I would also like to see some miphlink, if that's okay!

I was really struggling with what to draw, and then I remembered your ask from ages ago (dang ADHD brain...) anyway, sorry its such a late answer, but Miphlink inspired by Dicksee's La Belle Dame
#thank you so so much for the ask stars!! I had completely forgotten about it (I'm so so sorry!!) and it saved me from an artist-not-arting#you know the sort of pent up unpleasant feeling you get when you need to do something creative but its not happening and then its sad?#yeah I didn't get that because your ask suddenly popped into my head! so very happy about that :) thank you!#link is a horse girl and we need more of it in life#also to try and get the flowy fabric look that Dicksee's La Belle Dame has without putting Link in a dress I decided to modify Mipha's fins#and then added some of that gorgeous salmon colour from the original piece#also the reason the reason the champions tunic etc have that grey tinge to it is because the knight was wearing armour in the original piec#with a beautiful duckegg blue grey colour and I thought including that might be fun too!#anyway#the couple that is perfect for one another and should always be together for all time: Mipha and Link#mipha#link#botw#creativesplat draws#breath of the wild#miphlink#lipha#I really need to catch up on the miphlink tag... its so exciting to have so much wonderful art and writing to look through but I am a rathe#busy/ adhd forgetful bean so whenever I get round to reading or looking at art... there will be a long reblog/ queue of miphlink stuff!#eventually#at some point#because fashionably late (coughjustlatecough) is my middle name!#enough rambling sorry#I love drawing miphlink its like a comfort drawing thing#like her head is so squidgy and so easy to doodle so if ever my brain is bored or I want to draw and need happy hormones but can't find the#mipha is the answer because the squishy head is just sooooo good#the designers of mipha were amazing and I love them#epona#tloz#zelda

First attempt at drawing a human(ish) hollow knight
#themmmmm#tbh I had no clue what to do with the armour so I just slapped a hallowbest seal on it and called it a day#my first idea was to draw the kings brand?? for some reason??#couldn’t draw that without a reference tho and I didn’t wanna look one up#maybe that version was from the better au where the pale king falls off a cliff or smth and the hollow knight takes over#listen I love pk as a character but things would probably have gone better if he died earlier#hollow knight#the hollow knight#thk#pure vessel#hollow knight fanart

Peeled my La'zaar a little bit for my own amusement, I was curious about the proportions of his jaw rami and masseters without his oversized bug mandibles in the way.
This is a decently youthful La'zaar, lacking horns in favour of a Darkblade's helmet yet having already lost the colour in his chitin. Not ancient enough to begin losing his vision, though.
He has a very gnarly scar on his throat; common consequence of being a self-taught Deathsinger. It is a craft he'd been honing since he could read the Fundamental choir manuscripts he'd "borrow" from An Laskar, in truth he owes his entire interest and mastery of the Song (lethal or otherwise) to her, utterly.
#I wasn't sure if severe keloid scarring on his skin would be green or purple so I settled on a weird middle-ground.#Sort of a counterpart to that Ru'thûn side-profile I need to return to.#Both him and Ru'thûn are very bulky... even without Knight armour they are physically imposing and unfuckwithable. I like that a lot.#OC: La'zaar#Love my beasts...#blackwax art

oh god I remember being obsessed with Kirby gijinkas as a kid and there was one of zero two that was like a bishonen guy but that looked close enough to a girl my literal baby brain was like “wow pretty lady” and i was extremely gay over. do people still do that. bc if so i have suggestions.
#and by that i mean one suggestion. and it’s that it'd be really funny if meta knight was a twink#bc the thing with him is that like. he's embarrassed over his appearance without all his armour bc he thinks he looks too cute#gijinka meta knight? 100% a baby faced twink. who tries way too hard to look cool. bc he is insecure over it#anyway i think having gay crushes on zero two gijinkas you thought were girls is a relatively unique experience#Idk maybe thirsting over Kirby gijinkas when you’re literally seven on dialup is a universal gay experience who knows

Whoever of the merchants companions was taken down by the golden knight got killed in one strike. At max health without armour it takes Leon two strikes from the golden knight before he gets killed. Which means if we consider Leon at max health(not considering the game challenge of having to raise his health), he’s more physically resilient than the merchants best guy.
#reno2005#idk do with that info what you will#I usually play without armour though so I’ve gotten used to calculating how many shots I can take without it#the knight deals a hefty chunk of damage

Saw a blorbo chart to fill and I was just doing it in my head cuz I've got too many blorbos to do it physically and one of the questions where "What do they make you feel?" with one of the checkboxes being "I wish I was them" and like I was filling it for Cain, and I was like: Hmm... I don't wanna Be like Cain but I wanna dress as a knight thou-- Sudden realization bout things hitting my brain immediately.
#aria rants#another chilling realization in this fine morning (1:35am) and like how does one recover from realizing that i rlly wanna dress as a knight#with or without armour i just wanna dress as one. and get a sword. just be a knight yk??????

The Roaring Knight encounter at the end of Chapter 3 is a masterclass at showing you that the REAL protagonist of Deltarune isn't Kris - it's Susie.
This doesn't really make much sense at first glance - you can't even really FIGHT the thing on equal footing without the Shadow Mantle, and to even get that Kris has to go through a harrowing gauntlet and fight a whole OTHER secret boss that doesn't even use the battle mechanics we've grown accustomed to. Kris Suffers to get that item, the one thing that can let them stand up to the Knight's merciless assaults. Hell, the game won't even let you retry if you lose until you have the Mantle in your possession. You would therefore assume that the Mantle belongs to Kris, and that they are the ones who should wear it.
And yet. Even when you don't have this item, who stands up to defy it? Susie. Who stops it from doing... whatever it was trying to do to Toriel, TWICE? Susie. And who gives chase across the boundary between light and dark, across the entirety of hometown, to stop it from abducting Undyne? Why, it's Susie. Her actions are those of a hero standing up to a terrible villain of unknowable power, and she does it without a shred of hesitation, even faced with the very real prospect of being killed.
And if that were it, it'd be kind of boring. But that's not it at all, because the reinforcement of this idea continues into the fight itself. Because if you can keep Susie alive for five turns, she starts monologuing against the boss, telling it how much it sucks and that she'll always have her friends behind her.
The Knight is presented to us as unknowable, invincible, unstoppable. Regular attacks bounce off of its absurdly high HP, it cannot be Checked like a normal enemy, attempts to reason with it fall on deaf ears. And yet, what's the one spell that can meaningfully hurt the Knight, to the point of temporarily disrupting its form? Susie's Rude Buster.
And then, when you throw yourself at the Knight again and again, trying to figure out its weakness, trying to outlast its brutal onslaught, it hits you - the Shadow Mantle does NOTHING for Kris in this fight, but it does EVERYTHING for Susie. Susie's the one doing all the damage. Susie's high HP perfectly compliments the shadow mantle's protection against the Knight's more absurd attacks. Ralsei has no way to meaningfully contribute to the fight at all, and while Kris can use Hold Breath to give the SOUL a boost, their utility begins and ends there. The most that either of them can really do is to act as TP and healing bots for Susie, and to equip weak armours that have beneficial effects, such as the TwinRibbon, Silver Watch, Blue Ribbon, TensionBow and Lodestone - the effects of these items persist regardless of whether the character wearing them is DOWNed or not, and, you guessed it, are equipped not to help them survive, but to allow them to support Susie even when incapacitated.
Then you start seeing it in other areas. Who is it that facilitates change in the other characters - Ralsei, Noelle, Berdly? Susie does, each and every time. She effortlessly upends their own myopic views of the world, defying them to change and be better, without even really realising that's what she's doing - is it any wonder that EVERYONE in the main cast seems to have a thing for her? She's magnetic in the way that heroes are, not despite her brashness and short temper but BECAUSE of them - because she cuts so effortlessly through the FICTIONS that other characters cling to, the stories they tell themselves about who they are, what they can do, and how they ought to be. Susie shatters those preconceptions and offers an alternative - live how you want to live, make the choices that you want to make, and let no-one else ever tell you who you are.
Susie is the hero of Deltarune, and the Roaring Knight's fight encapsulates why perfectly, without ever once drawing attention to the fact. It's sheer genius on Toby's part and I salute the skill with which it conveys those ideas in such an organic way.

SecUnit armour should attach directly to anchor points on the construct. If you're building something designed to wear armour then including couplings for it just makes sense. A human should not physically be able to wear SecUnit armour not because it's too heavy (though it probably would be too heavy/cumbersome to move well in) but because it doesn't have straps and buckles or lock to itself like human armour does: it clips onto the underlying foundation (the SecUnit).
It's disposable plating meant to take hits and then be replaced, but it's also an extension of the construct's body.
I have a lot of Feelings about Murderbot and its armour, how terribly it misses its opaque faceplate and how naked and vulnerable it feels every time it goes into combat without it. How in System Collapse it feels weird about taking Three's armour, and whether that's an extension on how it feels about armour in general, taking Three's specifically, or its evolving feelings about being expected to charge into combat in the first place. It's a component Murderbot lost early on and has never been able to replace, an exoskeleton it's struggling to learn to live without even as the humans around it don't even register it as a loss.
I think it's pretty likely that given the choice, it would generally prefer to chill in the argument lounge in full armour with its faceplate opaqued. Without that option it's been forced out of its comfort zone and has connected with its humans in a way that Mensah correctly predicted it never would have otherwise, which. Yay. But now it's done all this hard work and uncomfortable growth I hope eventually it gets its comfortable shell back.
Not to wear all of the time, because ART's crew uniforms are very soft and don't have seams or logos that it doesn't like, and ART's argument lounge and Preservation Station are safe places where it can be around humans without needing it. But next time shit hits the fan I hope ART gets to do a dramatic reveal of the bleeding edge armour it contacted the PSUMNT AI that has a special interest in materials science to make. It upgraded its fabrication units to be able to build it. It hacked Company blueprints to get a design schematic to scoff at and then improve. It's got the stealth coating they lifted from the NE hostiles. It's got extra data storage and processors tucked in there big enough to carry an ART partition. It comes with a whole fleet of matching drones. It's Perihelion blue. You can't buy armour this good (who would ever spend this much to protect a construct?), but it would hypothetically cost more than a fully kitted-out brand-new top-of-the-line CombatUnit. ART paid for it out of its own accounts and will not be taking questions about PSUMNT mission budgets at this time.
The wall retracts to reveal a secret armoury like in a spy movie, complete with theme music and coloured lighting, both because ART is Extra and because it knows that Murderbot has some mixed feelings about armour and having nice things. Giving it cheesy melodramatic presentation to nitpick and protest over will be comforting, even as they both unironically enjoy the homage to the episode of Timestream Defenders Orion with the chrono-displaced space knights.
This got away from me, but tl;dr: let the awkward turtle have its shell back!
