Loki and the Deeply Valid Fear of Being a Government-Issued Android Without Knowing It
Imagine living for over a thousand years, committing intergalactic crimes, then one random underpaid TVA clerk with a monotone voice suddenly introduces the possibility that, oh, by the way, what if you were secretly a robot this whole time? And Loki, who has always carried himself with the absolute certainty of a god, pauses. Like. “Wait. What if I am?”
He hears that question and immediately does a full mental diagnostic. Have I ever glitched? Ever felt oddly mechanical? Experienced an unusual fondness for oil? Maybe he’s too good at lying. Too good at surviving. What if that’s just the programming?
The TVA worker just moves on. He doesn’t elaborate. no reassurances. theres no safety net. Just the terrifying possibility that he might get instantly vaporized for something completely outside his control.
Id like to note, his hesitation isn’t even just some random existential crisis, it’s trauma-informed. This man already lived through the experience of waking up one day and realizing he wasn’t who he thought he was.
He grew up thinking he was a prince, a god, Odin’s rightful son, only to find out he was actually a stolen relic of war. A Jotun. A creature he’d been taught to hate.
He thought he knew himself before, and he was wrong. What if he’s wrong again? What if theres something else about himself thats been hidden? If he didn’t realize he was a Frost Giant, whats stopping him from not realizing he’s actually some highly advanced synthetic being?
It’s not just a funny existential gag, it’s a callback to one of the most devastating truths of Loki’s existence:
He has never really known who he is.
It’s the muscle memory of having his entire identity ripped out from under him. It’s the learned fear of asking, What am I, actually?
Because the last time he asked that question, the answer ruined him.

Can't Keep a Secret
Word count: 4300
Warnings: tickling, fluff, reader with an inability to keep secrets, reader with a crush on a certain god of mischief
I'm so excited for 100 followers!! I didn't expect so many people to actually be interested in my writing when I started posting 🥰
This one is based on @atlas-of-the-universe's request here for a fic where Loki tickles the reader to get information of some kind 😉 I hope this is what you were looking for!
This one also has a little more crushing/romantic fluff than some of my other fics at the end, so if you're not into that just skip that part. As always, completely SFW!
* * *
No one ever seemed to do anything nice for Loki. So, when Thor approached you to ask if you’d help him and the others plan a surprise birthday party for his brother, you wholeheartedly agreed to assist. As the Avengers’ best party planner, you jumped at the chance to start brainstorming ideas to make this party the best Loki had ever experienced – including on Asgard. And, if it meant he’d pay a little extra attention to you, well… that was an added bonus.
The only problem was – you were terrible at keeping secrets.
It wasn’t as if you went around spilling the details when someone asked you not to tell the others about something. You knew enough not to just blurt out the fact that you were planning a party. Unfortunately, though, you had a tendency to let your feelings show in your facial expressions. Trying to keep secrets made you anxious, knowing you’d been the one to accidentally say just a little bit too much in the past and ruined other surprises.
The fact that you were the worst secret keeper was no… secret, for lack of a better word. Your teammates frequently exploited this fact when they wanted to know what you were hiding from them. Tony, especially, loved to talk circles around you until he could get you to trip up and give some detail away. On the other hand, they also tried not to let you in on too many details when they were planning a surprise for one of the other team members.
This time, you were determined not to give anything away. You were thrilled that the team was finally going to do something special for Loki, and you were NOT going to ruin it by spilling the beans to the trickster. Thor was probably one of the more trusting members of the Avengers, and he assured you when he asked you to help with the party that he had faith you wouldn’t screw up (quite literally in those words).
You started researching online to get some ideas. This party had to live up to the standards of an Asgardian prince, so you couldn’t just order a few pizzas and beer and call it a party. Plus, Tony had offered to pay for the whole thing (you suspected he felt guilty for having accidentally blasted Loki through a wall in the training room with his new Ironman suit the week prior) so your funds were basically limitless.
Inevitably, though, you were bound to run into situations where you had to spend time with the raven-haired god without allowing yourself to let any details slip.
The moment Loki first started to suspect you were hiding something was when he walked in on a conversation you were having with Thor in the kitchen. You had been asking him about the Asgardian mead his brother loved so much and wanted to know if he could manage to get some here on Midgard for the party.
“What is it about the Asgardian mead that you like so much better than standard alcohol?” you inquired curiously.
“Ha! That is a very funny question, Lady Y/N,” Thor laughed heartily. “As if any Midgardian liquor could so much as hold a candle to the spirits we drink on Asgard.”
“Hey! I enjoy my tequila! Margaritas are arguably a delicious alcoholic beverage,” you bantered.
“You truly believe this ‘margarita’ as you call it could compare to the smooth, sophisticated taste of an Asgardian mead?” Thor countered.
“I must agree with my brother on this one – I have seen this ‘margarita’ drink you speak of, and it is highly unlikely to be superior to Asgardian spirits.”
You gasped involuntarily when you heard Loki’s voice in the doorway, spinning around to face him with a look of bewilderment on your face. He cocked his head to the side, raising an eyebrow as he scrutinized your expression.
“Oh, hey Loki! Didn’t see you there,” you greeted, trying to lean casually against the counter you were standing beside.
“Yes… it appears you didn’t. You look as if you’ve seen a ghost.” Loki folded his arms across his chest, eyeing you intently. “What was it that brought you to the subject of Asgardian liquor?”
“Oh, that? Well…”
“I was just informing Lady Y/N that I have been feeling a bit nostalgic thinking about the celebrations we had on Asgard, when we would drink heartily with Lady Sif and the Warriors Three,” Thor cut in, quickly interrupting you mid-sentence. “Brother, you must recall the time you had a bit too much while drinking with us and…”
“I believe that’s quite enough nostalgia for one evening, dear brother,” Loki cut in, appearing almost frantic as he glanced quickly at you before turning back to glare at the elder Asgardian. “Stark asked me to inform you he requires your assistance in the laboratory. You’ll need to continue this conversation another time.”
“Ah, yes, alright then. Another time,” Thor agreed, winking at you before he exited the kitchen. Loki followed close behind, but not before giving you one last calculating glance before he crossed through the doorway and out of sight. You let out a breath of relief, hoping he hadn’t thought much of the conversation.
You noticed, though, that Loki started conveniently popping up around you more often after that incident. Maybe he didn’t want Thor to have the opportunity to tell you about whatever embarrassing story had occurred when they were younger, you thought. Regardless, it meant that you had to be extremely cautious about doing any planning for the party in any of the common areas.
The second time you nearly let something slip was during a hushed conversation in the training room with Peter after one of your sparring matches. He had pulled you aside after training to ask your opinion about whether he should ask his friend MJ to attend the party with him. He’d had a crush on the girl for quite some time, and now that she knew his secret identity he thought it might be time to introduce her to his Avengers family.
“I’m nervous she might not want to come, but I think it would be a great chance for her to meet everyone when the focus would be on someone else,” he explained. You hiked your backpack up onto your shoulder with your training gear and made your way toward the door to the training room with Peter by your side.
“Why wouldn’t she want to come? From what you’ve told me, she seems to be more of a social butterfly than you are, even,” you asked.
“Yeah… you’re right, I’m probably overthinking this, aren’t I?” he chuckled. “I just don’t want to screw things up!”
“What are you screwing up this time, spiderling?”
You stopped short as you heard Loki’s voice from behind you, making your heart leap into your throat. You turned around, trying not to look startled.
“Oh, Peter wants his friend MJ to attend… a training session with us!” you fibbed, trying to think quickly. “You know, so he can show her his Spider-Man moves!”
“Yeah! That’s right,” Peter agreed, nodding vigorously. “I’m going to go call her right now, thanks Y/N!” Peter scurried off down the hallway, leaving you standing with a somewhat skeptical looking god of mischief.
“Why was Peter asking you about inviting a friend to his training? Would he not have asked Stark?” Loki inquired. You shrugged in a non-committal way.
“Who knows? Anyway, uh, it was nice talking to you, but I’ve got to get going… big assignment to finish up tonight, can’t really stop and chat. See you later!” you blurted, not waiting for a response as you hurried toward your room. Phew, that was close, you thought to yourself, hoping he hadn’t been standing behind you for too long.
Later that week, you found yourself alone in the common room while watching television. You pulled out your laptop during one of the commercials and started searching the internet for caterers, hoping to find something fancy enough to appeal to an Asgardian god. You had thought that everyone else was out for the day, so you weren’t overly concerned about anyone seeing what you were doing.
“What mindless reality television show are you watching today?” The smooth, baritone voice caused you to jerk your head up from your laptop screen and instinctively slam it shut. He hadn’t even been standing behind you to see what you were searching – it was purely on reflex that you closed the computer. Loki raised his eyebrows at you. “I see you aren’t really watching anything, are you? What is it you were viewing on your computer?”
“Nothing! I mean, nothing exciting, really. Just some old photos that I was trying to sort through,” you stammered, standing up with the laptop clutched to your chest. “You can have the TV if you want, though. I have to go… work on that assignment some more. I was just taking a break. It’s almost done!” Loki opened his mouth as if to say something, but you didn’t wait around to let him ask any more questions that might make you give away something you shouldn’t. You spent the rest of the evening in your room, avoiding the trickster at all costs.
The next morning, after getting ready for the day, you grabbed some breakfast before heading back to your room to continue to do some additional party planning research where Loki wouldn’t walk in on you unexpectedly. You shoved the last bite of one of Thor’s pop-tarts that you’d stolen into your mouth as you approached your door, opening it and walking toward your desk where your laptop sat. You always left the door slightly ajar when you were in your room, and so you were quite surprised when you heard the door thump shut behind you, the lock clicking into place.
“You’ve been hiding something from me.”
You stopped dead in your tracks, your heart pounding in your chest. You turned around slowly, staring wide-eyed at the god of mischief now standing in your bedroom between you and your only exit. His hands were clasped behind his back, his blue-green eyes gleaming ominously as he stared you down.
“Oh, hey Loki! What brings you to my room?” you asked, trying to sound casual.
“Let’s end this little charade, hmm?” He took a few slow paces forward into the room, closing the distance between the two of you. “It’s become clear to me over the last week that you have knowledge of some information that you do not want me to become aware of. I’d like you to tell me what it is.” His tone was calm; low, but dangerous. You swallowed hard.
“Loki, I-I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t have any secrets.” You took a step back from the advancing Asgardian, your back meeting the cold, hard wood of your desk behind you.
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way. The choice is up to you,” he threatened, stepping even closer so he was only a foot away from where you stood trapped against your desk. “Tell me what it is you’re hiding, or I will… coerce you into talking.”
“Coerce me? Heh, what’s that supposed to mean?” you asked nervously, your hands gripping the desk behind you.
“I have my ways. I am the god of mischief, after all.” Loki stood in front of you unmoving, a barrier holding you hostage against your desk.
“Even if I did have something to hide, you wouldn’t hurt me. Your brother would kill you,” you warned.
“I never suggested I would hurt you, darling. I would never do such a thing.” He took the slightest step closer. “You seem tense. Am I making you nervous?”
“Very.”
“Good.” A smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. “Have you decided, then? Will we be doing this the easy way or the hard way?”
“I told you, I have nothing to hide,” you insisted.
“Very well then. We’ll do this the hard way.” Quickly, you darted around Loki toward the door, trying to make your escape. He was faster, though, catching you with an arm around your waist and dragging you back so your back was against his chest. “Tell me, darling…” he growled in your ear, making you shiver, “… are you… ticklish?”
“Wha-“ you opened your mouth to protest but stopped speaking as you felt gentle scratching on your side. You shook your head quickly, suppressing the giggles that were threatening to rise out of your throat. If you stood still long enough, maybe he would give up.
“Do you think you’re fooling me by not allowing yourself to laugh? I felt you tense up immediately the moment I touched you.” He tightened his grip, wrapping both arms around your waist and digging his fingers into your sides. You snorted at the sudden sensation, doubling over to try to fight your way out of his grasp. “As I suspected. You are extraordinarily ticklish.”
“S-shut up, Loki!” you demanded, your muscles relaxing as his fingers stilled against your sides. He released you, allowing you to turn and face him but still standing in between you and the door.
“Now then – are you going to tell me what it is you’re hiding? Or do I need to tickle you until you are begging for mercy?”
You felt your face flush with heat. You’d been tickled before, certainly, but only for a few seconds at a time, and never as a means to pry information from you. Truthfully, though, you were enjoying this playful side of Loki. You were also determined not to tell him about the party – it would be so much more fun if it were a surprise, and he deserved to have fun. You braced yourself, folding your arms defiantly across your chest.
“There’s nothing to tell.”
Before you could react, Loki had tackled you, and you found yourself flat on the floor with your wrists pinned over your head. Your heart hammered against your ribcage as the dark-haired Asgardian loomed over you, his smirk growing wider.
“I see you’ve made your choice, then. But I should warn you – I don’t do mercy.” The fingertips of his free hand connected with your belly, lightly tracing the soft skin through your shirt. You turned your head so you wouldn’t have to look at him, his knowing stare making it more difficult to prevent yourself from laughing. Slowly, he applied more pressure until he was clawing at your belly with all five fingers, varying between the center and sides and analyzing your expression to evaluate your response.
“I-I’m telling y-you, t-there’s nothing to t-tell,” you insisted, jolting a little each time his fingers found a particularly sensitive spot.
“Unfortunately, I don’t believe you.” He shifted his attack to your side, his fingers spidering gradually up your ribcage. Your nerves were alight with ticklish shocks, helpless giggles now bubbling out of your chest.
“W-whyhyhy don’t you believe mehehe?” you asked, your tone starting to sound more desperate.
“You’re not exactly subtle. It’s rather obvious when you’re trying to keep a secret.” Loki was now scratching in between your upper ribs, and your giggles were evolving into desperate laughter. “I see this is becoming more challenging for you. I wonder – should I try to identify all of your weak spots? Surely one of them will get you talking.”
“NOHOHO LOKI!” you pleaded, thrashing to try to free your wrists from his grasp.
“You’ll need to provide me some information, then. What was it you were really discussing with my brother the other night?”
“HE TOHOHOLD YOU!!” You shrieked as Loki’s fingers found purchase under one of your arms, your feet pounding against the floor in desperation.
“Honestly, Y/N, I didn’t believe a word either of you said.” His fingertips grazed the underside of your upper arm, tracing from your elbow down to your underarm and back up again. You hadn’t realized how ticklish the soft skin of your arm could be, but his maddeningly light touch had you writhing to try to evade his fingers.
“STAHAHAP THAT!” you begged, yanking at your restrained wrists to try to lower your arms. Even before you were in this weakened state, the god of mischief was stronger than you.
“Then talk.”
“NEVER!”
“Aha!” he exclaimed suddenly, lifting his fingers away from your arm. You sucked in air desperately, letting out the residual giggles as he allowed you a moment to recover. “You ARE hiding something! You’ve given yourself away.”
“I… but… no I didn’t!” you pouted. He chuckled, a genuine grin spreading across his face at your adorable, disappointed frown.
“It’s too late now. You may as well tell me your secret.”
“I won’t tell! I’ll never tell!” you barked, a sudden surge of bravery rushing through you.
“I’m afraid I must continue, then,” he stated, feigning pity. “Why don’t you tell me where else you are ticklish instead?”
“What? No! I won’t tell you that either!”
“Fine. It’s much more amusing for me to locate your weak spots myself anyway.” Loki released your wrists and in the same motion reached behind him to squeeze above your knees with both hands. You yelped at the unexpected touch, trying with difficulty to sit up now that your arms were free. You reached toward Loki’s sides to try to retaliate but he was too perceptive, grabbing a wrist in each hand using his cat-like reflexes. “You don’t want to do that, darling,” he warned.
“Oh, but I think I do,” you argued, trying your hardest to break free of his grip. He wrestled with you for a moment, successfully forcing you onto your stomach so you could no longer sit up and try to counterattack.
“Now then – where were we?” he huffed as he sat himself down on the back of your legs, pinning you in place. You lifted your upper body up onto your elbows and turned to look at him, keeping a close eye on his hands. “Ah, that’s right. You were about to tell me what you were discussing with the spiderling the other day.”
“No I was-“ your retort died in your mouth as Loki’s fingertips touched down on the backs of your knees. “L-Loki, hold on, don’t you even think about it.”
“Why? Too sensitive?” he teased, tracing one finger along the tendon in the back of your knee. You let out a squeal, only egging him on as he began to flutter his fingers against the thin skin there.
“LOKI I WILL KIHIHILL YOHOHOU!”
“You hardly sound threatening when you’re giggling like a child,” he taunted, tracing along the skin on the inner sides of your knees. You reached back desperately with one hand while holding yourself up with the other elbow, trying to grab hold of his tickling fingers. He snickered at your feeble attempts, reaching up quickly to slide his fingers under your arm so your elbow would buckle beneath your torso before returning his attention to your knees. “This could all stop if you’d just tell me what your secret is.”
At this point, you’d come to the embarrassing realization that you were actually having fun, despite your abdominal muscles aching from laughing so hard. You were also still determined to keep the party a secret, if not for you then for Loki’s own good. You picked yourself back up onto your elbows so you could turn and look back at him defiantly.
“No!” you declared.
“No? I see I must not be trying hard enough, then. Let’s try somewhere else, shall we?” Loki shifted his weight so he could pin your legs down with his shin, his gaze turning down toward your socked feet.
“Don’t… you… dare!” you warned, noticing where his line of sight was directed. He placed his fingertips teasingly against the soles of your feet, maintaining eye contact with you, eyes glowing with mischief.
“I’ll give you one final chance. Spill,” he ordered. You merely smirked back at him.
“Make me.”
Without another word, Loki sprang back into action, his torturous fingertips skimming along the soles of your feet. Frantic giggles spilled from your lips as you tried jerking your feet away from his touch without success.
“I’d wager you’re regretting what you said now, aren’t you?” he goaded, scratching under your toes with one finger on each foot. Your giggles pitched up as you curled your toes to prevent him from reaching the sensitive skin. “Are you prepared to talk now?”
“NEHEHEVER!!” you screeched, still determined to win. Eventually he’d get tired of this and give up, right?
“Then I’m afraid you leave me no choice.” You practically screamed in ticklish agony as his fingers once again connected with your ribs, darting rapidly up and down your sides and under your arms, scribbling into the small of your back, fluttering against the sides of your neck and behind your ears, never staying in one place long enough to grow accustomed to the sensation. Your laughter fell silent as you tapped your hand hard on the floor, signaling you were giving up. Seeing your signal, Loki’s fingers stilled against you, still pressed gently into your sides as a warning that he could start right back up again at any moment. “Talk.”
“I will… alright… just… just give me a sec,” you huffed, your chest heaving with exertion. Your mind was racing, trying to come up with a plausible lie that would satisfy the god of lies. Your heart sank as you realized you couldn’t possibly come up with something in the next ten seconds that would fool him. It had to be the truth. “I’ll tell you, but you have to swear to me you won’t tell your brother that I told you.”
“That depends on what it is you’re about to tell me,” Loki bantered.
“No, I’m serious!” Loki shifted so his weight was no longer pressed on your legs, and you turned over into a seated position on the floor. “Promise me you won’t tell.”
“Fine. I promise. Now tell me.” You took a deep breath.
“We’re planning a party. For you. It was supposed to be a surprise.”
Loki was silent for a moment, his expression unreadable. His blue-green eyes searched yours as if trying to find any hint of a lie in your face. His face softened a bit as he began to realize you were actually telling the truth.
“What for?” he asked, his tone flat.
“For your birthday.”
“We don’t celebrate birthdays on Asgard, we have far too many of them to be excited for them.”
“Ugh, Loki, don’t you get it? Thor wanted to do something nice for you! I wanted to do something nice for you!” You held his gaze, trying to prove to him you still weren’t lying.
“You wanted to do something for me?” His voice was low, but there was something different about his tone; something you hadn’t heard before. Hope? Excitement? You averted your gaze down to the floor, poking at the fibers in the carpet with your finger.
“Yeah, I did. You deserve something nice. You’ve come a long way since New York. And you’re… a good friend.” You felt heat rush to your face. You’d nearly revealed another secret, one you had no intention of telling him today. Or ever. Unfortunately, Loki was perceptive.
“That sounded like another lie, Y/N,” he stated ominously. You risked a glance up at him, seeing a smirk slowly spreading across his face.
“What?! No, it’s not!” you argued, the warmth in your face spreading to your ears.
“Haven’t you learned not to lie to me by now?” Loki suddenly grabbed hold of your waist, dragging you closer to him. “Or do I need to repeat the lesson?” His fingers latched onto your ribcage, squeezing and kneading with maddening precision. Still exhausted from the previous attack, you immediately caved.
“ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! I like you, ok??” Loki stopped tickling you, not yet releasing you from his grasp. You covered your flushed face with your hands. “Happy now?”
Loki pried your hands gently away from your face, tilting your chin up with his finger. His eyes were softer than you’d ever seen them before as he gazed at you, a small smile on his face. With a surge of confidence, you closed the gap between your faces, pressing your lips to his. He kissed you back, gently but passionately all at once. When he finally pulled away, he grinned at you.
“Yes, I am happy,” he said simply. You smiled shyly back at him.
“Good.” You hardened your expression a bit, although admittedly it was hard to wipe the smile off your face. “You still have to act surprised. I can’t have people thinking I can’t keep a secret.” Loki laughed at that, his voice rumbling in his chest.
“But you can’t, darling.” He gave you one last poke in the side, eliciting a whine from you. “I’ll do my best to act surprised. I am the god of lies, after all. I should be able to put on a convincing display.”
“Good.” You allowed him to help you to your feet before shooing him out the door. “Now, get out of my room. I still have planning to do.”
“Alright, alright,” he chuckled, stopping in the doorway to look at you. “I’ll go, but only if you’ll have dinner with me tonight.”
“Only if you don’t tickle me,” you countered.
“Sorry, love, but I can’t make any promises,” he replied, winking. You sighed, smiling at him.
“I guess I’ll take my chances then.”

Run Away - Roger Taylor x Reader
Summary: Reader finds that Roger is cheating and decides to run away to break his heart too.
Request: @superchaostree : Heyy! I have a request for a super angsty and kinda unrealistic roger x reader thing. Basically my brain farted and this is what it came up with: the reader finds out Roger had an affair and decides to disappear and create a new life for herself. No one knows where she's gone or why. Years later, Roger and the reader bump into each other and she looks different but he'd recognise her any where. This is really long I'm sorry, but if you could do it that would be great! Thankssss!
Pairing: Roger Taylor x Reader, Ben Hardy!Roger Taylor.
Word count: 3592 (wtf?! I didn't realize it was that long)
Warning: lots of angst but with a happy ending.
A/N: You will probably find a couple (or a lot) of errors, I apologize in advance.

You never thought you would found out this way cause, in all honesty, you would never imagine Roger was cheating on you, and being more honest, you thought he changed for you, but now you felt foolish thinking that.
The moment you picked up the phone you intended to call Jim Beach for the last arrangement of tour since you were going with them for a few months so you could cheer on your boyfriend and his bandmates, but your thoughts were completely crowded the moment you hear the conversation Roger was having with another woman on the other line.
“Yes, meet me at the same hotel tonight, ” Roger mutter with a seemed like a nervous tone.
“But Roger I want somewhere fancier, not that crappy hotel, ” the girl whines as you feel your heart stopping when the realization hit you.
All you wanted was to hang up and go to the other room where Roger was, you bit your lip furiously knowing he thought he was being sneaky.
“You know the drill, we fuck at that hotel cause nobody can know we are doing it,” Roger tried to explain just as you covered your mouth when he said those words, you wanted to cry when the confirmation slap you on the face, but for some reason, you didn’t.
“When will you leave that girlfriend of yours so we can go official, ” you closed your eyes dreading what Roger might answer to than.
“You know the answer to that, ” Roger said clearly exasperated by her attitude “I love her, I will never leave her.”
You felt a sense of pride in those words, but you knew it meant nothing since he was cheating on you.
“You don’t love her that much if you are cheating on her, ” the girl said almost as if she was reading your mind.
“I do love her, ” Roger declare as you sense a hint of remorse “ I am not having this conversation with you, are you going to be at the hotel or not?”
“Of course I will, ” she respond with what sounded like a grin on her face “I always will.”
You couldn’t hear anymore, finally you hang up the phone being careful that no one would notice you were eavesdropping.
A sigh escaped your mouth not being sure what to do, loads of thoughts were racing in your mind, and you weren’t sure which to listen, just as you stand up ready to splash some water in your face, Roger entered your shared room.
“Hey, love, Bri just called me, he says we need to go to the studio, it seems he has a big idea for tour, you know how he is,” Roger explain to you, not realizing the look on your face as he was straight up lying to you, but the moment you didn’t answer him, he finally looked at you “is everything okay, love?”
You fake a smile at his words, realizing two could play the game of breaking the other’s heart.
“Yes sure, tell Bri I can’t wait for our rematch in Scrabble.”
“Oh yes! I almost forgot you are coming with us on Tour,” Roger almost yelled in excitement as he kissed your temple “It is going to be the best tour.”
You simply smiled and nodded at his comments, not being sure if he was lying to you or if he meant any of it, you felt so heartbroken and lonely even though Roger was a few steps away from you.
Tumblr media
All night you couldn't sleep overthinking everything, you stay in bed rolling around not sure if you could complete the plan you had in mind, but the moment Roger came back and cuddle next to you smelling like alcohol, sex and the perfume of another woman you felt more determined than ever.
The next morning you wait for him to leave early for work, a part of you still miss his touch when he got out of bed, but after be entered the bathroom you rubbed your eyes like you wanted to erase every memory with him.
You felt a kiss in your forehead and as you open your eyes you saw him, with such a tendered smile it made it even more difficult for you to hate him.
"Did I wake you up?" Roger inquired as he strokes your hair.
You muttered a quiet "no", and for a quick moment you saw regret in his eyes, you opened your mouth to say something but nothing came out, Roger chuckles a little as the ghost of regret was long gone, just as your need to say something.
"I'll see you for lunch?" Rog asked as you nod at him, he started walking out of your house like he had nothing to worry about.
When you heard the front door closed, for the first time since you knew the horrible truth you let a sob out of you, you cried and cried until you felt there were no more tears in you.
The moment you saw the clock, you knew it was time to go, you grabbed a suitcase and starter putting all your clothes in there, when you made sure everything you wanted was in there, you started walking all over the house trying to find things you might want or need, just your thing, you didn't want to move on with Rogers things still in your possessions.
When you walked out the door you made sure not to turn around, cause if you did you weren't sure if you could continue your plan.
Tumblr media
You started the car that Roger gave you and drive to the airport ready to continue your plan, for the first time you notice you were shaking, but the truth was you weren't sure why, it may have been from how awful you felt that the love of your life cheated on you, or it might also be how nervous you felt for leaving everything you had behind into a puzzle so no one could find you.
When you arrived you started searching for a destination, Not knowing where you would ”want” to go, it wasn't until your eyes read the next flight available "New York" you mutter to yourself already walking to buy your ticket.
The moment you realized the paparazzi found you, you tried your best to contain your smile, clearly, you would be in the front page of the papers as people question were Roger Taylor's girlfriend was going without him just days before the tour began. Now you only pray that they would pay someone to know where you were going.
Roger knew how much you loved New York, there was no better way for him to believe you were heading there, you truly didn't plant any clue that you were even travelling to another country, but you believe he would find out one way or another.
You thanked the front desk lady and turned around to go to the bathroom so you could change into the other clothes you prepare, you applied a red lipstick shade and put the bigger sunglasses you could find, also you arrange the wig you just put on as you saw your reflection in the mirror, you truly didn't look anything like you, a sigh escaped your lips realizing that not only your appearance look different, you felt different as well.
Before you left the bathroom, you ripped your ticket and threw it into a trash can, and with a last look in the mirror, you made your way to the entrance as you tried to find another available cab to take you elsewhere.
A devilish smirk appeared in hour face when you passed the paparazzi, and they didn't recognize you, but it was only there to cover your true emotions, cause being honest you felt more lost than ever.
Tumblr media
Roger knew something was up when you were late for lunch, normally you would always be in time knowing he needed to be back for rehearsals as soon as possible, but when he realized you were almost 30 minutes late, he started to panic.
He didn't ask for the bill, Roger just placed way more money than he spent and ran to his car hoping you were okay and that you just forgot about lunch, but he knew you better than that, and the feeling in his stomach didn't leave him not even when he was home.
Roger felt his heart stop when he realized your car wasn't there, and even he already knew you weren't home he made his way in as he searched for you all over the house, he tried to convince himself that nothing was left, that there were still things from you in there, but the moment he entered the closet and saw the emptiness that you left he knew you were long gone.
There was nothing yours to be seen and it drove Roger mad, he sat on the bed feeling like he lost everything cause he couldn't keep the promise of being faithful.
Roger knew he loves you, way before you even realized it, but the word commitment really scared him, not realizing there were things worse than that, but now he knew when he felt the pain of your absence that losing you was way more hurtful than everything he could imagine.
Roger turned around to see your spot in bed, he was surprised he didn't notice a letter addressed to him, he recognized your handwriting and almost jumped to grab it like if he touched the only thing you left you would appear next to him.
He was so afraid to open it cause he knew full well what it said, his heart was pumping faster than he could ever imagine just as he traced his name on the top of the letter.
Roger,
Don't know how to start this letter, but I guess we both know what it will be about.
Let's start from the beginning, you were the first person I had ever fallen in love with and yet, you are the first person to broke me as no one has ever done before.
When I met you I kept reading and hearing people telling me it would be a mistake, that you were just a playboy who didn't know how to love anyone else but you, I fought all of them cause I believed in you, because I loved you, but now I realized they were right, I thought they were idiots for not believing in us, for not believing in you, but now I realized that I was the idiot who thought you would change for me.
Don't try to look for me cause I don't have it in me to see you again without thinking of you and her, I am hurt that you lied to me and the worst part is that I believed you.
Roger couldn't stop reading and rereading your letter all over again, he felt so guilty cause you were right, but he never wanted to lose you the way he did, he really planned to leave that woman and asked you to marry him, and now he felt foolish thinking he could make it happen without hurting you.
Tumblr media
You sat on one of the beaches of Brighton, it has been over a week since you move here, and being quite honest it was really hard, there was always a magazine or a newspaper showing Roger, you never read any of them not being sure you could handle it
It was a nice day today, which helped you improve your mood a little after barely leaving your apartment just to get food and then go back in there to prepare something that you ended up not eating.
You always felt a constant fear of people recognizing you, but being honest there were days when you had to look at yourself in the mirror not recognizing you anymore, your featured were the same, but your hair was different which changed things a great deal, you decided to dye it to the colour you always wanted and cutter way more than you would normally do, you knew that if someone saw you on the streets they wouldn't know who you are.
There sound of the seagulls brought you a wired sense of comfort as you watch the waves of the sea go back and forward.
You weren't sure what was your next step, you planned to stay here at least a couple of month, then you would go back to London and continue living your life as you, not the girlfriend of the famous drummer, just you.
Tumblr media
Today was one of those nights you wanted to celebrate, you bought yourself one bottle of tequila and some snack, you prepared everything making sure you would get drunk as fuck, wanting to forget about every shitty decision you made and celebrate how you live here for over four months without anyone realizing it.
Unfortunately, you were interrupted when someone knocked on your door, you rolled your eyes hoping it wouldn't be your flirty neighbour who wanted to get in your pants.
But you were more than surprised when you opened the door and saw no other than Roger Taylor, the chips that you were holding fell to the floor as you check the bottle of tequila afraid that you drink already way more and you were seeing Roger instead of your crazy neighbour.
"Hey, love, " Roger mumble quite unsure of what your reaction would be.
You open your mouth to say something, but nothing came out of it, you weren't sure what to do now that he was here, and being drunk didn't help the case.
"How are you?" Roger asked wanting to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, but he knew he lost that privilege a long time ago.
"How did you found me?" you asked feeling nauseous just thinking about everything.
In all honesty, you weren't mad at him anymore, the stage of screaming and throwing things at him was long gone, but that didn't mean you already forgave him, you felt as hurt as you were the day you found out, but a part of you really missed him, and even though you wanted to fight it so bad, that was the truth.
"A friend invited me to get my mind off thing... Off you, " you sighed at his comments not understanding if he genuinely was hurt "I saw you at the beach the other day, I wasn't sure if it was you cause you know... You look so different."
Without noticing it you touch your hair sometimes forgetting how different it was.
"You look so beautiful, like always, " Roger admitted afraid of what your reaction would be after all he did to you "I just wanted to… I don't even know, I look for you everywhere, I went to New York only to found you were never there, it didn't surprise me though, I already knew how intelligent you were."
You look at him as his name rolled out of your lips, you felt tears starting to form in your eyes afraid that the feelings you made sure to bury where resurfacing again.
“I know I screw thing up, and it is fine if you wanted me to go,” Roger said as you realized there were tears in his eyes as well “but I just want to talk, please.”
That plea was the thing that broke you, you fall on the floor sobbing as the memories resurface all over again, not just the bad ones, but the good ones and those were the ones that hurt you the most.
You felt Roger's arms embracing you as you rest your head on his chest, you didn’t know how long both of you stayed there, cause even if it hurt, you always felt like Roger was home to you, and you were sure Roger felt the same.
When both of you got your composure all over again, you moved your conversation to the sofa, you tried to keep a distance but as the time went by you ended up next to each other as the empty bottle of tequila was on the floor.
“I don’t know if I will ever trust you again,” you finally told Roger not being able to look into his eyes as you said those words.
“I understand,” Roger admitted sincerely as he finally tucks that piece of hair behind your ear.
“At least she was better fuck?” You joked trying to lighten the mood.
“No one has ever been better than you,” Roger admitted feeling really proud when he hear your laugh.
“Wanting to know what happened between you is masochism?” You question noticing how Roger moves uncontrollably “you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
“You deserve it, love” you jumped a little from the nickname quite surprised by it “we met while I was on tour last year, I was so wasted and she looked so much like you, the first night it was quite an accident cause I really thought it was you, but then she kept coming back, and I am not sure why I never pushed her away?”
You nod at his words not sure why you asked it to hear it other than to stop making stuff up in your mind.
“That is a lie,” you turn to look at him not understanding what he meant “I did it cause I love you so much and I was so afraid of commitment, that might sound so fucking stupid but it is the truth, I never love someone as much as I loved you, as much as I still love you.”
Roger let a sigh out as he looks back at you with such sad eyes, you knew he wants bullshiting you.
“You don’t have to say it back,” Roger mumbled as he cleans his tears with the back of his hand.
Now it was your turn to move a piece of his hair off his face, you started at him as you tried to remember every detail of his face, he stares at you quite surprised by your actions.
“I still love you too,” you mutter as it brings a certain light to Roger’s face, you let a chuckle out of your mouth while you traced his cheek before you removed your hand to place it over your knee “but we will need time Rog.”
Tumblr media
Roger had to go back to London while you decided to stay in Brighton a little bit longer, he always called you every day wanting to hear your voice so bad, but sometimes it got really hard being apart, though you knew it was for the best if you wanted to start things all over again.
All that didn’t go as easy for Roger as he would expect, the moment the rest of the band found out what happened they were all over Roger's back making sure he knew how lucky he was you were giving him another chance.
“Oh dear, I miss you so much, I can’t believe our bloody Roger could be such a dickhead,” Freddie said through the phone since it was really common that whenever Roger called you, the boys would always try to talk to you as well “but we will keep our eyes on his sorry ass, my dear.”
“Freddie, as much as I would love you to do that, I would appreciate more if he stayed without getting into anyone’s pants on his own,” you said as you played with the phone cord realizing how much you missed the boys as well.
“Fair enough, dear,” Freddie agree as he giggles at your word choice “Roger is still bugging me to give him the phone so I if he is a dick just hang up.”
You laugh at his comment just as you heard Roger trying to get Freddie to give him the phone and shut up.
“Hello, love,” Roger said when he finally had control over the phone “how are you?”
“Really good, I missed hearing from the guys,” you answered as you sigh in content.
“They really miss you as well, I can’t wait to see Freddie’s reaction when he sees what you have done to your hair,” when Roger said that you heard a surprised gasp from Freddie and a few seconds later you could swear he tried to take the phone away from Roger again “fuck off, Fred.”
You weren’t sure that at that moment there could be something that could erase the smile you had on your face as you felt everything falling into place all over again.
“Y/n…” suddenly Roger said with such a serious tone it made you sit straight again “what about us?”
You frown at him comment not quite sure what he meant since just a few seconds ago he was fighting with Freddie over who could talk on the phone with you.
“What do you mean?” You ask as you started biting your nails.
“How are we? Are you and I…good?” Roger asked clearly nervous to know the answer.
You gave yourself some time to answer, you knew the answer but it was scary finally acknowledging thing was going great between the two of you all over again.
“We are better than good, Rog,” you finally said with the biggest smile knowing Roger had one of those as well.

Band AU
Hay, I'm back again with the AU for the thorbruce week, I really enjoyed writing this one, I'll probably write more of it, but yes, enjoy :)
Bruce still couldn’t believe that he let Tony drag him into this, he really did not like crowded places, or too loud music for a matter of fact. Yes, it was true, he liked Asgardian Gods, this band Tony had shown him a few days ago but he really didn´t need to see them live.
He already regretted and he didn’t even make it until the actual band, after the first two songs of the support he felt panic rise up in himself and fled outside. Yes, a metal concert was not a good place for him to be, Bruce decided as he let sink himself down the wall of the concert hall. He sighted, running his trembling fingers through his hair, trying to calm down.
Footsteps came closer, Bruce looked around him, expecting to see Tony, but instead of the other scientist a huge guy looked at him “The concert is inside there, you know?” he grinned.
“Yeah, I know, but I am kind of avoiding going back in there. My friend dragged me here because his boyfriend had to work surprisingly, but I am not as much of a fan of crowds, so he´ll probably knows where to find me when the concert is over…”
Bruce shrugged at him, smiling back a little awkward “But the same goes for you, why aren´t you inside?” An expression of surprise flashed over his face before grinning even wider “Well, I am not exactly here to see the bands, I am more like, staff. Just getting some air before, well, work I guess.” He paused a second “May I sit with you?”
“Uhm, yes, of course.” He scooted over, more symbolically than to really make place for the guy. The blond one sat down next to him with some space between them “So, you work for the band? Must be very exciting, you get around much when they are touring, I´d love to travel more.” Bruce tried to start a conversation after a moment of comfortable silence, looking over to the other one.
“Yes, it is very fun, but al lot of work either… sometimes the touring is pretty annoying, I mean, it´s the only reason I do not have a dog, and also it is hard to find a significant other when you-” he seemed to hold something back “when you aren’t home as often…”
Bruce scoffed.
“Well, being a professor is not the best job to impress people either. I love teaching and all, but people, don’t really think it is exciting or cool for a matter of fact." The blond guy looked like he could not believe what Bruce told him.
Up close the scientist could identify a few more of the man´s features, he was younger than Bruce even if not by much, he also had bright blue eyes, furthermore Bruce had noticed his Norwegian accent, which made sense considering that the man toured with a Norwegian black metal band.
“I think it's awesome! You've got to be very smart then, don't you? Which subjects do you teach?”The man seemed genuinly interested, so Bruce started telling him about how he held lectures in physics, astrophysics and engineering at the local university, getting lost in the details, as always when he talked about something he was passionate about.
After some time Bruce stopped in the middle of his sentence, realising how he went on and on about things the other one maybe didn't even understood "Oh God, you've got to be awfully bored! I'm sorry, why didn't you stop me? When it comes to science I never notice when I speak too much..." he grinned apologetically and scratched his neck.
"Don't worry about it, I may not look like it, but I have a degree in astrophysics, so I understood quite a bit. Also I think it is beautiful when people talk about things they love, with you for instance, your eyes lit up and you used a lot more of basic body language like gestures. It's rather impressive how people lose their shyness when asked the right questions." the man reassured him, "Oh, I am Thor by the way"
"Oh, yes, I totally forgot,my name is Bruce. It's amazing how you pick up all those little details." Thor smiled at him "A friend taught me, he is way better."
They sat in comfortable silence again, wind lightly tugged on Thor's long hair and Bruce couldn't help him self but admire how pretty the other one was, and not just that, but Thor was also into science! Bruce smiled softly at Thor, who opened his mouth to say something just as the door labeled 'Staff only' flew open and a man with dark hair stepped outside "Seriously Thor," he began, sounding very annoyed "If you don't get your ass inside and on stage in the next" he paused to glare at his watch dramatically, "two minutes we'll have to get an other drummer! So get inside!" the man disappeared as fast as had shown up without acknowledging Bruce at all. And Bruce had questions.
Thor seemed to know, "I am sorry, my brother... I've gotta go, will you wait here?" He sounded hopeful, standing up "I'll be back as soon as I can, okay? Like, if you want to, I'd like to give you my number but I really gotta go, Loki will stab me, God, I need a watch!"
"Uhm, yeah, it's not like I got places to go... But only if you promise not to forget, okay?" Bruce smiled up at him, blushing slightly as he saw Thor nodding enthusiasticly.
"See you later, Bruce!" he smiled over his shoulder as Thor hurried inside, the door closing behind him.
Bruce couldn't stop smiling, his heart beating faster in his chest. He would definitely wait.
-
Two hours later when people started exiting the concert hall Thor hadn't been back yet. It made sense when thought about what his brother had said, telling people he was a crew member would be easier than tot tell them about being a drummer. Bruce could imagine that people were way more up his ass when he told them the truth.
"Hey nerd, where have you been?" he heared Tonys familiar voice "I haven't seen you since five minutes into the concert!"
"I felt uncomfortable and left, I tried to tell you but it was too loud so I just hoped you'd figure it out. Can we wait a little? I wanted to meet someone here..."
" Bruce!" Thor came out of the staff door as if on demand "I am so glad you waited!"
Bruce jumped up immediately "Why shouldn't I, I told you I would" his heart began to beat faster again and he just had to smile awkwardly "I don't know, sometimes people overthink things and yeah, but I got something for you-" he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket. "That's- that is my phone number" he specified as Bruce took the paper "I hope you text or call sometime..."
Bruce smiled warmly and blushed "I wouldn't have waited if I wouldn't want to, would I?" he took out his phone and quickly wrote Thor a text "Well, now I can't lose your number..." he looked at Tony who just grinned as if he wanted to comment on the situation, but did not just because he knew Bruce would metaphorically kill him. "I- I think we have to go home now, where are you next, maybe we can meet tomorrow or something?"
Thor beamed at him. "I would love to, we are not too far away, actually. So, we'll see each other tomorrow?"
"Yes, I'm looking forward to it... Bye" he waved at Thor awkwardly, the other one waved back "See you tomorrow"
Bruce was still smiling when Tony pulled on the motorway.
"You're getting yourself hot drummer now? If you would have told me I'd have helped you with your outfit" Tony laughed, "Shut up, Tony" Bruce mumbled, his thoughts still with the blond man.

Can we have more attention on Fenrir? I really want to see your take of him dating in this highschool au. With that in mind, I think Hel is crushing on Ullr. Both of the twins are. Additionally, love this au. It so great
would you like an entire dating sim path for fenrir? if not then idon’t care bc i’m doing it (it’s roughly 1000 words and it’s v messy oops)
background: fenrir has a bad reputation around the schoolbut he doesn’t care - he’s known for starting fights and generally being stand-off-ish and cold to everyone aside from his sisters and tyr
intro
starts off with you being in a few of his classes, you sit next to each other in maths and that’s how you initially bond when helping him out with algebra and the like. at first he ignores you but over time he begins to open up to you
even the act just acknowledging him with a simple hi before class means a lot to him
one day he decides to sit next to you at lunch when you’re by yourself. you make light conversation with him, and he rants about a show he’s been watching recently - it’s cute how invested he is and you say that you might start watching it as well…
over time he hangs around you in your other classes more, pairing up with you before your other friends can say anything. you sometimes notice him trailing you awkwardly as he doesn’t know how to start talking to you outside of class and you notice that when you walk to class he’s awfully close to you and seems to stick to you like a bodyguard
(if this was an actual dating sim route this stuff would be over a few weeks or so :P)
special event #1
eventually he asks you to sit with him and his sisters at lunch - you know that he’s very protective about them it’s nice to know that he trusts you enough to talk to them
you’re a bit nervous but you have nothing to fear – light hel is super friendly and sweet, asking lots of questions about you to keep the conversation going
fenrir is embarrassed bc he considers you a friend but he doesn’t know simple things like your favourite colour as you’ve mostly been listening to him in conversation. he does care but he hasn’t had a close friend in forever and needed someone outside his family to talk to
dark hel is a bit cold towards you but she joins in by teasing fenrir. when fenrir goes to the bathroom she interrogates you too see if you’ve got any ulterior motives talking to fenrir but light hel manages to hold her back before he returns dark hel makes it a point to emphasize that he doesn’t try to talk to others often, and she thinks that someone has a crush on you.
at the end of the lunch break fenrir apologises for his sisters (mostly light hel), and he asks you to go out with him to a local shopping centre to hangout. it’s just a casual thing but seeing fenrir lightly blushing makes you wonder if there’s something more to dark hel’s words
first date
when you arrive at the shopping centre you find fenrir rocking a super nice leather jacket - you say that he looks good and he tries to return the compliment but he’s too flustered to say anything
you explore a few stores, but fenrir gets the feeling that you’re being watched by something – while you’re going from store to store he spots his sisters and dad not-so-secretly spying on you two. fenrir drags you into the cinema, trying to get away from them. he quickly buys tickets for the next film showing – it’s a romantic comedy :^)
it’s cold in the cinema, and fenrir offers his jacket toyou. it’s surprisingly comfortable and warm, smelling faintly earth-y. you finish watching the film (you do note that he was trying to wrap his arm around you but when you moved closer to lean against him he had to excuse himself to the bathroom instantly... weird) and decide to go to a nearby arcade to finish off the day. he wins a few prizes for you but you manage to win a little wolf plushie and give it as a gift for his company today.
…and he invites you to come to his house tomorrow!
second date
you arrive at his house and fenrir instantly remarks about the strangeness of his father. you don’t see his father until you walk to back fenrir’s room. loki’s there with a glass pressed against the wall trying to listen to fenrir - you just decide to walk in and not say anything…
basically you spend another day messing around watching movies and playing games~
you end up finding out that he likes being scratched andpetted like a dog much to his great embarrassment. you also notice that the wolf plushie you won for him is on his mantle alongside all his sports awards and pictures of his family - it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy thinking about it
while you’re talking you manage to get on the topic of his behaviour at school and you learn that a big reason why he hasn’t dropped out yet is because of tyr – you’ve seen the pair around school before and you’ve always wondered what their relationship was about (you’ve even got a weird relationship where if you see tyr he gives you a knowing nod of acknowledgement). he says that tyr was the only one (outside of his family duh) to put in the effort to treat him like a real person with respect, everyone else just didn’t care about him or put on a fake act just to be polite to him.
he then thanks you for trying to get to know him even despite his reputation and personality 🥺
cheesy sports event - prologue
when you arrive back at school fenrir is pulled out of class in the afternoon to visit the guidance councillor’s office – he asks you to wait for him at the school gates. he comes back after 10 minutes at the school gates with tyr in tow. tyr makes an offhand remark about you two being a couple, fenrir punches tyr’s arm hard and is all flustered about it and you tease him just a little bit but make sure to hold back before you become the target of tyr as well
fenrir decides to walk home with you even though his house is the other way. he’s stumbling over his words and while you’re glad he’s decided to carry your things you’re really quite confused by his immediate offer to do so. he can’t even look at you half of the time and as you get very well acquainted with the road he tells you about his upcoming football game (side note: i have literally no idea about american football so don’t @ me). of course you accept his offer, and seeing him literally jump for joy in response is all the motivation you need to stick with it
cheesy sports event - game time
friday comes along and smite high is playing at home. you’re sitting with fenrir’s family - they’ve basically accepted you as one of them. they make it their personal goal to tell you about fenrir’s crush on you through poorly disguised hinting - but you know that you can’t just say that you have feelings for him, you have to wait for the right time and even with the universe pointing to all the right signs you’re still uneasy and unsure if he feels the same way
you spend the night cheering wildly for fenrir and the team, and fenrir waves at you when he gets the chance - seeing him in his element makes your cheeks go rosy although you could say you have the same effect on him - you figure it’s the result of you putting a little more effort into your appearance tonight and you hope your outfit compliments your features as your friends say it does
smite high is doing well, but as the game progresses it seems as though the away team gets better and better, catching up with smite high with ease. the game continues on, and it’s down to the final minutes – smite high is down by one point and i’m sure you can guess by now who’s going to score the point ˙ ͜ʟ˙
anyways, smite high wins because of a lucky score by fenrir and everyone cheers for him but he doesn’t care – he finds you in the crowd with his sisters and picks you up, spinning you in his arms. he’s got a wide smile on his face, and says “i could almost kiss you!”
both hels and loki are chanting “do it!” while sigyn just shakes her head in silence. his hands are wrapped around your waist and something about this moment just feels so natural, as if the closeness of your bodies is just how it should be. fenrir’s hot and breathless but so are you, and you want to take the next step so badly and the way his eyes twinkle makes you want to call him yours...
yet he puts you down with a sheepish grin as you’re brought back to reality with the sound of the crowd clapping around you. you suggest that you two go for a walk to cool down and escape the crowd, fenrir giving you a silent nod in agreement. you don’t realise how truly close he is to you and how his hands haven’t left your waist before dark hel complains and says that she wants to see the action happen. light hel and sigyn drag dark hel and loki away before they can spy on you two
before you leave tyr stops you both, giving fenrir a bear hug (which he’s surprised at first but sinks into eventually) and telling him how proud he is of smite high’s star player. he says they’ll talk later and tells him to wash up before exposing you to how bad he smells. fenrir leaves and tyr pulls you aside away from the crowd
he remarks about how you’ve really helped fenrir out by being a close friend. he notes that fenrir has never acted this attached to someone and tells you to not break his heart... and also to use protection otherwise you might lose an arm like he did. he then promptly shoves you off to overthink your feelings for fenrir
you’re both obviously into each other, no normal guy like fenrir would do the things he does around you without being somewhat interested in you - he literallly said he could kiss you! and you can’t help yourself from blushing thinking about his striking looks (it’s like he came out of a scandinavian calvin klein commercial and those eyes are so deep and piercing), his bad boy with a heart of gold attitude and how secretly goofy and aloof he is... where do you go from here?
luckily before your brain implodes from thinking too much he returns from the lockerooms, looking as spiffy as he could in his ripped jeans, band t-shirt and leather jacket. you note that his clothing seems more wrinkle free than usual, and that he’s put a little more care in taming his hair. naturally it makes you swoon at the knees
cheesy sports event - resolution
you’re both alone while walking around the school, slowly walking nowhere as the celebration has promptly moved on to some poor student’s house. fenrir’s given you his jacket - he says he’s too hot after the game and he knows you get cold anyways. that doesn’t stop him from walking so closely beside you that you can feel him brush aside you, and you just want to grab his hand and tell him how you feel but you’re afraid of breaking the silence between each other. fenrir speaks first, telling you that he won when he saw you in the crowd cheering for him – he didn’t want to let you down after you went out of your way to watch the game
you say that he would never let you down, and the conversation dies for a bit - you want to make a move but you’re afraid that it won’t work out.
you suggest that you two should go somewhere else to talk but before you can finish your sentence he pins you against a wall and starts confessing his feelings to you. he’s breathless, spitting out the words like a manic and half of the time he can’t even look at you but you just press a finger to his lips and start kissing him. it feels like a promise of things to come.
you’d never imaged the big bad wolf of smite high would be your boyfriend but you hope you can see all the sides of fenrir to come 💖
and then you’re dating and shit! yaaay
(also both hels are totally justififed, i’d have a crush on ullr too lol)
(and thanks for the nice comment! i’ve spent a lot of time on this au and it’s nice to have people appreciate it ˙ ͜ʟ˙)

Chapter 4 - Present All Your Pretty Feelings
-
Loki was very relieved to have the needle taken out. It left him with a nasty bruise on the back of his hand, but it meant, at least, that he was getting better. Banner had come round to check on him and had found he’d made significant progress. He left some oral antibiotics for Loki to continue to take for the next week, a box of ibuprofen, and a tired reminder to change his wound dressings regularly.
By the evening, Loki was feeling well enough to move about a bit, and after a long bath, he settled down and slept soundly until morning.
-
Loki was still feeling a bit groggy when he woke up. He went and had a long cool shower and afterwards pulled on a pair of black jeans and one of Tony’s old t-shirts. He kept a towel round his shoulders to keep his wet hair from dampening his top.
Tony smiled at him as he walked into the kitchen. “Good to see you with a bit of colour back in your cheeks: you’re looking better”
“I’m feeling better. Mostly” Loki replied sleepily, switching the kettle on.
“Here, sit down - let me do that” Tony said. “I don’t want you pushing yourself too hard”
“I’m not so weak that I can’t make a cup of tea” Loki said, but he smiled and sat down next to Peter at the breakfast bar.
Peter shifted a little. “I- I’m glad you’re feeling better now”
“So am I”
“What tea do you want?” Tony asked, opening Loki’s cupboard and taking down his mug.
Loki thought for a moment, rubbing his eyes. “...Lapsang”
“Huh? What’s that one?” Peter asked.
“Lapsang souchong” Loki yawned. “Chinese. It’s a smoky tea”
Tony left the tea to brew and came over. “Your hair’s still soaked”
He took the towel from round Loki’s shoulders and started towelling his hair dry.
“Do you really have to do that?” Loki grumbled, pretending to be annoyed.
“Yes. I don’t know why you don’t do it yourself. Have you got one of your combs in here?” he sighed, still rubbing gently but firmly. Loki was trying very hard to make it look like he wasn’t enjoying it. “You could do with a bit of a trim, really. It’s starting to get long again. You want it cut back into the neck again. You look cute when it’s shorter”
“There won’t be anything left to cut if you keep rubbing at it like that”
“Stop being a baby” he left the towel draped over him like a shawl and went to finish the tea. He brought it back over, setting it on the table for him and rummaging in one of the pigeon holes in search of a comb.
As always, Loki thoroughly enjoyed that first blissful sip of tea. He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the heat of it on his face.
“Can I try it?” Peter asked.
Loki nodded, setting the mug back down. As he did so, Tony grabbed him by the shoulder and started dragging the comb through his hair.
“Owww! You don’t have to attack me!” Loki protested.
“Don’t be such a drama queen” Tony smirked, giving him a tap with the comb. “It’s all knotted. It’s all that tossing and turning that’s done it”
“I rather think it’s your doing rather than mine”
“Hey, what did I just say? Stop being a baby”
Loki gave up and let him get on with it. Tony soon moved to stand in front of him.
“I like this bit, personally” he said, tugging the little lock of hair that had fallen down over Loki’s forehead. “Cute”
Loki raised an eyebrow at him, and Tony laughed and combed it back into place. He put the comb down and kissed him on the nose.
“That’s better” he said, going over to the coffee machine.
Loki looked at Peter and nodded at his mug. “What do you think?”
“Oh-” he hadn’t tried any yet. He picked up the mug and took a few sips. “Well, it’s like no tea I’ve ever tasted”
Tony joined them at the breakfast bar with his own mug. “It wouldn’t be my drink of choice”
“It’s not bad: just different” Peter said. He handed the mug back to Loki. “Suits you though. It smells like you”
“What?”
Peter nodded. “Yeah, that kinda dark, smoked smell”
Loki furrowed his brow. “You think I smell like tea?”
“Well, yeah. At least, you smell a bit like this tea... But not just that. Kinda also like mint and cigarettes and old books”
Loki looked at Tony, who nodded. “He’s not wrong. I like it: I think you smell nice. Like home”
“Don’t be so soppy” Loki said, but you could tell he was pleased.
-
Loki settled in his reading nook with another cup of tea (chai this time), while Tony and Peter went down to the workshop.
Initially they were quite busy, and because of this, the hours seemed to fly by. When there was a lull in proceedings and they were sat on opposite sides of the workbench working at their own pace, Peter decided to ask what had been on his mind throughout breakfast that morning.
“How did you know you loved him?”
Tony looked up. Peter still had his eyes on his work, but he’d paused, obviously waiting for an answer. Tony looked back to his own work.
“The same way I knew with people before him”
“I don’t think that’s really what I meant” Peter said, still not looking up. “I mean, how did you two get together?”
Tony hesitated. He was half-tempted to tell him to mind his own business. But, helped along by knowing Peter wasn’t the type to judge, he ended up giving in.
“I took a risk. It had taken me long enough to come to terms with in the first place, so I decided there was nothing else to lose. It was difficult when I finally admitted to myself that I had feelings for him” Tony admitted. “I’d never in my life experienced anything like it. I’d never once considered the possibility of falling for a man - and much less a man like Loki. Well, less a man, more a God. And someone as perfectly flawed as myself... I tried to ignore it initially. Once we’d gotten to know each other a bit, we hit it off. It wasn’t long before we started hanging out without Thor. Once he’d started to trust me and open up, he was so easy to talk to, and he made me laugh. For quite a while, we spent every Friday night sharing a bottle and basically just messing about. I used to look forward to it all week. So we did become good friends, and we got closer. That was all I thought it would ever be, and I was happy with that”
“So what changed it?”
Tony knew the answer without having to think. “Our first hug. I mean, we’d done the whole arm-round-shoulders-type hugs plenty, but one night when he was leaving he put his arms round me properly, and I hugged him back. And I felt something there. I remember catching myself grinning like an idiot after I’d shut the door after him, and then I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I still kept telling myself I just liked him as a friend, that I was overthinking things. But it was in my head all that week, and about an hour before he turned up the next Friday, my heart was thumping with nerves and I had this stupid fluttery stomach ache, and I was suddenly nervous when he did get here. That’s when I knew, but I didn’t accept it properly for about another three weeks”
Peter had so many questions, so many comments, but he couldn’t choose how to word them. There were so many possibilities. In the end, he simply asked:
“So how did you tell him?”
“I didn’t, not really. Not with words, anyway” he set his tools down, thinking back somewhat fondly on the memory. “I knew I was going to have to let him know. I’d finished fighting with myself over what I was feeling, so now that Id admitted and accepted it myself, I thought it best to let the other party know, even if it made a mess of things. I was a bit scared, to be honest. I was facing two levels of rejection: firstly that he might not like me back, and secondly that he might not like men at all. So it felt quite pressured. I didn’t plan how to do it. I went over hundreds of different ways to tell him. It didn’t go to plan.
So one night, he was over, and we were laughing as usual, with our drinks on the coffee table. And I knew I was moving closer to him, and he didn’t seem to really notice, but he kept giving me these little glances.. I can’t really remember what the conversation topic was; I just remember it was one of those ones where we were laughing so hard we were in tears. But anyway, we were calming down from one laughing fit, going a bit quiet, and I couldn’t stop looking at him. And he noticed, and he gave me this funny look. And I realised how close I was to him, but I didn’t care. I just moved closer and knelt up a bit, and he gave me another look, like he was about to ask what I was doing. And then I had my hand on his cheek, and he gave this other look, kind of scared and kind of confused at the same time, glancing at my hand and back at me. It was only a split second. I’d gotten too far to be able to back out, so I just kissed him”
Peter could picture the scene clearly in his head. He’d put his own equipment down to pay proper attention. “How did he react?”
“He froze, at first. It felt like time stood still as I looked at him. I let my hand drop and I felt like an idiot. I just wanted to turn and run. Loki just looked at me, and then he looked away and pulled back and I felt like I could just disappear on the spot. It was only a matter of moments, but it felt like hours... But then he looked back at me and then his lips were against mine again, and nothing had ever felt so right. It said more than words ever could. It was all said with that kiss; just that he felt the same. And I could never describe how relieved I was, and how good it felt”
“And the rest is history?” Peter said, suddenly feeling quite fuzzy inside himself.
Tony laughed. “Well, not quite! It was a bit longer before we made it official. When you open a door like that, you get another layer to a person, and you need to get to know each other in a different way. It was a case of talking about our feelings and all that soppy grown-up stuff until we were sure we could make a go of it. Music became very important during that time”
“Music?” Peter said doubtfully, thinking about the type of music Tony usually had playing in the car.
“Not the stuff on my usual playlist” Tony said, reading his mind. “We just put YouTube on and listened to whatever came up. We ended up listening to a lot of stuff I’d never have chosen. Lots of Take That and Abba, and a load of one-off tracks from various artists. Sounds a bit sad and embarrassing, but it’s a good way to make sense of things, giving it a soundtrack. Sometimes the most unlikely songs say the most perfect things”
“So do you have a song? Like, one that’s yours? Did you just sit and listen or did you talk about the songs too?”
“A bit of both” Tony said. He shook his head. “We don’t really have a song that’s ‘ours’. We’ve got songs with memories attached to them, but not a proper ‘this is our song’ song”
He sat back thinking about those early days. They were both suddenly so nervous of each other after that first kiss. The music gave them an excuse to get closer. “Just like in the club” Tony had said. He thought about how, especially at first, neither of them were sure who should make the first move, and there was a lot of clumsiness. But as time went on, the hand-holding turned into cuddling, the little pecks turned into proper kisses, and the carefully chosen words turned into complete open honestly.
Tony shook his head slightly and looked over at Peter.
“Right, that’s your little Tony Stark World of Love Pep Talk” he said, trying to revert back to serious-mentor mode. “Don’t be expecting another one any time soon”
