⭐️ ⭐️ sneak peak at the daily schedule for 12-day training March 7-18. ⭐️ ⭐️ The kind of Yoga that we are practicing uses the body as a vehicle for Self-Realization. Eat clean, exhale and rest well. The real Self is not the body, not the mind, something more subtle than the breath, more subtle than the origination of the breath. But somehow, we can use this gross body 🤠😱😡😍😭 with all of its feelings and processes 💩 🍉 💦 to come closer to that Supreme Self. That is what we are doing in the poses, breathing, concentration. The teachings say that the experience of the body is arising from the mind which is arising from the past actions, the way we have treated others. In Yoga we must simultaneously work on helping others and also work to experience our own most subtle essence. 🖐🏽 🖖🏾🖐🏻🖐🏿Simultaneously. #yogahollis . . Practice. Patience. Perseverance. . For years, I threw myself upside down and hoped for the best! Sometimes, it worked longer than I could’ve imagined, more times, it was like ‘what the HECK was that?! Why the HECK are you not progressing beyond your current state?!’ WELL, You can’t always do it by yourself! Sometimes we need the help of others to move us forward to our goals. I have had great success in helping others achieve their goals. Having an eye to help them progress on their journey, so, why don’t I seek out the help of another for myself?! When you’re ready, the teacher will come! I never knew of my teacher, didn’t know anything about her; one day, I showed up, and there she was! I’m grateful to my teacher Sam, @lithiumkitten, for her knowledge and eye on helping me towards achieving my goal of a strong consistent handstand practice. With Sam, I’m able to study my movements and articulate what’s happening and what’s needed to further progress, not just throwing oatmeal at a wall and hope that something will stick! In my handstand practices, I’m now able to figure what works and what doesn’t work with greater clarity and control while performing a handstand. Analyzing those little nuggets of information, I feel so much stronger practicing.
