Tv Tropes added one example of an unfinished story Dobson wrote about a "Kevin James" who the story tries to present as sympathetic but instead it comes off as the opposite of that. I don't recall ever reading this story. Which is it?

*Defining "supervillain" as the most extravagant, brilliant and powerful villain around.

Lex Luthor - For DC Comics, I have to give the nod to Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor. Sometimes a mad scientist, sometimes a corporate tycoon, and often both, Lex is almost always a ruthless, brilliant and charismatic but ultimately petty man who desperately seeks to reign as a God upon Earth. Beyond basic xenophobia, his animosity toward Superman is textbook psychological projection: Lex sees Superman as "competition" because he cannot fathom that someone with all that power could possibly choose a humble life of altruism and helping others. If Superman, despite his alien heritage, represents the best humanity is capable of, then Lex represents the opposite - which is poignant because all the qualities needed to also represent the best of humanity are right there within him, and he chooses not to indulge them because of his cynical, sociopathic belief in life being a zero-sum game.

Lex has been depicted by the likes of Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, Michael Rosenbaum, Jon Cryer, Stan Jones, Clancy Brown, James Marsters, Jason Isaacs and James Woods.

Dr. Doom - For Marvel Comics, who else can compare but Victor Von Doom? The masked ruler of Latveria is also an incredibly brilliant and powerful man with an insecure ego at his core, driving him to seek greater and greater power in order to prove that he is the best ruler the world could hope for and that all rivals such as Reed Richards are inferior to him. The best thing about Doom is how unashamedly over-the-top he is. The metallic mask and body armor, green hood and cloak, vainglorious personality, bombastic behavior and overwrought vocabulary utilized in his pontifications all make Dr. Doom a really fun villain to read or watch.

Dr. Doom has yet to have a particularly good live-action representation, but in animation and video games he has been well portrayed by the likes of Lex Lang, Clive Revill, Paul Dobson, Simon Templeman and Maurice LaMarche. Here's hoping the MCU finally does him justice!
