soundwave and shockwave eyes didn't turn red until optimus banished them from iacon.. do you guys think it's because they felt wronged by what happened and considered his action as an act of betrayal to their aid, since they no longer believe in the leadership of the primes, and—strictly, from their perspective—knowingly continue the system that sentinel use to commit his cruelty without scrutiny ( the "divine" ruler aspect where his words are law and history ).

like i think having to pretend this is a 100% platonic trust exercise in fraternal wound-tending and that it only looks erotic because they both happen to be hot guys who bleed real pretty would just make the whole thing hornier, tbh

A little blabbering about the art under the cut.

Paris wears more red and pink attire, so I used those colors on his clothing, but added a purple shoulder-cloak to reminisce about the previous Emperor's influence. The background is purple because of the Emperor too.

I tried to use decorations such as roses and leaves, since the rose is the Empire's official flower. I also tried to make the clothing similar to the 18th-century style in Russia and France, but I don't think I quite achieved it. The crown/tiara, however, does look a bit like the Devonshire Diamond Tiara, even though I used the Empire's colors for it. And I added as much gold jewelry as I could, because... Paris.

Stumbled upon this wandering around my messy photo folder on my laptop. It's from september 2019. I had just gotten a graphic tablet and was experimenting with the drawing program (Sketchbook). It was few months after (re)discovering TOP.

i've been going to the same hairdresser since i was like 13. even now, now that i moved like an hour away, i still wait until i can get a ride to her shop. she's exactly the kind of little old lady you'd think was transphobic but i showed up with a beard and mustache one day saying hi my name is different but you've known me for like most of a decade and she was like "cool!!! lemme braid your hair now"

Homecoming is in the fall, includes a football game, and is meant for alumni to come back and visit, but the dance is for current students only. Prom is in late spring, it is usually the last dance of the year, often is only for the two highest grades, and is typically much fancier than homecoming. In my school, homecoming was a much sluttier event than prom. Both have an elected king and queen of the dance, both are very large events in a high school life, but prom has more weight.

One trend I’ve always loathed is the one where people rewatch nostalgia tv shows/movies and then get on twitter to say some variation of “HOW did I never realize [Friend of the Protagonist who Has Flaws but is still ultimately Likable] is actually the DEVIL and [Antagonist Character Designed to be Awful] did NOTHING wrong!” Like I’m sorry what do you mean you love HSM1 Sharpay Evans but think Lily Moscovitch from the princess diaries needs to be punched in the face 😭 “Movie Villain vs Actual Villain” ENOUGH

Also like. The way Matty tells him she knows he’s more human than he’d have us believe. The way that you can tell it makes him SO uncomfortable and yea he does a decent job of hiding it but you can see it in his body language, the tension- he hates being reminded that he has all the same human failings as the rest of us. Those failings being compassion and altruism and the like lol

He’s got this carefully crafted persona (among others, each to fit an alias of his own creation) that he manages to keep up for most everyone around him.

He wants to be seen as a threat and so he is. Partially because he actually IS but also bc he leans so heavily into the unfeeling, cruel killer vibe.

He does this on purpose. And yea, some of it is just how he is, but a lot of it is him playing into everyone’s existing assumptions about him.

I do think that Murdoc is simultaneously both aware of the way he uses other peoples beliefs about him to construct his personality and also somehow oblivious to the fact that he does this just like how everyone else is a sum of their interactions with other people.

I think even he doesn’t realize how human he is sometimes, having denied that narrative of existence for so long. He forgets that he is just as human as the rest of us and he’s not happy about being reminded of it-

But like with every emotion he expresses, it’s done through several intricate layers of deceit.

He doesn’t really know if he remembers the last time he was open and earnest about any of his feelings-

Prior to me, anyway…

Something about me just.. made it easy to talk to me. Too easy. At first, he thought perhaps it was the anonymity of a computer screen between us. But as time went on and we learned more about each other (him finding out waaaayy more about me,at first, than I did about him) he realized that it was something about me specifically.

He couldn’t quite put his finger on it but something about me was just enrapturing to him. He found himself baring his feelings to me about stupid, mundane stuff that he wouldn’t have to anyone else, in a million years.

It really was little things but those little things were so earnest in comparison to his usual deceptive behavior. He would tell me about how his day was, on the days when he didn’t have a hit to carry out, so he didn’t have to lie to me. He wanted to be able to be as honest as possible with me. That feeling in and of itself baffled him beyond comprehension.

And yet he kept doing it. Murdoc kept giving me little bits and pieces of his truth and I kept them with great care.

When we finally did meet up in person, it struck him, how much of an effect I had on him. How vulnerable I made him feel in some ways. And many months ago, before he’d encountered me, this feeling would’ve probably caused him to kill me- eliminating the source of his vulnerability.

But he was in too deep now. There was no way he could bring himself to kill me. Absolutely no way.

And it hit him, Matty had been right-

he was far more human than he’d ever let anyone know.
