One of my favorite panels in Dungeon Meshi is the one where everyone is gathered around and hugging Senshi after the griffin soup, but my other favorite is right before that, when Senshi starts to cry and you can see everyone’s hands reaching for him.

Just immediately going to him. Senshi is the stable, supportive figure through so much of the story, but the second he starts crying everyone immediately jumps in to comfort him. It’s just so nice to see him being given so much care and love from his little found family!

Alfred: This might come to a suprise to you Master Bruce, but I am a single adult man. I occasionally have partners, and I don't need to explain any of that to you.

Bruce: While you're under my roof, you respect my rules. I placed a no boyfriends or girlfriend in bedrooms after nine pm!

Alfred: That rule was for the children. I, and Danny, are not children-

Bruce: Danny!? As in Danny Fenton!?

Alfred: Yes.

Bruce: You're sleeping with the same Danny Fenton that took over Vladco. And has been my public rival in the corporation world for years?!

Alfred: Master Bruce, Danny is twice your age. He doesn't see you as a rival.

Bruce: TRAITOR!

lucanis is a 'I could sit in our quiet kitchen on a grey tuesday afternoon drinking coffee and talking with you about nothing much in particular forever and be the happiest man who ever lived' romantic, not a 'classic tropes and grand gestures' romantic. this is a distinction and conceptual gap I personally feel is crucial to understanding what's going on with him when romanced. for all his almost painful sincerity and clear depth of feeling he's not a very effusive guy by nature, but in the history of time no one has ever, with their whole soul, chest and being, been so genuinely and openly happy to just do laundry and taxes with you.
