The Confession  (Pairing: Scott/Logan, Rating E) After a night of drinking with Logan, Scott makes quite a few drunken confessions in an attempt to coax Logan into sleeping with him. The next morning Scott faces the aftermath of his actions humiliated and concerned about what truly happened the night before.

Uninvited  (pairing Scott/Logan, Rating M) An eighteen year old Scott Summers goes on a mission that end up horribly wrong. When he ends up stranded in Canada away from his team in bitter weather conditions he has a chance encounter that causes him to cross paths with Logan. Logan takes Scott in and grudgingly offers to help Scott find his way back to his team. However, before that can happen the two make surprising discoveries about one another that leads to an undeniable attraction and uncovers a history of violence behind them at the hands of William Stryker. The Key To the Past  (pairing Scott/Logan, Rating E)   Post Days of Future Past Charles Xavier sends his group of teenage mutants out in search of a man who once helped him not so long ago. When the group led by Scott Summers finds their way to the mystery mutant, Scott finds himself wrapped up in a situation he isn’t quite prepared for when his past, present and future all collide.

4 What fandoms do you write for? Marvel, X-Men, Avengers mostly. I've done characters outside of this fandom in the past, but not in a while. Mostly just things within that context.

5 Do you respond to comments? Always. It might take me a moment but when someone leaves me a comment I always respond to them. Comments are what keeps the creative fires alive.

6 Fic with the angstiest ending? I'm such a sucker for happy endings that it's hard for me to write an angsty ending, but in this particular one shot I did and it ended on such an angsty note. Of course I did write a follow up one shot that didn't end so angsty, but this one is probably the most angsty thing I've ever written: The End (Pairing: Scott/Logan, Rating T)  Logan’s latest outburst during a training session leaves Scott discovering just how unhappy Logan is in their current living arrangement with Jean. Unable to keep carrying on the way he has been Logan calls it quits on his relationship with Scott. Desperate to make Logan stay, Scott makes one last appeal for his heart.

Runner Up would be this Bucky-centric Stucky angst I did forever ago:

Gone (Pairing: Steve/Bucky, Rating T) Bucky Barnes is haunted by a life of pain and misery, but on a night surrounded by fear he finds himself longing for the one thing he can never have.

7 Fic with the happiest ending? Probably Ever After that was listed above for Scogan, but just to mix it up a bit, I think I'll throw in one of my WinterIron pieces that had a happy ending after an angst filled journey to reach happily ever after :)

Home Again (Bucky/Tony, Rating M) Bucky returns from a grueling mission to his new best friend Alpine. He begins pondering the path he’s been on after facing the reality that some wounds can never truly be healed. In the height of his exhaustion, Bucky comes face to face with the last person that he ever anticipated seeing again in this lifetime or any other. When one of his biggest regrets manifests before him in impossible ways, will Bucky find the strength to make up for the mistakes of the past and find something even more profound along the way?

8 Do you get hate? I have written for a long time and never really got hate until I started writing WinterIron (Tony/Bucky) fic. I got so much hate from an anti that every day for 6 months+ I was getting death threats and a lot of horrific comments sent my way. I tried to be polite with the person, tried to offer up alternatives to spreading hate, but ultimate after that abuse I wound up closing off my anon asks after having Tumblr for years and never wanting to because I enjoyed allowing anons the opportunity to reach out. I've also put my WinterIron fics under moderation which is sad because fandom should be a celebration of fun for those who enjoy it.

9 Do you write smut? Yes, I have and if you look at my AO3 you can see it's there.

10 Have you ever co-written a fic? Yes, I've co-authored a couple of fics with @mischief-and-tea-by-the-sea and I've participated in a few Round Robins through the years which are always an adventure.

11 All time favorite ship? I'd have to say it's Scogan (Scott/Logan). I love a lot of other ships and ship both characters in other places to, but that's been the longest lasting ship for me that's brought me joy through the years. I don't always write them as I love lots of other ships, but they will always be near and dear to my heart regardless of my other fandom loves.

12 WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Oh you know I never say never because I've been trying to make this year about finishing fics that absolutely should reach an ending. I found that I have 20 WIPs on AO3 that I want to find a way to finish one day (there were 22 a few months ago and one of them was started a decade ago so I am working on it). I don't want to close the door on unfinished fics because at this point I'd like to say never say never to the reaching an ending.

13 Writing strengths? I love world building and working through the dynamics of a relationship between two characters. My favorite types to write are characters who aren't perfect and have flaws, who make mistakes and then spent time trying to untangle the messes they have gotten themselves into as it's fun to dip into their heads and see what they want to say/do. So for me I think it's fun to step in and see where the characters take me. I'm also good at cliffhangers apparently lol.

14 Writing weaknesses? I tend to get frustrated when there's no response in general to my writing. I'd like to say I rise above it, but when there's literally no response or likes to something it makes me second guess what I'm doing and reconsider if something is worth continuing. In a lot of instances in WIPs when I had no engagement I felt as if it wasn't worth pursuing because people weren't responding to it and those who were were offering up hate to just simply troll. It's a sad day when the trolls are the ones speaking up in fandom, but when it reaches that point where no one else has anything nice to say it stifled the creative process. Maybe that's not a writing weakness, but that's something that really has been bothering me as of late with writing/art in general. If you want a 'technical' answer I think my biggest weakness is I get these 'big' ideas that go beyond where my time allows and I want to see them all through but sometimes veer off into other stories because the idea is so big I'm focused too hard on how to make it 'perfect' in it's execution.

Set after the events of Loki, where Loki returns to his original timeline, giving everything he’s ever left behind another shot. He certainly did not expect his brief departure to cause a rift between the Avengers— but he’s not complaining when it effectively brings him closer to a certain brown-eyed genius who keeps his mind off what he’s lost.

Fifth time’s the charm (Ludwig Dieter/Vanderohe)

The whole team (sans Martin and Cummings- seriously do we even consider them part of the team?) pulls off the heist like they should have on the fifth loop. This is a story of where they go from there because time loop is canon and Vanderohe and Dieter deserve a happy ending.

Life in Technicolor (Logan/Peter Maximoff)

DOFP, but Peter tags along and sleeping arrangements are a tricky thing. It ends up working out (probably) for the best.

Two Halves of the Same Whole (Logan/Peter Maximoff)

Soulmates. The foreign concept crashes into Logan with almost startling clarity. Definitely something, or rather, someone, much more trouble than they’re worth. Then again, Logan usually feels the same about most things. Especially if he sits on the other end of the equation.

I Like The Way (Logan/Peter Maximoff)

“Thanks mate,” the speedster laughs, shaky, hands curled into fists and braced on Logan’s chest. He doesn’t let go until Logan does, snorting and clapping his shoulder and telling him to be more careful. There’s a scant of longing more salient than the last. Stay. It seems to say. Logan’s heart flips a little helplessly. He turns to leave anyway.

4 What fandoms do you write for? *check list and thinks it through* I mainly write for Marvel and X-Men- they are also the fandoms which I see myself continuing to write for at this point. Other fandoms I've dabbled in include JW, AOTD.

5 Do you respond to comments? Yup! I happen to love comments.

6 Fic with the angstiest ending? Zilch, and it's probably going to stay that way.

7 Fic with the happiest ending? Literally all of 'em.

8 Do you get hate? No hate and I'm hoping it stays that way.

9 Do you write smut? Yes, but don't expect lots of it. For me, writing smut is like pulling teeth.

Far away you were made in a sea just like me Pt 1 of Hemispheres. This was supposed to be a Loki/Tony one-shot, and haha fooled me, it's turned into a long WIP that I will eventually finish when my brain is willing to cooperate.

Supernaut Part 1 of Light a candle, light a motive. This, too, was supposed to be a one-shot and somehow turned into a WIP of individual fics that are connected by universe but not necessarily being written in order. This is Loki/Tony with a side character of Nebula. The other ships include Bucky/Steve, Thor/Darcy, Bruce/Jane, Clint/Nat. Yes, it's pre and post-Endgame, yes it is a fix-it. It even has Morgan, but uh. She's not Tony and Pepper's. She's still Tony's...just not Pepper's.

(Mis)Understanding and a No-Good Woman One of my first fics posted up to AO3. Scott Summers/Logan. Logan doesn't understand personal space in the bathroom of a bar.

Hey Jealousy Takes place during Thor Ragnarok. It's an exchange between Loki and Bruce involving Bruce wearing Tony's way too tight jeans and Loki's not happy reaction to Bruce being in Tony's pants. It always surprises me that this one is as popular as it is.

4 What fandoms do you write for?

Marvel - not just MCU but kind of all of Marvel. Comic'verse, Fox X-Men 'verse, MCU. Kind of all over the place. I have dabbled in Stranger Things and will want to eventually do more Steddie for that - I have some more planned, just not written yet. I've done one tiny Hannibal drabble, but as much as I love the series, I don't see me writing more for it. I'd love to eventually try my hand at some other series or movies I love (Peaky Blinders? Maybe? American Gods, perhaps. Versailles? That would be a challenge but fun. Velvet Goldmine - I still have an idea for that that I've had since Livejournal days, but I just have never written it).

5 Do you respond to comments?

Always.

6 Fic with the angstiest ending?

This is going to be a toss-up between:

Got a telephone call from Istanbul Tony + Rhodey, a variety of telephone conversations between them, and the last time Rhodey's on the phone talking to Tony.

and

You are the ghost behind my eyes Steve/Tony, post-Endgame, Steve returning to the past and finding out just why he shouldn't have done that.

and

Sunset Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., during the Framework episodes, this is Framework Grant Ward, Framework Antoine Triplett, and Framework Holden Radcliffe in the last moments on the beach before the Framework is completely erased.

and

Time After Time Fox X-Men'verse, Scott Summers/Logan, meshing together X-Men 3 and The Wolverine (the second one, not the Origin movie).

7 Fic with the happiest ending?

I write almost exclusively happy endings, so I'm not really sure which I could consider my happiest ending. Perhaps my readers should chime in and tell me what they think my happiest ending is.

8 Do you get hate?

I did once on a fic - it's a Steve/Loki fic that also has a side order of Winteriron, and I was told by stuckygirl that she hoped I was raped and that I should kill myself. Then on the first chapter of Part 3 Hemispheres, I was told that clearly I'd abandoned the fic (by some other random person who'd been praising all the other parts of this series) and that was "too bad." Even though I'd already told this reader that I was still working on the fic but slowly. Not really hate, but the bitch still annoyed me with that.

9 Do you write smut?

I do. Not a ton of it most of the time, but I do write it, but I imagine it's not overly popular smut because I don't write BDSM or fetishes or omegaverse or any of that stuff. 10 Have you ever co-written a fic?

Actually I've co-written a couple of fics with @scottxlogan. We even have two we're in the middle of co-writing (but I need to do my part on both of them, I think - or at least one of them, but my brain has been so muddy lately for writing that I'm behind on writing as well as reading all the fics I want to read, and I hate that).

Falling in love as the world falls down Scott/Logan, a Secret Santa gift for @cerylid Mission gone wrong, Emma (and others) save the day.

The course of true love never did run smooth Scott/Logan, Loki/Tony, only it doesn't start out that way. Two couples on the outs who think to make each other jealous. Once again, Emma comes in and saves the day. Sort of. This one is a personal favorite, especially with all the Midsummer Night's Dream quotes as chapter titles.

The two we're working on very slowly - one is a Bucky/Loki Veterinarian AU, Alpine features heavily. The other is huge, Pride-themed, Scott/Logan, Loki/Emma, Tony/Steve/Bucky...and so many other characters involved. We'll definitely have to break this one into chapters, but it's fun.

11 All time favorite ship?

No. I have too many favorite ships, and I multi-ship, so I can't really pick a favorite.

12 WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

All American Barbecue. It's a reactive piece to Bendis' Avengers vs. X-Men. Sort of...AvX Meets Wicker Man and it's not going to have a happy ending for Steve Rogers.

Humor, Fluff, Descriptions, and Easter Eggs.

Finishing shit in a timely fashion due to lack of brain juice.

In my childhood, I was lied to (insert laughter) or better yet I let the influence of a commercial which was made up to look so magical, but in reality you had to use your imagination and normally you know as kids we could, but not to that extent. Tales of the crystals is a cute concept. Maybe even a very girly version of DND 🤷🏽‍♀️ or Ren Faire. I don’t know but truly unless you had like a massive house or a massive yard and someone who was willing to help you, it wasn’t that magical.

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.

So I do a lot of book suggestion with my public libraries because, well, I'm a big reader and I can't buy all of the books, no matter how much i might want to.

Anyway, it always completely baffles me when, with series - especially when its in ebook form where you can see fairly easily on Libby whether or not there is another installment after the one you're currently reading - *I* have to suggest the next book for it to be picked up.

And not in a 'why is the librarian not buying it' way, but rather in a 'why are people not asking for it????'

For exemple, I've been reading a series of like 5-6 books total. I suggested my library get the first ebook, suggestion got accepted, i read the book and liked it well enough. About 10-ish people were in the hold queue. Of course that doesn't mean they actually liked it but whatever.

I suggested the second book, and because of the nature of ebooks reservation, some people got to read it before me. Ok fine. I read it, about 6-7 people are on the hold queue when i finish it.

Guess what? No one asked for the third book.

For EVERY book in the series, i had to ask for the next one and i'm just...

For people to read it before me, they had to have an alert on the book so they would know when it becomes available at once. Cuz obviously I have those alerts, but even just checking 5 minutes after the notification, there would be at least 2-3 people with a hold on the book already.

And its not even a 'oh, the library will get the ebooks at a certain time every months/few months so that's why it wasn't available yet'

I finished the second to last book of the series recently. It had been available since like october-ish. I had actually started back then, but since I'm not a fan of reading ebooks, I couldnt finish the book in time, so into the hold queue I went.

I know that public library. I know how often they get their ebook. If anyone had asked for the last book, it would be available already.

It wasn't.

Do people not know they can suggest books? Is the process too obscure for them?

Anyway, there is no point to this post except to say, my good peeps, you can make books (or dvds or games or whatever kind of item your public library offer) suggestion! You usually can do it online!

If you can't find where exactly, usually just googling 'purchase suggestion' or 'reccomand a title' with the name of your public library will get you to the right page

And if you're still not sure, you should ask your librarian, they'll be happy to tell you how!

you know, you know. no gods, no masters, no kings on pedestals. everyone is fallible. death of the author. you know! you are balanced about your intake of media - you allow the wiggle room, the grace, the gratitude, the skepticism. nobody above criticism.

but still. a weird gut-punch feeling, something akin to betrayal. you read the article. surprise! an author you love is actually: a serial fucking predator.

well, shit. what now. no, you knew he was a person (all people are), but now you're wondering - what have i overlooked by accident? what messages have i internalized that are strange and cruel? and also, like, what the fuck?

his actions lay a thick glaze on top of everything. like each place is now ruined, opaque in a new way. but okay, fine, you've done this before. you knew better, right? you've been betrayed by many a cherished childhood author.

still, this stickiness. fuck. can you pick up that book again. will you read it to your children. you've recommended it to others - will you ever do that again? and of course, of course, no parasocial relationships. you were theoretically above this kind of sentiment. but the artist informs the art, right.

so it's not something as clear-cut as feeling he owed you, specifically (a stranger) better behavior - just that you kind of, in a distant and odd way... sort of trusted him to do better. it's not like a real trust or something speakable, just the faint hope that the product (good books) was a thin representation of the soul. now it feels like the product (good? books?) was a mask. in some small or insignificant way, your previous support of this person lent them power. your money and your time and your laughter.

and the thing is - you have this terrible, echoing sensation. how many times will this happen? over and over. you find out that the singer you love is actually a predator. you learn over drinks that your favorite high school english teacher is in jail for what he did to her. you listen to the news idly and suddenly discover that a woman you used to idolize has been abusing her kids for an actual eon.

what can you touch without the static melting off. you can't even really complain about it too much (you were supposed to know better, and besides, you don't want the same re-split "it's not your fault, love what you love" basic advice), but now it's here. somehow, it feels like - you let him into your life.

it's not that things need to be pure or an artist has to be like, endlessly perfect, mindful. demure. it's more just this terrible truth that has been replayed through your veins so often it feels criminally vain. power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. did you want any one person to be worth that power?

it's just that he wrote books where he seemed to understand that. he seemed to know about hierarchies and unfair systems and bigotry and privilege. you thought they were books about what it means to struggle. you thought they were about having power and still using it for good rather than for control. he spooned you a narrative of being a good guy, a kind soul. you fucking bought what that fucking monster sold.

maybe that's why they were fantasies, after all.

I am begging people to stop demanding more from authors, and insisting that one shots need to be longer or have sequels.

I don't think yall understand how many fanfic authors are one more "where's the rest of it?" comment away from throwing out any plans they might have had to continue an idea.

Unless an author like specifically says they might write more for an idea, just-- assume something marked as completed is complete, and respect it as it stands, please.
