Writing Tips - The “Lesson Of The Day” Format
(TL;DR at the bottom)
With the lesson of the day format - which relies on teaching the audience and characters a lesson within each instalment of a continuing story - it definitely benefits to have a wide cast of characters to invoke the lesson onto; not every problem is going to apply to every character. A character who constantly works in teams to the point of there being conflict over their over-reliance on a team is not going to need a lesson on teamwork being good
The show Bluey, while not sticking to quite as blatant of a lesson of the day format, is very clever with how they execute this; Bluey and Bingo both have the general struggles that children their ages may have - Bluey being loud and rambunctious to the point of occasionally coming off as rude, while Bingo struggles to speak up for herself and communicate her needs and emotions when she believes it may not be what others want to hear - but outside of these realistic challenges in growing up they’re generally very well-behaved, intelligent children with a lot of empathy and compassion… and then there’s Muffin
Simultaneously hated and a fan favourite, Muffin is seen as an absolute gremlin child, for better or worse; she’s stubborn, bossy, argumentative and frequently prone to shouting at others. Muffin, however, is also generally open to learning lessons and shows growth throughout the show, because like all kids, problematic or not, she still has a good side that can be nurtured. This makes Muffin a perfect candidate to learn lessons that wouldn’t apply to well-behaved Bingo and Bluey, and vice versa; Bingo needs to learn to use her ‘big girl bark’, but Muffin has that down in spades
Another thing that Bluey does well is to note how you don’t need to make a mistake to learn a lesson; I don’t remember the name of the episode, but I can remember one where Bluey is trying to block the rain on the road and Chilli keeps blocking her from tracking mud into the house, getting more and more frustrated every time she has to re-mop the floor - but then she sees what Bluey is trying to do, smiles and goes to help her. There was no point in which a mistake was made by either party, but a lesson Chilli seemed to take away from it was that her daughter’s smile is more important than a bit of mud on the floor. A lot of parents get worried about play that results in a mess, so this episode to me felt like it was highlighting the importance of prioritising the play over something easy to clean up after - but Chilli was never portrayed as in the wrong for wanting a clean house and Bluey was encouraged to keep working at blocking the water
And to my next point, remember earlier when I gave the example of someone who’s accused of being too reliant on their team not needing to learn a lesson about teamwork? This is an example taken from arguably one of the most controversial episode of Miraculous Ladybug; Penalteam. Throughout all of Season 4 there was an overarching love square conflict of Ladybug relying more on the temp heroes and Chat Noir feeling left out and replaced due to this. I’ve gone on so many rants about this conflict and I could go on one again, but I’ll keep it relevant
By the time the episode Penalteam comes around, being the episode right before the two-part finale, it’s well-established that Ladybug is supposed to be in the wrong for relying too much on heroes other than Chat Noir. In this episode she does try and big him up, saying they can take on the villain and her clones just the two of them, but then Chat awkwardly has to confess that he’s not actually very knowledgeable on how to play football (they played football instead of having a regular fight that episode, it makes more sense in context) and that Ladybug should call in her team
This could work as a character development moment for Chat if it was treated as him realising the benefits of having a team and acknowledging that he’s not always the best person for the job, but it’s isolated to this one moment and never acknowledged again even in the episode
Ladybug then starts to over-insert herself in the football game rather than relying on her teammates, and the lesson is that she needs to be a team player. But since this comes after a full season of her being criticised for relying too much on her team, the lesson feels very out of place and forced for her. Again, it could’ve worked if it was Chat Noir learning to accept that you can work as a team without being overshadowed and gaining an understanding that each team member contributes something unique just as he does, but the show’s creator himself has confirmed that a rule of his show is that Marinette/Ladybug specifically must always make a mistake to learn from. Sadly, this often leads to a poor distribution of blame, leaving Ladybug overly punished and other characters getting away with actions that would normally be framed as bad
Penalteam is maybe the most blatant example of why this rule of only one character being allowed to make and learn from mistakes doesn’t work; different lessons apply to different people, and sometimes these lessons can conflict with one another. And that’s okay! Because personality traits can have two extremes, and getting both messages out can be a good thing to show the audiences; some kids might indeed need to practice some self-reliance and independence while others may need to learn to work better with others and accept help when they need it. But without acknowledging when one lesson has been taught before and that there’s a healthy balance between the two to strive for, you can’t pin two conflicting lessons on the same person
TL;DR: The lesson of the day trope isn’t just for kids, and can be found in stories geared towards adults as well. Having a wide cast of characters to teach lessons to can be very beneficial since not every lesson will apply to every character, and allowing every character to make mistakes lessons the chance of an unfair distribution of blame which would make the story’s resolution unsatisfying. You don’t necessarily need a mistake to be made whatsoever in order to teach a lesson, and characters can learn lessons from the mistakes of others just as much as mistakes they themself made. Outside of maintaining a balance between two extremes, some lessons are mutually exclusive, and so shouldn’t be mutually applied to the same character without acknowledging and ideally explaining that

Say, out of curiosity, do you have any particular thoughts on 600 strike from epic the musical, considering how it is relatively controversial compared to the other songs in the musical?
I assume you mean the whole wind bag=jet pack thing?
It’s not what I would’ve done personally but I respect Jorge’s vision. I do hope the artist who animated that scene is doing okay.
My biggest opinion of 600 strike is that-music wise-the actual fighting part was okay. But then ody stabbing posiedon became one of my favorite parts of the entire musical

What cards does she want to play?? And is she friendly about it?? Or will she Stab me if I lose??
Eyyyy, since she is of bohemian origin she would play one of these two games:
Žolíky, which is a bohemian version of continental rummy, but if the player is not in a mood to grasp a lot of rules + holding 13 cards in hand.
She would go for
Prší, which is once again a bohemian version of Mau-Mau, that one is easy and fast : ]
You may wind up in the end with your soul written up to the devil or no pants, whatever her mood at the moment is :DD

Can’t believe that there’s still doubt about that photo. Especially among jikookers?!? Please that’s been years and some people still are fooled by cosplayers bullsh*t. Help aggahshsh.
Good work k-kkmers, well done!
Hello anon,
No clue. When I first saw it, I knew it was them. But then peoole were like noo, cosplayers.
Like wtf. And other people believe that instead of forming their own conclusion!
Like some of the stuff people believe just because others say the same thing leaves me puzzled at times.
If your eyes see something and you know you are not delusional, trust your brain, and don't let the view of others skew your view. Stick to your opinions and let others be wishy washy but not you!
"To thine own self be true."
Thank you for sharing.

Lesson One: Running Away From and Ignoring The Lessons Doesn't Make Them Go Away
So, they're still up to their 'old tricks' again? No growth, no expansion. No evolutionary pathways toward betterment of mind, body, and spirit .... Breeding nothing but regressive patterns for themselves and their lineage.
Unless they integrate the lessons and evolve away from their self-imposed torture that is born from their foolishness ... The lessons will reappear as often as necessary.
But no, most of them are still expecting others to lighten the load for them while draining the hearts and minds of those who live with self-respect, honor, and humility. Expecting blessings from the universe in all its divine providence to save them while at the same time they remain faithless and willfully refuse to grow ... Choosing instead to stay in their own stagnant mentality!
Sir, Madam ...
If this is you as described above, the only thing you should expect from me, which I will fully give of myself to you is: Total Disregard.
By all means, seek professional help! Good luck to you and yours ... and have a nice day!

ANY number is divisible by ANY OTHER NUMBER if you're NOT AFRAID OF LETTERS
LESSON NUMBER TWO
The alphabet is entirely ARBITRARY and there's NO REASON the letters need to be in that ORDER OTHER THAN that we are all COLLOSAL FORGETFUL DUMBASSES
LESSON NUMBER THREE
No matter HOW MUCH it PISSES YOU OFF, every subject is connected to EVERY OTHER SUBJECT
LESSON NUMBER FOUR
There will ALWAYS be PHILOSOPHERS and you CANNOT hit them with rocks because their CRYING is MORE ANNOYING than their TALKING
