anyways. deaf sister imperator that is wayyyyy more vocal than she realizes/intends to be. she’s purposely sighing/huffing when people piss her off But she doesn’t realize that she already does this naturally at a regular level so when she does it with intention it’s like really dramatically loud and Will get people to turn their heads. she has made several people cry on multiple occasions because of this.

I thought it might be helpful to show how we go through our lessons for a week here so that you could give it a test run to see what might work for your home and schedule. 50 - i go for a run everyday

100- i’ll continue learning asl

150 - i’ll stop weighing my self multiple times a day, everyday and obsessing over my weight

200- i’ll finish my online biology class that i’ve been putting off

500- try writing more (which is very much something i don’t enjoy *or i think so* but um i have ideas so why not)

1500- i’ll ask my mom if i could see a therapist (she won’t say no i js didn’t wanna ask…hence the big number)

1800- i’ll drop my toxic friends

2000- i’ll try to stop pushing my friends away and tell them what’s going on instead (im not purposefully pushing them away it’s js that sometimes it happens when shit happens i tend to do it and not let them help me or anything)

2200- ill stop being the therapist friend bc tbh i can’t handle it anymore (my mothers a therapist so my advice isn’t too bad and so i tend to be the therapist friend and get trauma dumped quite often)

2500- clean my closet (which seems small compared to the other tasks on this notes game but i’ve been putting it off for a very long time)

2,600 - I'll try and stop obsessing over how I look

2700 - I will attempt to stop my self from overthinking

2800 - I will remember to take my vitamin D and Iron every night (i forget to take it quite often and my mother hates reminding me every single night)

2900 - Ill get back into reading and finish all the books i read half of and gave up

5000 - I will actually message my mother and ask for a therapist (if u saw my other post i was very close to asking but then chicken out so I will do it and add a photo for proof, BUT 5000 is a big number so... :D)

Those two things have always been my biggest gripes with Raf. But I have a solution for the Bee thing at least

My headcanon is that Bee does not talk in random beeps and boops. Instead, when Bee lost his voice, he tried to learn Cybertronian sign language. But other then Ratchet knowing a few words, no one really knew it.. So for a long time Bee didn't really have a way to communicate with others.. at all.

When they got to Earth and met Agent Fowler though, they learned English AND American sign language. With the whole ASL alphabet/language available online, all the Autobots were able to learn it so now Bee can communicate with others and they can all understand him.

Now for Raf, its simple. He knows sign language and Miko and Jack don't. But its not because "Raf is a super genius" I was thinking that a few years ago his house was being renovated so he lived with a deaf aunt for like 8 months and learned some sign language from her. When he met Bee he honed in on relearning it all and memorizing it. Or something simple/explainable like that-

As for his intelligence? I have no solution for that and its always bothered me. Raf is 12 years old. But you're telling me he can compete with Soundwave in a battle of wits using Cybertronian technology?? That's stupid, its plot convenience and its stupid. >:(

I'm gonna have to dumb Raf down a LOT. He can be pretty slick with Earth tech and coding, at least enough to help Ratchet and operate a ground bridge. But he can never go toe to toe with a transformer of any kind or use their technology.

I hear often that hearing characters should always have a good reasons to know ASL, and I was wondering if it’d be realistic for a deaf (and mute) character to be very fluent in protactile ASL due to being heavily involved with disability rights, and wanting to learn to communicate with the blind (and deafblind) people also involved? Especially if they themself don’t talk. I can’t find a lot of info on the language itself, and there seems no way to learn it online, but I figured it would make sense for this character to become fluent in a few years time (three to five?), if they were surrounded by people who could connect them to good teachers, and people to practice with.

Yes, this is realistic.

A Deaf character who's involved in the Deaf community very likely has resources for learning ProTactile or other tactile sign language methods. At Gallaudet University, for example, where there is strong Deaf-disabled and DeafBlind presence, there are tons of ProTactile trainings and workshops.

(me when I can finally put ungodly hours of online research to good use) Konig who understands having problems with verbal communication - as a tentacle hybrid, he hears a bit differently from humans, and it often messes up with talking in normal settings. He is as great as a hunter while fighting - having the senses of a predator never left him without a win of any kind - but, of course, it's different when he has to work around being overstimulated, stressed and completely out of his depths - luckily, your presence is always a calming one. Luckily, it's enough for him to just feel your body and smell your skin next to his - no words needed. He was very tense about learning ASL, however - he would get you a hearing aid, the best this antiutopia can get, and he will be careful to never allow his recruit to bother his sweet little mate, but, ultimately, sign language is still a very human thing - something that he strives to destroy. You're his precious and pretty girl, but he won't hesitate to remind you of your place. You're his mate, his perfect breeding wife - but he is a monster, hybrid on top of the food chain. He might be softy and considerate with you, sometimes using written text to talk to you, and sometimes taking off his hood so you could read his lips, but he still refuses to act soft. Would murmur things that you can't hear into your ears - something about how much he likes you, how he adores his wife. You're not allowed to hear his softness. Sex is a bit awkward - he tends to get very rough with you, especially at first, and he gets even more strict when he forgets you can't hear his commands. He likes doggy style, but he would be forced to have you facing him the whole time in the limited positions - or else you won't be able to get what he wants. At least he allows you to ride him more often - if you have control over the process, you will get less reluctant about the pace and the whole ordeal. Calm mate = happy mate, as much as Konis is trying to force you to believe that he doesn't care for you.

Modern AU Arcane headcanons

So I finally watched Arcane, and safe to say I’m obsessed! Here are some headcanons I have of the characters existed in the same world as us, where (mostly) everyone is happy and alive :)

vi and powder are always forcing everyone to do stupid tiktok challenges and dances. vander and silco are very reluctant to participate but they somehow manage to go viral every single time

isha is powder and ekko’s adoptive child, and everyone absolutely loves her. she’s mute so everyone learned asl so she can easily communicate with them

vi and jayce play gta online together, and they either team up or constantly fuck with each other and cause chaos

caitlyn’s accent is frequently made fun of by everyone, especially powder

powder and caitlyn pretend to hate each other but are always there for one another when it really matters

sevika and isha are always teaming up to prank everyone. powder has woken up completely duct taped to her bed with sevika filming her and ekko dying with laughter

vi is in the running for the most ticklish person on earth, and everyone, and i mean everyone absolutely loves to tickle her because it’s such an easy way to mess with her. it’s a rarity for vi to go a day without being tickled by somebody at least once

vi and caitlyn’s place is the hang out spot for everyone. game nights, movie nights, and just general get togethers are always held at their place

the group plays cards against humanity (after isha goes to bed of course), and vi and powder are always putting down the most ridiculous cards that never make sense, but they always make everyone cackle

powder laughs so hard when she’s the judge that she can barely get through the cards, it takes her at least 20 minutes

mario kart tournaments always see the most competitiveness out of everyone. mel is somehow the reigning champion despite knowing very little about video games. powder and vi always sabotage each other and often get in physical play fights during mario kart

isha loves legos and has an entire collection that is taking over the house. ekko and powder are very supportive of this but they don’t know what to do about isha running out of space 😭

everyone always competes for title of isha’s favorite aunt/uncle. current title holders are sevika and jayce, but it changes very frequently

vander and silco are isha’s honorary grandfathers

isha has both of then wrapped around her finger

viktor owns a minecraft server that everyone plays on, and he’s like the dad who has to stop everyone from griefing each other

powder’s nickname is still jinx-but for a different reason. vi and powder would always play jinx related games where they would try to not say the same word, and powder always won. so jinx is vi’s affectionate nickname for powder that everyone else occasionally calls her

vander and silco own a gym where they specialize in hand to hand combat-vi works there with them and specifically works with kids, teaching them basic self defense techniques and going from there. vi never really pegged herself as kid material but she’s surprisingly really good with them, and sevika also works there with the adult classes

because of this, vi and sevika also teach isha self defense techniques in case any kids at school mess with her

powder and ekko work at an engineering company together

caitlyn is a lawyer, one of the top lawyers in the country due to her experience and schooling

jayce and viktor are scientific researchers and they are always making miraculous breakthroughs

powder and ekko worked together to design sevika’s prosthetic arm, and it’s very realistic and well functioning. after this, they started making prosthetics for people at a lower cost for those who don’t have the finances to afford them-but they still work just as well

vi and powder don’t let their romantic relationships strain their relationship as sisters. they always have sister nights with just the two of them at least once a week if not more

vi has adhd but manages well with medication and therapy

isha is obsessed with the teenage mutant ninja turtles. like, absolutely obsessed

caitlyn isn’t much of a gamer but she loves animal crosssing

ekko is an excellent cook, powder can barely make a bowl of cereal without something going wrong

jayce loves to play legos with isha

sevika kicks everyone’s ass when playing wii sports

vi and jayce function well when apart, but when they are in the same room they share one brain cell

it’s even worse when they’ve had a few drinks

powder, viktor, and caitlyn have many videos of them being total fucking idiots

sevika believes in ghosts and tries to summon them often

i’m ignoring canon for the rest of my life!
