I don't normally talk about Frozen here, but calling Elsa a "cool girlboss" in the first movie is so diametrically opposed to what was actually shown in the movie lol. If anything, Elsa is perhaps one of the most pathetic (and I mean this in the best, non-demeaning way possible) characters Disney has ever depicted up until the end. There is a reason she and Beast are often compared, the latter of which spent a great portion of the film also being pathetic until the last act. Nothing about Elsa was meant to be "cool". No pun intended.

Arendelle Castle Rooms: The final part | Analysis
See Part 8 here.
Eee! It's the final part. Finally all the rooms from the franchise so far all collected together to make sense of where everything is in the Castle. They're arranged by direction.
Before you dive in, if you already haven't checked out the individual breakdowns for each of these rooms. Here's the last breakdown.
Front (East):
Tumblr media
Top left: Chapel (ref: Coronation in 'Frozen')
Below that: Gallery (ref: "For the first time in forever' in 'Frozen')
Below that: Library (ref: "For the first time in forever" in 'Frozen')
Below that: Spiral stairs tower (ref: "Love is an open door" in 'Frozen')
Below that: Corridor between the spiral stairs (ref: "Making today a perfect day" in 'Frozen Fever')
Bottom left: The (Second) Great Hall (ref: "Ring in the season" in 'Olaf's Frozen Adventure')
Below that: Spiral stairs (ref: "Making today a perfect day" in 'Frozen Fever')
Top right: Anna's bedroom (ref: concept art)
Below that: Iduna and Agnarr's bedroom/ balcony (ref: "Some things never change" in 'Frozen 2')
Bottom right: Castle dungeon (ref: Elsa's capture in 'Frozen')
Bottom centre: Courtyard/ Main castle entry (ref: 'Frozen Fever')

Inside front (East):

Top right: Right side castle entry (ref: Elsa leaving Arendelle in 'Frozen')
Bottom: Barn (ref: Kristoff making stew in 'Olaf's Frozen Adventure')
Above that: Inside entrance to the garden (ref: "Making today a perfect day" in 'Frozen Fever')
Right side (North):

Top: Meeting room (ref: After the flashback in 'Frozen 2')
Bottom: Right side castle entry (ref: Elsa leaving Arendelle in 'Frozen')
Left side (South):

Back (West):

Top left: 3 back main triangular windows (After "Love is an open door" in 'Frozen')
Top right: unknown room's balcony (ref: "Making today a perfect day" in 'Frozen Fever')
Bottom: Elsa's bedroom (ref: Concept art)
And there it is! Where I think these rooms are in the castle. If I missed any out or made an error somewhere please let me know 🥺
I can't wait to update this when Frozen 3 comes out. Now I see some people getting impatient but it was only just announced and with the writers strike going on it might be delayed a little. But I hope the new director solves the issue the previous films had of Elsa leaving Anna. The sisters deserve to be together 🥹 But that's for another post! I'm just so excited for F3 because either way it's Frozen and I love it so much!
So much to talk about - I can't wait to tell you all in other posts!
Thank you for all the love you guys have given me with the likes, reposts and comments 🥹💕🫶🏼
Much appreciated! Stay cool! 😎❄️

Happy 10th Anniversary to one of my All time Favorite Disney Films, Frozen. It' such a great film and it blessed the world with one of my favorite characters (and BEST Disney Princess), Princess Anna. It's a very special film for me and it's crazy that it's already a decade old.
Granted I wouldn't actually see Frozen until summer 2014 but regardless, Anna has been one of my favorite characters for just about as long as she's existed. I think of all of the Frozen Franchise the First film is still the best. In terms of Story, Visuals/Aesthetics, character designs, and some ICONIC songs (though I do prefer some songs in F2 over 1)
Anna is so special to me, and I am forever grateful that (for better or worse) Frozen became such a Smash it that it became a Mega Franchise that Disney continues to make content for and promote and Puts it's characters in everything. So Here's to 10 years and to another 10 more.

10 YEARS OF FROZEN !!!
Tumblr media
This is nuts. So much has changed, yet I can still remember clearly how this animated movie captured my attention immediatly. At the time I wasn't much interested in animated movies, so I didn't watch it in theaters. But when I "discovered" it in 2014, it became an obsession. The characters, the story, the themes, even the music. These two sisters, despite their differeces, still longing for each other, yet facing trauma, their separation and the isolation from the rest of the world ... and even the other characters, Olaf, Kristoff & Sven, Hans, they all are so interesting to follow.
Everything captured my interest, as if I was watching not just something aimed for families, but FOR EVERYBODY in a deeper sense: a full fleshed-out movie that talked universaly to the whole audience, indifferently of age or gender.
And here talking is a guy who always loved blockbusters, is obsessed with Transformers, superhero movies etc so this speaks volumes of how special Frozen is, and its world-wide success is a proof of that. And all the time watching the movie, the ending always felt just like the beginning of something, which is why at the time, I was such a big supporter for a Frozen 2.
It's probably the first movie (animated or live-action is indifferent) that I actually analyzed deeper than just "Wow, how cool is that!". In a way, Frozen is what opened the doors for me to the world of cinema, wanting to learn more about the background work to develop a movie, the ideas, the vision and the ultimate goal of what they were or are narrating.
I own this movie so much and I can't wait for what the future will hold for us, knowing we are going to get a two-parter story as what is probably the "final chapter".
HAPPY 10 YEARS FROZEN !!!

Arendelle, dinnertime
Anna: have you heard that there is a huge rise in pirates' activity? Especially south.
Olaf: Wow, pirates!
Anna: That's not exactly a good thing, Olaf...
Olaf: What do those pirates eat? <picking up his carrot soup>
Anna: Probably not much.. fish? Crackers?
Elsa: Basically all of things that don't spoil easily, but I heard there is a massive bugs infestation problem on those ships, so probably crackers with bugs.
Kristoff: Bleurgh!
Few months after, Hans's ship
Anna: <eating a warm roll with honey and candied ginger, sprinkled with saffron and other horrendously expensive spices> seriously, where did you get all those stuff?
Elsa: <while eating her dinner, containing fish soup with dried apricots, raisins and dried tomatoes> Probably stole all of it, besides the fish.
Hans: This is a pirate's way. But just wait until you see...
The Republic of Pirates, aka what happen when you put thousands of people of different cultures and origins in one place, who also share the same fondness of stealing stuff
Before one of the food stands
Hans: That is my favourite, I highly recommend it.
Anna: ...but what is it, exactly?
Hans: It's a sandwich.
Anna: Oh, I love sandwiches!
Hans: Me too, didn't lie on this one. But also, those are hot, huge, round and with no crust at all. Also, take it with those... Great addition.
<few minutes later>
Anna: <first time trying a 1 pound, painfully piratey burger with freshly made fries> o m g
(For educational purposes: What did pirates really eat? )

I disagree with the Olaf part, but the rest of it is SO on-point.
It’s fine to sing “There’ll be actual real-life people” about a ball happening, because obviously the servants already present aren’t actual real-life people
What Frozen taught us:
Wiping a kid’s memory of a life-altering accident is totally a right thing to do! Why would you want a child to learn from their experience anyway?
Locking away your other traumatized child and hoping she gets better by herself is totally not parental abuse.
An orphan kid can hang around people with dangerous job unsupervised.
When said kid wanders off and goes missing, no-one has to look for them.
If you have no friends and no interests beyond harassing your sister, you’re gonna grow up fine, just a little bit awkward and adorably quirky.
A kingdom with underage successors to the throne governs itself, unless the plot says otherwise.
Regency is not a thing.
The last heir left in line to the throne is totally free to leave the kingdom and personally look for their runaway older sibling instead of staying home and securing the royal line.
Said last successor to the crown can somehow leave the kingdom in hands of a random foreigner guy.
Regency is still not a thing.
Running away from your royal responsibilities makes you cool and inspiring, as long as you sing a song about it.
Ice-control powers can create life from scratch.
If your son brings a woman home for the first time, you force her on him as a potential wife.
Forcing them on each other is prior even to saving said woman from dying right in front of you.
It doesn’t matter what either or them thinks about it and if she has a different partner already.
You can be a day-old magical snowman who doesn’t know what heat is, but you have better understanding of love than grown-up humans.
When a random foreigner guy says the last successor to the throne has died and left the kingdom to him, it is not necessary to check the corpse and require any evidence from him.
Regency is STILL not a thing.
Vaguely-defined “love” instantly cures life-long depression and anxiety.
Feel free to add o the list!

things I loved about Once upon a studio:
• Micky saying "thank you" to Walt Disney🥺
• Mirabel with a cat from Aristocats.
• Minnie covering her eyes in the men's bathroom💀
• Elsa freezing Hans.
• Prince Charming losing his shoe (ironic) Max then taking it, and Cinderella yelling "go Max, go!" after them😭
• Olaf getting called "frosty". then getting interrupted by the Genie.
• Snow White holding hands with Mulan and then the newest princess (I don't know her name, sorry. but I'll 100% watch the movie in theaters) Edit: I just found out her name is Asha!
• Tiana and Pinocchio talking🥺
• then Judy and Nick joining in.
• FANTASIA???
• Black Cauldron. (that movie traumatized me)
• All the characters in the elevator having a bad temper💀 (And I never thought I'd ever see Gothel in the same room as Donald Duck lol)
• the Peter Pan flying scene🥺
• Moana asking Merlin for help with Flounder.
• Kristoff warning the 101 Dalmatians about getting nightmares.
• Quasimodo's singing🥺
• Pooh getting dragged out of the picture frame by his friends💀
• Everyone singing "When you wish upon a star" at the end.
• MY WHOLE CHILDHOOD IN ONE SHORT FILM!!!
Anyways, Once upon a studio is such a beautiful work of art. Thank you Walt Disney for all the 100 years!
I loved seeing my favorite Disney characters interacting with each other. I loved geeking out whenever I recognized anything. I loved seeing all the precious memories from my childhood AND adulthood at once.
Disney will always and forever be close to my heart❤️
edit: 500 notes! wtf thank you????

I know it’s no longer ‘cool’ to talk about/critique Frozen, but my friend Cait and I were talking about twist villains and how Hans was a bad example, and how he didn’t even need to be a twist villain for it to still work and yeah no I’m still thinking on it.
Because no, really… why did we need Hans to be a twist villain? Why did he have to actually be playing a long con and be all ‘muahaha, actually I don’t love you.’ We already had the threat of the eternal winter, the fracturing relationship between Elsa and Anna, and if you needed another outside force to be the villain, Duke Weselton was right there.
You wouldn’t even need to change much, really.
Instead, have it so Hans and Anna do kiss… and nothing happens. They’re both shocked and upset - not by the implications, those don’t hit them yet, but because they had an idea on how to save her, and it failed. Meanwhile, Duke Weselton is shit-stirring and going after Elsa.
You bring Olaf in at some point, and while he and Hans are trying to keep Anna warm, it comes out that maybe it didn’t work because Anna doesn’t love Hans. And, similarly, Hans doesn’t really love Anna - their ‘true love’ was based on infatuation after knowing each other for less than one night, while they mostly just goofed off and had fun, and neither of them actually know much of anything about the other.
(It wouldn’t just be Anna not knowing anything about Hans, you make it so Hans doesn’t know much about Anna either. Neither of them know each other’s favorite foods or colors or best friends or bad habits.)
Scene keeps going til it comes out that the one Anna really loves now is Kristoff.
And yeah this still raises a problem in that Anna and Kristoff didn’t know each other that long either, but it’s a Disney movie, people get married after three days, whatever.
So now the plan is for both Olaf and Hans to get Anna to Kristoff and protect Elsa from Duke Weselton. Make Weselton the guy about to cut Elsa’s head off.
The movie then proceeds like canon, up to the point where Hans is punched out. Now instead Weselton is publicly exposed for his shit-stirring, it’s declared they will no longer be in a trade relationship with his duchy, and Elsa instead turns to Hans and he’s made Ambassador of Southern Isles. Hans and Anna part on good times, agreeing to be friends, Hans and Kristoff are also friendly with one another, and the takeaway is “Sometimes relationships don’t work out and that’s okay, it’s neither person’s fault.”
And instead of “Don’t marry a man you just met because what if he’s evil?” it’s actually “One great date does not guarantee a great relationship, relationships/love is based on mutual experiences and trust, not a sudden burst of attraction and infatuation.” Which honestly is a much better message for the kids.
…why did Hans need to be the villain?

seen too many wrong takes so i’m gonna do the correct one! Marauders Frozen! AU
Elsa = Remus
Elsa and Remus are the same cause they both share feelings of being different and are outcasts. They both struggle with control over themselves and were taught by their parents to stay hidden as society deems what they are as wrong.
Anna = Lily
I know, you’re probably thinking ‘remus and lily aren’t siblings??’ but there’s this thing called taking creative liberties and this is the perfect time to do that. Lily and Anna are both your typical younger siblings. They’re stubborn, rambunctious, optimistic and absolutely overflowing with love. You can see these parts of Lily in the memories and in the way Slughorn and others describe her.
Kristoff = James
I am always a Jily lover and I just love a good Jily variant, which THEY ARE. I know they have very opposing upbringings in some ways, but for the sake of the Jily variants case, I’m counting it.
For Sirius, you could have him be a character in the second film. Maybe he has magic like Remus, and can turn into a dog. Maybe he’s a runaway prince, maybe from your Hans character’s kingdom….
Hans = I don’t care, although Regulus COULD be an interesting take. That doesnt necessarily mean you have to make him the villain, you could have him being pushed towards Lily by his mother. Maybe he doesn’t want to marry her either, and he feels forced. Change the plot a bit, if you must. Play around!! Get creative!!
Olaf = Peter maybe?
Sven = Call him Prongs and you’re good to go.
Anyway yeah, I felt passionate about this so here you go xx

Omg I’ve only scrolled a couple of pieces of your art but they are incredible!! You’re an amazing artist!!
So, who’s the oc on the banner (I think that’s what it’s called) photo? They look so cool!!
Yay I’m glad you liked them!! <33
And, despite looking nothing like her, that character was supposed to be a “villain” Elsa lol. In the time, I wrote a short story and made this drawing of her:
Tumblr media
So, is this the end?
I have done it. I finished my job. After years, it happened:
The world is frozen.
I was tired of their laugh, tired of their joy, their happiness, love, pleasure… even their sadness was worth of envy.
Such things were lost in the way before I could even notice, just like my body. My chest aches to breathe, my vision is made of abstract shapes, I can only hear my fading heartbeats in my ears. Taste and smell? Well, they were the first to disappear.
Yet, I persist. No for out of will, nor for the lack of it. No matter what I think about my situation, it will remain like this. I am a living statue, forever stuck in this endless life.
Immortal and unchangeable; not exactly the nature of ice, but my curse messed up nature itself. Many living beings were extinct in the permanent cold weather, many died in starvation, others in captivity, some in my stalactites. And thousands, millions, tens of millions were turned into ice statues.
My people, families, men, women, children, elders… all stopped in time, with no index of fear in their body language. They weren’t waiting for my power to struck them like this.
Anna is also there. I can’t see her face, but I know it’s her. My sister, who insisted so much for my well-being no matter what I did through the years.
Now she’s nothing but a sculpture. All of them.
My own art exhibition, made by me, for me only.
My body cracked when I sighed. I’m sat in my throne, crown on my head and staff in my hand. A, literally, cold Queen. Or tyrant. They used to call me by all names, didn’t they? Devil, even. So I promised I’d remember theirs as well:
Frank, Philips, Greg, Paola, Theo, Angela, Hiago, Mathias, Vanya, Wender, Christine, Diana, Xavier… Hans, Kristoffer, Sven, Olaf.
Yes, I remember all of them. I remember everything. Every single word and deed that I have done. I remember every single soul I killed, their positions, their expressions, their feelings, oh, excruciating details of their pain. All of it reflected in my ice as it came from out to inside them.
They were destined to die someday, I only advanced what was meant to be. I did it for everyone’s well-being. The cries of the ones left were disturbing me. They made me desire to live like that once again, to be human once again, to listen to Anna’s pledge. Her sobbing voice when she found out I failed suiciding… it almost made me human again.
But to be human is to be weak and fragile. If I were human, I’d be dead when I threw myself from that cliff. But I am something else. I am transcendent. I am made to be like this, nothing will bring me to the mud of humanity.
I chose it for me, it’s humanity’s problem to deal with the consequences of my choice.
I sometimes wonder if it was the right decision.
How much time passed? Days? Months? Years? Centuries?
Does it matter? Nothing will change anyway.
We are frozen for eternity.

Being Hers
Elsa x Knight!Reader headcanons
Tumblr media
You were a knight, trained from a young age to protect the crown.
Around her age, Elsa found herself drawn to you even through the fear of her powers. She was in love with you from a young age and yet the fear of her powers kept her away from you.
She found herself sneaking out of the self imposed exile of her room just to sneak to the training grounds to see you as you trained with the other guards.
For most of your life growing up in the castle, you felt someone’s gentle eyes on you. You’d see a streak of platinum blonde hair peering around a corner. Anna would often giggle, she knew exactly who it was.
Anna would try anything she could to get Elsa to talk with you. She even slide a ‘do you like Y/N’ note under Elsa’s door once.
When the time came for Elsa to take the crown, you were named Elsa’s bodyguard. Despite having seen her a couple times, the sight of her beauty took your breath away.
What you didn’t notice was that her breath had hitched at the sight of you in your armor.
‘Your majesty’ you bowed to her.
‘my knight’ she bowed back.
And then came the frozen lake incident. Anna ordered you to look after the people of Arendale along with Hans. You saw through his facade.
It was you that defended Elsa against Hans when Anna made her sacrifice and subsequently saved both herself and Elsa.
Elsa’s heart was finally open and yet she was still a little shy around you. Even in the comfort of her study while you stood at the ready, she could only steal little glances at you.
‘I’m at your side always, my queen’ you tell her.
‘please’ she gently asks you, ‘when it’s just us, call me Elsa’
‘of course…Elsa’ the sound of her name on your lips made her shutter a little.
It was the combined efforts of Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven that finally got Elsa to admit her feelings for you.
Elsa professed her love for you while you and her were in her study.
‘Y/N’ she found her throat dry, ‘I-I can’t have you as my bodyguard anymore.’
‘I’m sorry, my queen?’
‘I-I wish for you to be mine.’ Elsa stutters, ‘I love you. I know it goes against every oath and every vow you’ve taken but-’
You close the gap and kiss her gently. Despite the supposed chill of her powers, you found her touch, her lips, to be extremely warm. Her arms wrap around your neck as yours wrap around her waist.
Elsa giggles in delight, ‘I’ll take that as a yes?’
‘I love you Elsa’ you whisper against her lips, ‘I don’t care what oath or what vow, you’re worth breaking them’
‘Maybe we can make some of our own vows some day’
The idea sounded fantastic.
