Trump is the most dishonest, corrupt, self serving, manipulative president of all time. He is high in the ranking worldwide. What has he done since he got into office? He fired almost 20 inspectors general. He gutted the aviation security agency, TSA, and FAA. He pardoned his shadow white supremest militia. He fired dozens of FBI employees. He’s purged DOJ. He’s allowed a foreign billionaire to hack the Treasury Department, giving access to every Americans personal information and access to the $6 trillion dollars of U.S. taxpayer dollars. He nominated and the Republican senate confirmed, known authoritarian murdereous dictator sympathizer, Tusi Gabbard, a woman who was on a flight watchlist regarding associations with American adversaries, to lead our intelligence agencies.
He’s asking for the resignation of 3,000 CIA agents now, demanding documents from the FBI, on behalf of his involvement in the January 6th 2021, election interference and seditious conspiracy, riot case, that he promoted, organized and led, be turned over, and requesting any agent that worked on the case be fired, mind you this was the largest criminal investigation ever undertaken due to its sheer scale and size, and threat that its impact would have to our representative democratic constitutional republic, that this was the first attempted seizure of the capital since the early 1800’s, who’s primary legal obligation was to make an example for the consequences that occur when one assaults an officer of the law, when one desecrates a federal building, particularly the capital, and when one tries to stop a constitutionally mandated congressional procedure, in an attempt to overturn the election, a case that in one way or another involved hundreds of agents on over a 1,000 separate cases, which accounts for almost 75% of the workforce would have had contact with it. (Wew! That was quite a sentence! 😅)
Less than a month ago if id told you this story it would have been interpreted as the ramblings of a crazed liberal, brainwashed by the vast and all powerful left wing media apparatus that had warped my mind into some Marxist sphere of delusion.
Yet here we are…
You don’t need to be a top notched intelligence expert to see what’s going on. This lunge towards coverup and away from accountability is clearly visible. Why would someone oppose fact checking? Because they want to lie. Why does someone remove individuals tasked with investigating fraud and corruption? Because you wouldn’t want to get caught committing fraud and corruption. Why does someone want to eliminate those tasked with asserting whether you committed crimes or not? If you were innocent wouldn’t you await the day you could clear your name? You do that when you want to hide what your involvement was.
Why would someone violate the Constitution, dissolve essential agencies and fill them with loyalists, take over independent law enforcement agencies with loyalists, and release a shadow military force through pardons? Because they intend to overthrow and usurp an entire country’s constitutional government and claim rule of it as an emperor.
This is a coup.
He’s not a king, he just plays one in TV. Just because he’s a criminal doesn’t mean he can break the law. He’s not a dictator but a clown in a circus of his own making. The executive branch is but one part of a multilayered system. Remember when Biden declared that the equal rights act was “officially the law of the land.”? That was an executive order also and everyone just blew it off as non binding and ceremonial. His EO’s are the exact same thing.
Just a criminal trying to get away with crimes. Just a conman working his con. Just a clown in the circus.

What do you think about the possibility that the discourse between fans regarding Mari's behaviour is because people see her from two different perspective: realism and narrative.
What i mean by that is kinda like: People argue about Mari's S1 behaviour in S6, stalker and creepy and stuff. Some People said its because she's a teen with a lot of pressure (realism perspective), and there's also people who's sick of her being her S1 self again (narrative perspective).
You're talking about Doyalistic vs Watsonian analysis. That can definitely be a big source of disconnect when people are discussing media for all the reasons laid out in the linked post. Marinette is a great example of this disconnect in action with blogs like mine saying that everything is a writing problem while other blogs take her actions at face value and treat her like a real person.
As always, I'm not going to say that people who take a Watsonian approach are terrible because stories want you to take a Watsonian approach! You're supposed to get lost in the story and feel like the world and the characters are real. People who have strong reactions to canon are those who are doing what you're meant to do with stories.
The problem with the Watsonian approach is that Miraculous simply is strong enough to support it and you can see that just by looking at the type of feelings Miraculous is generating in fans. Generally speaking, Warsonian analysis is about embracing what the writers are trying to do. It's about taking canon and making it work in spite of the flaws. As the linked post says:
Watsonian explanations are implicitly charitable. You are implicitly buying into the notion that there is a good in-world reason for what you're seeing on screen or on the page.
This is a problem because Watsonian analysis for Miraculous often leads to the characters looking like awful people because they do genuinely awful things. Things that should upset you! But that's very clearly not what the writers are trying to do with these characters. We're supposed to like Marinette! If you don't, then we've got a problem on our hands, but it's not you. It's the writing.
If Watsonian analysis makes you come to conclusions opposite to what the story is very clearly trying to do, then there are probably massive issues with the writing and you should give up on Wastonian analysis if you want to stay sane when watching canon. Come join me in Doylistic analysis land instead! It's still exhausting at times, but at least there are real people you can be annoyed at instead of purely fictional ones who don't actually have any control over their actions.

Juggling Multiple POVS (Writing Like A Movie)
At one point in a WIP, I had one character being held captive, two characters on a quest to bust them out, two characters racing to join the jailbreakers, four with no idea any of this is going on because they think they’re all dead, and then of those four, two split off on a side quest, and the remaining two also split off on various other tasks.
If you’re keeping track, that meant I had a book rotating between 6 different subplots and about 9 POVS at the absolute worst, and then about 4 subplots once characters finally reunited with each other.
It was… a lot.
Now this was never published so I don’t know how well it would have been received but it was a sequel and its predecessors received good feedback so I think I know what I’m doing.
When you’re committing to a book with Multiple POV, you’ve generally got two roads you can go down: predetermined narrators or ~cinematic~.
You can select a set number of characters to narrate regardless of how many exist in your ensemble cast, and no matter how many split off on their own subplots, those predetermined narrators will be keeping up with the story. These types of books tend to have shorter chapters and single narrators for chunks of chapters at a time with no cutting in between and fairly long breaks in between a character’s chunks of POV. Or, they have entire sections of book dedicated to them with clear markers between POVS.
The easy example here is Heroes of Olympus that I believe had up to 4 narrators per book despite a main cast of about 8 characters depending on the book. The first two were 3-POV, for each of the 3 questers, and then once the whole party was together the POVS were determined by who split off into which groups. Rather infamously, in my opinion, the last book of the series did not give a POV to the two legacy characters and the former protagonist of the first series, which was… a choice. I think the point was that Riordan gave them their spotlight in book 4 and was passing the torch to the new batch for book 5, but for many of us, who had no idea we’d never get a POV of these two again, it was mighty disappointing.
These books also had no chapter titles and instead had banner-style chapters where you had NICO or PIPER in massive banners over the start of each chapter, which was also a choice as going without chapter titles (or even numbers, they’re in roman numerals) makes it a lot harder to search things up in books 500+ pages long.
Who narrates when is less determined by who the most important character of the chapter is, for the most part. It might be Hazel’s moment, but she’s not a narrator of this book, so it’s in Piper POV (or Nico’s forced coming out moment in Jason POV which I will never forgive Riordan for). It’s just a dice roll of whoever it lands on which can lead to some moments, like the Nico incident, that really should have been in Nico POV, but the structure of the story demanded otherwise.
I don’t really love this style of multiple POV. Personally, I think it’s rather inflexible and doesn’t take full advantage of what MPOV can do. But that’s personal opinion so here’s some strengths:
It doesn’t jump around as much and with a minimal set of narrators, it’s more streamlined. You know what to expect going in with no surprises
It forces the author to get creative within the bounds of the POV they’re stuck in
The extra time with a single narrator can be a solid guide rail through a complicated plot piece
Or, you can write a more ~cinematic~ MPOV. I don’t know the proper term for this, if it exists, but this style of MPOV is when you basically free-for-all. Anyone can narrate whenever the scene demands and this either grants you a book with short chapters, but one narrator per short chapter, or multiple narrators within a single chapter, as you’d film a movie or an episode of TV with multiple perspectives per set piece.
This isn’t a random grab-bag of narrators. It demands a lot of restraint. This kind of MPOV is entirely based on who is the most important character of the scene, or who’s POV would be the most interesting to view the scene through.
ENNS is written in cinematic MPOV, with a far smaller rotating cast than the WIP I mentioned at the top of this post. It starts out slow with the protagonist for the first two chapters as the only narrator, then mid-chapter 3, I give a cue that he’s going to be unable to narrate the next bit, and I switch to my deuteragonist. I don’t give banner headings. I don’t give my characters entire chapters because the POV structure demands it. I just start whichever POV with the narrator’s name within the first 1-3 sentences. If that means one character has an entire chapter to themselves, then at this point in the story, their arc is the most important thing to be focusing on.
In the WIP at the top of the post, it was book 3 of a series which gave me some freedom. Namely that most of those 9 POVs were established characters you’d already be familiar with. I wasn’t throwing my audience into the deep end with 9 strangers and demanding they try to keep up with 6 subplots of equally confusing and unknown characters.
Cinematic MPOV should rely less on “who hasn’t narrated in a while let’s give it to them” and more “who would be the most interesting narrator for this moment”. You could have a villain POV, a one-off that might never narrate again, or a tertiary character who isn’t doing the most action in the scene, but has the richest commentary on what’s going on.
It does demand restraint. If anyone can pick up the narrator hat, then you could find yourself splitting off into unnecessary subplots. Not every piece of the story must be told and letting readers imagine what’s going on behind closed doors is sometimes better than detailing it all out. I could give a captive or missing character some POVS, or I could let the audience anxiously stew with the rest of the cast wondering if they’re even still alive.
In some books I’ve read, the deliberate choice to not let readers see into the mind of a character as they make important decisions, left on the outs with their friend or lover or relative, is maddeningly entertaining. They won’t explain themselves to the people who care about them, and they won’t explain themselves to the audience, either.
Or, you can let a side character have the spotlight for a scene or two as we see our favorites through their eyes, possibly in a way they’ve never been depicted before. A’s lover B might describe them as strong and brash. A’s old rival C might describe those same actions completely differently.
In terms of who narrates when, like the 9-POV monster I had going, I had key moments of every POV that had to hit the book's physical layout at specific times. Like episodes of TV, I needed certain scenes and moments and reveals to fit within specific chapters, not dangling off on either end.
I had to remember the time scale that all of this was happening on so every scene that was meant to happen simultaneously actually read like it was all going on at once. I had some chapters with the “A” group of narrators, then skipped them for a chapter for the “B” group of narrators for their scenes. Keeping the pacing as frenetic as it needed to be wasn’t easy, but if you can pull it off, I think it can be quite entertaining.
Some things to keep in mind with MPOV:
Don’t retread the same scenes or conversations. I read a fanfic a very long time ago that had I think 10 different takes on one character’s death with the dialogue copy-pasted over and over again and it was exhausting. If you want to have a character reflect on a previous scene, pull the specific lines as they remember them.
Unless messing up the timeline is the point of the story or you make it very clear that a scene happens before the present, don’t let POVs muck up the continuity. If plot happens on a Wednesday and the next scene is more important plot that happens that previous Tuesday, you might confuse your readers on when everything is meant to be happening.
Sometimes not knowing is better. Prequels tend to fail because whatever fans imagined happening is way better than what the writers explicitly show happening. Practice restraint.
Unless your story is paced very slowly, try not to have POVS butt up right against each other every time. In an action set piece, everything happens in sequence with zero black space between them. But a whole book with zero room to breathe can get tiring to read. Books with a single narrator have scene breaks and mini time skips, not every single part of your characters’ day has to be detailed.
If you don’t have banners, make it clear as quickly as possible who the new narrator is. Eventually, if your narration is distinct enough for each character, you can go a paragraph or two and your audience will know who it is anyway just based on how they think.
If these are all unknown characters, try to hop around minimally at first until you establish a clear protagonist, otherwise your readers might get lost on who the focus of the story is meant to be and lose which character is doing or thinking what.
*ETA: I forgot: typically with multiple narrators for a single “group”, like two characters stuck on a side quest together, I try to flip-flop their POVS. For example, if I have D and E with a whole chapter to themselves, the POV structure would go D E D E. To my eyes, it looks better, as they have equal share of the action. I try very hard to not let any one narrator have back-to-back POVS unless the narrative demands otherwise. But that’s just me.
This is personal opinion on what I think works. If you’re struggling on maintaining pacing or clarity with your ensemble cast, consider the above points. Hope this helps!

Hope this isn't a weird question but from personal observation, why don't plantlife other than weeds seem to reproduce on their own in people's yards? I have observed for quite a long time and it seems like a very weird thing to happen. I don't know if it has something to do with what people do while gardening, but from what I do with my garden, I never intentionally remove seeds etc that could grow, not that I've ever even seen any. So, new plantlife (other than annoying weeds) never show up on their own. That seems so weird. What does this have to do with writing? Well it'd be nice to have characters who come across new surprises in their gardens every now and then when non weeds decide to settle there. That should very well be possible and sounds just natural... I just don't get why it never actually happens in real life. I've even asked people and they've never had anything nice that just decided to settle on its own. No one could say why though and thought my question was interesting. Oh, and about weeds. But why the wilderness doesn't get overrun by weeds yet people aren't weeding them I think? Yet in people's abandoned gardenss are full of weeds.
Tex: Things generally won’t reproduce if you keep killing them every time you see them - this is what pesticides and herbicides do, which are just some pretty words for environmental poisons that end up affecting all other plant life around it. Man-made poisons can sit in the ground for decades, which is why it’s generally advised not to grow plants made for eating on golf courses, and the soil needs at least a decade of remediation before it’s considered in the realm of safe for interaction, much less agriculture or remanding the land back to nature.
“Annoying weeds” serve an ecological and cultural purpose. The following plants are used as examples, pulled from the The Spruce as cited “weeds”. Much of this information is drawn from memory, or the accompanying Wikipedia pages, which are numerous and easily found:
The long tap root of dandelion aerate the soil, reduce erosion, are frequently eaten, used for medicinal purposes, and encourage pollination and diverse insect and wildlife.
Chickweed is edible for both humans and livestock such as chickens and mountain sheep - which will bring dung that fertilizes the soil and remineralizes it, when not also being used as a folk medicine.
Plantain breaks up hardpan, prevents soil erosion, can be eaten by humans (the young leaves are high in calcium), and also used medicinally.
Ragweed is from the wormwood family, which while it can incite allergies, is also used medicinally to treat intestinal parasites (although too much can cause hallucinations), when not being used to pull lead from the soil.
Bindweed can be used for folk medicine to treat hypotension due to its glycoside content (side effect of being toxic to mice).
Ground ivy, and also deadnettle, are part of the Lamiaceae family, which is related to mint and sage. The former can be used for beer brewing, medicine, and as a rennet substitute for making cheese. The latter are unrelated to stinging nettle (their name only means that they are considered “dead” in comparison), and function as sometimes ornamental groundcover, which is useful for preventing soil erosion.
The purslane family is quite edible to humans, and can be fed to livestock such as chickens, when not being a source of food for some types of moths, which increases biodiversity.
Stinging nettle is very nutritious and can be used in folk medicine for things like arthritis, when not also being used as a source to make textiles.
Yellow dock is related to buckwheat, and indeed the seeds can be ground into a flour. It’s also high in iron, so can be used medicinally (to some degree) to treat anemia, as well as a wider array of uses.
Wild madder is from the Rubiaceae family, which also contains bedstraw (historically used to stuff mattresses) and coffee. Plants with madder in the name are typically used to dye textiles, and its long tap root - similar to dandelion - also helps break up the soil and allow aeration.
White clover fixes nitrogen in the soil, outcompetes weeds, and is also edible. Additionally, the flowers can be smoked recreationally, and the leaves assist with the curing of a tapeworm infection.
Jewelweed is fungicidal, and its saponins can - if used carefully - treat poison ivy rashes. The young shoots can be rendered into a potherb, but it’s not recommended due to the oxalic content.
Staff vine (some cultivars) can be used for rope-making, basket-making, and some livestock can eat it without any ill effects.
Horsetail (some cultivars) is edible for humans, though can cause toxicity in large amounts to grazing animals such as horses (name of no relation to this phenomena, but to how it looks). In small amounts if can be medicinal.
Canadian thistle is from the Asteraceae family, and is related to daisies. It has a long tap root that is edible to humans, can be used to make gin, and has also been used to fletch blowgun darts.
Quackgrass, or couchgrass, is native to most continents on the planet and is thus a common food source for grazing animals and also many types of birds and some types of butterflies. This, then, increases biodiversity.
Shepherd’s purse has the distinctive ability to lure and eat nematodes, which fertilize the soil. It is edible by both humans and livestock, and can be used in folk medicine.
Wood sorrel (multiple cultivars) has a significant amount of oxalic acid, but its leaves can be eaten by humans after some preparation.
Mallow (multiple cultivars) is edible to humans, and can be used medicinally.
Lamb’s quarters, also called goosefoot or wild spinach, is from the Amaranthaceae, and is related to spinach, beets, chard, amaranth, plumed cockscomb, and quinoa. It can be cultivated in lieu of spinach as a vegetable crop, can be fed to livestock, and the juice of the plant has been attested to make wall plaster.
Pigweed is related to lamb’s quarters, as it is from the same Amaranthaceae family. They are often considered nutritious, though may need some preparation to be used as a vegetable.
Nutsedge, or tiger nut, is quite often eaten, and the oil can be considered a biofuel.
Dayflower is widely used as a medicines and dye, and can be eaten by both humans and livestock.
Velvetleaf can be used to for rope-making, paper-making, and caulk. It’s also edible to humans, and used in folk medicine.
Wild violet is a main food source for many bees and butterflies, increasing biodiversity. It can be used for medicine, but other cultivars are more often utilized.
Smartweed is from the Polygonaceae family, which makes it related to buckwheat and also knotweed. It is an important food source and habitat for many types of birds, and can be used in folk medicine.
Quickweed, like Canadian thistle, is also from the Asteraceae family. It is edible to humans, and can be eaten either in soup or a salad.
Pokeweed, also known as pigeonberry weed or inkberry, is edible to songbirds, which increases biodiversity. While toxic to mammals, it can be used medicinally, if sometimes edible after much preparation. The berries can be used to make dye, and one cultivar is being used in biomedical research.
Black nightshade, despite its toxicity, can be eaten depending on the cultivar and level of preparation required (tread carefully!), and has a long historical usage as a folk medicine.
Black medic, also known as hop clover, is from the Fabaceae family (aka legumes, peas, and beans), but is most closely related to the other clover genera Trifolium and Melilotus, and is closely related to alfalfa. It fixes nitrogen in the soil, and is frequently used by bees, which increases biodiversity.
Poison ivy, interestingly, is not a true ivy but rather from the Anacardiaceae family, which makes it a relative of plants such as cashews or sumac. Birds and other animals that are unaffected by urushiol often eat it, which increases biodiversity.
Barnyard grass, also known as cockspur or Japanese millet, can be used to reclaim saline and alkaline areas, can be eaten by some livestock and wild animals, and also eaten by humans.
Goosegrass is related to finger millet, the latter of which is a cereal crop, and comes from the Poaceae family, which hosts most cultivated cereal grains.
Annual bluegrass also comes from the Poaceae family, like goosegrass, and can be considered a type of fodder grass.
Hairy bittercress is from the Brassicaceae family, which makes it related to mustard and cabbage plants. It is edible to humans, and can be eaten raw or cooked.
Henbit, like ground ivy and deadnettle, comes from the Lamiaceae family. It is also edible to humans, and can be eaten raw or cooked.
Lawn burrweed, also known as field burrweed or common soliva, is from the Soliva genus, and thus related to sunflowers. It is also of the Asteraceae family, which makes it related to daisies. As its name suggests, it has burrs on it.
Bahiagrass is from the family Poaceae, liked barnyard grass, goosegrass, and annual bluegrass. It is used for forage by livestock, and controls soil erosion.
These plants are not “weeds” - what they can be, however, is disruptive to local ecologies or otherwise not considered economically important enough to utilize (many of these plants are used as food outside the United States, for example).
The wilderness does not get overridden by weeds because it has an ecosystem generally untouched by humans. This means that the potential for invasive plants is low without human interference, and many plants that do occur from outside the environment can be naturalized and used as an alternate food source by insects and animals.

I think this is worth digging into because... yes. In the arguments which feed the roots of Vs Debates this is easier to ignore - if you're ultimately arguing about metal cans shooting each other in space then you can pretend they could exist in the same world, that what they are is comparable. However, this is a pretense. We can see it shatter obviously in cases like, say, Mage the Ascension, where the entire debate hinges on which cosmology you're accepting, because mages are only limited to relatively (by Vs Debates standards) limited feats due to an actively hostile environment, or TypeMoon. Is the Death Star an A-rank mystery? Would a Space Marine landing in MtAsc Manhattan explode from paradox? The answer is asking there questions marks you as deeply deranged. Okay, but Batman is a human, right? Supposedly made out of atoms and whatever? Why can't we compare him to humans? Well, no. To sound utterly pedantic, he's a fictional character, not a human. If a human kicks a tree and it bursts apart, we can conclude 'holy shit I do not want to be kicked by them, they've got TNT thighs'. We live in a world ultimately dictated by the standard model and general relativity. It has rules. The force it takes to blow apart a tree and to cave in a man's chest are relatable. If Batman kicks a tree and it flies apart, and you flip the page thinking 'oh man, oh man batman is going to cave in a man's chest in his next fight' you'd be wrong, you fool, he's going to get held up by a bunch of untrained dudes in sweaters holding pipes. The tree is for aesthetic, for looks and metaphor and style. It's an RPG character getting an unopposed roll against a piece of scenery and the GM saying 'yeah, go for it, break apart that tree in your rage, i'm not giving you a bonus to your attack rolls in the next fight'. Now, granted, if you saw Batman get held up by a couple dudes with lead pipes and figured a squad of ten ninjas or Darkseid, evil alien god, would destroy him you'd also be wrong. This is why 'feats' and 'calcs' for Batman don't matter. They aren't predictive. The aesthetic is. Some stories have calcs which meet their aesthetic decently well - the Culture, for example - and so we can use the calcs as a lesser substitute, sometimes. Other stories, like Mage the Ascension, have feats so contextual that a Vs Debate always starts and is mostly decided by which aesthetic you're letting predominate. So what's the aesthetic of Batman against 160,000 nerds? Well, it's... nonsense. That's not a number even the most ambitious comic book writer would throw at him, just use a decently big crowd of a couple hundred, and it's such a bizarre set-up that being 'in-character' is actively confusing things. But if Batman did have to fight a big crowd, how would he do it? Probably not with his fists. If he was in an enclosed area and it wasn't 100,000+ he might punch them out, one or two at a time, ending with a panel of the bloody, bruised Caped Crusader limping out of the basement of some seedy nightclub only to collapse into the Batmobile, which drives him back to Wayne Manor. If it was a bit more open - like a theatre, huh wonder if we've seen that - he'd fight for a bit and find some trick to escape and possibly trap/disable them. If it was really open he'd grapple out or call in his Batmobile's Tesla Autopilot Mode for pickup. If it was maze-like he'd use stealth. But in a big open arena, against 100,000, it's not in Batman's aesthetic to fight them at all. Edit: If the question that comes to you after reading this is 'why are you in Vs Debates, then?' And the answer is I'm looking for a good story about who would win. Or a good joke about how. The problem is a six megajoule kick, in this thread, is a joke being treated like a story.

World Building: Stone Age Fantasy
So a while back, I created an entire fantasy setting called “Kalandero”. I also saw a video from the YouTube channel, Cleric Corner, discussing ideas for how to incorporate stone punk (a genre that features a prehistoric setting with a mix of cavemen, dinosaurs, and a variety of stone and pulley based analogs for modern technology, like the Flintstones) into dnd campaigns. This actually sparked a thought in my head about a Stone Age fantasy setting (“Stone Fantasy” for short), which lead to this post on my tumblr page:
You know something, we’ve had high fantasy, space fantasy, urban fantasy, and all that kind of crap. What about “stone fantasy”, a fantasy setting set in the Stone Age? Elves riding on the backs of pterodactyls, weresabertooths, dwarves who are master stone smiths, that kind of stuff.
(This was before I found out about the existence of the DND 5E supplement, Planegea, so… live and learn I guess.)
Anyway, this one thought sparked a whole sea of ideas for other fantasy settings, though for now, we’ll start off with the Stone Fantasy setting, a setting we’ll call The Vast Land. The Vast Land is a large island surrounded by an equally enormous sea (as far as the inhabitants of the island are concerned, this island is all there is in the world). The island is made up of mostly jungles and grasslands, with a long chain of mountains running through it like a scar (creating areas of snow and frost), with a volcano sprouting from the center of the island. Throughout the Vast Land, dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals coexist alongside the various races, hadrosaurs, ankylosaurus, and field striders (gallimimus) grazing alongside woolly mammoths and wooly rhinos in the grasslands, packs of sabertooth tigers and raptors fighting for territory along the mountain sides, pterodactyls and archaeopteryxes flitting through jungles only to be snatched by plesiosaurs passing through jungle rivers. Alongside these usual animals, the inhabitants must also face more harrowing threats, from poisonous plants, tar pits, and creatures of a more supernatural nature.
Species
Humans: Interestingly enough, this setting has the potential for the most variety of humans compared to most fantasy settings (seeing as prehistoric times were the closest Earth ever came to seeing multiple sapient creatures before they either homogenized into modern humans or were wiped out by our ancestors). Among these are the Lean Men (cro-magnon, which I thought were the direct ancestors of Homo Sapiens, but it turns out that they’re just the earliest examples of true Homo Sapiens, humanity beta if you will), who are the closest things to normal humans in a fantasy setting but caveman, Broad Backs (neanderthals) who are more brutish and muscular than other humans but are generally affable (like a friendlier version of fantasy orcs), and Pygmies (Flores Men) who are much shorter, more aggressive, living mostly in jungles, and capable of being incredibly stealthy (obviously, there were more species of ancient humans than this, but I’m just narrowing these down for simplicity sake). These different groups live in tribes all over the Vast Land, though they tend to stay away from coastal regions (such places are considered taboo), and have a fairly steady alliance with each other (though that doesn’t mean there isn’t distrust between them).
Sickle Feet: A major staple in most prehistoric settings (or dinosaur settings in general) are packs of velociraptors that rip people apart with swarm tactics. Now imagine that… but as a race. Creating intricate villages in the jungles, the sickle feet are a particularly aggressive race, being the main reason why the Pygmies are as aggressive as they are. Armed with both claws, teeth, and spears, as well as having tamed a variety of dangerous dinosaurs to act as guard beasts, they often go on raiding parties, attacking other villages with extreme ferocity. They aren’t mindless beasts, however, as they can be negotiated with, especially when there are greater threats at play such as a tyrant beast. There are also legends that the sickle feet once had a vast empire that dominated across the land, though if it existed, there’s no trace of it now.
Wilder Men: The elves of the setting, the wilder men are found throughout the Vast Land. Being people of nature, they don’t really have settlements or even villages, preferring to live in trees or caves (harkening back to elves being presented as one with nature). Willowy and covered in fine brown fur, they also fit the role of ape men seen in most Stone Age settings (especially in pulp fiction novels). They possess a deep knowledge of the various plants and animals of the Vast Land, and are skilled at creating various medicines and potions, as well as having a deeper connection with the Spirits of the Vast Land, being among the few beings who’s shamans don’t go mad from prolonged exposure to them.
Sky Hunters: The harpies of the Vast Land, Sky Hunters are actually one of the more terrifying inhabitants. Half man and half pterodactyl, they’re masters of aerial combat, holding a distinct advantage over other species. Building their villages in mountainous regions, they also tame a variety of pterosaurs to aid them in hunting and combat. This also includes the quetzalcoatlus (or as its known in the Vast Land, “the Soaring Terror”), which is a special kind of nightmare fuel in its own right (imagine having to deal with a giraffe-sized flying carnivore that can also gallop after you when it’s on the ground… and then, while in the sky, a small squadron of flying creatures jumps off its back and starts attacking you with goddamn spears). Unsurprisingly, any village that manages to form an alliance with the Sky Hunters is given a wide berth by raiders.
Touched Wolves: Wolves are a common sight in the Vast Land, from regular wolves (which are commonly tamed as hunting companions by humans) to dire wolves (which are treated as frightening monsters). However, if there’s one variety of wolf that the inhabitants of the Vast Land need to be concerned about, it’s the touched wolves. Having been granted intelligence by the Spirits of the Vast Land, they have all the strength of regular wolves and the intelligence of Stone Age humans. While they tend to be noble yet primal creatures, they also have a tendency to mob travelers, passing themselves off as regular wolves to get in close, only to reveal their true nature, revealing the hands they have in place of front paws as they grasp onto their prey and tear into them with claws and fangs.
Carved Ones: Finally, we have the Carved Ones, a race of creatures formed from carved hunks of wood and stone (basically, they’re Stone Age golems). No one is really sure where exactly they came from, though there are legends that the first carved ones were created by an ancient group of shamans to act as slaves for them, until they rebelled against their masters. Forming their own tribes, they are seen as an eerie and unsettling group by the other locals, as they neither sleep nor eat, raiding other villages for tools and weapons, and using what they’ve gathered to craft new Carved Ones. However, they can be won over with offers of tools and wood.
Monsters
Fur Beasts: Lurking in the undergrowth of the jungles and the tall grass of the plains, the fur beasts are the goblins of the Vast Land. So named for being shrouded in thick coats of fur that conceal their true figures save for a scrawny pair of arms and legs, they often scurry up towards unaware travelers and attack in packs. Anything they find on their victims, from food and tools, they take to a communal nest, mostly using the tools to reinforce the nest, having no real understanding of weapons and tools beyond “I can use rock to smash other things or chuck them at other things”. Indeed, these nests often become surprisingly large and intricate, suggesting that there might be some higher thought inside those hairy heads of theirs.
Walking Bush: When walking through the jungle, there’s always the risk of running into a walking bush. A variety of carnivorous plant, they have the ability to walk around on root-like legs, moving about to different locations in search of better hunting grounds. Whenever they find a suitable spot, they’ll crouch down to disguise themselves as regular bushes, after which, they’ll wait for prey to come close enough for them to whip out a stalk topped with a flytrap-like mouth to snatch it up. They also possess a powerful toxin that can be harvested to create poisoned arrows.
Pelt Walkers: It is an unspoken rule in the Vast Land that shamans and other magic users should be treated with caution, as they tend to be given to madness (for reasons I’ll get to soon enough). The most dangerous of these are the ones referred to as Pelt Walkers. Skilled with a knife, they are capable of expertly skinning freshly killed animals and converting the pelts into cloaks. With these cloaks, they’re capable of transforming into animals, gaining all of their abilities and strength (paired with their own intelligence), as well as becoming an animal hybrid. While most simply use their powers to steal prey from hunters, more malicious pelt walkers will use their abilities to spy on opponents, gathering information to use to their advantage.
Plains Whispers: When walking out on the plains on calm, starless nights, there’s a chance of encountering a plains whisper. Resembling floating orbs of light that occasionally manifest eyes or mouths, they often float just outside of the vision of travelers, often whispering, chattering, and giggling just for their own amusement. Whenever large numbers of plains whispers are seen floating about, that’s usually a sign that a dreaming folk is nearby.
River Brutes: The typical brutish monster of the setting, river brutes are a major threat to anyone traversing the waterways of the Vast Land. Large primordial amphibians, they often lurk just beneath the surface, waiting for prey to approach the water’s edge before bursting out from beneath, grabbing them in their stubby hands, and shoving them down their throats whole. However, river brutes prefer to target lone travelers, as the inside of their wide mouths are actually their weak spots, especially vulnerable to arrows and projectiles, making it easy for a fellow traveler to free their captured companion.
Dreaming Folk: Strange beings with an unusual air about them, the dreaming folk are the fair folk of the setting. Partially inspired by the mimih spirits of Aboriginal folklore, they’re a surprisingly intimidating sight, easily towering over most beings with their tall, lanky, unnervingly thin bodies and bright orange eyes and teal skin. Originating from a realm known as “The Dreaming”, the dreaming folk often appear in the Vast Land, usually visiting for their own amusement. However, unlike most depictions of the fair folk, the dreaming folk are actually quite friendly, joining in on hunting parties they stumble upon and even refusing to take any piece of the prey when it finally falls (apparently more interested in the thrill of the hunt than the prize itself).
Tyrant Beasts: An interesting thing about the Vast Land is that while dinosaurs do exist here, many of the larger predatory dinosaurs are long extinct, with only smaller predators like raptors and piscivores like baryonyx still kicking around. There is one exception though, and that is the tyrant beasts, the dragons of this setting. Originally just normal tyrannosaurs, they have since been transformed by magic into terrifying monsters, becoming the terror of all races. Much more monstrous than their past forms, they sport several rows of long spines running down their backs, multiple pairs of eyes running along the sides of their snouts, and the ability to unleash different breath weapons (some can breathe fire, others can breathe freezing air, and some can breathe poisonous clouds). Even the comically tiny arms t-rexes are famous for have long since vanished, having been replaced by a long, prehensile tongue tipped with a grasping appendage to grab and manipulate things, making for a terrifying image for anyone unfortunate enough to be caught by the tyrant beast and slowly dragged into its fangs filled maw. They’re also disturbingly intelligent, as well as being far stealthier than anything that size should be, often setting up elaborate ambushes to capture prey. While tyrant beasts are universally feared, many people of different species will team up to take one down when it attacks, sometimes even tracking down fire breathing beasts to steal some fire to take back to their villages.
Magic and the Spirits of Land, Sky, Sea, and Death
Magic in the Vast Land is a bit unusual to say the least. Unlike most settings, magic isn’t fully understood by the inhabitants, if anything, it’s something that’s both feared and respected. You see, in the Vast Land, magic originates from groups of spirits, each one representing an aspect of life for the people of the setting: land, sky, sea, and death. Overall, these spirits serve as elementals, fair folk, and gods of the setting, both worshipped and feared by the people of the Vast Land. Those who spend extended periods of time near places where these spirits frequent (like shamans) will learn their secrets and gain a bit of their powers… at the cost of their sanity. While they’re treated with a bit of apprehension, many understand that the spirits and their shamans are a bit of a necessity, especially during lean times. These spirits include:
Spirits of Land: Spirits that resemble a variety of spectral animals from mammoths to triceratopses. They have control over the land and the growth of plants, making them the spirits that most people will encounter.
Spirits of Sky: Spirits that resemble spectral pterosaurs. They have control over the sky and the weather.
Spirits of Sea: Spirits that resemble spectral prehistoric sea creatures from ammonites to plesiosaurs (and in some cases, even weirder creatures like anomalocaris). Having control over the sea, these spirits are seen as the most mysterious of their kind, as very few people live near the sea (considering it a no man’s land home to unknowable monsters).
Spirits of Death: Spirits that resemble a spiraling cloud of bones, they have power over death and disease, as well as the grim reapers of the setting. Ironically, these spirits are the ones that people fully understand, knowing that they only come when it’s time for them to come and only take with them what they came for.
Undead
Tar Things: Like many prehistoric settings, tar pits are a big danger in the Vast Land. While the risk of slowly drowning in tar is a major concern with tar pits, there’s another danger that lurks in these sticky black pools: tar things. Born from the souls of those that drowned in the tar pits, these undead creatures rise from their gooey graves and cobble together bodies from globs of tar and tar stained bones, ranging from humanoid and animalistic forms to shambling mounds of bones and tar. Lurching across the plains, tar things will hunt down prey with a dogged persistence, stripping their catches down to the bone, adding the remains to their mass.
Mad Spirits: The restless spirits of shamans, mad spirits are the worst possible fate of magic users. Those who completely devote themselves to the spirits (to the point of separating themselves from their own humanity) will end up transforming into mad spirits when they die. Completely divorced from their old lives, they will wander the world, terrorizing and harassing anyone they come across with an assortment of terrible powers. However, they can be reasoned with if the right rituals are performed, either appeasing them or, in some cases, being elevated to the status of a true spirit.

Honest answer, please: why did Jared already have a job ready for him (Walker), even before the end of SPN and Jensen didn't? Maybe Jensen isn't the type suited to the role of leader character, but he's still a good actor. So why? So far he has only landed brief supporting roles.
First, Jensen may have put too much time and attention campaigning a Dean-led Supernatural to WB once Jared leaves for Walker. Jensen should have been working on his branding instead. Which brings me to... .
Second, Jensen has a branding issue. I would h be a rich(er) man if I got a dollar every time a casting director said, "Yeah he's a good actor, but I don't know what to do with him."  In my experience, actors who don't learn about branding now are always going to regret it later because they're stuck and struggling.
“Actors who understand their brand are the busiest working actors.” - Amy Jo Berman, former vice president of casting for HBO
I tell aspiring actors to choose 3 words that best represent their outlook, beliefs, and general demeanor that reflect their authentic selves, for example - loyal, hardworking, insightful. From there, a clear and concise message can be crafted to convince buyers (producers, casting directors) to hire you and keep doing it because you offer them something unique that buyers can’t get elsewhere.
Look at Jensen's visual media pages and ask, what is he broadcasting?
Third, I suspect that Jensen’s team may only want him in lead roles and was soft sabotaging him as result. I’ve talked about my experience here of actors' teams calling to tell me their client will “not be doing supporting characters anymore” because if they ever to “break out” and “go lead” then they have to say “no” to playing “second banana” from here on out.   Then inevitably actors would call me to ask why I stopped bringing them in on the shows and films our company cast, and I had to tell them that their agents or managers were not pitching them for our company’s projects anymore. It's pretty devastating for actors to learn this.
So Jensen took it upon himself to call Kripke for a recurring role on The Boys.  His team begrudgingly agreed because at least The Boys has 10 million views.  Jensen repeat the process when he actively pursue Big Sky's role despite his team protest.  As you can see here, his fans agreed with Jensen's team on taking non-leading roles.
Tumblr media
With The Boys and Big Sky, Jensen is signaling that he's willing to take non-lead roles despite what his agent may say otherwise.

The Polish National Prosecutor’s Office laid out in a report published on Tuesday how the prosecution service under the previous Law and Justice (PiS) government allegedly either specially initiated or prematurely ended key investigations to serve the political interests of the ruling party.
“The law states prosecutors must be impartial and treat all citizens equally, but the last few years of functioning of the prosecution service in Poland brought many cases when this rule was broken, in a cynical manner and leading to absurd decisions,” Dariusz Korneluk, Poland’s current national prosecutor, told reporters following the release of an audit into the activity of Polish prosecutors between 2016-2023.
The report is the first part of a larger study ordered by the national prosecutor last year looking into around 600 alleged instances of politicised prosecution under the previous nationalist-populist government. In the section of the analysis published on Tuesday, the first batch of 200 cases was presented.
From 2015-2023, the PiS government undertook a number of controversial reforms to extend government control over the judicial system’s workings and personnel. The Court of Justice of the European Union (ECJ) issued several separate rulings in which it declared those reforms were contrary to the principle of judicial independence enshrined in EU law. The current liberal-democratic government was elected in late 2023 on a promise to investigate alleged abuses of office committed by PiS and its allies while in power.
Justice Minister and Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar received the first part of the report on December 31 and announced it would be published in the coming weeks. “Today I received the first part – counting about 200 pages – of a detailed report prepared by the National Prosecutor’s Office, looking at proceedings taking place between 2016-2023, for which there was a suspicion of political influence on their evolution and decisions made in relation to them,” Bodnar wrote on X on December 31.
“After a preliminary review of the findings, it can be concluded that the prosecution service was suffering from a systemic illness during the period under review,” Bodnar posted, adding that many cases had been conducted in an “unreliable manner” and would have to be reevaluated by independent prosecutors.
“The report will also be the basis for disciplinary liability, and in some cases criminal liability, in the cases of those prosecutors who violated their professional oath by making decisions contrary to the gathered evidence but instead implementing political orders or expectations,” Bodnar vowed.
Among the most prominent cases detailed in the report released on Tuesday are two referring to allegations of corruption or wrongdoing against PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski. In 2019, leaked recordings seemed to indicate that Kaczynski – whose public image has always been an austere one – was steering plans to construct two skyscrapers in the centre of Warsaw that would have generated large profits for PiS leaders. The scandal came to be dubbed the “Twin Towers”.
Gerald Birgfellner, an Austrian architect and relative of Kaczynski, filed a complaint against Kaczynski with prosecutors, alleging that the PiS leader had halted construction plans without paying him compensation. In a separate case, prosecutors were supposed to investigate evidence from multiple sources which pointed to Kaczynski paying a bribe to a priest sitting on the board of the PiS-related foundation that owned the land on which the Two Towers project was supposed to be built, to get him to agree to the construction plans. Under PiS, prosecutors suspended both investigations.
Other examples of cases not pursued by prosecutors despite the existence of evidence include the car accident caused by former PiS prime minister Beata Szydlo; how allies of former PiS defence minister Antoni Macierewicz (who is suspected of links to Russia) irregularly entered the NATO-accredited Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence in Krakow and accessed documents there; and corruption allegations against Daniel Obajtek, former head of state energy giant PKN Orlen and a Kaczynski ally.
The analysis presented on Tuesday also includes cases of prosecutors pursuing opposition activists or business leaders who were in conflict with PiS, where the prosecution seemed to lack sufficient evidence.

How to Structure Your Google Ads Campaign for Better ROI
Tumblr media
If you’re looking to maximize the return on investment (ROI) from your Google Ads campaigns, structuring your campaigns effectively is crucial. A well-organized campaign ensures that your ads reach the right audience, minimize wasteful spending, and deliver measurable results. In this guide, we’ll outline the key steps to structure your Google Ads campaign for better ROI.
Also, for a deep understanding, consider reading the blog: The definitive guide on maximizing ROI with Google ads.
1. Define Clear Goals and Objectives
Before diving into campaign setup, establish clear goals for what you want to achieve. Are you focusing on brand awareness, lead generation, or eCommerce sales? Defining your objectives helps you:
Choose the right campaign type (e.g., Search, Display, Shopping, or Video).
Set measurable KPIs like cost-per-click (CPC), conversion rate, or return on ad spend (ROAS).
2. Conduct Comprehensive Keyword Research
Keywords form the foundation of any Google Ads campaign. Use tools like Google’s Keyword Planner or SEMrush to identify relevant keywords that align with your goals. Segment these keywords into:
High-intent keywords (e.g., “buy running shoes” for sales campaigns).
Informational keywords for awareness campaigns.
Group your keywords logically to make ad groups tightly focused, which improves your Quality Score and ad relevance.
3. Create Well-Structured Campaigns and Ad Groups
Organizing your campaigns and ad groups is critical for precise targeting and budget allocation. Follow these principles:
Campaign-Level Structure: Organize campaigns by objectives, product categories, or services.
Ad Group-Level Structure: Group related keywords and tailor your ads for each group.
For example, if you’re advertising running shoes, create separate ad groups for men’s, women’s, and kids’ running shoes.
4. Optimize Your Ad Copy and Assets
Your ads should be compelling, clear, and relevant to the audience’s intent. Incorporate the following best practices:
Use action-oriented language (e.g., “Shop Now, “Get a Free Quote”).
Highlight your unique selling propositions (USPs).
Include keywords from your ad group in the ad copy.
Leverage ad extensions like sitelinks, callouts, and structured snippets to provide additional information and improve click-through rates (CTR).
5. Leverage Audience Targeting
Audience targeting refines your reach to users most likely to convert. Use Google’s audience options to target:
Affinity Audiences: Broader audiences based on interests and habits.
In-Market Audiences: Users actively searching for products or services.
Remarketing Lists: Re-engage past visitors who showed interest in your offerings.
6. Monitor and Optimize Bidding Strategies
Choosing the right bidding strategy significantly impacts ROI. Popular options include:
Manual CPC for precise control.
Target ROAS for automated ROI-focused bidding.
Maximize Conversions to drive volume while staying within your budget.
Continuously analyze performance and adjust bids based on data.
7. Refine Landing Pages
A high-quality landing page is essential for converting ad clicks into actions. Ensure that your landing pages:
Are highly relevant to the ad copy.
Load quickly and are mobile-friendly.
Feature clear calls-to-action (CTAs) and minimal distractions.
Pro Tip: Conduct A/B testing to find the most effective designs and CTAs.
8. Regularly Analyze and Optimize Campaign Performance
Ongoing optimization is the key to better ROI. Use Google Ads reports to:
Identify high-performing and underperforming keywords.
Adjust budget allocations to prioritize successful campaigns.
Experiment with new ad creatives and targeting options.
Conclusion
Effectively structuring your Google Ads campaign is the foundation for achieving better ROI. By defining clear goals, organizing campaigns logically, refining ad copy, and leveraging audience targeting, you can create campaigns that consistently perform. Don’t forget to regularly analyze and optimize your strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Boosting Your Website's Effectiveness
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is a data-driven strategy focused on increasing the percentage of website visitors who take a desired action—whether it’s making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or downloading a resource. CRO is one of the most impactful ways to enhance your website’s performance and improve the return on investment (ROI) for your digital marketing efforts. In this guide, we’ll walk through the essentials of CRO, from understanding its importance to implementing strategies and tools for optimizing conversion rates.
1. What is Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)?
CRO refers to the process of improving the conversion rate on your website or landing page. A conversion is any action you want a visitor to take, such as:
Making a purchase (for e-commerce websites).
Filling out a contact form (for lead generation).
Signing up for a newsletter.
Downloading an eBook, app, or other resources.
CRO involves using testing, analysis, and optimization techniques to enhance user experience (UX) and increase the likelihood of visitors completing those desired actions.
Key Metrics for CRO:
Conversion Rate: The percentage of website visitors who complete the desired action.
Formula: (Total Conversions / Total Visitors) × 100
Bounce Rate: The percentage of visitors who leave your site after viewing only one page. High bounce rates can indicate poor UX or irrelevant traffic.
Average Session Duration: The amount of time visitors spend on your site. Longer sessions can indicate more engagement and better chances of conversion.
Exit Rate: The percentage of visitors who leave your site from a specific page. High exit rates on key pages (like checkout or sign-up forms) suggest areas to optimize.
2. The Importance of CRO for Digital Marketing Success
CRO is crucial for maximizing the effectiveness of your website and digital marketing campaigns. Even small improvements in conversion rates can significantly increase revenue without the need for additional traffic. Here are some key reasons why CRO should be a priority:
Maximizing Traffic Efficiency: By optimizing your conversion rates, you can make better use of the traffic you’re already attracting. Rather than spending more on ads or content marketing to bring in more visitors, CRO ensures that more of your current traffic converts into leads or sales.
Improved ROI: CRO can lead to higher revenue and reduced cost-per-acquisition (CPA), providing a more efficient and profitable use of your marketing budget.
Better User Experience: CRO often involves improving the user experience (UX) of your site, which can reduce bounce rates, increase engagement, and improve customer satisfaction.
Data-Driven Decision Making: CRO is a continuous process that relies on data and testing. By analyzing user behavior, you gain valuable insights into what works and what doesn’t on your site.
3. Understanding the CRO Process
The CRO process generally involves the following key steps:
Research and Data Collection: Gather data to understand how visitors are interacting with your site. This involves tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, and user session recordings.
Identify Conversion Barriers: Analyze where visitors are dropping off or getting stuck. This could be anything from slow page load times to confusing navigation or poor calls-to-action (CTAs).
Form Hypotheses: Based on your research, hypothesize what changes could improve the user experience and conversion rates. For example, if users are dropping off at checkout, you might hypothesize that simplifying the process or offering more payment options will increase conversions.
A/B Testing: Run experiments by testing different variations of pages, forms, CTAs, and other elements. A/B testing allows you to compare the performance of two different versions of a page to determine which one results in higher conversions.
Implement Changes: Once you have enough data from your tests, implement the changes that have proven to be successful.
Monitor and Iterate: CRO is an ongoing process. Continuously monitor key metrics and keep testing new hypotheses to further optimize your site’s performance.
4. CRO Strategies and Techniques
There are a variety of CRO strategies and techniques that can help you increase conversion rates. The best approach depends on your business model, audience, and goals. Below are some of the most effective tactics for CRO:
1. Improving Website Load Speed
Website speed is a critical factor in both user experience and conversion rates. Slow-loading websites can lead to high bounce rates and frustrated visitors. Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix to test and optimize your website's load speed.
Tips to improve speed:
Compress and optimize images.
Minimize JavaScript and CSS files.
Use a content delivery network (CDN) to serve content faster.
2. Optimizing User Experience (UX) and Design
A user-friendly and intuitive website design can significantly impact conversions. Make sure your website is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and responsive (mobile-friendly).
Key UX Elements to Optimize:
Clear Navigation: Make it easy for users to find what they’re looking for without frustration.
Mobile Optimization: Ensure your website is fully optimized for mobile users since a significant amount of traffic comes from mobile devices.
CTA Optimization: Make calls-to-action (CTAs) clear, compelling, and easy to find. Use contrasting colors, action-oriented text, and prominent placement.
Trust Signals: Display trust signals like customer reviews, secure payment badges, or social proof to reassure visitors and build trust.
3. Simplifying Forms and Checkout Process
Long or complicated forms can cause visitors to abandon their actions. Simplify the checkout or lead capture process by:
Reducing the number of form fields.
Offering guest checkout options (for e-commerce).
Using progress bars or multi-step forms to show users how far along they are in the process.
4. A/B Testing
A/B testing is one of the most powerful methods for CRO. It involves testing two or more versions of a webpage or element (e.g., CTA buttons, headlines, images) to see which one performs better in terms of conversions.
What to Test:
Headlines: Test different headlines to see which one resonates more with your audience.
CTA Buttons: Experiment with button text, size, color, and placement to improve click-through rates.
Product Images: For e-commerce, test different product images or even the angle from which products are shown.
Pricing Strategy: Test different pricing models or discounts to see what drives more sales.
5. Leveraging Social Proof
Social proof is the psychological phenomenon where people are more likely to take an action if they see others doing it. Incorporating elements of social proof on your website can significantly increase conversions.
Examples of Social Proof:
Customer Reviews and Testimonials: Display positive reviews, ratings, and testimonials from satisfied customers.
User-Generated Content: Showcase photos or videos from customers using your product.
Case Studies: Highlight in-depth success stories to demonstrate how your product or service has helped others.
Social Media Feeds: Display your social media activity or follower counts to show that people are engaging with your brand.
6. Personalization
Personalizing the user experience on your website can drive higher conversion rates. By tailoring content, offers, and products to individual users based on their behavior or demographic data, you can make the experience feel more relevant.
Examples of Personalization:
Product Recommendations: Suggest products based on past browsing or purchase history.
Dynamic Content: Show different content to users based on location, device type, or referral source.
Exit-Intent Popups: Trigger exit-intent popups with personalized offers or incentives to persuade users not to leave the page.
7. Implementing Retargeting Campaigns
Retargeting is the practice of displaying ads to users who have previously visited your site but didn't convert. By staying top-of-mind with these users and offering special deals, you can increase the chances of conversion.
5. CRO Tools and Resources
There are several tools that can help you implement and track your CRO efforts:
Google Analytics: Provides insights into user behavior, conversion funnels, and key metrics like bounce rates and exit rates.
Hotjar: Offers heatmaps, session recordings, and surveys to help you understand how users interact with your website.
Optimizely: A popular A/B testing platform that helps you experiment with different versions of your website to optimize conversions.
Crazy Egg: Provides heatmaps, A/B testing, and other tools to analyze user behavior and improve site performance.
Unbounce: A landing page builder that allows for easy A/B testing and optimization of landing pages.
6. Measuring CRO Success
Once you've implemented your CRO strategies, it’s important to measure their success. Focus on the following metrics:
Conversion Rate: The most direct indicator of success.
Bounce Rate: A reduction in bounce rate indicates improved relevance and engagement.
Time on Page: Increased time spent on your pages can show that users are finding your content valuable.
Revenue per Visitor (RPV): Track how much revenue you're generating per visitor, and use it to measure overall profitability.

Note
Hi! Could you do a session analysis for my friends and I?
Knight of Hope (Prospit)
Rogue of Void (Derse)
Page of Space (Derse)
Heir of Mind (Prospit)
Bard of Heart (Derse)
Witch of Light (Prospit)
(You can replace the Witch with a Seer of Time if it's absolutely needed for the session to be successful, that classpect also works. Otherwise, how fucked are we anyway?)
Thank you!
h0ly shit 8O!!
i personally have a bit of theory that a session can go WITHOUT a time player BUT, everything else in the session would have to go perfect. (or at least good enough-)
i believe out of some of my research on the knight of hope that they can create weapons based on hope and/or religion. also with some in-cannon examples, knights are shown to either not think of their aspect as "useful" or just completely ignore their aspect.
the rogue of void is quite useful! as we see in-cannon, roxy can take things from nothing (eg: the orb that kanaya got from slicing her lusus, i forgot its name) which saves the trolls from extinction. chances are the rogue on your team can get almost anything.
the witch of light can manipulate things related to light, like fortune, luck and knowledge. they could possibly enhance your team's luck and what-not. witches of light are also very active in their session, like taking out the derse royalty, keeping their team's luck high and killing imps.
pages of space are actually quite powerful (believe it or not) pages of space can hand over their space powers for a temporary amount of time. if the page of space is persuaded to the side of evil or they give their powers to the wrong person, the session could perhaps scratch. (especially if the session had a witch of time who isn't exactly the best person) pages of space can teleport their team across vast distances of land, create objects for other to use and of course their also on genesis frog duty.
the heir of mind would inspire logic and rationality in those around them, proctecting others from trickery and embodying mind. they tend to brag a bit about being a mind player (and just about their intelligence in general) they'll probably always have a plan for something, whether that be for some random sidequest or the entire session. (another thing id like to mention is that they like pranking, not really important but i think its nice)
bards of heart have the ability to manipulate people using their emotions, leading people to completely destroy their sense of self, warping their perception on who and who isnt an enemy. theu could possibly change someone so much that when they die, it's labelled as a "just death" instead of a heroic death.
id say you and team would be fineeeeee 8P

Think of potential search terms your audience might use. For example, someone looking for digital marketing services in Delhi might also search for "SEO agency in Delhi" or "social media management."

Understanding the Difference Between a Website and a Web Page: A Complete Guide
Understanding the Difference Between a Website and a Web Page: A Complete Guide
In today’s digital landscape, terms like website and web page are used interchangeably, often causing confusion among businesses and individuals seeking an online presence. However, as a business owner or a digital marketer, understanding the difference is essential for creating an impactful online strategy.
At KSoft Technologies, where we specialize in website development, digital marketing, and SEO services, we often encounter this question from clients. This guide not only simplifies the distinction between a website and a web page but also explores their technical aspects and how they align with your business goals.
What is a Website?
A website is a collection of interlinked web pages hosted under a single domain name, designed to serve a specific purpose. Think of it as a digital storefront or an online hub that provides a comprehensive experience to users. Websites can vary significantly based on their type and functionality:
Corporate Websites Ideal for businesses aiming to showcase their products, services, and achievements. For example, the KSoft Technologies website highlights our expertise in areas like SEO, app development, and web design.
E-Commerce Websites Platforms like Amazon or Shopify allow businesses to sell products directly to customers. These websites integrate payment gateways, inventory management systems, and customer service functionalities.
Portfolio Websites Focused on showcasing individual or business achievements, these websites are ideal for freelancers or creative professionals.
Landing Pages Dedicated pages within a website that focus on lead generation and conversions, often used in digital marketing campaigns.
Blogs and Forums Content-centric websites aimed at providing information, engaging with communities, or building authority in a niche.
Technical Structure of a Website
A website comprises:
Domain Name: The unique address users type in to access the site (e.g., ksofttechnologies.com).
Hosting Server: Where all the data and files of the website are stored.
Content Management System (CMS): Tools like WordPress or Joomla that allow users to create and manage content.
Backend and Frontend: The backend involves server-side scripting (e.g., PHP, Python), while the frontend includes design elements (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
What is a Web Page?
A web page is a single document within a website, identifiable by its unique URL. For example, on ksofttechnologies.com, the “Contact Us” page or “Services” page is a web page.
Types of Web Pages
Static Pages Content remains the same unless manually updated. They’re ideal for information like company profiles or mission statements.
Dynamic Pages Content is fetched from a database and changes based on user interaction. Examples include dashboards or search results pages.
Landing Pages Specifically designed for marketing campaigns, focusing on a single product, service, or call to action.
Blog Posts Individual articles or write-ups focused on specific topics within a blog section of a website.
Technical Structure of a Web Page
Each web page includes:
URL Structure: For example, https://ksofttechnologies.com/services.
HTML Markup: Defines the structure and content of the page.
CSS and JavaScript: For styling and functionality.
Metadata: Helps search engines understand the page content.
Key Differences Between a Website and a Web Page
 Definition
Website: A collection of multiple interlinked web pages.
Web Page: A single document within a website.
Scope
Website: Broader; provides comprehensive information or services.
Web Page: Narrower; focuses on a specific topic or purpose.
 URL
Website: Main domain name (e.g., ksofttechnologies.com).
Web Page: A subset URL (e.g., /services, /about-us).
 Interactivity
Website: Enables complex user interactions.
Web Page: May have limited or single-point interactions.
 Purpose
Website: Serves as the entire digital presence.
Web Page: Addresses a specific intent or question.
How Websites and Web Pages Work Together
To draw an analogy, a website is like a library, while web pages are the individual books or chapters within it. Each web page serves a specific purpose and contributes to the overall functionality of the website.
Example from KSoft Technologies
Website Level: Visitors land on ksofttechnologies.com, where they see an overview of our services like web development, app design, and SEO consulting.
Web Page Level: When they click on "Digital Marketing," they are directed to a dedicated page detailing our strategies, success stories, and packages.
Why Understanding the Difference Matters
For businesses, distinguishing between a website and a web page is crucial for:
Better SEO Strategy Search engines like Google evaluate websites and individual web pages differently. Optimizing individual pages for keywords (e.g., “website development services”) improves rankings and traffic.
User Experience Creating well-structured websites and easy-to-navigate web pages ensures a seamless user journey.
Content Strategy Knowing the role of each web page within your website helps in creating targeted and engaging content.
SEO Best Practices for Websites and Web Pages
Keyword Optimization Include relevant keywords like “website development,” “SEO services,” and “digital marketing agency” in titles, headings, and content.
Internal Linking Link related web pages within your website to improve navigation and reduce bounce rates.
Responsive Design Ensure your website and all web pages are optimized for mobile devices.
Page Load Speed Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to identify and fix issues.
Content Quality Provide valuable and actionable content for visitors, such as this guide explaining technical concepts.

Conclusion
While a website is the broader digital presence, web pages are its building blocks. Understanding the distinction between the two helps in planning and executing a robust online strategy. By leveraging the expertise of KSoft Technologies, you can ensure that your website and web pages work seamlessly to drive traffic, generate leads, and grow your business.
