... then he just has to figure out how to tell Geralt why so many people are trying to kill him. This is going to go great.

thank you for the tag @inquisimer 💖 this was a lot of fun to answer I split my time this year both writing and drawing. if you'd like to see my 2024 drawing round up it's here

new things I tried:
Writing my first OC who shares the same gender presentation as I do (Octavia), creating self-indulgent lore and art for them and becoming entirely too obsessed with my dolls.
Writing for a popular ship (Lucanis/Rook/Spite). It low-key stresses me out to see the number of works I can't keep up with in their tag. I had made an effort to read and interact with nearly everything for my BG3 micro-blorbos, which I believe was less than 100 fics across an entire year. I've decided to just let it go and enjoy the interactions I can manage!
fic I spent the most time on: Gods and Monsters (BG3) at a grand 12k words and counting. I have a lot of complicated feelings about this story. I want to come back to it some day.
fic I spent the least time on: performance review (Zarys/Rugan [NPC/NPC], BG3) was the shortest and also quickest piece written over 2 days. I also participated in 4 round robin writing challenges, and turned around my paragraphs in 1-2 hours each time it was handed to me.
favorite thing I wrote: somewhere I have never travelled (BG3), a one shot about young love and mistaken identities. It's set in a "fix it" universe written by @my-favourite-zhent (a mutual who later became a friend!) That sense of communal world building is really exciting and magical. I was really lucky to experience it in my first proper year in fandom.
favorite thing(s) I read:

Seleny Merlot, 8:92 Blessed by silverhalla (Dragon Age) - truly masterful short fiction. I often want my Veilguard fics to be something the game is not (a self-critique and absolutely not on any writer), but this perfectly captures the lighthearted humour of the installment.
Burn, Shepard, Burn series by Otempora (Mass Effect) - The adventures of Shepard of Mindoir, witcher for hire, and her devoted "friend" Garrus Vakarian. The premise works fantastically; Shepard and Garrus are both entirely themselves in this AU. Slow, slow burn, but it doesn't matter—you know that they love each other in every universe.
cemetery by MelisandreStark (BG3) - Minthara/Gale, post-game, treated perfectly seriously. It's the happily ever after that I never knew I needed until I read it.
writing goals for 2025:

new works: I'm not going to stress myself out by promising anything more than I already have, but I want to continue what I've done with my newer stuff like castling, which is to trust the process and myself more. To write when I want to, and not only when "conditions are perfect". And stop imagining that I need a certain word count before posting. If I want to change tenses and POVs, and write freaky Fade stuff, I will!!

Hi babes and besties, I decided to torpedo my art from Tunglerb because honestly? This site has slided to hell slowly but steadily and with this new talk about Tumblam being in talks with selling their user's art to AI companies is enough for me.
I know there's no way to delete reblogs but I figured it's something at least to delete the most convenient way for AI bots to scrape all my stuff from one single blog.
You can still find me (and all my old Witcher fanart) over at my Pillowfort account! Granted, I'm not really active in drawing nowdays anymore and I mostly draw my dumb D&D stuff.
And in case you are looking for a new site to hop over to, I can recommend Pillowfort. It's not as hectic and big as Tunktonk and sort of still lacks those funny old quality shit posts you can find here, but I'm confident the site will still grow.
Pillowfort relies on monthly subsciptions/donations (which can be as low as one dollaroo or more if you can afford it) but you can use it for free via an invitation key or purchase one-time pass for 5 dollahs. The money goes straight to maintaining and developing Pillowfort because, you know, they don't rely on outside funding like Tinglang and most other big social media sites do. Which is also why adult content is allowed there!

What's the origin of your blog title? Let's open by saying that this was not the nickname I have used from the start. My original nickname was "WinterStorm", a ship name me and my best friend of my time gave between Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier and my Marvel OC (her hero name is Sandstorm). This new nick was born because I had to open a League of Legend new account and the WinterStorm option was taken. While randomly pressing keys, I had a sort of stroke of genius, and "thenameswinter" was born. The "99" was added in a second moment, which is my year of birth.

Favorite game I have lots of favourite videogames. I loved the "The Witcher" trilogy and I can't wait to play the fourth chapter. I also loved the "Devil May Cry" saga, I only have to play the DmC and DMC V. I also enjoyed a lot "God of War" saga and "Assassin's Creed" saga. But the game that will forever be in my heart is "Dragon Age" saga, especially "Dragon Age Origins".

I'm in my sad hours era.
Weirdest habit/trait? When I'm nervous, I tend to rub my palms a lot. I don't know why I still don't have calluses.
Hobbies Reading, drawing, writing, giffing (new), finding some scripts so I can practice with my acting skills.
If you work, what's your profession? Theorically, I work in a graphic and communication agency. Practically, I don't work there as graphic, but more as secretary/call center girl.
If you could have any job you wish, what would it be? Realistically? I still haven't change my mind and I always believe I want to pursuit the acting career, especially in the film industry field. I know it will be a hard path, but every time I watch a movie at home or in theatre I can't help but study actors and at the same time be fascinated by their profession, many times I imagine how I would act in that scene.

Two under the hoods – polar night
Pixel art for today based on videogame Wizardry 7 for computer system Ibm Pc MsDos. It is very advanced and very well-made role playing game. But, one certain thing – that, it is very complicated game, as a point. And, you need to dig it, invest lots of time into the game. Might and Magic 6 was released later and it will be more simple to get the game ideas.
But interesting game world and interesting game system there are here, that’s for sure! So, it is good to turn on by the evenings your Ms Dos computer and whole hours spent on this Wizardry 7. If this way, then it is good idea to try! It is such analog for Witcher. Game requires lots of time.
And this is my drawing based on. Under the hood there are two heroes. Maybe, they are two brothers. Or, two friends. And, maybe, just adventurers. Who knows. But, ahead, a dark night awaits them. And a long road. Road, that is full of dangerous. Charmed creatures. Golems. Big flies. Some strange forest livers, which no one see in the city. First, it is good to find a tomb of archimage. And to see what is it interesting inside. There, should to be a key from tower of mage. Which is located deep into the forest. So, this way road leads ahead, deeper and deeper. Deeper and deeper – into the forest. By the road. By the road of the night.
Along the freezing iced lake. At the top, there is ice there. And you can walk, but it is very dangerous. Underwater livers can break the ice and push you under the water. It is better to walk along the lake. And there in a far - it is an ice castle. And who know what is next.
While it is going here a polar night – it is a time of monsters from another side. Which goes to this world. Polar night will lasts about one year. And, later, it will to be a great day. At this planet everything works like this. Sometimes, powerful creatures from other side can make polar night longer for several times by ten days. And such heroes like you are good for this case, that’s why you go into the forest, you go to explore this world of night. And to prevent continue of polar night for more long time. And, also, it is a time for exploration! Few can go behind the civilization borders. And to walk here and there in a wild lands. Especially, in a long night.
I want to draw role playing game. Style of Wizardry 7. But I don’t get this goals, in terms of details, as it is in that game. There is a very good drawing in there. But, I get this picture. Also, it is a role playing game!

-PRICE: the price is calculated on the hours of work I put on it, and it already includes ALL taxes. (45 % of the amount goes up in taxes, my dudes). It is based on the amount of characters, details and background you ask for. The more complicated it is, the more time it takes, the more it costs. Please explain in your email what you would like and your budget and we will come up with a suitable price for both of us! Animations and comic strips need to be discussed as their price depends on the style chosen. Don't worry if your budget is not much: just let me know and we can surely squeeze a drawing in there :)
-WHAT I NEED: photo references and information on what you want, the more the better. They don’t have to be super accurate! You can send ten photos and say: “I want this dress with this character with this other background etc.” You don't know what you want? no problem! we can chat and discuss it!
-WHAT I WILL DRAW: I am comfortable drawing nsfw, most kinks, and animals of all kind, real and fantasy alike. I also draw every ship, so don’t be shy in asking! I won’t draw underage nsfw, non-con or dub-con, domestic violence etc. If you’re not sure, ask!
-WHAT FANDOMS? All of them. Just provide references and I’m good. Also, I’m a huge nerd, so there’s a 90% chance that I already know what you’re talking about. I draw OCs too!
-HOW TO PAY: via Bank transfer. After we agree on a price I will draw the sketch, and after the you have approved of the sketch I will send the invoice that you will need to pay. The invoice will contain all the info for the payment (it’s pretty easy to do online) and it’ll be in euros, and it will obviously be the amount we agreed on. I will then proceed with the rest of the drawing once I receive the payment.
-TIPS: If you wish to leave a tip, it’s greatly appreciated! However, the invoice has to match the exact amount of money I’ll be receiving, so if wanna tip you’ll have to tell me before I send the invoice! Again, a tip is not necessary nor will I be mad or offended if it’s not there. Sharing my art and signal boosting my commission masterpost or recommending me to others means a lot to me too and it’s a great way to help.
-HOW IT WILL WORK: I’ll send you the progress AT LEAST three times: the sketch, the lineart, and the base colors, so you can see them and ask me to change what you don’t like. Do not worry about offending me! The key to a good commission is communication! Also, I won’t be able to change stuff if you don’t tell me in time, so there’s that too ;)
-CAN I SHOW THE DRAWING TO THAT ACTOR? Sure, as long as it’s not nsfw! Please let me know if you do, I’m super curious to know what they said ;)
-DEADLINES: Please let me know if you have any deadlines you want respected. If you want it ready in less than 10 days there’s an extra 10$ fee. If you want it ready in less than 7 days there’s an extra 20$ fee. Also, if you ask for a deadline please try to reply to emails as promptly as you can manage.
-LIVESTREAMING: I might livestream the last phase of your commission (the coloring) on my Picarto.tv account, if the inspiration strikes and time is there. If you don´t want me to, please say so in advance, even tho I usually ask for permission before I do it.

The witcher: a viper, a bear and a gryphon walk into a tavern...
Chapter One: The beasts of the mist
The wind howled through the forest, the trees swaying in eerie harmony as the fog clung low to the ground. The morning sun barely broke through the mist, casting an ethereal light over the world. Birds remained silent, as if aware of the tension in the air, and the ground was soft beneath the boots of the three figures walking through the dense woods. They were a mismatched trio of warriors, each with their own scars and secrets, each carrying their own burdens.
Valtari Serret was the first to break the silence. His silver whips swished with every step, each movement deliberate and dangerous. He glanced over his shoulder, his one yellow eye narrowing as he took in the figure behind him. "Brogur, if you keep walking so slowly, we’ll be in the next village by nightfall," he said with a hint of sarcasm, his voice smooth and cold. "And I doubt the villagers will appreciate a half-baked Witcher stumbling into their midst."
Brogur, the heavy-set Witcher from the Bear School, grunted in response. He had been born on the rugged shores of Skellige, and his broad, muscular frame reflected the harsh life he had lived. One arm was missing, a casualty of the brutal battle in which he'd lost it while using a shield to protect a group of young witchers. He was slower now, but no less formidable. His remaining arm gripped a heavy silver sword that seemed to weigh as much as a small tree. "You’re welcome to carry my sword if it bothers you," Brogur said, his voice deep and gruff, though there was a warmth to it that belied his intimidating appearance. "The day I start rushing is the day I find a rock that grows wings."
Valtari smirked but didn’t respond. He was used to Brogur’s easygoing nature, the Bear School Witcher who would never turn down the chance to protect the common folk, even if it meant throwing himself into battle for a cause he didn’t personally care about.
Behind them, a faint limp could be heard, and a softer voice broke through the murmur of the forest. "Don’t mind him. He only complains because he knows I’m the one doing all the hard work," Boblek called, his voice laced with a lazy drawl.
Boblek, a Witcher from the Gryphon School, was the wild card of the group. With his cane sword in hand and his gimp leg, he made an impression that could only be described as disinterested. He wasn’t as much a warrior as he was an opportunist—unless it came to magic. He’d mastered the arcane arts in a way that few could rival, though he preferred to keep it low-key. He never liked to break a sweat if he could help it. "Besides," Boblek continued, "I’m the one who figured out where the monster’s lair is. The rest of you are just the muscle."
Valtari chuckled darkly. "Right. You found the monster’s lair. After three days of arguing with the map." He turned to Brogur. "You’d think someone with a gimp leg would have a better sense of direction."
Boblek shot Valtari a sharp look, but it was more playful than hostile. "Funny. I didn’t know the Viper School had such a fondness for talking instead of fighting." He tapped the end of his cane on the ground with a dull thud. "Let’s hope your whips are as sharp as your tongue."
Brogur laughed, shaking his head. "Enough of this," he rumbled. "We’ve got a job to do. You two can bicker all you want when we’re drinking in the tavern."
"Fine by me," Boblek said, stretching out his back with a groan. "I’m only here for the pay."
The trio continued their journey in silence, the weight of their task settling over them. They had been hired by the village elder to investigate strange disappearances in the area. The villagers spoke of a monstrous creature that had been lurking in the woods, dragging people away in the dead of night. The Witchers had been called in to deal with it—something that had become all too common for men of their profession.
Despite the usual grumbling, there was an unspoken bond between the three. They had fought side by side before and survived battles that would’ve killed lesser men. Each one had their reasons for being a Witcher, though none of them spoke of it often. For Valtari, it was the bitter hatred of the schools, of what they had done to him, and what they continued to do to others. For Brogur, it was the desire to protect the innocent, even if it meant putting himself in harm’s way. And for Boblek… well, Boblek was in it for the thrill of magic and the occasional coin, but deep down, he couldn’t ignore the pull of the monster hunter’s life.
As they approached the edge of the woods, a low growl reached their ears. Brogur’s hand immediately went to the hilt of his sword, his stance widening in anticipation. Valtari’s whips coiled around his fists, ready for action. Boblek, not even slightly concerned, gave a lazy grin. "Sounds like we’ve found our monster."
"Let’s make it quick," Valtari muttered, his yellow eye glowing faintly in the growing dusk. "I don’t want to spend the whole day here. If I’m lucky, I’ll be back in the village by nightfall. Maybe there’s something… interesting I can find."
Brogur shot him a sideways glance, but the smile on his face was ever-present. "I’m sure the villagers will love you."
With that, the three Witchers pushed forward, the fog thickening around them as they entered the forest clearing where the monster’s growl had originated. It wasn’t just any monster. Valtari knew it the moment he laid eyes on it—a twisted, mutated thing, half-human, half-creature, with the eyes of a predator and the body of something ancient. Looked like a siren but more… Pisceatorial.
"Looks like we have our hands full," Valtari said, cracking his whips, his voice full of anticipation. "But I guess that's what we're here for."
Brogur cracked his knuckles and stepped forward, his broad chest rising and falling with each breath. "Let’s get to work, then."
And Boblek? He was already pulling a hand from his pocket, readying a magical incantation that would send the monster’s will crashing to the ground. His eyes gleamed with amusement.
"Sure," Boblek said, leaning against his cane. "I’ll finish this in five minutes. You two can handle the rest."
And with that, the battle began.
Brogur walked forward unafraid and swung his blade into the strange creature, his blade seemingly cut right through. He turned back disappointed “that was easy…”
“Well thats boring, guess were getting paid for nothing.” Valtari said with a long sigh.
Boblek narrowed his eyes at the creature “well this is odd…” both Brodur and Valtari looked at him “you didn't kill it, look.” As they turn around the creature appears to merge with the fog and disappear. Like a mirage.
Valtari tilts his head in confusion “that wasn't the monster..? But Brodur slashed it in two, I saw it!” He said with a slight annoyed growl.
Boblek smirked, it was something new. “Well I've never seen a siren that was ugly before, have you?” The other two witchers shook their heads “we may have stumbled upon a new creature, a more… fishy siren.” Boblek begins jotting down what they saw.
With a low whisper “if i didn't kill it, its still around here… we need to get rid of it. It has killed villagers.” Brogur said as he turned around and made his way into the cave. Boblek used his magic to make an orb of light and followed, Valtari followed as well and he took out both of his silver whips, ready for whatever they found. The
Cave was dark and damp, the smell of fetid iron with a hint of sulphur. Suddenly something ran past the corner up ahead, Brodur quickened his step, Valtari and Boblek close behind with his orb of light.
As they rounded the corner, Brodur stopped and looked back at the group confused. There was nothing “didn't something just come down here or am i missing something?” Valtari and Boblek poke their heads out from behind Brodur who they practically used as a shield, they saw nothing as well. Just a hall of natural stone with a deadend. They walk down the natural hall confused. Boblek walked ahead to inspect the dead end, as he touched the wall something pulled him in, his screams stopped as he went through the wall. Brodur and Valtari looked at one another then ran towards the wall but it was seemingly solid.
Valtari was furious “how the hells did that creature yank him in like that?” He pounded his fist on the wall, it seemed to move slightly.
With a curious look at the fact the wall moved Brodur spoke, trying to remain calm “Valtari on the count of three cast aard at the dead end.” Brodur put his sword down and raised his one hand as Valtari quickly went to his side, on the count of three they casted aard together and then the wall went flying back towards the direction Boblek went.
The screams of Boblek now audible again, they echoed throughout the cave. “you two bumbling nekkers help me now!” with that Valtari and Brodur made haste to follow the sound of their gimped companion. As they ran for two minutes they finally arrived at a large intimidating cavern, moonlight bled down to the grizzly environment full of blood and gore. Boblek is crawling away using geomancy to make a stone wall as the creature draws near to him.
Brodur runs between Boblek and the beast, stabbing its fish tail to hold it down. Valtari rushes in, rapidly whipping the creature with both of his silver whips. “If anyone's going to kill that Redanian it's going to be me!” Valrari said with a loud cackle
Boblek, looked at Valtari and cringed at such a statement “as if i'd die to a lowly nilfgaardian, i think i'm better off getting rid of this stone wall” Valrari laughs even harder. In a flash the creature pulls itself out from the pinned sword, slicing its tail in half. The creature roared in pain and anger. With that it slammed its now bifurcated tail into Brodur and Valtari.
Brodur stumbled back but held his ground as Valtari hit a wall with snapping noises, his ribs were broken.
Brodur grabbed his sword, ready to fight “you're going to die at my blade abomination!” With that Brodur body checked the creature as it hissed as it fell into the water in the cavern. Brodur swiftly helped Boblek up and rushed over to Valtari. Brodur digs into his bag and pull out a swallow potion and pours it into Valtaris mouth.
Valtari has a coughing fit before speaking “ah man, my ribs…” he grasps his torso gently “i do not look forward to the next couple weeks for it to fully heal…” Valtari presses his hand against the wall and the other on Brodur’s shoulder as he proceeds to pull himself up.
Suddenly the water bubbles and the cavern fills with fog. The three witchers turn to the water as more creatures worm their way out. “oh, it would appear we're outnumbered, glad i won't be dying to a nilfgaardian peasant” Boblek says knowing that if it's his last moments alive, at least he spoke his mind. One of the creatures rushes towards Boblek, without a second thought he signs aard, maybe he can make some slight distance. Boblek pushes the creature back, however it would appear the creature was one with the fog. “I get it now, gods im an idiot…” he says with a faint chuckle “this creature is using illusionary copies!”
Brodur’s eyes widen “you mean, they're fake?” Brodur starts swinging his blade, illusion after illusion dissipating. Issue is there's a lot of illusions and Brodur is doing this literally single handedly because Bobleks cane is nowhere to be seen and Valtari is injured heavily, even if he did fight it would only hurt him more.
“Think I'm gonna let you have all the fun?” Valtari said while wheezing. Valtari raised his hand and signed igni as he spewed flames from his hand.
Boblek crawled over weakly “think…” he took a deep breath, tired from crawling “think i'm going to get one upped by a filthy Nilfgaardian?” With that Boblek also casted igni, however his igni was hotter and spewed further as if he had the power of a true dragon within his palms. All the creatures dissipated within the fog, however the true creature was gone it seemed. Suddenly there was a screech from above, the creature was flying straight down, ready to rip them all apart.
Brodur threw his sword at the creature and swiftly casted quen, forming a bubble over the three of them. The sword pierced the creature as it fell into Brodur's quen bubble, it was dead.
Boblek looks for his cane and finds it next to the water, he grabs it and stands up “well that's weird… now that i get a closer look it appears to be the bastard child of a siren and a drowner…” Boblek limped his way closer and inspected the corpse and he sees stitches “ugly thing. Someone's idea of a sick hobby? They really stitched a drowned and a siren together?” Boblek wrote the findings in a journal.
Brodur shook his head in disbelief and horror “we need to find who's responsible, monsters are dangerous enough as is. We need to tell someone…”
Valtari kicked the dead creature a few times “I know who we can tell but we should get our coin and rest for a few days till I'm healed a bit.”

3. SOURCES - Intertextuality and Transmedia
Intertextuality and transmedia are powerful tools, that allow the consumers to enjoy the same franchise as different mediums. We can not only enjoy the comics about the superman, but also watch the movies about the character, play games as a superhero and so on. This allows us to explore our favourite franchise even further, speculate more with friends about the lore, and generally have more excitement with the franchise. That is what makes transmedia a very interesting and exciting concept.
Henry Jenkins describes transmedia as… “a process where integral elements of a fiction get dispersed systematically across multiple delivery channels for the purpose of creating a unified and coordinated entertainment experience.” (2011) One of the biggest challenges of converting the medium (for example, adapting the movie into a video game), is understanding what made it great in the first medium, and then attempt to make it great in the second one. During the adaptation of the medium, artists must understand that, for example, applying the same rules from movie art to a game art will completely cross out the video game as a medium.
Andrzej Sapkowski’s (1990) Witcher, as a franchise, is a great example of transmedia - Coming initially from books, then into games, into comics - and then finally into a series. The great fact about Witcher as a transmedia is that no matter which type of medium you choose, you will always get a story-oriented content: No matter if you read, play, or watch a movie - you will always have an opportunity to experience the world that the title is settled in, it’s characters, their level of actions and finally - the setting. Developers of each medium took the Witcher (1990) story as an independent source, ignoring the aspects of the original medium and focusing on the details of a new one. Each medium excitedly experiments with the original Witcher text and its own medium to expand on the existing world from a new perspective, such as an interactive world (video games), deep characters (books), and strong immersion (series). If the consumer did not enjoy one medium from the franchise - they can always try a different one and see if they will like it or not.
When the Witcher TV series (2019) was released, people did not enjoy the fact that the characters did not look familiar as from video games, but I don't think that they had to. Here, I agree with Henry Jenkins one quote where said that “Some have tried to argue that games are a key component of transmedia, but I do not want to prioritize digital media extensions over other kinds of media practices.” (2011), and I agree with this quote, since there are other components of transmedia like books, music, drawings that could also share the transmedia.
My final example of a media, that could support the quote above would be Sonic The Hedgehog (2020) - Coming from the game industry, and being released as a movie - it became extremely popular in the cinemas, claiming the viewer's hearts. What's great about this example is that the viewers do not have to play the game to love the movie. It became popular not because there was a game about the hedgehog or because of a large fan pool from the said game, but because of masterful use of the movie genre, good writing and so on.
Conclusion - Transmedia allows the creators to expand their ideas beyond one medium. With transmedia, people can not only read about their favourite fantasies but also listen to them, play them, and watch them. In other words - enjoy them in the best way they want to. With Transmedia there is only one big challenge -and it is to properly transfer or expand the selected media to a new medium, making sure it will be constructed reasonably and be enjoyed.
