It took so long to design her in part because I needed to know designs for several other characters before I could design her, so mega thank you to my friend Pupwin over on DA for selling me designs for the last two characters I needed 😂

This is Farren, aka Venus, Ardent. She’s a main character in my Kingdom of Gulior series, which is basically an original world of mine that I created by smashing the pieces of old AUs, fanfics, and original projects together. The plot is primarily my old Apollo Justice Trilogy AU, smashed together with half the plot of some even older Sonic stuff, and Farren here was originally Athena Cykes. 

She is a 23 year old Tainted Parringale who recently finished her Doctorate of Psychology. She was rescued from terrible circumstances in the Territories of Shiodal 5 years ago and shortly thereafter arrested and convicted of murdering the woman who killed her 3-year-old son, Lazar. She is currently on parole, as evident by her monitor, and was adopted by…. well, I haven’t decided what his exact title is, but he’s pretty much the director of the government department that controls all Guliorian lawyers. Like FBI director meets lawyer kinda deal. He got her sentence greatly reduced and then adopted her, then after she finished serving time got her a job with him to prove herself (and finish school) and then found her her current job with his old childhood friend at a non-traditional law firm. Due to her legal history, she cannot become a lawyer, but she currently serves as a courtroom psychologist. She has two older siblings, who are both about 30 years old. Her co-worker Arion (an actual lawyer, who is still transitioning from being a public defender and really would rather be a civil lawyer) rehabilitates horses in his spare time and thinks she should go into therapy (equine-assisted, specifically) since her legal career is under so many restrictions. 

Her biological mother is deceased, having died before she could be brought to trial as an alleged bioterrorist. Her mother’s brother is also currently in prison, convicted of killing his sister.

It's absolutely wild how the official Elsword discord server banned elwiki then unbanned it 4 hours later.

It's also wild why people have to go to a third party in the first place to figure out how exactly their character's skills work. It's 2025. Why can't KoG make the skill tooltips actually useful?

Like how hard is it to write "damage% x (hit count)" instead of "damage% multi-hit"? Admittedly, I don't know how coding works, but I would assume hit counts have to be hard coded into the game itself. So couldn't they just copy paste the hit count into the tooltip? Even if they can't copy paste, it would still take only a couple seconds at most to write "x (hit count)".

Then there's a couple passives that just straight up don't say what they do in game. For example, CA's Bygone Days still does not list its effects. Sure, lore is fun and all, but it's literally such a garbage thing to do when tooltips are supposed to tell you how something functions. No one should need to go to a third party to find out their passive actually does something.

It's also insane how after that fiasco no one made an official suggestion for KoG to put accurate, transparent information about skills into the game itself. Yes, I saw some talk about it in the main chat, but no one actually made a post in the proper channel. Sure, KoG likely still would not implement it since it's not the KR community complaining, but it'd still be worth having a thread about.

dont get me wrong. im literally in love with the idea of Uno being a whole ass cult leader on his S version. its AMAZING and from what we saw so far (4 chapters event totally not leaked) its pretty well written

but heres the thing. Uno wasn't supposed to be on the T universe. he was brought there by someone else (which. i like to think its Heitaros and they have father and son bonding time but lets get real lmao).

from what kog has made, so far, Uno is still the same SR character, or at least an 1:1 replica of him. which makes him 3-4 years old, considering the timeskip between the pc and mobile lore. Uno still lost his whole family, his beloved sister, which loved him more than anything, and to "help" things be worst, it was confirmed that, he, in fact, hallucinates.

Uno doesn't know any better. he doesn't get love, he didn't had time to comprehend what feelings mean, he only had that voice on his brain, telling him to murder, telling him to destroy everything. he's just a child, suffering from a cult-like-indulged psychosis that lives on his mind and he CAN NOT get rid of. and now?

now he got throw in the middle of a bunch of adults, who are dead scared of another adult who CAN and WANTS to kill them. his presence there, the fact that he was forced to exist in the middle of so many corrupted highlanders just. fed his internal voice wish for power. power is the only feeling he knows. is the only thing going on on his mind. he needs power. he wants power. he WILL GET power. he'll be better than anyone. he can kill anyone and become an divine entity, if everything goes right

and here comes Ercnard Sieghart, in the same side of uno's coin.

at first, he's a good guy. he wants to protect and save everyone he loves, and even everyone he doesn't know, because, you know! serotonin from being a good guy is on his brain!

then, he meets Graham, who turns him into an highlander. and then, everything changes. now, everyone who is different from him fucking SUCKS and NEEDS TO DIE. everything that exists on Sieghart mind is...having power over others. over weaker souls. destroying what is unnatural, and becoming an praised entity.

but heres the catch that differ Sieghart from Uno!

Sieghart is over 600 years old. he mentions, with all words, that he had 600 years to think about everything. he had 600 years to consider. he had 600 years to think, analyse, interact, talk, imagine, living his best life, and he still chooses to be a killing machine. he still chooses to destroy someone's life just because he doesn't agree with it. he don't try to talk with the corrupted highlanders, he don't try to understand their feelings, their motivations. all he does is, based on a singular interaction, act like every single highlander alive is a nasty human being. except for him. he's the human race saver. he'll make the world a better place

meanwhile, for Uno...

at best, he had 4 years. 4 years in pure isolation, completely alone at god knows where, only listening to that annoying monster that lives on his body. he never had a choice. he never chose to be alive. he never chose to murder the only precious thing that he ever had on his life. he never chose to be him. but he's afraid of killing himself, of destroying this nasty voice on his brain. because that's all he have. that's the only thing that, at the same time, makes him insane...and sane

to, suddenly, be considered an savior, an divine entity, a thing from another universe, made to save some poor souls...can you imagine what this would do on a child brain? can you imagine what he is feeling?

the difference between them is that. Sieghart is aware of his actions, and he doesn't plan to stop. he doesn't want to. he is a killing machine and is happy with that.

Uno is aware of his actions, but he wanted to stop, at the very start of things, he didn't want to murder his family, the only thing he ever had on his life. but he literally has no control over his body, nor his mind. he's almost an empty shell that's controlled by a monster that shares a body with him. he just wanted to live forever by Reina's side and be a normal kid, a normal teen, then grow to be an adult.

but now, he was forced into being a leader. the leader of the miserables. the only thing, the only souless killing machine that can save the highlanders from the terrible killing machine called Sieghart, that can and still feels, but chose to ignore all of it.

Uno is a disabled child that lost his entire childhood because of it. he couldn't control it, and he didn't had anyone in his surroundings that could understand him.

Sieghart is a grown +600 years old man that knows very well what he is doing, and doesn't plan to stop because of his ego.

also an final edit that was on my mind while writing and i somehow managed to forget to add this to the text itself:

im literally so proud of how Uno's acting after 4 years. he wanted to kill the corrupted highlanders aswell, but he managed to shush down the feelings for a second and actually listen to their pleas, which, again, proves that he's not a killing machine "just because i was born this way", he wants to help people which makes him better than sieg but you didnt heard this from me

Long rambly backstory below the cut:

I started playing when I was 12 in like 2017 (I know you're supposed to be 13 but I lied about my age, as all 12 year olds with unrestricted internet access do). Obviously, this was ten years after the game was made and it was already kind of past its prime, and I think this is around the point at which older players started to leave. Still, since this is when I started, this is the time period associated with nostalgia for me. I mained Rena and spent a lot of time on Elsword Amino and Deviantart, sharing bad fanart. I was practically obsessed with the game, to the point of reading ElWiki constantly for fun, until I was maybe around 15 and became too busy with life circumstances.

I returned a bit recently and found it mostly abandoned, at least in NA, even in areas that used to hold tons of players. Trying to find and reread ElType issues has also been a challenge, as most of the links on ElWiki lead to broken Imgur pages.

Though "pay to win" and greedy corporate practices were already there when I started, I've found all sorts of posts by older Elsword players that show that it's gotten even worse, likely contributing to the game's decline.

Even though the game is far from what I knew it as and even farther from what older players knew it as, I still feel nostalgia for the characters and story, so I'm trying to gather as much as I can in one place before the game inevitably shuts down. I hope it gets taken from KOG by a studio that will care for the game and listen to the players, but I doubt that's going to happen. I'm busy with university and other circumstances, but sometime soon I want to get ahold of as much of ElType as I can and create a digital archive of it since so many of the links on ElWiki don't work anymore.

KCD Replay #3 Thoughts

I love this story. It might be one of my favorites on the app. I really enjoy the lore, the characters, the politics, the horror, all of it is really good (however, my apologies to Indians that actually do practice the religion. I understand that it is culturally insensitive and inaccurate.) One thing I haven't seen many people talk about is the colonialism underlying a lot of the story. One thing I like about this story is that it's very morally dubious--for instance, the Rage of Goddess path rejects cruelty while looking down on Indian culture, while the Kindness of Goddess path embraces Indian culture and rejects British colonialism, however does embrace cruelty and the caste system. Amrit/the Dozen is indeed very morally dubious, but I always kept in mind that they formed after British rule (as far as I remember). British people went into their land, pillaged it, forced their own rules onto another culture and did so via violence, so of course the people are going to find ways to fight back, also using violence. I found it interesting at the end on the KOG path when Lima and Killian feel betrayed by Amala for killing Gabriel (who literally was going to kill her), saying that they 'don't recognize her' and that 'they respected her' and 'killing people is wrong'. HOWEVER, one thing I wanted to point out is that Killian literally made a living off of killing people? Killian just got done killing a bunch of people. How can he get mad at Indian people for using violence to defend their homeland when Brits used violence to colonize them? It's different when the rabbit got the gun, huh? And little comments like 'a country that just got emancipated doesn't have the right to determine for themselves' or something like that, which was INSANE to read. Like, even when I didn't approve of the ritual killings, I always maintained that the British should find the diplomat and then mind their damn business. And that's literally all that Amrit/the Dozen wanted them to do--to go back to Britain and mind their damn business. The British diplomat literally got killed because he stuck his nose into somewhere he doesn't belong! What exactly did they expect from a country that recently got emancipated? I'd want them to get the fuck outta here too!

Im as fond with Bandle City as i am with Bilgewater. I just hate the way Riot wrote yordle lore and logic that i just flipped the table and gave up rambling about it.

My first ever league interaction was knowing about Teemo and he's my baby and i dont care what ugly personality people say about him... he's my cute little fella. My second ever league interaction was reading about his lore and seeing that there was kind of a fling between him and Tristana. I started shipping them i made fanart i made fanfic when i was a 12 y/o. And i still love them with all my heart! Rumble being there just spices things up and as a 12 y/o fanfic writer i made it very dramatic to the point of involuntary comedy.

I adore Lulu and Pix, she's the champion i have more points with. She's iconic! I'd be dissapointed if they ever changed her visual appereance. I know most people think her model looks outdated and icky... BUT she gives this manic pixie dream girl look and i adore her, i love her chubby face with a lot of eye separation and those BIG ol eyes... I love Pix looking like a stick figure with butterfly/fairy wings. I will admit she looked lovely in the LOR expansion cinematic. I love her in all shape and form.

I also like Veigar... Like, can relate to the thing of being tortured psycologically and physically by a bigger dude and then once you're out of it be like 'well, today i feel like setting the world on fire <3'. Overall i adore most of yordle champions, i just dont like how Riot updated their lore a couple of years ago it made me loose interest in what they had to say inside game.

Gwen! I dont know if that counts as a Ruined King champion... her little doll appears on a random corner but i like her! I was one of those poeple begging Riot to make her more doll-likely. But being completely honest, i love her human switching to tiny funny doll power. She's cheerful she's adorable she's iconic and she is the moment.

KLED i know i said i love most of the yordles but KLED he's my baby i love Kled and Skaarl they are so iconic. In game is a delight to play it made me keep my emotions on line when i was on a very rough moment. The thrill of mounting on Skaarl at 10HP and saving your ass or getting a kill.... Its great. I also love his (OLD) lore (they fucked up again making an update a couple years ago) and his short story is SO funny and emotive. I came to realize that i really like him because he reminds me of my grandpa... and my parents always say i look a lot like him cause im always grumpy and mad at something...

OK there's a lot of champions i actually like a lot im going to resume it in one line rants. Janna, sadly sexualized and outdated but she's like a Soraka but more sassy, loved her LOR look makes her look exactly like that. Karma, she's iconic, she's very pretty, not much people pay attention to her and i never actually sat down to read about her BUT im interested. Twitch, he's a rat. Jhin, he's iconic. Lillia, teheehee silly fawn girl peeposhy. Ivern, he's like my mom when she's on a good mood. MILIO he's a BABY and HE IS MY BABY i love him very much. Blitzcrank. He's silly. Kog Maw cause he's also silly. Nautilus, my husbando best friend. Renata, iconic and sapphic.

El House Improvement Ideas

Increase house size; add backgrounds, layers and sub-regions.

If whales want mansions, give them castles. Backgrounds can be anything other than just a square box. Layers and sub-regions can be in forms of stairs, elevators, jump pads, waterslides, wind currents, warp portals, etc.

NPC placement and interaction

"NPC" here refers to both playable and non-playable characters. Playable characters can be the default class already customized based on the class's lore, or from other characters in your own accounts, for which you can set idle quotes, interaction options and conversations (insert typical content filtering and censorship here). For other characters from your account, you cannot delete that character until you remove them from the House. For non-playable characters, such as town NPCs and some monsters, unlocking criteria could be used. For example, in order to place Denif in your El House, you must defeat him in his MR dungeon Hell Mode XX times, or collect a random drop to unlock him from a catalogue (or you can improvise the monster card system here). Examples of interaction are: Greetings, Hobbies, Like, Dislike, Teasing, Flirt, etc.

Preset function

A preset will list furniture required. Can be separated into official and customary presets. Official presets are the ones that are fixed and set up by KOG themselves. Customary presets are the ones create by the community. You can save a preset code and share it with others. Others who want to copy the preset must have the furniture required for the set.

I think a lot of people look over a lot of the Elsword NPCs other than the el masters/newest ones. Some really do have some great designs but just no lore to them and that makes me sad

1. all paths are canon because they all exist in their own universes, all elswords restore the el no matter what path he has chosen 

all three (well soon to be four) elswords restore El and we know that because that’s literally the pre-requisite (lore wise I guess) for them to become 3rd jobs in the first place which makes me think the end-game elsword is gonna be some sort of merge-all of all the different paths of all the characters meeting each other in some sort of weird elsword allstars fashion my mind cannot handle this idk if kog has it in them to do something like that honestly

and the fact that none of the path descriptions explain any of the other character paths, there’s not just 3 (soon to be 4) possible timeline/universe, but literally all of the possible combinations of different character paths, as in

YOU KNOW HOW THE CURRENT “CANON” PATH COMBINATION DOESN’T REALLY FOLLOW ANY GENERAL RULE i mean okay we just blindly accept “well yeah the canon job for so and so character fits the original personality of the said character so it makes total sense for that to be the canon job” but the fact that all the “canon” jobs come from different paths (the current canon jobs are a mix of 1st and 2nd paths) might mean that it literally does not matter which path each character individually chooses to take except maybe not for 3rd path cuz 3rd path is just depression town minus aisha 

am i going somewhere with this yes yes i am and i’ll talk more about it later

2. ain actually met henir face to face

ain got sucked into the rift when the first el exploded in his face when he first landed in elrios and there he met henir

meaning (a piece of?) henir was inside the el and was able to break free when it exploded and dantelion was obsessed with blowing up the el cuz of some shit he’s seen in the dark el back in demon realm like why would followers of henir, the source of unlimited power, destroy the el for what purpose would they do that we went over this already didn’t we but yeah there you go which brings me to my next point

3. there’s a strong connection between the el and henir

el and henir share a common color scheme -- like literally el’s turquoise looks similar to henir’s turquoise and there should be a reason why. it also sorta explains how henir was able to influence ain so easily. according to the artbook, a celestial like ain shows natural disdain and abhorrence to demons, but is quite literally dumbfounded and can’t function properly due to shock when comes in contact with henir influence... like, why though. why is that detail so important enough for them to put it in there, literally side by side also the el’s energy was able to break into henir’s time and space easily there’s something there i’m telling you and i sure as hell hope it’s much more than “well henir shaped everything, including elrios, so it probably was used to create the el as well”

which is a good point, actually, considering how... the El is the source of life, and it was literally just given to people of Elrios, no strings attached, when people just started settling in the land, and it’s weird to think the source of life (okay not a literal source of life but life cannot live without the influence of el, it’s like sunlight for plants) not having some sort of strong connection to henir which was the energy/material used to shape the damn universe

My Thoughts on Elsword

After years of mostly staying silent and occasionally posting fanfiction on this site, I want to talk about my experience with Elsword as a player and content creator. I normally don’t post personal things on my tumblr, but today will be different. I will go more in-depth into why I choose to speak out today. I have added a read more tab as this will be a long post.

You may have seen my name before as I've written Elsword fanfiction and post them on multiple sites. I’ve been playing Elsword since late 2014 and have been writing fanfiction for the game since early 2015. I joined the game around the time Little Specter was released. Elsword was the first MMO I have committed to and attempted to learn the meta in post-game.

When I looked up Elsword for the first time, I was blown away by the different characters. I was between playing Rena because I mained an archer in the last MMO I had played and Elesis because I liked her design. However, it was Add that convinced me to try the game.

Add was the newest character in late 2014. A white-haired anime boy with a mysterious past gained a lot of interest from players. His colorful dialogue gave content creators a lot of room to expand his character through fanworks. Caught up by the Add frenzy, I joined and started writing fanfiction about Add. It reached the point where there were complaints in the fandom about the oversaturation of Add content in comparison to other characters from the cast. I have made friends with other content creators and still talk to them to this day.

However, I stopped playing in mid 2019 when a whistleblower revealed that a KOG employee had shared information regarding a year’s worth of future updates to players on the Korean server. In addition, there appeared to be favoritism for certain classes played by high-paying players. This wasn’t a surprise to many long-time players familiar with KOG’s poor ability in balancing characters, but the scandal provided proof of their poor management.

Angered by the confirmation that my main was left in poor hands, I quit Elsword and joined another MMO. I have invested years and money into a game I liked because of the art/writing community, only to learn that KOG wasn’t prioritizing its players. Although I have left Elsword, I still keep tabs on their updates at times.

So why am I waiting to post this now in 2021? On June 22, KOG held an eight-hour meeting with player representatives to answer questions about Elsword’s future. It was revealed that the money made from Elsword was used to fund other KOG games, many of which have failed to make money in return. As a result, Elsword was getting little money in return. Despite the quality of life updates, the game still has a problem of teaching players how to play their characters, and meeting the endgame requirements can become a part-time job unless you want to cash irl money. Instead of addressing problems in class balancing, KOG announced fourth paths for all current characters.

After following KOG for years and watching these meetings and conferences, it is not a surprise to me that their answer to game imbalance is to provide new characters or classes. Rather than address the problems, they attempt to show new content to temporarily entertain the players. There were announcements in providing side content for other paths as Elsword currently focuses on the “canon classes”. While it is clear that KOG is at least attempting to address the story aspect of the game, Elsword remains to be streamlined. KOG acknowledged that they were low on funds, yet their solution was to create new classes instead of trying to repair their existing ones? In addition, KOG updated their Korean steam account with an announcement that Grand Chase Classic was being released this summer. KOG shortly after created a Facebook page for the game and added Grand Chase Classic on their English Steam page as of today. Grand Chase was Elsword’s predecessor. A two-dimensional side scrolling MMO, some of its characters influenced the Elsword cast with Elesis being directly pulled out to be a playable character.

It hurts me a lot to see KOG pouring their money into reviving a dead game that was shut down since 2015. It feels like KOG has given up on Elsword and only doing the bare minimum to keep it alive. KOG insists that Elsword wasn’t carrying them in the eight-hour conference, but seeing that the company has been using Elsword’s funds to develop their other games is telling me otherwise.

I don’t regret playing Elsword because of the people I’ve met, but I’m disappointed to see that KOG has not learned its lesson from Grand Chase. Elsword is going through the same late stage as Grand Chase did. New characters continue to be added into Elsword until it becomes too much and slowly falling into obscurity. I’ll still be here to look at the new fourth paths and read up on their lore, but I won’t be returning to the game because it won’t be long before KOG attempts to make another game to succeed Elsword.

Uno T - lore, design and whatever other things i find relevant to say!

this will probably be very long so stay with me please!

first off, i wanna say i've been working on this somewhat-au since october, aka, before uno on mobile was ever a thought! :D it was just a silly thing for fun but im quite attached to this baby now, and im very proud of him

second off, i AM planning on animating his sprite and his ults, buuuut....when i was about to start i got hit by the neurodivergent beam and now working on something thats not related to my current hyperfixation lowkey makes me physically ill LMAO. so maybe next month? april perhaps? buuut, as a little teasing, just telling ya: i made 6 expressions for the 6* and SI, and 4 diff ones for the skin :3

now for lore!

Uno was born along with all the other highlanders, but for some reason...he wasn't welcome there, so he was dropped off at a small, isolated village. Obviously, he was quickly adopted by the villagers, and was took under care by Sachiko and Tadano, who had an (at the time) 5 yo kid named Reina

Uno grew up as any normal kid, being loved by the entire village, especially his older sister. He was a pretty energetic kid who liked scaring people during the night, the type of kid who chases animals around on all fours and barks to mimic them, Reina was a more reserved and shy kid, but she always tried her best to be by her brother side

Uno was always an artist type of kid, always scribbling the walls, filling entire notebooks with doodles in a week and whatnot, so no one thought it was weird when he started locking himself in his bedroom and spending the entire day painting, but no one suspected he was being tormented by a...creature? entity? monster? whatever the name is, it was on his brain and it keep insisting on him using blood as paint, his own blood. Uno kept opening his wrists, arms, legs in exchange of it, but no one knew since he, as a highlander, had a almost instantly recovery of wounds

One day, said voice was so loud, so desesperate, he went ballistic. When he barely regained conscience, the entire village was dead, blood splashed everywhere. But he couldn't think of it, he couldn't notice that people were gone, his only worry was their blood. He needed it, he needed paint immediately, and thats what he did. He gathered their blood and kept painting, the same picture, always the same image.

(as a little break in the yapping, i rlly like how this came out :D tried using a different program for the paint effects, while i wanted doing it traditionally i dont think i have enough paint for it and im not pacient for it to dry AT ALL, so... KSJGASDGKJSD)

Uno, still unaware of what he did or what was happening, he started living a nomadic life, staying in whenever place accepted him, paying them with the blood-made arts, that were always, always the same image...but for some reason, no one saw what he saw. No one truly saw his art, they saw...whatever pleased them. The paintings, for some reason, adapted to whatever the viewer liked the most, making him a very known artist, recieving the name of "Black Hole Artist" (haha), but he was always infamous since whenever he went away from a place, there was definitively dead bodies left behind.

the rest? well you gotta read it in the game...whenever kog pays me for it ig! LMAO

its an colored sketch because im never drawing on gcdc artstyle ever again in my entire life unless im getting paid for it. too painful. nuh uh. anyway.

Reina is the only survivor of the village massacre, she doesn't have strong memories of that day, but she's desesperately looking for her brother AND MY CHROME JUST CRASHED ON MY FACE WHILE WRITING THIS I FUCKING HATE THIS BROWSER and wont give up until she finds him. She somehow ended up at the underworld aaaaaand the rest you can wait since im drawing her lore pieces soon :D

about Uno himself:

-he had myopia since he was a kid, around 8-10 years old, but he always thought it was...normal to slowly see things blurred as you grow. his new (and first) glasses are made by Zero T

-he is currently 21 years old, but he still acts like a child and is very immature and clueless on most things, Reina is 26

-besides being a highlander [aka an immortal who can regenerate his body], for some reason his ears or chest never grew back again

-he has tongue-tie, so he shpeaks like dhish. Sieghart is pretty pissed off at being called Shieg

-his whole character is based on vocaloid songs.....can you guess which ones?

AND as a last note im happy i FINALLY posted this because. i drew him. so much. oml. i wanna show him to the world UYHDSUSGSUS

his skin ult will be posted animated only when i finish it, and i'll be redrawing the base ult for the animation so...wait for it if you wanna...!!!

ik no one truly gaf but im always open for asks and art ideas/requests for my darling sibilings :D still gotta post some lore stuff about both of them but i suppose you can tell their relationships w other charas by the few snippets i dropped here :3c
