Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello... I am back from the dead after almost two months... <:'3
First of all I'm sorry for just disappearing like that. Lots of stuff was on my head and this semester is very intense. And another thing is that I really wanted to make this part look good.
I was set on making this comic a bit more high quality. Since the previous parts are just. I don't know. I want to make good things. So I colored every page which was a bit tough. But I did it!!
Also!! Thank you for 300 followers!! Wow!! I would never guess I'd get so many people wanting to look at the stuff I make!! WAAAA!!!!
If any of you still remember me thank you for being patient!!

I believe Bobby is coming back from the dead because I think we deserve to live in a world where Kenneth Choi gets to act his ass off by playing a simultaneously relieved/joyous and angry/furious Chimney, who feels like he has to thank Bobby, but also scream at him until his throat is sore because it wasn't fair to make that decision! he's going to say they should have played rock, paper, scissors and Bobby will chuckle because he thinks he's joking like silly haha Chimney, but Chimney is like "no, we should have discussed it, you died and I didn't even get to say thank you. you died and I owed you a debt I didn't even know about. you let me carry that" and he has to wrestle with the guilt of knowing that Bobby would do that for him, not just theoretically, but actual concrete proof that Bobby would die to save him. which they all know on some surface level that they'd die for one another, but it feels like such a far-off concept until it isn't. but Chimney also has to deal with the gratitude because Chimney is also so incredibly thankful that he didn't die. every step of the way he wanted Ravi, Bobby, Buck, and Athena to commit crimes, because he loves his life and he wants to keep living it. he's so overjoyed that he got to go home to his wife and kid, and that comes with its own guilt because how can he be so happy to be home when Bobby DIED. does that make him a monster? that on some level he's HAPPY that Bobby did that? and now he has to FACE Bobby. so he tries to be the Before Chimney who gets people whimsical gifts, but how do you give someone balloons about choosing your life over theirs? and he spirals because he's different now and Bobby is here and he has so so much he wants to say but all of it feels contradictory and unfair and he would normally go to Bobby for advice. so he does. he goes to Bobby and he says "what would you do, if you were in my position?" and Bobby just says "whatever you need to say or feel, I understand" and that just makes Chimney even more upset because what he needs is for none of this to have ever happened. its like they all got a re-do, but kept the memories and the feelings and now he has nowhere appropriate to put them. anyway, Bobby lives and we get Chimney angst yay <3 forever and ever.

if you try to buy shoes or a belt these days the product description on the website will be like "a new Premium Vegan Leather made from recycled water bottles and discarded apple skins from the apple juice industry!!!" well i would like it to be made out of discarded cow skins from the cow industry. is that an option.

mentally preparing myself for a dead boy detectives cameo that's as small/lacking in any new information as a glimpse of either or both of them through one of Despair's mirrors - & equal parts hopeful and terrified of anything more substantial than that tbh

oouhhhh I'm dying of artblock. so I'm forcing myself to draw things that look shitty DEAD EMMET AU SAVE ME. SAVE ME DEAD EMMET AU.
basics of this au; Ingo was missing(in Hisui) for eight years, and in that time, Emmet spent it not coping well to the point he gave himself a heart problem from the stress.
Complications from a seizure and stress caused him to die in his home.
Normally that would be fucked up and bad; but what makes it worse, is that a month after Emmet dies, Ingo reappears back at the subway and tries to stitch himself back into the old life he didn't know, and have to deal with grieving a guy who has been with him for most of his life but he doesn't even know.
But Emmet is verrrrrry much not gone.
anyways. I them. this au is a bit more ingo focused than what I normally drift around because I like Emmet soooooo much. I'm going to throw more thoughts down.
Despite dying in their apartment, Emmet wanders around Gear Station; its where he spent most of his time and where Ingo disappeared. He, as a ghost, is looking for Ingo still, thinking it will cause things to go back to normal.
Emmet isn't really sentient in the month between his death and Ingo's return. He's aimlessly wandering in through the station and the tunnels calling for him and asking if people have seen him, but he can't really interact well. Sometimes he's spotted or heard. He's probably talked to passengers and been seen on trains, with many excuses.
Chandelure can see and interact with Emmet as soon as he appears at the station. She would wander the tunnels to keep him company in the month after he dies.
When Ingo does return, something clicks and he is actually aware. He has a lot more control of what he can do and isn't stuck in some foggy limbo of conscious.
Emmet finds out he can posses Ingo, which he uses to polish up duties he thinks Ingo needs help with. Sometimes he just wants to jump in for a battle.
Elesa and the other depot agents are not happy about the possessions. Elesa thinks Ingo is pulling a joke in bad taste(because I mean you didn't know the guy but he was your brother and he's fucking dead), and the agents get really uncomfortable.
Before Ingo knows about him being a ghost, the possessions feel like a lapse of time that he is only vaugely aware of. After Ingo and Emmet meet in the tunnels, Ingo can boot him out and communicate with him.
First two images are after Ingo comes back but before they meet, and the third one is before Ingo is back.
SCRATCHES HEAD. I don't really have much on any actual stuff. I'd love to do a comic or perhaps a fic but I have the horrible disease of not knowing how to panel things in a way I can achieve and the other illness of not writing often. whatever. I am a big fan of au though. I think it's neat. hopefully I'll be out of artblock soon enough to do more shit about it. I lot a lot of little scenarios I'd like to draw out
I'm also going to @emmyet because you're sooooo nicies and soooo polite and got me to draw multiples things with oneeee swag reply. hiiii helloooooooooo (CHEERFUL WAVE)

Okay did anyone else notice that there's a little instrumental arrangement of The Winner Takes It All playing in the background of that scene from Better Call Saul 04x06. I have been thinking about this constantly for like 3 years and I've never seen anybody talk about it I need to get this out of my system...
That + the exit sign being there throughout pretty much the entire scene just hanging there above Jimmy. Chuck is practically omnipresent in that scene without even being there. Absolute cinema (also Jimmy's seemingly more emotional reaction to Mrs. Strauss' death is probably supposed to mirror all the repressed and unspoken grief he feels for Chuck that's just lingering deep down. So much to say about this scene. The horrors)

My pet peeve is everyone blaming Fitz for everything bad that has happened to Molly.
Everyone says Fitz lied so much to Molly, but I don't even really think that's fair. Like a lot of the "lies" are assumptions on Molly's part. He had some egregious lies of omission, but I find those to be very understandable. Of course he isn't going to tell Molly he's the infamous Fitz. She apparently thought they were courting but all those years and she never had any curiosity about Fitz's real name or background? And didn't lie about being drunk, she assumed the worst. (Although, it looks bad.) Fitz never tells Molly about being Witted, but he it seems like that was smart, because Fitz was literally executed for it! Fitz "lies" to Molly about marrying her and going to the king for permission, but he doesn't actually lie, does he? He does everything he says he will. He's more honest with Molly than he is with most people. But when Fitz's best intentions are thwarted, Molly blames Fitz. She assumes he never meant it, and he was a duplicitous and untrustworthy person the whole time. And let's be honest, a lot of this was her mind being poisoned by Regal and the other people of the Keep. Fitz literally tells her he's an assassin and she just chooses not to believe him.
Molly is the same as Fitz, which is why their relationship was doomed from the start. Molly was abused from a young age and assumes the worst about other people. She tests them, and pushes them away. Fitz is similar, the difference being his bone deep self loathing. They are a match made in hell.
Molly goes through a lot because of her relationship with Fitz, but he doesn't actually deceive her in the way she claims. And moreover, I think the fact that she never told Fitz she was pregnant is way worse than any of Fitz's lies. Because she doesn't truly want Fitz out of her life, she is just testing his loyalty. She is as childish as Fitz is! Which is understandable, because of everything they've gone through! But everyone blames Fitz for all of it, because he blames himself, because he is an unreliable narrator. I'm not saying Fitz was a good boyfriend or anything, just that they share responsibility for the failures of their relationship.
And don't ever say to me that Fitz "abandoned" Molly, Burrich or Nettle. Molly made the choice to kick Fitz out of Nettle's life. I think they did seriously cross a boundary. Burrich is clearly meant to parallel Molly's father, with his age and drinking habits. Molly seems to need a father more than a husband, but she thinks a man who isn't cruel to her would be a good husband. And from what little we see of their marriage, they seem very dysfunctional. I just cannot understand when people chalk Fitz's feelings about them to be petty jealousy. It's not that he's jealous of Burrich, Burrich seems way more possessive of Molly than Fitz ever was. All he wanted was a family, and they forgot him so easily, and blamed him for things he didn't do.

#— ai rambles#sorry guys i’m still stuck here but i think these additions and that thread shed so much light on the deeper meaning behind gege’s latest#sketch of satoru’s genpuku ceremony that i just had to share it here with you all#im spiraling so bad bc the distinction between genpuku and seijin no hi is so important even though gege put that ? there#like hes just a guy 😭 but like him choosing the former rly speaks volumes about the tone and weight of that moment#to me it looks like seijin no hi is like more personal and celebratory while genpuku is a public and duty bound ritual#it’s not just about becoming and adult it’s sort of a contract and stepping into service taking on responsibilities and pledging loyalty to#the clan 🥲#so for satoru this moment wasn’t symbolic it was binding#now his short hair makes so much more sense bc it wasn’t just a style choice#it was part of a rigid formal performance of identity expected from the heir of one of the big three clans#the name change thing is mind blowing to me like WHAT DO U MEAN#did satoru have another name before that? bc that’s just so sad 🥲#if satoru is the name he took on at genpuku then it’s not just a name but a role and that just makes him all the more tragic#like he’s long buried that younger self in service of the one who could carry the weight of being the strongest 🥲#also i think the clans have their own private education systems like satoru didn’t need to attend jujutsu tech but he CHOSE to#that in itself is a subtle act of rebellion and so the genpuku basically is the clans last attempt at control to symbolically tether him#back to his roots and the irony is so heartbreaking bc by accepting the genpuku satoru traded lifelong obligation for the freedom to attend#school outside of clan jurisdiction it’s literally tragedy hidden in plain sight that satoru’s autonomy always came at a cost#that part with kento shot me dead bc once again this sketch of gege isn’t just for nothing#ofc there’s something deeper in it 😭#GEGE WHEN I CATCH YEOOWWW#[ ♡ ] — satoru

blue is the ocean and royal and todd. blue is the depth of his eyes when they swallow him whole, make him feel open- are you okay, neil? always asking. always asking. honesty's blue, so neil is honest and todd cries. children use blue crayons for tears. neil's a crayon, there's less of him the more things he does. todd asks again, a blue breeze trapped in their room. neil sucks a blue bruise into todd's neck because that isn't technically lying. todd clings onto some sort of hope, but neil can already hear the ocean, the dizzying depth of it. neil is blue. good bye is blue.

pushing daisies kaishin au #2
pushing daisies au where shinichi has been able to revive dead animals, plants, even people since he was a child.
kudou "i can literally talk to the dead" shinichi
shinichi's parents didn’t exactly encouraged him to use this power. especially not in public. they’ve seen him revive and re-kill dead plants and animals in the same breath, it doesn’t take a detective to figure out what could happen near a human corpse.
but a young shinichi is curious, a young shinichi admired his father, and a young shinichi wanted to prove himself a detective. but most of all, a young shinichi wanted to help.
so when he saw his father struggle in solving a particular case, a young shinichi figured that maybe asking straight from the source would help give them a hint.
the complete horror in yusaku's eyes shinichi saw that day made him promise himself to never do it again.
shinichi realizes later on that reviving someone just for a clue on the whos, hows, and whys of their death only to touch them again, to basically kill them again, is sick and twisted and the realization leaves him feeling raw and dirty.
he then decides that if he’s gonna find out the truth, if he’s gonna bring justice, it’s not by making the victims suffer a second death. he will unravel the mystery not by magic but by logic.
the curious case of kuroba kaito
hakuba immediately contacts shinichi.
“he was...a friend. if i have to gather all the best detectives to catch his murderer then so be it.”
hakuba goes on to explain.
it was a kid heist. shots were fired. snipers. kaitou kid was caught on camera falling, as if he’d been shot, but he appears a minute later flying away on his glider with not a speck of blood on his suit. all should be well however, a few buildings away in an alleyway, the body of kuroba kaito is found dead. gunshots through the heart and chest.
a simple explanation would’ve been that the glider was a fake activated by kid’s assistant as a last ditch effort to save his legacy and this kuroba kaito was kaitou kid himself. he would’ve said it out loud but by the look on hakuba’s face, he can tell that he already connected those dots long before shinichi even stepped foot in the morgue. that wasn’t what hakuba called him for.
“can i...take a look at the body alone?”
hakuba raises an eye at him but moves to leave without questioning. "alright then. i have to check on another friend anyway. she's been...distraught ever since she heard the news and..." hakuba's words trail away as his eyes unconsciously drifted towards kuroba kaito's covered body. shinichi patiently waits through the quiet pain that he sees on hakuba. the pinch in his brows, the tenseness of his body. he must've been a really good friend.
hakuba shakes his head and turns his attention back to shinichi. "sorry, i...its been a long day. i'll leave you here then. call me if you find anything."
left alone, shinichi carefully zips open the body bag covering kaitou kid's upper body. he looked eerily similar to himself and imagining his own body cold and dead in the morgue sent a shiver down his spine. shaking his head, he pulls a chair close and reads through the file hakuba brought him.
"no witnesses. no camera. not a trace nor lead to anything. just some reports on mysterious gunshots in previous heists that lead to nowhere." they were professionals, whoever did this, shinichi thought. it was not going to be an easy case.
he takes another peek at the body. so this was kaitou kid, huh. too young to be the same as the one before his hiatus. perhaps a successor? motive could be related to his predecessor. his mother hasn't said anything of interest. does she really not know or is she protecting him? he runs his hand through his hair. there's too little information to go on...unless...
temptation rears its head. the source of information is right there in front of him. one touch and it could open up new leads to the case. an immediate disgust twists deep into his gut. he promised himself to never use it on people. to never kill. his father's haunted eyes embedded in his mind. he shouldn't. he really shouldn't. but he remembers the anguished look on hakuba's face. if he was going to do it, this might be the only good time. any longer and his touch would not revive kid. and gone along with him would be vital information to catch his murderer.
shinichi heaves a deep sigh. he has never used his abilities on dead people since that one incident as a child but he couldn't shake off the look on hakuba's face. it was now or never. shinichi reaches for kid's hand.

the way Edwin's immediate reaction upon seeing the misery wraith in the Devlin house is to grab Crystal and cover her mouth, even while he's explaining (apparently calmly) that it hunts by sensing negativity and pain - presumably instead of using sight or sound
and the way that he does the exact same thing to Charles when they're reunited in Hell, but here he urges him specifically to be quiet (in what must be the most barely audible line of dialogue in the whole show) because he's found that's the only way he can get a short reprieve between bouts of torture from the spider thing (to the point that when he ran into Simon earlier he - rather nonsensically - believed the sound of tearing paper behind a closed door was also a big risk)
All I'm saying is, it doesn't look like it was actually all that important he stop Crystal from making noise in the Devlin house, and as much as that scene originally read as Edwin kinda having his shit together while Charles & Crystal were both more affected & then literally incapacitated, his head couldn't have been half as clear as it first seemed if his immediate reaction was reverting to Surviving Hell Tactics even when they weren't really helpful or applicable here

my personal headcanon is the vees were unremarkable nobodies when they were alive. i just love it as a thematic throughline for them. they love to let the public of hell speculate on them being famed and acclaimed since before death, but the the truth is they were a d-list failed influencer that got by on cheap controversey and scamming, a broke junkie who burned every shaky bridge he ever had, and a worn-out broadcast production assistant with more rejected auditions and tossed out script pitches than he could count. nobody missed them when they were gone, nobody cared who they were until they were dead.
#because villains who didn't start off supremely powerful are more interesting to me#vees#it's not that they CAN'T be better. or that they're simply ignorant of the ways they fuck up others lives#they actually all do have that knowledge of being the underdog. and it's made them all the more shitty#because they never want to be those people again#narratives about people who make each other worse <3#to be clear they were still shitty people in life. manipulative. consumed by greed and envy. all their individual flaws etc etc#but hell made them into the absolute worst versions of themselves#of course what their Worst Self is and the journey/length of time/initial reaction to being in hell varies#like val sees hell as a continuation of the things happening in life. just w/ the power dynamics always privileging him#it's the same drugs and violence. except the violence isn't just survival anymore but the chance to indulge his deeply sadistic desires#vox has completely dissociated from his time alive. that person is dead and he's reinvented himself 1000 times over since then#90% of the time he has those memory files shoveled into a hidden directory#he refuses to acknowledge that he's still haunted by some of the same insecurities from almost a century ago#val doesn't necessarily see his living self in a fond light but he does see that person as fundamentally him#velvette thinks life was full of people who weren't her demographic but fortunately that's been fixed by sinners!#they just couldn't Get Her and that was all their faults#the primary way they view their past selves can be summed up as: scorn (vox) apathy (valentino) and in denial (velvette)#sorry the bulk of the post was in the tags. i will be doing this again#the scorn is the coping mechanism for shame. of course
