Rapidpaw fell from a cliff and somehow survived, though not without breaking his leg.

i swear i'm not picking on rapidpaw on purpose, clangen has just decided to give him the worst luck possible.

The shovel is still tossed away in the house somewhere, but he doesn’t want it. He digs with his hands, swift but careful, reverent of what lies beneath. The soft earth crumbles easily under his fingers. Soon enough, the skull is staring up at him, its empty eye sockets a strange echo of Python’s own.

From @luce-speaks 's incredible ghost au fic, Laid to Rest ! There were so many moments I wanted to draw, but this one really stuck in my brain and I wanted to bring it to life (pun intended)

Are Nostramo and Nyceria terrible, horrific places that maybe deserved what they got? Sure. I mean no, I’m sure there were plenty of innocents on both planets. But like, clearly some cultural issues.

But you gotta hand it to them, they did break their Primarchs. Which is a pretty impressive thing all told

Did two planets full of people deserve to be exterminated? No, obviously. Nuceria could have been fixed and re-settled if the ruling class and their military were wiped out. The Emperor just didn’t want to bother with it. In the same vein, Nostramo could have been reformed with effort and time, but the hyper-violent world produced effective astartes candidates that adequately bolstered the Night Lords’ terror tactics. Tactics that, by the way, the Emperor was perfectly comfortable utilising.

For all their worlds damaged them, it was the Emperor who saw that and then decided to keep pushing them. I don’t even think “breaking” a primarch is too impressive. They aren’t stable people. Some of them do it to themselves, even. The Emperor just exacerbates it massively.

Interesting set-up... But you have to change the sock every day and re-wrap your leg. I hope he's not gonna drive that way though...if you get pulled over by a cop for some reason, they will cite you if you are in a leg splint or cast on the leg that operates the gas pedal and brake. Or, in some cases if you drive with a long leg cast. A beautiful shot nonetheless.
