Event Horizon, 1997 sci-fi movie, tells us of a ship that bends space and time with a prototype engine and vanishes from reality, just to return years later.

The original crew, slain.

The ship itself seems haunted.

<spoiler>turns out the ship traveled through a dimension full of evil energies that drove to madness the original crew and part of the salvage crew too. Just like a trip into the Warp will do without Gellar Fields</spoiler>

So, if we take this point as a "proof" that Event Horizon is set in the Warhammer 40k universe, but closer to us, let's move to the next step:

This went well beyond the standard medical training all non-medical personnel were given, and though she knew more than most, it was clear she was floundering. Out of her element. Save for covering his mouth with perhaps the only apparatus keeping him alive, pushing oxygen into his lungs. Above, the lights of the ship flickered. Around them, it groaned. Metal creaked, as if the whole ship was already mourning the inevitable.

"Tell me what to do! Please!" Fox pleaded, begged whatever horrible thing resided on this cursed ship. "I don't know what to do," sobbing clearly wasn't helping. Neither was looking at her empty, bloody hands, but that was what she did. Mind rushing through every single piece of knowledge within it that might help, only to turn up empty. ERROR: No Data Found.

Leaning over Khan's prone body, she brushed back his damp hair. Trying to keep a smile on her face. Of all the things she knew how to do, bedside manner: how to talk to the injured and dying, was all she could come up with. "We're going to be landing soon," she bit her lip, willing the tears flooding her eyes not to fall. He was nearly unrecognizable, as if beaten within an inch of his life. Each mechanical rise and fall brought that inch closer to centimeters, then millimeters. She wanted to beg him not leave her, not alone, not without him. Lost in space. Doomed to wait out however long her life was going to be after his ended. She wanted to tell him all the things they never had time for, still didn't have time for, but more than anything, she didn't want him to be afraid.

"We're-We're going to land soon, you should get some rest. We'll have so many things to do when we get back." Beneath the medical table, she twisted the knob attached the the breathing apparatus' tubes. Flooding the system with anesthetic. "It's okay to go to sleep now, because when you wake up, we'll be home. We'll be home with everyone else and y-you'll get to talk about all the things we learned with, with, um, with D.J. and Miller and--and--and everyone." The ship around them silenced, only the whooshing sound of air as it compressed and pushed into Khan's lungs. "You'll be home soon," Fox whispered, continuously running her hands through his hair. Watching his closed eyes, willing them to open and look back at her. Knowing that the machine was the only thing keeping up appearances. The moment she turned it off, he'd be still. As still as the ship. As still as the stars and the darkness. "Go home, Khan. Go home." The light above flickered out. The machine shut off.

Oh yes I have. And it really is the Warp.

If we have to do it as a 40k comparison, this is akin to a regular Imperial citizen finding out about the Warp through a Chaos cult infecting a location.
