Here's something from the drafts that I also yapped with Cal about:

Something that I noticed a bit too late with Hunter's color palettes is that compared to his Golden Guard uniforms which were majority yellow and neutrals, his casual TTT outfit has not only yellow (his main color) but also blue added by his pants and red added from Flapjack, his shoes, and the patches/watermelons on his pants depending on the fit

Apart from his changes being clear from his outfit alone (like he's clearly in comfort clothes and not a uniform), the color palette speaks a lot to his evolution as well, because these are primary colors. The yellow goes from prestigious gold to just... a color. A color that, when paired with the red and blue he has gained in TTT, is considered a color palette that is often associated with children or childhood

Which makes me realize that yeah, this is representing him finally being able to just be a kid and not a solider who had limited control over his identity and self-expression. But more than that is the fact that you can make any other color with the three primary colors. His color palette shows that although he's just starting to heal and doesn't quite know who he is just yet, he now has the resources and support to mix things up and make new colors and figure himself out later on. He's not being restricted anymore

And since Flapjack was such a big part of his life, maybe he's actually meant to be orange. You never know

Hello... I am back from the dead after almost two months... <:'3

First of all I'm sorry for just disappearing like that. Lots of stuff was on my head and this semester is very intense. And another thing is that I really wanted to make this part look good.

I was set on making this comic a bit more high quality. Since the previous parts are just. I don't know. I want to make good things. So I colored every page which was a bit tough. But I did it!!

Also!! Thank you for 300 followers!! Wow!! I would never guess I'd get so many people wanting to look at the stuff I make!! WAAAA!!!!

there was a post recently about the beautiful Italian version of Hans' bawdy poetry that invokes Alain de Lille's De planctu Naturae, which establishes that homosexuality is "against nature." The Italian version, of course, then declares that Alain de Lille was wrong, and that there's no more perfect love.

So I got curious and looked at the German and French versions.

The German is very similar to the English, but the French... is unique enough that I think it's worth remarking on... because it's just one sentence.

I had a crazy crack idea where the YJs are Victorian era schoolgirls who are shipwrecked on a tropical island and Travis is a local merman.

okay so heres the altered premise: the wiskayok girls' high school soccer team was set to play chester girls' high in nova scotia. en route, they get blown north and wrecked on an uninhabited island on the eastern coast of newfoundland. after discovering a deserted innu village where they wait for rescue, they find that the art surviving in the ruins might have more truth to it than just local folklore.

sorry i kinda forgot about the tropical island part i just think it would be more interesting if they still had to deal with winters (and i needed a version of The Cabin out there so. gave em a whole village to be safe). also yes its not colored in but nat's corset is red because i said so. im a big fan of merman travis and i think its really funny they get wrecked on this spooky deserted island and the first thing they run into is an english (not french, not innu, not inuttitut) speaking merman named TRAVIS
