Without the sun there is no moon

Without me there is no you

Yet it feels wrong to me for that to be true

Light shone down from your skies

They were so much brighter than mine

I reached out to make my place in your arms

But my wings burned with your touch

I was just another Icarus

I fell back into my night. I had no light to dream of

It wasn’t your fault

My place is among the dark, where the stars shine far and cold. empty and stark

You should have never put me in your heart

So why do you return? Why do you come into the night where the horrors lie

Why do you want to pull me out of what should be my life

Why wont you just say goodbye?

Without the moon the sun gets lonely

Without you there is no me

That is the truth so why won’t you let it be

You eclipsed my path

You were new, you made me laugh

I let you rest in my arms

But you couldn’t stay, not like this anyways

I saw you fall but couldn’t find what to say

Without you I managed fine, but you never left my mind

It wasn’t your fault

You had never seen light so bright

But I feared you’d lose what made you special if you and me were tied so tight

Yes I am scared. The night is not a place for me

But it also fair for this to be your life while I bathe in light

Because I care about you, that’s why I won’t say goodbye
