aaron can't even look robert in the eye most of the time and that is genuinely exciting to me. i don't even think it is about protecting his marriage to john. the marriage thing is an excuse. the way i see danny playing this is that aaron is still traumatized from what happened when robert went to prison and cut all contact. aaron is lashing out at robert like he lashed out when he came back in 2023 and was saying the most horrible things to the people he loved because he was hurting. so what i mean is, aaron still resents robert for cutting him off, for abandoning him, for choosing his life for him again. and now john is mostly a cover for aaron's pain. and yes, aaron knows he can't trust himself when it comes to robert, but a stable aaron would have been able to try and support robert as a friend like robert asked. this aaron is completely OFF. he is teetering. on the edge. he is desperate. HE CAN'T LOOK ROBERT IN THE EYE.
