and before even being able to finish the video i had typed up an essay long comment "ABSOLUTELY EURYLOCHIS GETS TOO MUCH HATE!!! i have been meaning to write a thing elsewhere about eury's character, but in essence, he is a deeply flawed man who so desperately wants to trust and listen to his captain, he wants to get home too (iirc in the odyssey or. somewhere else that epic is based off of he has a wife! he has a wife that he wants to return to just as badly as odysseus!) and like. in luck runs out odysseus asks "hey, dont question me, i promise we can get home" and eurylochus is like "aight" IMMEDIATELY after his betrayal of odysseus (opening the wind bag), in puppeteer HE TRIES TO TELL HIM. HE TRIES TO SAY "hey odysseus i did. a horrible thing and i cannot keep it secret" and he trusts odysseus when he says "whatever you need to say can wait some more" when theyre at scylla's he tells odysseus because the guilt has been eating him alive (the fandom is like "Lol bro gets mad about 6 crew members dying when he caused the death of the majority)(FANDOM. HE FELT GUILTY AS HELL!!! HE WATCHED ODYSSEUS SACRIFICE 6 MEN AND seemingly NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT IT!!) (also also, from the musicals standpoint, eurylochus is the voice of the crew, he and polites are the ONLY ones who get characterization when others were planned to get that as well)(eurylochus is vocalizing thoughts and fears and wants from ALL of the crew, the want is not exclusively his own) (thats why in mutiny while he starts the fight, the rest of the crew vocalize how distrustful they are too, they ALL saw how odysseus felt no guilt or remorse about what he did which would put anyone at unease!!!)

coughs anyway yes i think eurylochus is overhated by the fandom, and i feel the reason for this is people wanting to scapegoat him into something or someone worse than he is, when every character is flawed, confusing, and desperate to get home after 10 years of war. i would love to see your interpretation of polyphemus, you could get some really delightfully freaky designs if you go a little outside the norms of typical cyclops designs" that. is the tl;dr version. and that is very long.

buckle up folks because i am about to yap about why i think eurylochus is overhated by the fandom, and while shit he doesnt do isnt the correct choices, they make sense and we should also remember that no one is safe in this musical from having complexities so fucking help me god i went through this with the hamilton fandom and this time i can actually yap JINGFDIJON

we have like a couple of songs that really push forth eury's story Luck runs out, Puppeteer, Scylla, Mutiny and to a degree Thunder Bringer in luck runs out, weve just been past a war, crew nearly starving, and quite a few people dying to polyphemus, plus odysseus fucking doxxing himself (this is a surprise tool that will help us later even if that part is more guessing) the entire song is eury probably vocalizing the entire crews "hey???? hello??? what the fuck???"

because eurylochus is the only one out of the crew we can distinctly point out (polites being the other one but. stares) but then toward the end when its just the two of them after the "thank you for the concern but brother i can assure you our journey is almost done", odysseus, like i mentioned in comment, is like "hey, trust me, dont question what i tell you to do" and eurylochus puts his trust into odysseus

then we hit with "keep your friends close" and "ruthlessness" video mentions it, odysseus DOES NOT FUCKING TRUST THE CREW which is entirely the winions fault (but also of the crew for trusting some random sky creatures)(which like. again. stares at the horrors theyve experienced up till then alone)(you want some fucking whimsy and treasure in your life)

eurylochus ends up being the one to open the wind bag, curiosity got the best of him, and then hes IMMEDIATELY hit with the worst consequences of the fucking CENTURY he fucked around and found out and BOY DID HE FIND OUT like he is quiet for the entirety of ruthlessness, but like those "captain" callouts from those drowning were hitting him too because shit man! he caused all that!

then in puppeteer, we immediately open on eurylochus trying, HE IS IMMEDIATELY AFTER HE HAS CAUSED SOME SHIT TO HAPPEN TRYING TO TELL ODYSSEUS "HEY MAN. I FUCKED UP BIG TIME. I FEEL LIKE SHIT ABOUT IT" and odysseus is like "lol man it can so wait. it can so wait. it can so wait" and eurylochus, feeling the guilt and still placing his trust in odysseus (this is where surprise tool and the guessing comes in)(given poseidon mentions TO ody "hey lol. you fucking doxxing yourself is ultimately what caused me to show the fuck up. fuck ya life, bing bong")(i would not be surprised if eurylochus' trust is shaken from that first) and then like. after the circe encounter, when hes like "lets cut our losses you and i and lets run" "of course id like to leave now, of course id like to run, but i can hardly sleep now, knowing everything weve done" and that whole lyric section i always read "i can hear her still, and her voice deceives. what if she cant be killed?" as trying to formulate a plan WITH odysseus not trying to make him go against the idea of saving the crew like "ok so. shes super powerful. what the fuck" and odys like "well lets fucking pray" and then the circe saga happens, and like yay! happy days!!!!!! a bit of trust comes back in

ACTUALLY SURPRISE CAMEO FROM DIFFERENT BEAST (and underworld saga) given i dont think any of the crew were privy to what tiresias told ody, and his breakdown after about "becoming the monster", to the crew, the cruelty comes out of NOWHERE like "ok sure, killing our enemies, yeah." " " "captain what do you mean cut their tails off and then throw them back into the water and let them drown"

because that IS crueler than just killing them, cutting their tails off and then throwing them into the water, its the order with which the thing is done that gets the crew to switch up from "WE are a different beast now" to "HE is a different beast now", because the hesitation comes back, the hesitation and the "hey. hey hold on" and the trust breaks again

and then in scylla, eurylochus finally tells the thing about the wind bag, (my partner has so fucking amazingly pointed out, scyllas singing fits both odysseus' and eurylochus' sides)("leaving them feeling betrayed" is what happens to both of them during that song)(eurylochus finally tells of his betrayal, and odysseus betrays eury's trust in him near completely)(theres a reason i say near completely)

and ok

so the fandom is like "lollll eurylochus???? eurylochus you caused the death of like closer to 500 men probably what right do u have to be mad about 6 deaths"

ITS BECAUSE ODYSSEUS FEELS NO REMORSE FOR IT the two have both caused death, indirectly at that point, but its the fact that odysseus CHOOSES to DIRECTLY cause death to the 6 men, and again, eurylochus is the voice of the crew, and to the rest of the crew, their captain sacrificing 6 of them and not at all feeling bad about it????? holy FUCK

so then the rest of mutiny plays out, (i will once again point to "eurylochus is the crews voice" with the lyric "how are we supposed to trust you now" because that shit mirrors exactly the stuff eurylochus is handling with the lyrics, its so hard to get lost in the sauce of it all but NO this is NOT AN IDEA HELD ONLY BY EURYLOCHUS-)

coughs anyway NGFDIJHN that "near broken trust" comes back into play because there is that little bit of trust still there eurylochus realizes he fucked up (which)(btw)(he was starving)(if you were starving and had the means to feed yourself not even GOD could stop you with any punishment from trying to feed yourself) and when odysseus goes into full captain mode, despite the fact he was betrayed, he makes a futile attempt at making sure his crew makes it out safely and we can only assume eurylochus is following orders then we reach thunder bringer eurylochus has realized he has doomed the crew and when he says "captain?" "i have to see her" "but we'll die" "i know,,," eurylochus has this. resignation and acceptance in his voice all rage has left all anger all sense of betrayal because he cant change that anymore like he fully accepts his fate and knows its because he fucked up

so like. teehee. sniles so sneetly JINGFDOIJN

eurylochus is a flawed character, but so is everyone else in the musical, and nuance should ALWAYS be considered when looking at them instead of "lol funni man bad funni man at the fault of everything in the musical (aside from ody doxxing himself that is a choice of foolishness the size of zeus' ego to not get caught by hera whenever he cheats)

Ranging from trying to make them feel guilty, making their lofe a living heck, to just pissing them off.

Here are some Scenarios:

1: Doll (Leon killed the MC in his Bad end 2)

After school and basketball practice, Leon returns to hang out with his best friend. They chat… well… only Leon talks. This is because his friend isnt really… alive. In fact, he and a classmate named Reme worked together to Taxidermy what remains of his body.

Creepy: Yes, but Leon didn’t mind, because his best friend was perfect.

Leon: “I love you dear.” He says, and he kisses the cheek of his Taxidermied friend.

They start watching a movie about haunted dolls (Annabelle or Chucky), but Leon’s not really entertained by it. He looked back at the doll and leaned on it like a pillow. As Leon was starting to fall asleep, he felt something hugging him.

Leon: “huh?”

When he rubs his eyes, he can see that MC’s Taxidermied doll is hugging him back, and Leon makes a scream loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood up.

Ghost!MC: “What’s wrong Leon? I thought you loved hugs 😈”

Leon: “not like this.” cries

…

2: Take care of him 🔫 (Vincent kills MC)

After learning that MC was dead, Vincent’s Uncle cuts off all finantial aid, leaving poor Newt without a family and in poverty. In pure rage, MC haunts Vincent.

Uncle: “Vincent! I just got your essay back, and the teacher told me you wrote something very innapropreate on the paper.”

Vincent: “What?!”

Vincent’s Uncle shows his paper, with vandalism that says “[Teacher] is a poopy head!” With a poop emoji drawn onto it.

Vincent: “That’s NOT my handwriting, or my drawing style! I’ll talk to my teacher tomorrow to see what happened.

Vincent thinks that Leon did it out of anger, but that wasn’t right, Leon’s form of revenge would have been a bone-breaking beating. Looking again, the handwriting was… familiar… It almost looked like.

Vincent: “Honey?!”

Ghost!MC: “Ahh, so you figured it out.”

Vincent: “Honey, y-you’re back!” He said, tears forming on his eyes in both relief and fear.

Ghost!MC: “Shut up, you wanna know what happened after I died. Your Uncle cut off all financial aid to my brother. He had no choice but to live with Jon!”

Vincent opens his mouth, but before he says another word, MC throws a glass vase on the wall out anger.

Ghost!MC: “Listen to me! You are going to take care of my brother in whatever means you can. If you don’t, then I’ll do everything in my power to make your life a living hell!”

Vincent didn’t even realize he was shaking, but seeing the fury behind his honeybee’s eyes, he could tell he was dead serious (pun intended).

The following days, Vincent used his parents money to financially support Newt behind his uncle’s back. Newt was suspicious and confused about the random financial support after “mom” and “dad” cut him off, but money was money.

Sometimes, as a reward for helping his brother, MC gifts him chocolates, roses, or good grades.

3: Love Letter (this can apply to anybody)

So whichever LI kills MC does not only feel a tremendous amount of guilt, but over time, their rival keeps receiving love letters from the dead MC. The rival thinks that Newt is giving these letters written from when MC was still alive.

Meanwhile, MC makes sure that the murderer sees that he is the one writing the letters after his death to spite him off. Even lets him see what he wrote before sending it off to the rival.

Leon’s love letter: “Leon, when I’m by your side, I always feel safe and protected. You have protected me for 8 years, and I have never regretted meeting you. Not only are you a great basketball player, strong and dependent, but you’re also very soft and sweet like a teddy bear. You’ve also care for an protected my brother like you did for me. Thank you for everything. 🩷”

Vincent’s love letter: “Vincent, you are so much more than your family’s money. Although we have only recently met, your determination to get the things you want has inspired me, yet, you still care deeply about me. Not once did you care about our financial differences, you’ve always cared for and cherished me. I love you. ❤️”

OMG this IS true... BUT... there's this singer whose lyrics are in French, but whom I really REALLY love. It's Leo Ferre. Have you ever heard of him? He isn't from France, actually. If I remember correctly. Anyway, he did translate some of his songs into Italian, but it's not the same you know. I liked those lyrics so much, he's so poetic, but sometimes I wish I could speak French to actually get the right shade of how they were intended (you know, to translate is to betray etc etc). Plus, I would be able to understand other songs of him 😭 but nooo my French proficiency got lost somewhere between middle school and mental-facility-highschool LOL

LMAOOOO I suck at athletics, too!!! My dad used to take me to the beach during winter and we used to train together, running on the shore, with the wind blowing against us, which made it more difficult to run, and together with the unsteady texture of the sand it would help build muscle resistance, or whatever my dad told me to convince me to train with him LOL Let's just say I like watching the athletics waaaay better than I like doing it :) Yeah, I do some light hiking too, from time to time. And I feel the same way about gyms LOL

Ooooh That One Chair, of course I know her!!!! In my apartment, it's That One Basket. A chair wasn't enough 😭 I switched to a basket a few years ago. Every random thing I get out during the day and forget to put back in its place or I got out cuz I know I'll need it later during the day or just any mess I make during my day goes right into my Basket Buddy. At the end of the day I clean it (well, that's the intention at least LOL) and start all over the day after. Truth is, my Basket Buddy needs a Basket Buddy Bestie cuz I'm a huge procrastinator who'd get out things cuz she knows she'll need them, and then would put off the task until it's too late and I actually do have to get it done LOL I should rename my Basket Buddy as my Procrastination Buddy :)

i do like art (as in paintings haha)!! i used to be so so so into drawing as a child in fact. i still do (charcoal) drawing from life occasionally! i don't really know enough about visual arts to identify a specific movement i like as much as a technique maybe, like i love paintings that use sfumato. it always blows my mind that this can be done with PAINT. i guess that makes my favorite period the renaissance lol, but i'm not well-versed enough to know if that would count as a movement lol, cause i know it's more complex than that in literature

when i listen to music the most... probably in the train! i listen to a lot of music (though this semester has been killing me with a GUN so i havent listened to music as much as i would have liked ugh), so it's really an "all the time" situation but i do always without fail listen to music when im going somewhere, be it by train, in the metro, in a bus or in the car lol

as for pierce the veil:

"collide with the sky" is their most popular most iconic album (lmao hyperfixation rant unlocked. i sense an essay coming). personally i feel that objectively it just is their best album, even though it's not my personal favourite album, and also just doesn't have a lot of my favourite ptv songs on it. but when i look at all their albums, cwts just doesnt have any bad songs on it, or even any songs that i like slightly less. its straight bangers. its melodic, well writen, strong lyrics and concepts, high energy. like seriously no flaws.

personally i started with "selfish machines" (i knew nothing about the fandom or anything when i started with this album). i think it was kinda good that i didnt start with cwts because, as i started to learn that it was meant to be this amazing album i got really excited to listen to it. idk just not listening to it first just built up the hype for me. and then when i listened to it, i was not dissapointed. by the time i listened to cwts, i already knew selfish machines front to back, word for word, and it was my favourite album in the whole world and i had been listening to nothing else for about a month. i didnt think i was going to like cwts as much as selfish machines, but then i instantly did. it kinda felt like album release day when i listened to cwts. i just kinda think it was more fun to already be in love with the band before listening to their "best album".

anyway definitely start with one of those albums. both are brilliant.

as far as the other albums, i also really love them but i wouldnt start with them

"a flair for the dramatic" - amazing album, i come back and listen to this album a lot. it is their first album tho so its slightly less strong and you can tell they're still figuring out their sound. i like that it feels a bit more raw though. the only reason i would start with this is if you wanted to listen to them chronologically (which tbh could be kinda cool and isnt the worst idea)

"misadventures" - the first time i listened to this one i wasnt fully sold. i thought it was their worst album. however this didnt last long because every time i listened to it i like it more (which ive heard other people say a similar thing about this album). it just got better and better until i thought it was a straight masterpiece, just like the others. anyway thats why i wouldnt start with this one, however since it seems you like heavier stuff more, i think you would like this album because it has some really high energy stuff. (i mean they all do hahaha but i feel like this one is less melodic? idk)

"jaws of life" - this album they released after like an eight year hiatus in 2023. its a completely different sound than the other albums. the other albums are post-harcore albums whereas this is more of slower grungier album, with also some pop elements. i love this album but given that you prefer the higher energy i would definitely not start with this one. another reason i wouldnt start with this one is i feel that its less consistent as a whole album. this album has a few of my favourite ptv songs on it, but also a few of my least favourite ptv songs on it. it also is just a bad introdution to ptv since it sounds so different from their other stuff.

i think selfish machines is still my favourite album but i think thats mostly due to the fact that it was the first one i listened to and the one i listened to for the longest, so it just has more of a personal connection to me. but i genuinely think this band has one bad song and like. four eh songs and the rest are all bangers so i think they're worth a good listen. but yeah. start with one album. either selfish machines or collide with the sky. let me know what you think, of course in detail.

I’ve done a similar response to this before here and mentioned something else about it here but I’ll go over it again since those posts are both from a while ago. also bear in mind I haven’t seen aya recently bc I don’t like it. okay let’s get into it

[also im gonna preface this saying maybe i sound very pessimistic but im ranting and its just gonna sound like im complaining because i am. i mean no real malice by the way. im simply a person with a blog.]

first off. they don’t use the show don’t tell as well as they could. in the what might have been montage, sure, they showed potential scenarios and how phineas felt (very briefly) when isa stopped visiting his backyard but it just feels so rushed. I get that they only had like 11 minutes to show it but idk there has to be another way to write it. or just not have it at all idk its just from a writing point of view the whole episode feels rushed and out of place from everything else continuity-wise. why not use little easter eggs planted in the show beforehand? operation crumbcake? pharmacists? meapless in seattle? god theres so many episodes with evidence that phineas liked her back even if he didnt know. just. continuity!!!!

second. why did their friends not try something sooner. it’s not like they didn’t know. like phineas seems to be okay with saying “i wish! i am so in the friend zone there” in front of his friends (that quote alone makes me lose my shit but that’s a whole other point) so clearly they knew about phineas. and isabella also wasn’t quiet about it (source: pnf s1-4). they had like four years of high school to do something and they planned it the day isa left for college? nah its just the least realistic thing ever for me. also them being 18 is like yeah okay maybe the slow burn was worth it and theyre way more grown up (i love a good slowburn) but ohhhhhh my god SURELY their friends were getting sick of them dancing around each other. just me?

WHAT!!! i cant believe this shit is real. these lines of dialogue are canon. what the hell. what kind of message does that even send to younger, impressionable viewers? if ur a 10 year old boy watching that (ok fine maybe that isnt gonna stick with you forever but listen) and you go 'oh its okay to just bottle everything up and not tell my friends about my feelings about anything ever' that is insane! thats not how things should go!! like i get the whole "im so in the friend zone" and yes, this also has to do with the era but like if they wanted to be a more progressive cartoon that kids look up to and enjoy maybe they just. shouldn't have put that whole conversation in.

i barely have any problems with the b plot. in fact id watch the episode just for the kazoo solo. because that plot lines up with the continuity. i can totally see heinz having bowling night with perry and carl and monogram every week! i can totally see perry and monogram retired! and carl running owca and getting payed for it! that all checks out! that one makes sense and works with the canon! if they got that plot so right how did they get the a plot so wrong?

i can answer this question: fanservice. its an awful word, i know. act your age is a fanservicey episode which is why i think it crashed and burned. mml season 2 is rooted in the same issue: doof is very present and takes away from the original plot of the show. like, the one he wasnt even in until the last episode of s1. slightly getting off topic but it is the crux of the issue. fanservice doesnt make for good storytelling. even if it brings in the big bucks. at its core, telling the story the way it should be told is the best one. even if it pisses people off. a good portion of the viewers will still appreciate whatever ending the creators come up with. and no, im not saying phinbella shouldn't have become canon, in fact i really like the ship and all their dynamics, i just think they went about it the wrong way.

as someone who's written and published fic about them getting together in different universes (granted, they were from when i was younger so its mildly terrible. take them with a grain of salt) there are a lot of other ways to tell that story canonically. honestly, i think the best way of doing it was to keep it ambiguous. dont tell that story. let the viewers pick their own ending for phineas and isabella. maybe they dont get together after all. who knows!

TLDR; cinderella (stand) is a love potion, love potions are nonconsensual and not compelling. it rips koichi of his free will, and yukako is able to manipulate him, without any pushback or consequences. there's no growth!!! araki still cannot write women!!!

i think the first thing that's really important that i need to get out of the way first is that cinderella's ability IS a love potion. like straight up. and obviously love potion stories are creepy and unconsensual

when i say this, people tend to push back against the idea but its true. how else would you categorize it? koichi would not give yukako the time of day pre-cinderella, even for a second, and in the anime was even seen RUNNING AWAY FROM HER in fear when he saw her on the streets 😭.. and then, suddenly after yukako visits aya once, he is being kind to her. even worried about her. and willing to go to the cafe with her alone.

he is apparently so 'in love' with yukako that he decides to potentially GO BLIND FOR HER??? HUH??? these kids know NOTHING ABOUT EACH OTHER BTW!!! they have no common interests. in their first interactions, yukako thought he was a lying cheater who she needed to fix. and koichi literally hated her, and was terrified of her. she stressed him out so hard that he thought he killed his own stand

like, koichi is incredibly kind and forgiving, but literally nothing in their relationship changed so that he would be comfortable even being near her. its just too sudden. last time they were interacting, koichi was telling her that he hated her and complaining that she "never listens to anything [he says]". she has this pattern of ignoring his opinions and feelings... and it obviously didnt end in yukako falls in love.

also this line:

the existence of this arc erases any interesting character growth that yukako could have had. she goes from telling koichi that "i will make you love me, if i can't have you, i'll just kill you, you belong to me" etc etc etc, to "ok, maybe i don't need him after all" at the end of her initial episodes. and then suddenly she regresses back to "actually i do want him" and then she gets him, with no substantial growth on her end.

she isnt kidnapping him this time which is good i guess, but she continues to ignore koichi's free will and agency by "bending fate" so that they can be together. that's just not ok to me

but i think the reason why im so reactive to yukako's situation, and not someone similar like rohan, is that irl mangakas DON'T steal your memories for manga material (i'm pretty sure). but people ARE abused by their romantic partners. yukako's abuse is cartoonish, making koichi eat paper and erasers and building him an electric chair, but its still uncomfortable (especially considering she ends up with him in the end).

i also feel like people don't seem to take domestic abuse as seriously with women perpetrators. we girlbossify them instead. it all just feels so icky to me, i cant shake it.

everything is made worse by the fact that araki CANNOT!!! write women or f/m relationships well in early-mid era jojo. rohan, tamami and others in the koichi fanclub have clear character arcs, they get better. yukako just doesn't. or at least it isnt enough

aya tsuji is also a flop of a character as well.. i've never heard anyone talk about this, maybe just out of discomfort, but she seems like a predatory lesbian trope. there are a few scenes where she is touching yukako inappropriately or ogling her (and i know with araki's art, it's hard to remember, but she's 16!). it's honestly just so uncomfortable i hate it lol. it's a shame bc i love seeing stand users who aren't attacking the protags, and instead just use their stand for their jobs… but again. araki cant write women. at least women can actually have stands without dying now. but we are far from stone ocean... we'll get there eventually....

ugh im feeling so soft rn and cant stop thinking about how kakashi and gai are so close gai can (this is canon) grab his leg, touch his hair, LITERALLY CARRY HIM, and lay their futons next to each other while on their honeymoon. we also know thay gai has seen kakashis face. like... gai is kakashis person. kakashi isnt this comfortable with ANYONE. i could write an entire essay if i wanted to. theyre just... hnnnnn

Kakashi let’s Gai Touch his hair, his leg, check him over for damage, and that is all after Gai says hello like this. ☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽 By wrapping an arm around Kakashi’s neck from behind, and hugging him.

We know Kakashi can be very on edge about this kid of thing, as when they’re teenagers he reacts to Gai trying to tackle hug him by putting a kunai to Gai’s throat. So clearly Kakashi has gotten to a point where he recognizes where it’s Gai doing this and knows to keep his guards down. We also know he doesn’t like being hugged by just anyone, because when Naruto hugs him in excitement once Kakashi straight up tells him ‘let go of me’. Physical touch is very personal to Kakashi, and he only grants it to certain people.

We almost never see Kakashi fight back to back with anyone else. The only other person i think he could is tenzo, but no one else. To fight back to back means to allow that person to have his trust in keeping him guarded, and Kakashi does not trust that deeply easily. Even with his speels about teamwork and doong everything you can for your teammates, he is still very closed off and only trusts certain people. The level of trust he displays with Gai isn’t seen with others. Naruto and Sakura can foght side by side with him, but only Gai fights back to back with him.

Pure unadultered goofball. Kakashi is goofy with everyone when he’s comfertable with them of course. Anyone who knows this man know’s he’s a giant dork.

but his goofy levels skyrocket with Maito Gai. There is no chance he would have a race in Konoha with anyone else right after the destruction of the village by pain. There’s no way he would interupt said race mid jump by throwing a pan/ladal at them and hitting them right in the head to distract them. Gai gets a personal look into just how ridiculous this man can get. Something no one else really gets to see.

If anyone else had tried to do this to Kakashi, i have no doubt he would have committed murder. This is not a fun position to find one self in, and he’s definitly emaressed. But he also trusts Gai and knows that this is probably one of the least embaressing things he could do.

Look at that trust. Gai has Kakashi’s back even when they were kids and Kakashi was doubting himself a lot harsher because of Obito’s death. When Kakashi was left alone with almost no one to have his back, Gai was there (thanks to writer sexism we don’t really get to see Rin support and fight by Kakashi’s side while she’s alive, which is bs). Gai has always been there for Kakashi and Kakashi knows that. There isn’t anyone else that he would trust to question him when needed but also support him and listen to him when they know that his plan is the best to go with (except Tenzo who has done countless missions with Kakashi)

Kakashi would cannonly fo anything he could to make sure Gai is safe and healthy. He understands Mirai’s wishes to see her father because he would gladly do whatever he had to in order to give Gai back the use of his leg.

Kakashi, Who has lost his eye in battle and for years either fought have blind or using an eye that drained his chakra at ridiculous rates. Who understands that war comes with loss, and people will die or lose limbs because of battles. Who has two students who lost an arm fighting against each other.

The only person he is shown to worry about, Is Gai. Because Gai is the most important person to him. The person who has always been there for him. He would give anything to give Gai use of his leg back, because for years he thinks that’s what Gai needs to be truley happy. He has seen Gai struggle with his injury and become upset because of the injury. He has seen how it has adversly affected Gai, and so he thinks healing it would make Gai happy, and Gai being happy is such a priority for him that he’d be willing to do whatever it take’s to make Gai happy.

it’s not until Gai tells him that he’s happy how he is because he has Kakashi by his side. Because while he lost use of his leg, he didn’t lose Kakashi and actually got Kakashi to be closer to him. Even going so far as for them to end up living together and going on vacation together. Kakashi’s most important person is Gai, and Gai’s most important person is Kakashi. They make this clear during the race scene and again during this scene above.

I just want to add this because it just... Gai could have used any two characters to visually represent the joining of these two beings in Tanabanta. He choice himself and Kakashi.

This short silly little scene shows how deeply Gai cares for Kakashi. I know it’s a side show and completly silly, but it’s so adorable. Gai litterally made a story where him and Kakashi get married, and it’s not played off as a joke. zthis is absolutly seriouse and it’s adorable

I can’t find a picture, but Kakashi also choice Gai as his right hand during the war when he was made Captain of the third division.

he had to choose from everyone who he knew, who he trusted the most to have his back and help him lead the third division, and he chose Gai without question. There was no one else he would have as his co-captain.

The minute Kakashi got this turtle he could have done a lot of things, but the thing he did speaks volumes to how important gai is to him. He saw an SOS and without question, he went to Gai’s side. He didn’t care what might have happened, and when he found out what it was (gai being seasick) he wasn’t angry at all. He came to Gai’s side without question to make sure he was ok, and upon finding out that Gai was fine he left. He didn’t even bother to say hello to Naruto or check up on him because he knew Naruto was in good hands. That with Gai and Tenzo watching him, he was fine.

LIKE. FUCK. people kinda got on Jack's case for leaving after the big fight breaks out and the bulls take Crutchie, but what else can he do? jack is 17. he's scared. he's dealing with his own trauma after what happened to him at The Refuge (which is never explicitly stated, but his reaction leads me to believe there was definitely some kind of ab•se (and its canon that the officers at the refuge don't feed the kids as they should)). he's seen as the tough guy, as the leader, as the father figure for all of the newsies, but he's a kid. he put his life on the line for them, but that's too much responsibility for a teenager.

jack got thrown in the refuge- a jail for kids- because he stole food and clothing for the other boys. he did everything he did for everyone else, without ever taking his own feelings into consideration; it was never a case of "what's in it for me?", it was always "will this help the guys i love?" and that is Jack's biggest quality i think.

anyway- so, he disappears after the fight because he's guilty. he watch his best friend- no, his brother- get taken by the bulls and watched the others he loves get hurt, and he couldn't stop it. again, this is a 17 year old we're talking about. his whole Santa Fe scene is the most pivotal part of the show in my opinion? like- we see Jack having a breakdown, essentially. "just be real is all i'm askin', not some paintin' in my head" is such a painful line because he's holding onto the hope that somewhere he's never seen is good enough to risk leaving his life behind for, and we see the struggles between wanting to stay and help his friends and wanting to get out and live and be able to have a life where he doesn't have to live with such a huge responsibility on his shoulders.

ALSO THE WHOLE THING WITH THE GUYS THINKING JACK IS A SELLOUT BECAUSE HE GOT MONEY FOR TRYING TO CONVINCE THE NEWSIES NOT TO CONTINUE THE STRIKE HURTS MY HEART

like Pulitzer basically said "if you don't tell them to stop this, i'll personally make sure all of them end up in the refuge" and even used Davey as a plot device, since Davey is one of the few that has folks and a little brother, and Pulitzer essentially said "you wouldn't want your pal Davey getting separated from his family, would you?"

Jack believed in the Strike, and he believed in the Newsies, but he couldn't handle the risk of more of his family getting beaten and thrown into The Refuge, and it kills me to see that he couldn't tell the others why he suddenly had a "change of heart", and that they all think that jw just gave up on them until they realize later on that Pulitzer manipulated him right where it hurt most

Salem listened to Oobleck drone on and on about the history of Remnant, not really caring about what he was saying. Sure, there were a few things he said that were completely off, but a lot of it she just… didnt care about. This second round of humanity just wasnt interesting to her. And if she could have her way, this round of humanity would end fairly soon. 

“Miss Peony, can you explain to me how the Great War ended?” asked Oobleck. 

Salem didnt bother to move much, still looking bored. “The warrior king of Vale used a relic to end the war.” 

“I would prefer it if you’d actually pay attention to the lectures.” Oobleck looked around the room, finding another student to call on. “What about you, Miss Valkyrie? Can you tell us?” 

Nora smiled a bit. “A sudden sandstorm aided Vale and Vacuo in defeating Mantle and Mistral due to their inexperience with desert fighting.” 

“Very good. Maybe you can tutor Miss Peony if she’s refusing to pay attention.” 

Salem frowned. “I had-” she stopped herself mid sentence, realizing that she couldnt raise suspicions about herself. “-had a grandparent that was there. He heard the warrior king speak a name before the sandstorm started.” 

“As enlightening as that is, those… relics… are just myth. Stories we tell as a metaphor of the gifts the gods gave humanity when they were created.” He started pacing around the classroom, starting up a new lecture. “Humans and faunus alike all are born with the abilities to create, destroy, to learn, and to choose. And because of that, we all have to understand that the great war in itself was a crime against being able to choose and to create. The stories of the gods may only be myth and legend, but the very essence of what makes us all human are those four desires. And as such, each kingdom since then has taken up a symbol of those four gifts as a reminder.” 

Salem rolled her eyes a bit, not quite sure Oobleck actually knew what he was talking about. For someone who claimed to be a historian and have a doctorate, he seemed very naive to what has really gone on in history. Although, she figured she had Ozma to blame for that one. 

Oobleck continued on from his point. “Now, since we were talking about the great war, I would like for each of you to write an essay on how each of these four gifts are implemented throughout the kingdoms and the consequences of gift.” 

Aurora groaned a bit at the idea of homework. “This is going to make for a boring night….” 

“You’ll get it done quicker than you think,” replied Xanthic. She quietly used her scroll to tap into the school’s cameras, starting to pan through each section of the school. “Besides, it's the weekend, so we have a bit of time to get it done. Not like it’s due tomorrow.” 

Sitri smiled a bit. “Speaking of, team RWBY invited us to go into Vale with them. Since the Vytal festival is coming around soon and a few students from the other schools will be making their way soon, they want to start getting to know people early.” 

“I think I’ll pass.” Aurora started packing up her books to head to the next class. “Hanging out with a bunch of losers isnt exactly my style.” 

Salem smirked as an idea started forming. “You know, if you spend a little time with them, you might be able to find a weakness for them. Which will make your rematch with Ruby all that much better.” And will give me a bit more time to get closer to Ozma’s pawn.

“Alright, you have a point. Maybe we can find a spot to take out a few grimm. See what they really have to offer.” 

“That’s actually not a bad idea Saph.” Sitri packed up her things, getting a bit more of a pep to her step. “Oh! And then, maybe we can find a few people to help out-” 

“Only if it means we get paid.” Xanthic made note of a few sections of the school before putting her scroll away. “I’m not helping for free.” 

Sitri practically deflated midstep. “...or we could help just to be nice.” 

“I’m with Xan. No payment, no help.” Aurora started walking off, feeling a bit agitated with wearing a skirt, and a red one at that. “I’ll meet you guys in class. I need to talk to someone about getting a new uniform first.” 

Salem watched her team, keeping an eye on everything that made them tick. Sitri was still a mystery to her, but Aurora and Xanthic were people she could start using. Aurora had a bit of a temper, but her budding rivalry with Ruby was definitely something she could use as an advantage in the future if things started going south. And Xanthic, something about her struck her the same way as Watts. She’d have to remember to ask him about her later. But for now, all she had to do was keep herself under the radar as much as she could. As long as Ozma remained clueless, she might be able to succeed.

being daichi's sibling came with its pros and cons. I cant lie to you he is a good brother but that doesnt mean he isnt protective of you. And no, no boyfriends. But the best thing about being daichis sibling is that you would get to spend time with the one and only crush of yours sugawara koushi. Everything about him just made you happy. He is so caring and sweet you just couldn't halp yourself from falling for him. And because sugawara and daichi met in middle school they were very close. And with that he came over to hang out like at least once a week. You didn't mind as long as daichi let you be around for a bit you just wanted to be around cutie

And with that you and him would chat every now and then Just getting to know each other more. Both of you would talk about your hobbies and interests and life etc. You just found him so interesting you just kept wanting to be around him more and more. And daichi as the good brother he is will try to leave you two alone for a couple of minutes to have a good conversation together and would excuse himself with "oh im going to the bathroom" or " um im going to get a snack" and it works too!!

Finals were close and the boys, daichi suga and asahi came over to study it was their second year and you were a first year student. Suga would help you study and help you understand the things you couldn't and all that jazz. You felt kinda flustered whenever he says "good job!!" And gives that warm smile of his. It was around 1:12 pm and all of you were too focused on your work and didn't remember lunch....Yeah I know unbelievable. From that day whenever the both of you found the chance to nap together you would do it. Suga tired from practice? nap time! Stressed? Nap time! Sad? Nap time! It's like both of you were nap buddies and you loved it. Daichi couldn't really do anything at this point. Don't get me wrong he was SO happy when you actually found someone to hang out with and actually be comfortable around. But he just didn't like the fact that the both of you were so touchy its like you guys were dating. But you always denied him saying "no no he's just a close friend nothing else!!!!" Until...

It was a Saturday night you and suga were in your room watching a barbie film. It was a chill night both of you got snacks and watched the movie in peace. sugawara kept giving you these side eye glances every now and then you noticed them but didn't say anything. SURVIVAL GUIDE & STUDY TIPS

hello everyone!! this post is a collab with the lovely and amazing @boinkhs because we've both reached 2k followers :D she'll be doing study tips for college students and i'll be doing study tips for high schoolers. check out her post here!

i've split this into part 1. survival, which concerns how to study & learn better in general and just tips on how to get through high school. part 2. is on specific study tips for each type of subject, namely sciences, maths, languages and humanities.

1. Don't snooze please

you just end up snoozing 5 times then you’re late for school

2. If you find you have difficulty getting out of bed, just keep in mind ONE TASK you need to do.

for example, making your bed. then you just gotta focus on that! it should help fight the sleepiness because you’re forcing your brain and limbs to be active.

3. Do the necessary things like brushing your teeth, putting on clothes and eat breakfast

i don’t know why but some people don’t eat breakfast before coming to school like ???? excuse me ???? please eat at least a small snack, or a fruit or something. your body doesnt function on an empty stomach! also, drink some water to hydrate yourself

4. On the road, you should do something that puts you in a good mood.

for me, i go straight to spotify and listen to my playlist. you should also review the previous day’s learning so that you refresh your memory before going back to class. personally this is my fav part of the day HAHAHA

5. If you like, you can choose to read a book.

just make sure you’re calm but ‘warmed up’ to focusing in a sense.

1. Hydrate frequently

idk man it just keeps you awake + i dont feel so icky if i drink enough water

2. Learn actively

if the teacher asks questions, try to answer. sit at the front row. offer to help give out the worksheets or notes. clarify your doubts after. when they speak, copy down notes. don’t worry about the aesthetic; i mean you can but you need to write fast and neat which unfortunately doesnt come together very often. i suggest you spend more brain power digesting and understanding the content.

3. Don’t over highlight

ONLY KEY POINTS that are stressed by the teacher. you can tell when their tone changes, expression changes, when they use more hand motions, or they keep repeating a few key words. yes , that. highlight that. stare at it while listening to them speak. make sure you understand. if you don’t please ask. but make sure you don’t have a fluorescent page because that’s not ideal study material!

4. Write down any questions you have

if they’re answered in the lesson, cancel them off. if not, ask after the lesson. dont be scared! *sends virtual courage*

5. Use whatever free time you have to finish homework

because you’re gonna thank yourself later. you should spend more time at home revising than doing homework. ( doing homework isnt equivalent to revising PLEASE I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY REVISED FOR 3 HOURS BUT ALL THEY DID WAS HOMEWORK ) also it feels better knowing you have one less thing to worry about

6. Record down all assignments, due dates and test dates

do it in a planner or your phone. doesn’t matter just keep them somewhere. it can be demoralising to see an entire entry of shit to get done but still it’s better than not knowing what needs to be done. ignorance is NOT bliss. try to color code or symbol code them, for example • for assignments (due date behind), - for tests etc. act on this when you go home (see below)

7. Have a file/binder some form of organisation to keep different subjects’ worksheets, tests, notes, reading etc.

you can have one massive binder, one binder for each subject, one folder file for each subject or anything that suits you. for me, i clip all materials of one subject together with a binder clip. the materials i use most are at the front for easy reference. then put those bundles into zipper files, perhaps one for math and sciences, another for languages and humanities. or whatever suits you best! make sure you have everything in one place so you don’t panic and dig through a pile of dog-eared paper.

8. If you can, when it’s near the exam period, don’t stay back after school unless it’s to study.

i used to stay back for training and to play volleyball with my friends and i kid you not we would play from 2pm to 6.30 pm and get nothing done but it was fun. and i’m not saying deprive yourself of that fun but when the exams are near, you should be studying somewhere quiet/ somewhere you can focus. you should go somewhere (preferably home) where you can focus and get things done.

9. Decide if you’re a lone wolf or if you need a study buddy/study group

personally i’m a lone wolf because i hate distractions and i don’t want to distract others. but when my friends ask me for help i don’t mind staying back a little to teach them and/or study with them. Personally i find that for subjects like english which require you to write about an array of topics, studying with someone else can help in generation of essay points and to just broaden your understanding of the topic. so yeah it really depends, just do what suits you :)

10. Take notes in class

try to understand while copying, and if you didn’t understand something, you should raise your hand and ask for the teacher to repeat so that you hear it again. also, it gives you more time to take notes as they re-explain the content. read them after the lesson is over to help internalise some facts. you can create your own method of organisation for your notes, e.g. colour coding.

1. Review the day’s learning on the way home.

if you take public transport, try to flip through your notes and worksheets to review new content for the first time.

2. Eat lunch, have a snack, take a shower, everything that’s necessary.

if you use your phone while eating, make sure you don’t eat slowly just to use your phone because that’s wasting time.

3. If you’re super tired, just have a 15-20min power nap

nothing more otherwise you will NEVER wake up until the dead of night. just take a nap to get some energy back. doesnt matter if you wake up feeling more tired, because you’ll shake that feeling in a while. keep a glass of water beside you so that you can drink it once you wake up!

4. Look through your ‘list’ that you made earlier in the day. (in class, pt. 6)

you might want to spend max 10 mins updating your schedule. then stare at the dreaded homework. start with the easiest and least time consuming to build up momentum. this could actually be the remainder of what you’ve finished in school. then look at the due dates. do them in order of due dates. unless it’s a huge project or assignment, you might want a head start on it!

5. With the remaining time, you should start revising

review the day’s learning AGAIN.

make notes/mindmaps/flashcards whatever works for you. you should prioritise the subject or chapter that you were most confused about. quickly revise and try to clear up any questions you have about the chapter. if you have additional time, go ahead and make notes for the next subject! another way is going through corrections and clarifying your doubts with friends/teachers, and summarise the day’s learning on a post-it or two. if you’ve already taken notes in class, look at other sources e.g textbook and combine what you’ve learnt before re-writing or re-organising your notes.

1. Pack your bag!

remove unnecessary materials, and pack the necessary one. make sure your bag isnt too heavy. you can choose to hand carry some files or binders if they’re too bulky, but make sure you’re all packed before the next morning

2. Have a meal & clean up

again, basic necessities. don’t go to bed hungry or feeling icky because thats not how you treat yo self!

Before class:

if you’re going to continue on a chapter, review the content that came before it. Try to make your own connections between the already learnt and to-be learnt content so that you’re mentally ready for class.

In class:

take down notes, highlight, annotate and DRAW DIAGRAMS. you can’t do sciences without diagrams. for physics or chemistry which require more calculation, copy down the problems your teacher goes through and solve them along with him/her. write the formulas on a post it note so you can stick it onto the page where you’re writing for easy reference. if the teacher plays a video which is MOST DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO WAIT FOR YOU you have to write only the relevant points in the most abbreviated form possible.

Note-taking:

I find that linear notes help me most in sciences. for chapters that involve lots of interconnected processes, for example o chem, then mindmaps or flowcharts will be helpful. also if you tend to forget something, post-it that stuff on the front page of your notes where you are FORCED to stare at it. yes. write down example problems and their steps, then write explanations for each step so that if you’re confused you can always refer back. again, draw any required diagrams.

Answering techniques:

if there’s a ‘standard’ way to answer it then you have to make sure you follow that way even in your homework because it’s muscle memory. when you get to exams, your hand will automatically write in the same format so you don’t lose marks or spend time recalling the correct format.

imo sciences are quite logical so as long as you remember and follow the flow you’ll be fine!

In class:

copy key terms, facts and examples and write all examples that the teacher has gone through. write all formulas and definitions on a post it, then shift it around the pages as needed. if there’s a type of problem you particularly suck at, ask your teacher for help IMMEDIATELY because it’s so easy to forget the steps to a problem.

At home:

do your homework, do additional practice, correct your mistakes, clarify, and repeat. memorise formulas and definitions (perhaps using flashcards or post its) then practice more and make sure your concepts are strong. there’s no easy way and sadly this is all i can comment.

In class:

copy down notes, think actively, and if you’re given a sample essay you should annotate the heck out of it and keep it somewhere safe.

For essays:

read up more and write up. befriend the best writer in class and ask for their essays. write essay plans and consult your teacher. brainstorm possible approaches with friends. read the news, and copy the links of interesting online articles for future reference. have a go-to list of examples and quotes you can use, for any and every topic. read these like your bedtime story and never forget to keep updating them.

For comprehension passages:

read the questions first. then you’ll be more sensitive to what you need to read in the passage and how you need to analyse it. try to question yourself about how and why the author does something or makes you feel something. do not rush-read the passage or you will fail horribly (personal experience). do one or two extra comprehensions and ask your teacher to mark them.

In class:

ARROWS TO LINK EVERYTHING and annotate any class notes given. write down new examples provided by the teacher. if there is a link you ‘can check out’ go check it out. it’s probably something thats gonna be on the exam.

At home:

you have to rely on mindmapping and flow charts because everything is linked in some way and you cannot ignore those links!!!! although i do my humanities notes in linear form, my in class notes are all in the form of mindmaps. and actually i revise from those in a pinch because i can see everything at one go. watch vids on the concepts, for example plate tectonics. those things are so hard to see when they’re deadass sitting on the page and not budging. watch a video where they really move instead of being frozen.

If you’re so frickin lost:

watch more videos on the concepts, watch more videos on the events, search up interpretations online and ask your teachers!!! for everyone who gets equally lost as me when i’m faced with a new chapter, another way is to pre-read before the teacher starts teaching. if you’re lazy to read just watch a couple clips on it so that at least you have some background. even if you wake up the next day with 0 concrete memory, which you won’t, you’ll already have the flow of things which will help you if you’re usually the straggler.

god theres a lot of ships with how many bitches there are in this game- like id have to play through the game some more which i plan on doing anyway to write an essay-ass anthology of all the good shit here but for now i can shoot off my faves

ike/boyd:

yall already know i like myself some elihec and one reason is cause of their lil rivalry/best friend relationship yknow- you can look at those losers romantically or not and it’d still be some Good Shit. 

same logic with ike/boyd honestly- especially with there bantering asses in the beginning and generally how boyd tends to think of ike immediately when it comes to finding a sparring partner or just helping him out during their quest with the tri-arrow attack discussed with rolf and oscar.

another scene i found cute was after ike and others disobeyed titania and sought out the bandits alone and when greil is about to rip into ike about disrespecting orders, boyd’s the first one (i think its been awhile since i played that chapter) to step up and take the blame (admitted by him to be pretty out of character which i like to interpret as boyd just being flustered that hes caught caring for ike beyond their competitiveness)

unfortunately, not only is fe9 hard to play legally because of its stupid price, but even if you did sell your soul to buy the game intelligence systems has cursed my household by not allowing ike and boyd to have any support conversations, nor any interactions all together beyond a certain chapter, so ike/boyd is one of the rarest pairs you can like in this series especially considering the most popular ship is ike/soren with the tellius series

ike/ranulf

ike and ranulf meet uhhh god i dont rememebr honestly- but they meet about halfway into the game when ike and co properly become associated with the beast laguz where ranulf, considerably, becomes a reoccurring ally to the greil mercenaries.

couple reasons why i love these two- one being the whole laguz/beorc thing ight (lemme get on that in a sec). i.e., ike is big on joining laguz and beorc together, and ranulf doesnt really seem to mind them (i say ‘doesnt seem to mind them’ because, if i remember right, ranulf has real issues trusting beorc and even tells ike that if he naively trusts people he’ll end up hurt). ergo, id imagine that ike would love to get to know more about the laguz alltogether and ranulf himself (he’s clearly curious considering h is supports with lethe as well). additionally, their C support is fuckin cute as hell with ranulf taking pride in making ike laugh/smile at one of his jokes (which tbh i thought would set the grounds for a lovely af A support but instead i get ranulf calling ike a nitwit for trusting him so easily so thanks intell).

another big moment for me is how ike hardly hesitated to defend ranulf from the other beorcs after he was discovered in that one really racist town (its the one where you get zihark and board nasir’s ship y’all know the one) even if it jeopardized the possibility of them escaping the town quietly (double points for ranulf insisting on ike leaving him alone and ike essentially telling ranulf to fuck off with that shit)

its utter trash that ranulf joins the mercenaries at the very end of the game (maybe chapter 25-26? you get JUST enough chapters to achieve their A support), not to mention he pops in-and-out of the gang’s path to actually talk to ike. but im grateful there’s some content for these two, even if there isn’t as much as i would like

kieren/oscar

again yall know i love that rivalry shit but this time it’s extremely one sided on kieran’s part (oscar more-or-less just dealing with it and not making a fuss about it). but damn if there isn’t potential, especially when you can take kieran’s insistent rivalry as some form of admiration for oscar (not to mention the possibilities of their past with oscar originally working alongside kieran)

double points for kieran’s insistence that oscar come back with him to work as a crimean knight again (obviously more because kieran’s genuinely astonished oscar would willingly work with lowly-payed, unknown, not-pristine mercenaries). you can really just take it as kieran really lowkey missing oscar but being too prideful to admit it

ill also be damned if oscar cooking with kieran/teaching him how to cook wouldnt be the tightest shit to watch; i cant tell if kieran would be too stubborn to let oscar fully mandate what he does, begrudgingly listens to oscar, or is utterly impressed with oscar’s culinary skills and insists that ‘only someone as amazing as his rival would obviously be fit with abilities like that’

kieren/rhys

not exactly phat on my radar but it is cute as hell considering how easily concerned rhys becomes of kieran (and for good reason to the fucker regularly bludgeons himself with an axe and he wrestles bears jesus christ man), so its easy to imagine rhys making the excuse to kind of baby kieran to make sure he isn’t seriously hurt on or off the battlefield to just look/watch him

its also pretty fun to imagine rhys going with kieran when the dumb bitch proudly tells the army he’s about to go bear wrestling and rhys getting to see kieran ;lightly’ clothed to fight a fucking bear

im pretty sure in their A support, rhys tells kieran that if he isn’t more careful then the army’ll lose their most valuable soldier to something as stupid as a self-inflicted axe wound. its obvious that rhys said something along the lines of that (as well as a couple of other things in that support) because he acknowledges kieran’s self importance, but its also cute to imagine that rhys was able to use that fact to his advantage to tell kieran how much he means to himself (bonus points if, alternatively, rhy’s dialogue would follow some shit like ‘I- uh... We can’t lose a soldier as important as you, Kieran.’)

gatrie/shinon

another lowkey one (considering shinon and gatrie are absent for a decent portion of the game post initial chapters), but the one support i did manage to get of them was enough to sell me- cause frankly i find the idea of shinon teasing gatrie about buying them dinner and gatrie just being like “hhrhrum” as he begrudgingly agrees to be endearing; i.e. the sinon mentallity being ‘If you’re going to throw your money at everything, you might as well spend it on something worthwhile’ aka ‘lets just have a nice dinner together instead of you buying some random girl three bouquets of roses’

they also have a pre-planned attack together (albeit quickly mentioned to titania) like cmon they bondin yall they conversin

finally i love how shinon’s taller than gatrie- like this isnt necessarily ship-related i just finally have the opportunity to say it. like shinon could absolutely tease gatrie about it like ‘what did you say you wanted a kiss? ? ? i cant hear you from down there’ and gatrie just playfully punches his arm like ‘bro- dude- cmon please i missed you all day just bend down for two seconds’

i’ve been typing for a while and ive got the attention span of a brick but these are the ships i think of the most. during my second playthrough ill be damned if i dont develop more but feel free to send in more ship shit

It all defers from one person to the next, but there’s no right or absolute answer. There’s no magic formula. We put so much pressure on ourselves to have’ oals and aspirations and forget to live.I can’t claim to know what it feels like to be unloved by my family, although I doubt your parents would wish death upon you my dear. No one, absolutely NO ONE would be happy if you died, believe me. I fight with my parents like any other person but they are part of why I wake up every morning and do what I do. It’s true. You could live because – in my case – life keeps throwing you lemons and you really want to make lemonade and prove it wrong. You could live because you set yourself small short-term goals – go to the supermarket this week, get a haircut, write 500 words, do the dishes, walk for an hour – and you thrive off of crossing them off your list. Goals can me motivating but also absolutely disheartening when you focus on abstract things such as “happiness”, “success”, “love”, “being liked”. This is why so many of us are struggling to be happy nowadays, because we put too much pressure on ourselves to feel happy and grand all the time. We don’t have to. We should be allowed to spend a weekend alone and cry for absolutely no reason.I’m rambling here but I want you to know that I hear you. Your pain is valid and it is not laziness. Start small then grow big when you feel comfortable. Your purpose in life doesn’t have to be “be successful” for now. It could just be “take a walk and clear my mind”.Good luck to you my dear.
