How about any TTRPGs set underwater that aren't horror themed?
THEME: Underwater Games.
Hello friend! I am so sorry that your asks got eaten - I'm glad to have them back! (It looks like Tabletop Trick or Treat unearthed a few gems.)
Now, let's see what kind of underwater games I can fish up for you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deepwater Enclaves, by kiryas.
Just plain old air pollution? A failed weather control experiment? Or more sinister forces? Nobody will know for sure why earth cooled below a dark mantle of clouds in the 1980s. Agriculture could not adapt fast enough and when conventional battles for the few remaining natural resources close to the equatorial line erupted into full-scale nuclear war, humanity was on the brink of extinction. Less than five hundred thousand mostly malnourished, freezing humans were left, when the year 2000 began.
This game is about venturing from a safe Community into the unknown. At the core are taking risks for your loved ones; sometimes this is at odds with your individual motives.
Deepwater Enclaves is a Rooted in Trophy game that contains a number of roll tables with evocative choices, and a community creation that involves the entire table. As players, you play both your character and a member of the community who is important to someone else. You play through a series of scenes, structured in a similar way to the way you might set up a scene in a tv show.
To participate in a scene, if you are not one of the original characters set to play a role, other players must spend a token. These tokens are also used to affect outcomes from when you roll, as well as reduce risks that may pop up as you play. You need two different colours or shades of d6’s for this: one colour will represent regular dice, while the other will represent “dark” dice, which raise the stakes whenever you roll with them.
Overall, I think this game is about exploration and survival. I think it has the potential to be a horror game if you want it to be, but you can also alter the tone to redirect the story towards something more dramatic, perhaps centring the game more on your community, and awarding the players with enough tokens to give them the ability to pull themselves out of danger.
Carcinauts!, by Hessan Yongdi.
Carcinauts! is inspired by a famous British children's animated TV show that takes place in and around the sea. You play animal explorers, scientists, and rescuers. Joined by your many friends and helpers, you seek to learn more about our fascinating oceans. Make the world a better place for the animals who live in and around the Great Blue Sea!
Based on the prolific Dominus system created by members of the Brazilian RPG community, Carcinauts! is designed to allow for quick play without a game master. This makes it idea for a solo session in the Sea or a team adventure, using the tables to build out your story. Its simple rules based around d6s and largely non-violent topic materials also make this game child-friendly.
Carcinauts is a two-page game that feels a little bit like a kid’s show; you are all underwater animal explorers, going on missions and solving problems. The resolution of the game is called the Dilemma oracle, and is fairly simple. You must determine two possible outcomes or answers, and then roll 1d6. On a 1-3 the first option is true, on a 4-6 a second option is true. These outcomes need not necessarily be “success” and “failure” either. They could be “left” and :right”, “up” and “down”, or “true” and “false”. This resolution system also makes the game friendly to solo gamers or GM-less tables.
If you want a light-hearted game about underwater explorers, which generates a lot of story ideas for you, maybe check out Carcinauts.
Deep Love, by Bully Pulpit Games.
You’ve come to this paradise to drop a two-and-a-half ton iron ball off the side of a ship and lower it almost a kilometer into the abyss.
You’ve come to crawl inside that iron ball and go down with it, to see what there is to see down there.
You’ve come with three other brilliant adventurers, friends, and lovers, and you’ll all get a chance to descend and risk your lives in exchange for seeing things no human being has ever seen.  And maybe, in the inky darkness and cold silence, you’ll find a measure of happiness and fulfillment.
Deep Love has a fond appreciation for old naturalist drawings of various fish, and uses those drawings as the art for the game. You play four characters, possibly pre-generated, on an expedition to the deep waters of an island for a geographic expedition. You all have feelings for each-other, and you’ll have to spend some extended time in a bathysphere to sort this out.
This game looks like it’s equal parts emotional conversation & role play, and, on the other hand, discovering the wonder of the ocean. According to the designer, it looks like you can modify how much you want to experience the former, and how much you want to experience the latter. If you want a game that gives you the tools to explore both your character’s internal emotional landscape as well as the strange underwater world around them, you might like Deep Love.
Submerged, by Arcane Atlas Games.
SUBMERGED is a solo journalling game of undersea exploration.
In this game, you take on the role of a daring explorer aboard a submersible. You have been charged with venturing into the depths of the ocean, to find something wondrous and undiscovered, hidden deep below the waves.
This one is for the solo gamers! It’s based on Carta, which uses a deck of cards to explore a map or series of locations. The player draws a number of cards and lays them face-down in a grid. Each turn, you move to a new card, flip it over, and come up with a journal entry based on the prompt the card gives you. The four suits represent four elements of the game: the Lost City, The Creature, the Wreckage, and the Signal. All of these elements play into the themes of mystery and exploration that this game seems to be about, but I don’t think any of it is necessarily horror-focused.
24XX The Deep, by Chaosmeister.
ONE DAY THE OCEANS DROWNED THE WORLD. Humanity survived below the waves. The sea birthed leviathans. Your crew owns a dingy old sub. Odd jobs, salvage, leviathan hunting and a few merc gigs keep you afloat and breathing.
24XX The Deep is a game about underwater survival and it’s also a drama. As a 24XX game, it’s only a few pages, but those pages distill the necessary parts of the game into a few things: customization for your submarine (aesthetic and mechanic), character options, and roll tables for pieces of the world, such as the factions that your crew might have to work with or work against.
The designer for this game says that 24XX The Deep isn’t necessarily meant to be a horror game, but it can still be a little creepy in tone when you consider the ways the natural underwater environment can raise the stakes for your players.
Aqua Squad, by Em.
A Tunnel Goons hack of aquatic and aquatic-adjacent adventure, created for the Saturday Morning Cartoon Jam.
I think this might be a fairly safe bet considering it was submitted to something called the Saturday Morning Cartoon Jam! As a Tunnel Goons hack, this game is fairly simple. You follow the Submarine crew of the Cuttlefish, as they go for adventures underwater. Players pick character types, which kind of act like characters on a tv show, and fill in a few pieces of information to make those characters fit their play style.
The resolution mechanic involves rolling 2d6 and adding a relevant ability, and adding +1 for any relevant item you might have with you. You must meet or beat the difficulty score to succeed. You start with 3 items, and 10 HP. There isn’t much in terms of GM tools for adventure generation however, other than what appears to be episode title names. These titles can be evocative: you roll two words and put them together, so the GM may have an interesting time designing a “ghostly volcano” for the squad to investigate, or trying to figure out what the title “Vacation Megalodon” might mean.
Signals From The Deep, by Aaron Goss.
SIGNALS FROM THE DEEP is a tense, ocean-floor setting and scenario made using a no dice, no masters roleplaying game system Tiny Tokens.
This scenario takes you and the rest of your old, sentient, deep sea research robot team SEA-4 on a shared voyage, exploring deep sea wonders as you seek out the source of a anomalous signal detected way down at the bottom of the ocean. What awaits you in the depths?
Signals in the Deep is a mystery game, but it’s not necessarily a horror one. The game is small, meant to fit on two double-sized poker-card-sized cards. It’s easy to pick up and carry, and doesn’t have too many rules. Your core goal is to figure out the source of the signal; but what exactly that source is will be up to the GM, at least from what I can see.

Headcanoning possible Life Series "gimmicks"/concepts
Tumblr media
...with a twist! What's the twist? Yeah. Inspired by Kamen Rider season gimmicks WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT
I'll only do some because 1) I have yet to watch every Kamen Rider season 2) not every season fits for a Life Series gimmick. Especially the older ones would be too repetitive since they are very similar in that regard!
Also, if I don't specify further, the regular lives distribution is used.
1) Kamen Rider Kuuga
Tumblr media
This is probably the most normal, not too gimmick heavy KR season I'll add here. But the thing with the Gurongi seems interesting to implement into a Life Series season! In the show, Kuuga needs to kill all the Gurongi, who make a game out of killing as many humans as they can.
Possible concept:
There are two teams of players, randomly chosen each session. A and B, for simplicity. Team B needs to kill as many things as possible. What things? Some sort of mob maybe. Or just any mob in general. But team A needs to kind of prevent them from doing this. Definitely would be harder at the beginning, where greens can't kill each other to prevent this, but could get chaotic later on with a more serious threat of being killed for participating.
Each team will, similarly to Secret Life/Trivia Bot, gain some rewards if they're the successful team. The losing team doesn't get a penalty, I think then people wouldn't focus TOO heavily on this game.
2) Kamen Rider Ryuki
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh... Ryuki me belobed... One of the best and most painful seasons fr, a timeless classic. In this season, it's all about a battle royale, called the Rider War. The Riders need to fight to the death until only one is left, who gets a wish fullfilled. They also fight with the help of a card deck that gives them abilities. On top of that, Riders all have a contract with a monster from the "Mirror World" that helps them fight. If they don't feed it in time (like with other monsters or humans), it will eat them.
It's kinda a bit like PokĂŠmon- uh, without the eating It's own trainer. Funnily enough, the voice actress of Ash sings the opening theme! She's a big Kamen Rider fan and still friends with one of the actors of the show to this day!
((BTW! As of just recently, Kamen Rider Ryuki is fully available on Youtube for free! On the TokuSHOUTsu channel. It has also been on Tubi for a while, but it coming to Youtube is actually wild. Probably need a VPN if it isn't in your region though, it's always kinda weird with Toku...))
Possible concept:
There are a couple things I have in mind here, could be either their own concepts or combined, but then it'd be a bit too chaotic 😭
- Card decks. Well, this isn't the only KR season that has cards as gimmicks. And now, with Wild Life, the Life Series has done it too! But here, the cards are all individually given to the players. They have a button or a card deck in their inventory. When triggered, it gives them a random temporary ability. Maybe some sort of buff, or even weapons! Everything around offence and defence. Of course, to balance it, there will be a cooldown after each use. Maybe the lower the players' lives are, the stronger they get.
There is the so-called "Survive" card only a few characters get throughout the show, but it would be cool to have it in the finale for the last players to be triggerable. Basically, think a huge boost for all stats and/or good weapons/armour.
- Contract monsters. So, in session one, everyone is off to go find one mob they want to use as a contract monster. The contract is done by defeating any mob while holding a contract card in the off-hand. Let's say each mob has certain useful abilities it would bring, also they help fighting. They cannot be killed by other players as long as their owner is alive, so they aren't too strong on their own, more used for the players as supporters. BUT if you don't feed it regularly, it will start hunting you down, and then you'll be also the one who can't kill it.
How to feed it? Hostile mobs, other player kills (doesn't matter if it's a regular kill or permakill). All of those kills count the same amount so people don't actively try to kill each other from second one.
What happens to the contract mob if it's player permadies by another player? Well, let's make it pretty much like in Ryuki and they will try to get revenge and hunt the killer down. BUT if the player defeats it, they can either kill it off for good, or make a contract with it, too. It will "fuse" with the players OG mob, aka it will get it's effects added on top of it.
Keep in mind, the more contract mobs you have, the more mouths you have to feed, even though they're fused, they count as multiple.
- The finale. So, by the end, there is one player left, the usual. You can definitely count them as the winner, BUT they now have to prove themselves in a final battle against someone. Who? Could be either the "strongest" player on the server (can be decided on beforehand or in the moment), or someone who isn't even in the Life Series! If they lose then it would certainly be a bit embarassing. It's only really a silly little thought on how to implement this concept of the Rider War, since there aren't any real stakes in a Minecraft series 😭
3) Kamen Rider 555
Tumblr media
(Pronounced or also just referred to as Kamen Rider Faiz)
Now, this one I didn't initially want to include because I wasn't sure how, but some sort of Orphnoch-like would be interesting.
In the world of Faiz, there are beings called Orphnoch and they're... kind of similar to zombies in the way of how they exist but not... all of them??? Let's see how I can do this.
I will be using the name Orphnoch, because zombie just would feel weird lol.
Also, interestingly enough, Orphnochs are all grey! Thought this was kinda fitting - because of the grey red life skins. Although now people seem to go more into the red, but still.
Tumblr media
Possible concept:
Two ideas on how to implement it!
- There are two ways players' lives are distributed. 6 or 5 lives. The ones that already are Orphnochs that haven't awakened their powers yet, and the ones who will turn into one after death.
A: Players with 6 lives, upon reaching their last live, will get into a buffed state and their name turns grey. They cannot die from anything other than other Orphnochs OR enchanted weapons.
The buffed stats will all be kind of different, with them randomly focusing on speed, strength, or defence.
On top of that, they can hear further and get night vision, making it harder to sneak up on them.
B: Players with 5 lives, upon losing their 5th life, will not permadie. After about 10 minutes, they will be revived with a grey name and also be in the Orphnoch state that's the same as the one mentioned.
- I think this is my preferred one. A bunch of random players will be assigned the Orphnoch role, but they won't know.
The Orphnoch system is a bit different. Live distribution is all the same, but the Orphnochs will get into the buffed state about 10 minutes after their "permadeath". BUT the main thing is: they don't know it from the beginning on, so it's secret and more of a gamble.
Now, if they were to kill (not just permakill) a player in their Orphnoch state, the player will also turn into one. Their abilities will be the same as the killers, just weaker.
So let's say Orphnoch player A has strength 2, then converted player B will have strength 1.
One natural Orphnoch can only convert ONE player per session. Converted ones don't have this power. Only direct kills count as conversion, so no trap deaths, for example.
In this case here, anyone/anything can kill Orphnochs because it would be too OP otherwise. BUT, if you get turned into an Orphnoch on your last life, even though you naturally would've turned into one, you still get the weaker powers. All adds to the gamble.
Thing is, if you naturally turn into an Orphenoch after death, or let yourself get permakilled by one to turn into one, then you technically gain one life.
I think this would work well with people trying to make alliances and hoping to get permakilled by Orphnochs to get a stronger extra life, or taking the gamble of naturally being one.
Idk. I feel like this sounds weirdly complicated, but I think it could be really fun!
((Take a shot whenever I say Orphnoch))
4) Kamen Rider Blade
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OUGHGhh just like Ryuki: one of the best and most painful seasons. I will never be able to look at That bench the same again.
Anyway, in this season, it's all about a battle royale and it's card theme- wait, now when I say it like this is sounds like Ryuki again!
Well. Battle royales and adjacent survival/death games happen quite a few times in KR seasons, I love them!
In this one, there's a battle royale happening between the "Undead" - no, despite the name, they are not zombies, they are their own beings. They're actually called Undead because of their immortality. That's where the card theme comes in- instead of killing those Undead, they can only be sealed away once defeated.
Okay... the battle royale in this show also has its own name. Yeah. It's stupid. Yeah, it's called "Battle Fight". Yeag.
Anyway, the winner here will be granted a wish to change the world however they want, all that again. Not really important for when you put it into a Life Series concept...
Also, one of the characters has a "wild" form. And he transforms into it using a card that has "wild" written on it. WILD CARD REAL??
Tumblr media
Possible concept:
The thing is, sealing away Undeads in Blade puts them inside cards that can help for battles. HOWEVER, there are two similar upcoming seasons I want to put in here that I will be utilising this for instead, so I'll focus on another thing in the show: the Joker, a very very powerful Undead.
(But also btw an absolute meow meow. Look at this adorable little guy. My phone case is based on a card he uses <3)
Tumblr media
See, in this show, the cards are based on a suit of cards. There are different categories of "cards", so I'll be turning this one into a gimmick.
- This game starts completely normal, but there is one difference: everyone has a card in their inventory. To make sure everyone's stays safe, it's not possible to drop or put them into storage. If you want to transfer it to a different person, you need to do so via command.
This one card is their only chance as sealing the Joker. Who is that? At the beginning, one player gets randomly chosen to be this Joker. They can't normally permadie if they're on their last life. They can ONLY be sealed with the card everyone gets at the beginning.
Maybe see it as a bit like werewolf/mafia/among us, one of those type of social deduction games? It's not like the boogeyman, the Joker isn't an one episode curse and they technically don't have to kill anyone. Their only goal is to survive until the end. If by the end only two players are left, one of them is the Joker, and the other player doesn't have a card left, they will automatically lose because they can't kill the Joker.
If the Joker gets sealed before the finale, then the game just proceeds normally.
If the sealing card gets used on someone who is NOT the Joker, the player using the card loses a life. This, of course, will make it harder to use this ability towards the finale, especially if you're on your last life and risk permadying.
All in all, it's a very normal Life Series type game, just with this one looming threat that could ruin the finale.
Some thoughts on how to make it not too easy:
> The player who is the Joker isn't stronger in any way and can still take damage on their last life, they can only not die. Whenever they were to "die", they get a totem of undying effect - or maybe an alternative animation/sound to not make it too annoying lol. Either way, this is to ensure people don't go hitting everyone on their red life and see if they take damage or not.
> Depending on how many players are playing, maybe only half of the session gets a card. I feel like if a TON of people have those cards, the Joker can just be deducted from trial and error very quickly. Either that, or two Jokers. But then they'd have to leave each other alone 💔
> In a hypothetical scenario where this would be a series on Youtube, yeah, it 100% needs to be completely prerecorded up until the finale. Y'know how watchers are, want to spoil the fun for everyone and tell on every secret!
5) Kamen Rider W
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Pronounced Kamen Rider Double)
Oh, W... One of those things in Kamen Rider I had to think about when the whole Martren situation happened in Wild Life! (also. Wait. I just remembered one of the main characters actors names is Renn. huh...)
It's more of a detective-type season, but the main concept of this seasons main Rider is that it's actually two people sharing one body whenever they transform. One of them always loses consciousness, which then gets transferred into the other person's body while transforming.
Possible concept:
- This one's pretty easy and straightforward since some of the lifers already did something similar! Here is Jimmy's POV of it. They had two people control one Minecraft character for a race to beat the game.
So, in a way this is also how this Life Series concept would work. Two players get assigned to take control over one single body!
I was just thinking more about it not being throughout the whole series, and more just in random intervals! Would probably be a bit hard to do in Minecraft like this, but those here are all just hypothetical ideas, so there aren't really limits, I guess?
In a way, this is also a bit similar to Double Life, where people were practically forced to team up due to the soulmate bonds, although it didn't work on everyone bc this is the Life Series and people want to be silly that's why it is so great :'D
6) Kamen Rider OOO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Pronounced Kamen Rider Oh's)
So, I first introduced this season to you in another post due to the main characters being basically desert duo. BUT I think there could be an interesting concept with this season's theme- I'm just not 100% how to perfect it.
There are beings called Greeed in this show. They are, well, quite greedy. They're basically desires in monster form, wanting more and more until they're completely out of control. I guess that's a good simple way to explain it without getting too deep into the lore...
Now, I think this season's gimmick I will do mainly based on the Greeed? I think this could be interesting!
Possible concept:
- The players are the "Greeed". At the beginning, they either select or get randomly assigned to have one specific stat boost. Defense, speed, strength... Hell, even jump boost if you want! It starts off as level 1 in session 1. But to keep this stat boost alive, you need to be greedy. Collect medals, dropped by any mob in the game, the stronger the mob, the more medals they drop. For the sake of the game, they will naturally deplete over time and there is a max cap of how much you can have at once. The cap will increase every session, but it will also deplete faster each session. And as long as you don't go in the negative, next session your stat boost will increase by one level. Also, if you die, you will lose a bunch of medals at once.
If it drops below 0... You're out of luck, because next session the level will decrease by 1! So, technically, if a player never collects medals, they can go into the negative. So, better choose your boost well! Are you ready to collect a lot of medals to get OP, or would you rather stay back and not have too much of a negative effect?
7) Kamen Rider Gaim
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PEAK.
But, yet another Rider season that- uh- well, in a way, is a battle royale...? Made by the very person who made Madoka Magica after being inspired by Kamen Rider Ryuki. So that's one wild lineup of peak right there.
It's really hard to talk too much in depth about it since it's just, wow. The plot twists and everything just will give you goosebumps from how perfectly and dramatically it's executed 😭
Possible concept:
- There is one special item hidden in the nether, maybe in a fortress or bastion. Let's say, for example, a golden apple. Let's be crazy, why not call it something like the forbidden fruit?? Right??? The players ABSOLUTELY want this golden apple because it gives an incredible stat buff + full netherite armour + weapons for about 2 minutes, basically making it sheer impossible to lose once you have it. The other function it has is that a player could also use it instead to revive another player who permadied before. No matter the use of the apple, it will be gone after.
Now, the catch is this: The player can ONLY eat the apple once two players are left (themselves and someone else). If they try to eat it beforehand, they'll just die and the apple drops where they die. If they die in any way (permadeath or not) while carrying the apple, the apple also gets dropped where they die. Better than having the whole keep inventory off again, this makes it too stressful methinks...
So yeah, basically, you could say this is sort of like a reverse hot potato. Everyone wants the golden apple!
8) Kamen Rider Ex-Aid
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the gaming-themed Kamen Rider season. Well, and medical. Basically, the Riders are doctors that cure the gaming virus more and more people suffer from.
This virus made of videogame characters (called Bugsters) infects people, and if they don't get cured fast enough, they'll die. OR, if the Bugster is stronger, they'll take over this persons body. Kinda similar to dying, just that your corpse is more of a marionette, I guess 🧍‍♂️
The thing here is... There are uh, two slightly insane game masters that want to crush everyone who doesn't abide by their rules or makes bootleg games.
Grian in Wild Life going YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE FUN, THIS IS A PVP SERIES in Wild Life reminded me a bit of that it was very silly 😭😭
There's also the threat of a game called "Kamen Rider Chronicle", which will make everyone who wants to able to turn into a Rider and fight and there can only be one winn- OH GOD DAMN IT HERE WE ARE AGAIN WITH THE BATTLE ROYALES THIS IS ALL JUST THE LIFE SERIES FR
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also it has the bestestestsetset Kamen Rider character evre evrere rvere!!!!!!!!!<3<3<3<3<3<3
Possible concept:
Like with Ryuki, I'll be doing multiple ones here!
- Kamen Rider Chronicle-type game in a way?
Players CAN kill each other, but the main focus is on killing special bosses. (Maybe it's just a big horde of mobs with one ingame boss, maybe a warden or multiple?) Once a player target a boss, this boss HAS to be killed throughout the current session. If they fail, they'll get a death. The very person who puts in the last attack gets an item, some sort of token maybe.
The person with the most tokens after every boss is defeated can summon a final boss with them. But they have to fight it without any help. If they win, they'll gain a great reward in strength.
I could say something like, they'll win this series, but other influences I think go against the concept of the Life Series. I just think it has to be a battle to the death to do it justice, right? If there will be a season without it happening like this, I'll not complain, but I'd rather do my concepts as "close" to the original as possible! Just to clarify that. :]
- More regularly based on the main concept of the show: Every session has a different "minigame" / "objective", and the player who beats it, gets a reward. Similarly to Secret Life, but it's not a secret and everyone can do it!
Possible games (based on Bugster viruses in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, because those are basically games to be cleared to defeat the virus):
> "Salty" inspired. The players have something like a cook off- whoever cooks the most food, wins this session!
(Fun fact: Salty in the show has a snail badrd design. We love snails here in the traffic fandom don't we... Although, calling a snail Salty is a bit ironic-)
> "Aranbura" inspired. Fairly simple: defeat the ender dragon!
> "Revol" inspired. Wave of mobs you can only defeat by shooting at them (any weapon/projectile that you can shoot). BANG BANG SHOOTING!!
> "Motors" inspired. Horse race!!! Or any mob that can race- maybe different rounds with different mobs!
> "Collabos" inspired. Rythm game time! Or maybe easier to do, some sort of Simon Says?
- Something more different, this time directly based on the Bugsters. Let's go again with Team A and Team B. But Team B this time is a smaller one.
Team A are normal players as usual, but Team B are bugsters. They can send mobs (can spawn one mob: zombie, spider, or skeleton every 5 minutes) to attack regular human players and affect them with their virus. There's an indicator on the players' screen when they get infected. Every session a player is infected, they will have one heart less. It only stops once the bugster infecting them dies. The heart reducing caps at 5 hearts, but it probably won't ever last that long anyway.
I think it's better to do it a bit less intense than a player dying if they don't find the bugster in time. Just a bit more of a slight inconvenience and making them more vary of mobs and players around them.
9) Kamen Rider Geats
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I first thought about on how to add Zero-One and Revice, but everything I thought of, I feel like they would be too similar to the boogeyman and Double Life, respectively.
So Geats is next! Now- uh. It's like some sort of mix of Fortnite and Squid Game and Among Us on drugs. BUT I LOVE IT.
This season has something similar to a battle royale- but it's more like- a survival show? It's called the "Desire Grand Prix", because it's all about the desires of people.
And the last surviving Rider gets their wish fullfilled and then the world gets reset with their wish active, until there's a new game and a new winner and it gets reset all over again.
Everyone lives their lives happily after losing their memories- only regaining them after they touch their ID core (what they need to transform into a Rider) presented to them again to join the game once more.
The games can be different, with different modes. Football? Impostor Among us? Save the world? Be the last survivor? You name it!
Once someone dies, they full on die, in every timeline. But when someone gets disqualified (like they lose a game), they'll get sent back to their regular lives but lose all motivation for what once was their dream and forget about it all.
Now, how to implement yet another survival game season... This will definitely be a shorter brainstorm, but I just think Geats would be THE season to incorporate the audience.
Possible concept:
- Watchers influence. After every session, there will be polls about what happens in the next episode!
Also, there will be votes on which players will gain some sort of helping items/abilities!
To be honest, pretty self-explanatory, I don't think there's more to say! Basically, a viewer-interactive season. Hell, maybe even live stream the finale and make viewers decide things in real time!
10) Kamen Rider Gotchard
Tumblr media
GOTCHA‼️
Another card-themed season, but don't worry! No battle royale! It's a full on PokĂŠmon-type season this time.
The protagonists goal is to befriend "Chemies", they are literally PokĂŠmon. Have names of things they represent combined, and when he befriends them, he puts them in cards. He can free them from them again and/or use them to transform and use attacks.
Possible concept:
- Remember the Ryuki contract mobs concept I did? It's quite similar, but not as dangerous for the user. Basically, each session every player can add one mob to befriend. The mobs can't be killed by anything other than red names, for security measures I think its better like this.
The mobs just help the players fight, of course aren't too strong, but will definitely come in clutch with other mobs since they can't be killed! The player can freely summon them or take them back in their inventory (maybe a seperate inventory spot for them), no need or worry to feed them.
11) Kamen Rider Gavv
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey! It is the current running Kamen Rider season! Kamen Rider Gavv, the 39th Kamen Rider season to date, is currently only on episode 16... But there is enough gimmick to make a gimmick!
The protagonist is half human, half alien ("Granute") and his whole Granute side of the family wants him dead. His (human) mother got killed in front of him and turned into a snack (this still sounds so unserious out loud, but she fr got turned into food 😭), after he was locked inside with her for his whole life. He fled to human earth and kills every Granute who endangers humans, because they like to use them for food. At this point he even killed one of his siblings, my guy DOES NOT PLAY AROUND. Yet, he stays silly :3
Also. Uh. He has a second mouth on his stomach, and whenever he eats snacks, uh. He births a little snack based creature that only lives for him to eat through his second mouth, killing them instantly and helping him transform into Kamen Rider Gavv. Those guys are going to snack Valhalla fr. Whenever I try to explain this season I feel so stupid. Like, it's peak, but oh my gosh it is so weird to describe. 😭😭😭
Possible concept:
- Y'know... Kirby...? When Gavv eats something, he gains the power of it in a way. For example, he eats chips and gets a chips-themed Rider form. With swords as sharp as possible, but only from specific angles. Hit the wrong angle and the sword shatters. Great analogy to eating chips and you suddenly bite on them The Wrong Way.
So, it's similar here too: Whatever a player last ate, they gain as a "power". Only foods that don't already have some sort of effect allowed!
Not sure if you can make fitting powers for all the food, so maybe the foods just get assigned random powers and you have to find out along the way! Like that hunger wild card in Wild Life, but in positive!
HONORABLE MENTION/SPECIAL: Kamen Rider Decade + Kamen Rider Zi-O
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So. Both of those are anniversary seasons, revisiting past seasons and worlds (or alternate timelines of them) and using their gimmicks.
Why not a Life Series like this? Every session, an old concept gets dug up again for one episode! Probably better once there are even more seasons, though.
SO YEAH! THAT'S ABOUT IT FOR NOW! Idk if I'll ever do a part 2. Maybe once I've watched more Kamen Rider seasons and think of something new and unique- because there are a lot of seasons, but it is all the same overall concept each time in a way- so you can only do so much without being repetitive- especially translated into a Minecraft series. :D
And if you're curious about Kamen Rider now... (I'd never forget my propaganda), here's my master list of those types of posts, Kamen Rider seasons recommendations for Life Series fans included!

I've been thinking about the fandom for The Arcana, and I have come to the conclusion that it's weird as hell. In my 20+ years participating in online fandom spaces, I've never seen a fandom quite like this one. I've seen drama, sure, but the core of most fandoms is a large community of people who love the same media and come together to celebrate it.
The Arcana fandom is not like that. From the very beginning we're more fractured, more factional, more fragile than most. You just have to look around at all the posts lamenting the death of the fandom every 2 weeks to see that something is really wrong here.
And I think a lot of it has to do with the nature of the canon. I am not saying this to criticize The Arcana, the devs, Dorian, or my fellow fans. I have just noticed that, as a piece of media, this game occupies a very unique space that is reflected in the way its fans interact with canon and with each other.
Welcome to the TED talk ain't none of y'all asked for.
Part of what makes this fandom unique is the evolution of fandom as a whole in the face of new types of media. As gaming becomes more mainstream and games themselves become more complex, the way we engage has necessarily changed in response.
Books/ movies/ shows are slightly more static in terms of canon than video games; canon is what it is and how you interact with what is there is largely to do with who you are. Everyone has the same base material to engage with, and that results in a certain amount of constancy. You can't interact with The Princess Bride in a way that changes the movie, only in ways that change your own perception. There isn't a whole lot of room for OCs without rewriting canon, so fans tend to consume OC-based fiction and art with the assumption that it's likely to be self-insert wish fulfillment fantasy time. That isn't always true, but there is a reason the term Mary Sue was coined.
Otome games and other choice-based video games make a very different fan environment, because the way you interact with canon is completely different. You have to build a character in order to interact with the story, and your choices directly impact your experience of canon.
But most western choice-based games are in the context of a larger RPG universe, e.g. Fallout or Dragon Age. There is a lot more to the story than the romance plot and so there's a lot more world to experience, contextualize, and build upon. There's certainly plenty of unhinged ShepxGarrus erotica, but there's also an abundance of fanworks that engage with the plot, the worldbuilding, and the canon characters with relatively little of the player's character needing to be on the page at all.
By contrast, most otome games that make it to English-speaking fandom spaces are Japanese. The romance is the point, but we also start from a place of wariness of our fellow fans. Because there's a huge difference between "harmless weeb" and "orientalist fetishizing creepo," and you know going in that both ends of the spectrum are possible, there is an amount of caution. We curate our space, looking for the creators who align with our expectations and values before we ever begin to interact.
The Arcana falls in a very unique and odd space because it is an otome, but made by Americans, with an attempt at a diverse fantasy cast. It's intended to be for American/ English-speaking audiences and is marketed as such. But making a romance game in America is challenging. Our way of approaching online media, especially smartphone-accessible media, is super fucked up, right? We are constantly trapped between the dichotomies of moral duty (Must Protect The Children) versus appealing to the customer base (Boom Anime Babes with Tig Ol Bitties). Because this is a mobile game, the developers can't make money if the game is removed from the app store, so they want it to be rated teen at the most. But the enticing bit, the thing that captures a potential fan's attention, is the flirtation and sexy implications. So from the jump they're in a weird space purely because they chose to make a mobile game instead of an indie video game released on Steam or similar.
So now you have an inherently split audience: mature adults who know they're getting into a potentially explicit romance game, and young adults/teens who have grown up in a more insulated internet culture where normal words are replaced with Orwellian doublespeak, like "unalive" and "spicy time".
THEN you add in the fact that the developers tried to build a diverse fantasy world, which is a fantastic idea both from an inclusionary standpoint and a broader audience standpoint. But because they didn't employ any actual sensitivity readers (did they think they didn't need them because fantasy can't have racism? Did they justify it as not being in the budget? Would love to know what's going on there) they fell right into a lot of the classic traps. We've been over these time and again, so I won't get into them here. Suffice to say, there has been Discourse. The presence of those issues means that more experienced fans will see those things and call them out, and that criticism causes even more of a split: the zealous apologists versus the critics. And critics can fall into two further categories: those who love the canon and want to see it do better, and the bitches who just love having something to bitch about.
Unfortunately, this combination means that there are inherently factions to this fandom, with staunchly opposed approaches to the media. So even before you enter a fandom space, it's already wildly fractured simply because of the nature of base canon.
THEN add to that the fact that this game is a dating sim. And to engage with a dating sim, you have to build a character and make choices based on that character. Some people will approach this work as storytelling, and some will approach it as an escapist expression of self. Neither of these ways of engaging with canon is wrong. Enjoying a dating sim as Me But Better is fun and completely valid! Engaging with a dating sim as a storyteller collaborating with the developers is fun and completely valid! But the two approaches are opposed in purpose, and that can make it difficult for the two types of fans to engage with one another's work.
Storytellers will well and truly invest in building a character. They may even build out communities, countries, cultures, and languages to make their world all the richer. They are investing hours of blood, sweat, and tears into Their Craft, pouring themselves into an opus of quality fanwork. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to big feelings. Fan artists and writers may feel underappreciated if all they get out of their hard work is 2 likes and a gif of a wolf making AWOOGA eyes. They may feel that critique of their work is unwarranted, or that there's no point creating if no one will engage.
The romantics will engage with canon and fanwork from the perspective that "this is my fantasy romance time". Their OC isn't so much Original Character as Optimized Characteristics--that is, their perfect self. They are here for wish fulfillment fun times in the relative privacy and anonymity of the internet, and good for them! But that may mean that criticism of canon or their fan work feels excessively personal--it is very hard to detach the ego from the OC when that OC is a projection of your best self. They may view any critique as a personal attack as opposed to a good-faith attempt at engagement or conversation. This can lead to defensiveness, or to leaving the fandom outright if it feels too hostile.
Unfortunately all of these factions cause rifts in the community. This sometimes turns into fandom vigilantism, where people begin to see any fan who doesn't wholeheartedly agree with them as an enemy. I've seen friends experience bullying and cruelty over their OCs and their art. I've seen predators use the isolated nature of the fandom to further isolate and prey upon already vulnerable individuals. I've seen some really shitty stuff.
But I have also seen beautiful community flourish. I've made friends who feel more like family than my actual relatives. I've seen people work through struggles and overcome deliberate attempts to tear us apart, finding forgiveness and friendship along the way. I've seen myself and others grow because of the community and inspiration we found here. And I saw all of that because I found my people. And I hope, Arcana fandom, that the rest of you can find your people too.

The Social Aspect of Online Ludo
One of the charms of playing Ludo online is the social element. You can connect with friends or family members who are far away, or make new friends from around the world. Many platforms also have chat features, allowing players to communicate during games, which adds a fun and interactive element to the experience.
Potential Earnings: What Can You Expect?
The amount of money you can earn playing Ludo online depends on several factors including the stakes, your skill level, and the frequency of your play. Some players play casually and earn modest amounts, while others take it more seriously and can earn substantial sums. It’s important to approach the game with realistic expectations and understand that while you can win money, you can also lose it.
Final Thoughts
Online Ludo games offer a unique blend of nostalgia, fun, and the potential for financial gain. Whether you’re looking to earn a little extra cash or just enjoy the game in a new way, playing Ludo online can be both rewarding and entertaining. Remember to play responsibly, and you may find that this classic game can be much more than just a way to pass the time.

mun ask meme: dash commentary, fanon interpretations, another rpc you're no longer part of
send a number for me to talk about one of the following topics . accepting
1. dash commentary
I'm mostly... Neutral about it, I guess? I don't engage in this practice at all simply because I do not favor rapid-fire / crack interactions (I always felt that being iconless contributed to this, haha - I just prefer asks and threads over this type of activity). What I will add is that participating in dash comm once landed me in one of the very few cases of 'drama' pertaining to roleplay, and I'm just doing fine without reacting to stuff I see.
(Also I think it's complicated to follow - sometimes I just see part of the thing the commentary is about and without context I simply Do Not Get It, so I just keep quiet, haha.)
2. fanon interpretations
I like to see them around! While I am personally canon-compliant to the extent possible with a lot of headcanons to get all the canon stuff together, I do enjoy reading about other's perceptions of certain events/characters or even plotlines. I will say that I am more interested/favor those that are created in a canon vacuum where they just elaborate upon/create things to explain a given canon event or further detail things that are not shown in-game altogether.
I tend not to follow / interact with severely canon-divergent portrayals of certain muses (particularly on my canon blog) if they vastly disagree with something I (as a fan) see differently, haha. This is less common on Melissa, but it has happened with my other blorbos.
The last thing I have to say on the topic is that it's never comfortable when you're in the minority of the fandom - I can vouch for this for both Akiyama and Cid in their fandoms. Going by the tags, I just keep finding stuff from the RGG and FFXVI fandoms that I just cannot agree with and it makes me steer away from the blogs that actively incorporate that in their portrayals (not that it matters now because I'm not active, but shhhh). I won't go in detail and I think everyone has their own space to create their children as they see fit, but sometimes it can be lonely when you feel you're the single one supporting a given take, haha.
3. another rpc you're no longer a part of
I am technically still in a lot of them because Melissa makes my head full of contradictory stuff being fandomless, but I will try to narrow it down to two particularly niche rpcs where I saw certain trends that made me a bit frustrated.
RGG is the first one - I was weirdly surprised by the amount of OCs with RGG verses that appeared to just ignore the franchise dynamics (or even the irl thing, for that matter) by establishing immensely powerful characters that would not fit in a world that is already so ridiculously populated with over the top, invincible types. It was either another criminal lord that could rival the Tojo at a stupidly young age or someone with ties to certain canon muses that would have been affected by the existence of these relatives / connections. It just made me very frustrated because nothing about it felt real (granted I know Kiryu fought tigers inside Osaka-jo with his bare hands and that 'realism' in RGG can be a bit of a stretch but I like to be as close as I can to the sources haha).
Another rpc that surprised me in a way was Path to Nowhere - it didn't really flourish and I imagine it's because the game is very niche and small compared to other gachas, but I truly expected more people to be writing about the game lore and trying to dissect the story. it's one of the greatest things about it, literally every player will tell their friends about how good and insanely well-crafted the storytelling is... And yet I don't see it in the rpc. We got more bits of story added in and I just don't see anything about it being expanded. It felt like a very... Superficial rpc with the exception of a few blogs, and largely inactive, haha. I get that not owning a certain character can lock you out from certain profiles/interrogations, but they're available online. I just... Don't know. For a game that creates such an interesting 20 minutes into the future scenario with superpowers, I find the writers very unwilling to explore the canon we have. I wished people yelled more about their thoughts.

The first of these is Tongits Plus, which stays true to the classic ruleset that players know and love. Using a standard 52-card deck, this version is perfect for purists who appreciate the traditional gameplay mechanics and strategies. To accommodate players of varying expertise and risk tolerance, Tongits Plus features a four-tier system with different entry fees. The middle tier, with an entry fee of 10, is ideal for beginners or casual players looking to enjoy the game without significant financial risk. The senior tier, at 20, offers a step up for those with some experience under their belts. More seasoned players can test their skills in the Superior tier, with an entry fee of 50, while the Master tier, at 200, is reserved for expert players seeking the most challenging opponents and substantial rewards.
For those seeking a fresh twist on the classic game, Tongits Joker introduces an exciting new element. By adding jokers to the standard deck, this version opens up new winning possibilities and strategic options. The unpredictability brought by the jokers adds an extra layer of excitement, challenging even the most experienced players to adapt their strategies. Tongits Joker features a simplified three-level structure, with entry fees of 1, 5, and 10 for the Newbie, Primary, and Middle levels respectively. This makes it accessible to newcomers while still offering a challenge to seasoned players.
Recognizing the fast-paced nature of modern life, GameZone has also developed Tongits Quick, a condensed version of the game perfect for those with limited time. Using a reduced deck of 36 cards and incorporating a joker, this variant offers faster-paced matches that require quick thinking and adaptability. Like Tongits Joker, it features a three-tier system with the same entry fees, accommodating players of different skill levels and time constraints.
The diversity of these game modes ensures that there's a Tongits experience suitable for every player, regardless of their preferences or time constraints. This variety not only keeps the game fresh and engaging but also allows players to develop their skills across different formats.
Beyond the game variations, GameZone offers a secure and reliable platform that houses over 1,000 games, including 47 of their own well-developed interactive titles. These range from adapted local and international card games to classic casino favorites, providing a comprehensive gaming experience for users.
What sets GameZone apart, however, is its commitment to rewarding players. The platform regularly hosts events and tournaments, such as the current Tongits event, which allows players to participate for free after registration. As part of their Tongits Christmas Bonanza celebration, GameZone is even giving away daily motorcycles, with top-ranked players each day receiving a new Yamaha Mio Gravis.
Perhaps the most exciting opportunity for players is the Super Jackpot, GameZone's grandest promotion to date. By placing a bet of at least 1 peso within the platform, players have a chance to win a million pesos. This life-changing opportunity adds an extra thrill to the gaming experience, turning every spin of the wheel into a potential millionaire-making moment.
These promotions are just the tip of the iceberg. GameZone also offers VIP programs, rebates, and community rewards, all designed to enhance the user experience and keep players coming back for more.
For those who grew up playing offline Tongits game, GameZone offers a way to reconnect with their favorite pastime in a new and exciting format. For younger players, it's an opportunity to discover and appreciate a game that has been cherished by generations of Filipinos. And for everyone, it's a chance to be part of a thriving online community united by their love for this classic card game.
The transition from offline to online gaming brings numerous advantages. Players can now enjoy Tongits app offline anytime, anywhere, without the need for physical cards or a dedicated playing space. The digital format also eliminates the possibility of cheating or disputes over rules, as the game's mechanics are built into the software. Furthermore, the online platform allows players to connect with opponents from all over the country, or even internationally, expanding the pool of potential competitors and fostering a wider community of Tongits enthusiasts.
GameZone's approach to digitalizing Tongits offline also addresses one of the key challenges in online gaming: maintaining the social aspect that makes card games so enjoyable. Through features like in-game chat and multiplayer options, players can still experience the camaraderie and friendly competition that are hallmarks of the traditional Tongits multiplayer offline experience.
Whether you're a seasoned player looking to test your skills against a wider pool of opponents, a casual gamer seeking a quick and engaging pastime, or a newcomer curious about this beloved Filipino card game, GameZone's Tongits offerings have something for everyone. The combination of traditional gameplay, innovative variations, and exciting rewards creates a compelling package that's hard to resist.
In conclusion, GameZone's digitalization of Tongits represents a significant milestone in the evolution of Filipino gaming culture. By successfully bridging the gap between tradition and technology, they've ensured that this beloved card game will continue to be enjoyed by generations to come. As the platform continues to grow and evolve, it's clear that the future of Tongits—and indeed, of Filipino gaming as a whole—is in good hands. So why not join the fun and become part of this exciting digital revolution? The cards are waiting, and the next game is just a click away.

For the Patty stay-at-home dad AU, yeah I love the idea of Patty's injuries stopping him from going pro and then him disconnecting from the game because it hurt too much to follow it. Part of the reason why Pat pushes VK so hard to keep playing and supports him during his highs and lows is because he lives vicariously through VK. Being the person who gets to witness and be part of VK's brilliant career makes him feel kinda sorta better about not having a career of his own.
Since irl Pat has a business degree, maybe he's at college when he meets VK? At college, but not college aged? Like, Patty initially drops out of schooling to pursue professional sports, maybe even gets a state or international debut, then he's plagued by injuries. By the time he's 23/24, he's told he can no longer play professionally if he wants to take care of his body. So then Pat half-heartedly returns to college to pursue a business degree, thinking he can do something aligned with sports instead, maybe handling the business part of sports. But his heart isn't really in it.
I like Pat and VK meeting at a match! Do you think Pat knows about/has heard of VK prior to meeting him? And how does their first meeting go?
Honestly, either way works for how they get Shub and Yash imo. The idea of VK finding them at an orphanage and immediately wanting to adopt them is great! And I also love the idea of Shub and Yash being Pat's children biologically if they opt for surrogacy. Maybe they go for an Indian surrogate to keep the Indian genes intact? Do you reckon Shubman and Yashasvi are twins or is Shub older? Also, you think VK would feel a bit upset and sad if they went for surrogacy, because he can't participate in the process?
Yeah, I can see Shub and Yash, especially when they're babies, always wanting to spend time with VK, and throwing tantrums whenever he's not with them, which is often. As kids, they just see all their peers being constantly around their omega parents while the alpha parent is largely absent, and they're confused why the situation is reversed in their house. After Yash throws a huge tantrum, crying and throwing things, and refusing to eat unless VK puts him to sleep, and VK has to show up from halfway across the world just to do so, both of them are so drained.
After that, I can see VK feebly suggesting to Pat that, "I should give up my career. It's not fair to the children to spend so much time away from them, and it's not fair to thrust the responsibility of them entirely onto you. I'm not around the kids as much as I want to be because of cricket. Maybe it really is time to hang up my shoes, once and for all. I've achieved enough anyways, and there are many good players who can take place. And I've earned enough to ensure our next three generations are well provided for without having to lift a finger. So money isn't an issue either."
And Pat shouts him down like, "You're only 31 yet, you have many years left in you. You're the fittest cricketer out there, you could play past 40 if you want to. The kids will understand as they grow up why you can't be always around, and then they'll be proud of you."
Plus I think he understands and appreciates how hard VK has had to work to get those accolades, considering he's omega. No way would he ask him to give that up.
Oh yeah I like that. And maybe his parents were against him dropping out because 'what will you have if your cricket fails?'. Maybe Pat's dad hires him into the family business or something? but he's not gonna give him any handouts (for that, Pat is maybe 20ish when he gives up cricket, 23/24 when he meets VK).
I thinkPat will be as disconnected as possible from cricket when he can't go pro, it's only through Mitch he has any idea about what's going on. Mitch literally begs him to come to the match he comes to, and Pat is really begrudged to come. He's about to leave when this little whippet of an omega strides out to the crease like he owns the place, and Pat finds himself very intrigued.
Maybe then we do one for one? Shub is adopted from the orphanage VK visits first, then they surrogate and get Yash? Then we can play both sides of the coin and the two will be about 3-4 years apart (I like an age difference).
I also see Shub being way more OK with their non-conventional family dynamic, it's Yash who has the slight issue with his alpha parent being the stay-at-home one. And he gets picked on a lot for that which is why he starts acting out. Shub tries to calm Yash down but it never works so he starts just staying out of it.
Pat would be very happy to give up his career; it's something he's forced into anyway and he gets no joy out of it. VK totally would consider giving up cricket for the kids, which is when Pat starts flying them to more and more matches and they all start travelling together.

Is The Impact Player Rule Unfair?
Tumblr media
The Indian Premier League's (IPL) 2025 season is quickly coming, and fans are eager to see what their favorite league has in store. The dominance of bat over ball during the previous season may have delighted some, but it alarmed most who were concerned about the format's survival. Batsmen became insane hitters who could move the ball anywhere they pleased and converted the live scorecard into a stopwatch in an unprecedented moment in IPL history. The Impact Player Rule, which permitted a 12-man team on each side rather than an 11-man team, was held responsible by cricket analysts and experts for this destruction. In other words, they were essentially playing with six bat and six ball specialists, which negated the need for an all-round player. Numerous well-known individuals, like Axar Patel and Rohit Sharma, have voiced their concerns over the rule's introduction and the potential harm it could do to our players' performance on the international stage.
Understanding the Impact Player Rule
The Impact Player Rule was one of the most talked-about subjects in the India cricket news recently. The cricketing world has been responding to the Impact Player rule in the Indian Premier League, which Indian captain Rohit Sharma has publicly condemned for its detrimental consequences on Indian cricket. Teams can substitute a player in their starting lineup at any time during the match according to the impact player rule, which was introduced in the IPL last year. Teams can switch up their lineup to chase down runs by substituting a batsman for a bowler, or vice versa if they are batting first. Nonetheless, many now think that the Impact Player rule is mostly to blame for the very high-scoring trend this season. The rule has caused problems for coaches and players, and there are differing views on whether it should be kept in place.
The impact player rule was introduced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the 2023 Indian Premier League with the goal of encouraging more Indian players to participate and reducing the gap between the teams to make the matches more exciting. Since the Impact Player rule was implemented, there have been numerous discussions among cricket players, fans, and experts. According to the rule, teams can switch players in the middle of a game which adds a new tactical element to the game. It has brought fresh perspectives, but it also presents a distinct set of challenges. Furthermore, the benefits and drawbacks of the Indian Premier League's "Impact Player" provision were long hidden.
The Advantages and Disadvantages
The obvious advantages of the rule are the tactical flexibility it gives to the teams and the opportunities given to the youngsters. Matches may become more exciting and unpredictable with the surprise element added by the Impact Player rule. Fans are kept on the edge of their seats as they wait to see which player will be introduced and how they will impact the game. In the event of unanticipated injuries, teams may find the Impact Player rule to be quite beneficial. It allows them to replace an injured player with a suitable replacement, keeping the squad in balance. The major drawback of the regulation is that it almost eliminates the need for an all-rounder. This undermines every attempt the teams made to present a fair side during the auctions. The Impact Player has made it possible for teams without all-around talents to add bowlers and specialized hitters to their lineups. This might be the sole reason for its discontinuation from the next cricket match onwards.

5 Essential Things You Need to Know About Financial Markets to Succeed
Welcome to Wall Street 101, where we break down the complexities of the financial markets in a way that feels less like a textbook and more like a conversation over coffee. So, let’s dive right in. First off, what is Wall Street? Sure, it’s a street in New York City’s Financial District, but it’s so much more than that. It’s the beating heart of the U.S. financial markets, where giants like the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ reside. When people talk about Wall Street, they’re not just talking about a location; they’re referring to the entire ecosystem of finance that influences economies around the globe. Now, who are the key players on Wall Street? Think of investment banks like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan as the matchmakers of the financial world. They facilitate buying and selling of securities, orchestrate IPOs, and even play a role in mergers and acquisitions. Then we have hedge funds—these are like the high-stakes poker players of the market, pooling money from investors to make big, often aggressive trades. And let’s not forget brokerage firms like Charles Schwab and E*TRADE, which empower everyday investors to buy and sell securities, giving you the tools to play in this big league. But how does the stock market actually work? It starts with the basics: stocks, bonds, commodities, and derivatives. Stocks are essentially pieces of ownership in a company. When you buy a stock, you’re hoping that its value will increase over time. Bonds are like loans you give to corporations or governments, usually considered safer but with lower returns. Commodities are the physical goods like gold or oil that you can trade, while derivatives are contracts that derive their value from something else, like options or futures. It sounds complicated, but it’s all about understanding how these elements interact. When you place a buy or sell order through a broker, you’re participating in a dance of price movements driven by supply and demand. If everyone wants a piece of a particular stock, its price goes up. If interest wanes, down it goes. To keep track of how the market is performing, we look at market indexes like the S&P 500 or the Dow Jones Industrial Average. These benchmarks give us a snapshot of market health and investor sentiment. Now, let’s talk about the types of investors. Retail investors are the everyday folks like you and me, putting our hard-earned money into stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. Then there are institutional investors—think pension funds and insurance companies—who have massive pools of capital to invest. Day traders are the adrenaline junkies, buying and selling within the same day to capitalize on quick price movements, while long-term investors take a more patient approach, holding onto their investments for years, seeking growth over time. Investment strategies vary widely. Value investing is all about hunting for undervalued stocks with strong fundamentals. Growth investing focuses on companies expected to grow at an above-average rate. Index investing involves putting your money into funds that track major indexes, while dividend investing is about finding stocks that pay regular dividends, providing that sweet passive income. However, investing isn’t without its risks. Market risk is the chance that your investments could lose value during a downturn. Credit risk involves the possibility of bond issuers defaulting on payments, and liquidity risk is the challenge of selling an asset quickly without losing money. Analysts play a crucial role in this world. Buy-side analysts work for investment firms, advising on what securities to buy, while sell-side analysts provide recommendations to clients from brokerage firms. Their insights can make or break investment decisions. So there you have it, Wall Street 101 in a nutshell. It may seem daunting, but at its core, it’s about understanding how money flows, how businesses grow, and how we, as individuals, can navigate this intricate web of finance. With a little knowledge, you can feel empowered to step into the world of investing, armed with the tools to make informed decisions. Welcome aboard!

Shortly after the death of Aurelius Hathor, the world receives yet another urgent report. This time it's the councilman of Finland found dead in his home country. Like the rest of murders, he was burned alive by the sun and his ring was found in his ashes.
Word of this incident quickly spreads with the council receiving these details immediately from the Finnish councilman's distraught assistant. Council meetings have proven ineffective in everyone finding common ground.
From our council scribe's notes, some councilmen believe that this is an embarrassment, that this could have been avoided if the fallen elders hadn't gone soft or dropped their guard. Others are quick to point fingers at anyone –– individual or group of species –– they can think of with no real connections to the deaths. At this point it's all speculation until they receive any intel from the investigations they've conducted.
Once again, a council meeting has been called to discuss the latest news. One thing is for certain that this is definitely the work of an assassin –– or a group of them –– looking to take out the council. And they seem to be getting closer and closer to Krovs Castle...
OOC INFO / PLAY DYNAMICS
Players can use this information in threads moving forward if they'd like to, however, it's not required. We encourage council characters to join our #council-meetings discussion in Discord that will be prompted by an admin shortly and share their thoughts, opinions, and feelings on this incident.
This will be the last post as part of our setup. Our plot drop will soon enter into Krovs Castle for all of our player characters to actively take part in. All Vampire Council characters will be participating by default. Players can expect their council characters to face individual interactions with this assassin –– although when that happens for each will be chosen by the admins. Please ensure that all accounts have their inboxes open for the main to send asks with these encounters. Players should NOT be rping any attacks on their council characters without an encounter sent from the admins.
Once a council member has been attacked on Krovs property, these characters have the option to accuse any other player character for the attack. Each council member has ONE formal accusation they can make, although they can also choose not to accuse anyone. Council characters can only use their accusation AFTER they've been attacked and they should have enough evidence to back their claims (i.e., having a personal history with the character they're accusing, the character obviously not being in the castle at the time of any of the council deaths, the character blatantly being anti-vampire, etc.). The more evidence against a character, the better chance the accuser will have convincing the rest of the council that the character is "guilty." These discussions will take place in a council meeting format in our Discord channel each time a council member receives an attack interaction. Council characters can either argue in favor or against the characters accused however they feel and will ultimately decide the accused characters' fates.
All non-council characters in our group can only be accused ONCE. This is to ensure that every player has a chance to be involved as much as they possibly can. This plot is available for any character played in Krovs, regardless of species or role, to be played out. Characters also don't need to be genuinely guilty either to be accused. Once a character has been accused and if the majority of the council agrees on it, the accused character will be brought into the council meeting and effectively put on "trial" to defend themselves and the council will vote whether they think they're guilty or not. Keep in mind that IF a character is declared guilty by the council, they will have a power negating collar placed around their neck, locked in one of the Krovs Town prison cells, and scheduled for a public execution. Characters will not actually be put to death (unless a player requests this as a plot).
Players who have already pre-plotted out their accusations should consider leaving some "clues" mentioned in any new threads. Depending on how "guilty" players would like their character to look, the more "evidence" written on the dash to draw suspicion, the better.
Any player who would like to have their character formally accused by a council member looking for a guaranteed "guilty" verdict MUST reach out to the admins for approval. These plots also MUST have a councilman guaranteed to accuse the character and a sufficient amount of evidence against the character being accused. The admins will initiate these plots in the order that they've been received by attacking the respective councilman that will be accusing the character. Council characters without an assigned character to accuse are open to accusing anyone who hasn't already been accused before by a council member without a pre-planned plot approved by the admins. These "random accusations" can target anyone and can result in either an innocent or guilty verdict, depending on how well the characters make their cases. Pre-plotted council attacks/accusations will be assigned in order received; players should start plotting these now and speak to an admin about them no later than next Friday (4/21) so that we can organize everything over the weekend. Any characters not tied to a specific accusation/attack plot will occur randomly at admin discretion.
Discord vs. dash. All related threads to the plot drop between characters should take place on tumblr's dash, per our rules. The ONLY interactions happening on discord will be council meetings, accusations, and trials, which will all be summarized by our council scribe to release as newsletters on our main as this plot drop goes on. We encourage players to mention these events in new threads after they've happened in Discord too.
Non-council characters also have other ways of getting involved in this plot drop outside of accusations. Some ideas include but are not limited to: guards or police officers doing their jobs in protecting or investigating into a certain character, gathering their own evidence either for or against accused characters, and arriving on the scene of attacks; characters simply discussing the events happening in threads; magic staff members in Krovs Castle offering their services for the council or other masters; those advanced or experts in the school of divination can also receive varying visions (please ask an admin first!); other characters finding injured councilmen. Players are free to discuss ideas with other players and admins and get as creative so that everyone has fun with this! Those looking to investigate can always reach out to an admin in hopes of receiving some insight into these attacks and finding suspects. We recommend paying close attention to each attack on the councilman so characters can guess who the real assassin could be based on the information provided.
We also want to note that activity will be important in this plot drop! The longer we have to wait for a councilman to post their attack from their inbox, the more this delays plots and the overall arc happening here. Players will be given 72 hours to post their attack when received from the main before the admins move onto the next character on our list. We will do our best to send these attacks at convenient times for our players and work with their schedules.
Please keep an eye out on the #krovscastleplot tag and our Discord OOC as this plot drop progresses for attacks on our lovely councilmen and scribe notes. Any questions regarding plots and how this plot drop will work can be sent either directly to an admin or in the #questions channel in our Discord OOC.
We hope you all enjoy! :)

5 comfort characters & 5 tags
Thank you @sonderlativ for the tag
Tumblr media
#1 - Varis zos Galvus (Final Fantasy XIV)
Many of my favorite characters are not necessarily comforting. I do not handle character death exceptionally well. After being brutally emotionally tortured by Blizzard for years as they slowly and agonizingly character assassinated and killed off a character I loved (who at the time was a comfort character, helping me recover from another character death), I was left unable to get attached to anyone.
Enter Varis.
I remember finishing the ARR MSQ and seeing him show up and thinking “ooh the new emperor is really attractive…” and that was kind of fun. I hadn’t experienced that sort of instant pull to a character in quite some time. It still took an act of will to allow myself to actually get attached to him. And then, after some agonizing, I decided to ship my player character, Aurelien, with him. This was the most self-indulgent thing I had ever allowed myself to do.
He also got me back into drawing after a multi-year hiatus. If anyone wants to see some random shipping pics, they can be found here.
He’s a serious, dedicated, deeply flawed person, and I love him immensely. Also, his relationship with my OC is possibly the only ‘healthy’ relationship I have ever written.
Tumblr media
#2 - Millions Knives (Trigun)
This will come as a surprise to (probably) no one who is following me here.
So I’d been having a pretty difficult time and was struggling a lot. I’d pretty much given up on being alive and was just mindlessly counting down the days.
Then my best friend suggested we give Trigun Stampede a try. I was skeptical, because reboots often burn me and Trigun was something I loved from my childhood, but I figured if it sucked we could hit the bricks.
When Knives showed up and announced his presence by playing the piano, I completely lost my mind. I instantly felt something I had not felt in SO LONG. I regained the will to live. I felt EXCITED to be alive again.
I really tried to fight it for a few days, but I couldn’t. I gave myself an undercut. I smiled uncontrollably at any mention of anything even tangentially related to him. Hearing a single note from a piano made me feel like I was going to faint from joy. Finally, I confessed to my best friend that I was deeply obsessed.
The reason he does not make the number 1 spot is because this fixation has come with some serious emotional upheaval, as I evaluate some of my unresolved issues that I see reflected in him. And also, Varis is such a minor character that I just didn’t see that much negativity about him. Knives is in the spotlight a lot more, so it can be more challenging to just casually indulge without running into people who hate him.
No one has to like him and I can see why some people wouldn’t, but he brought me back to life and sometimes I just want to be able to feel happy about that.
[Honorable mention here goes to Legato for helping me through my Knives-based angst when it comes around. He was my favorite from Trigun in my youth and one of two characters I built a character shrine for (if anyone remembers those).]
Tumblr media
# 3 - Erwin Smith (Attack on Titan)
This one is a bit more obscure in its reasoning. Levi was actually my favorite character in Attack on Titan, but I wrote this figure skating/hockey AU where Erwin is arguably the best figure skater in the world and, just before he can prove this in competition, he gets injured and has to give up his dream.
Years later, a bitter and aimless Erwin discovers Levi, who is participating in underground murder hockey tournaments, and decides to take him under his wing. Erwin regains his sense of purpose. Levi stops risking life and limb on a daily basis. And I got insanely attached to Erwin while working on this crazy AU.
There was a comic I was working on for the prologue for it, but I only got 3 and a half pages in, because I couldn’t figure out how to render the climactic scene. (for those interested: pg 1, pg 2, pg 3)
Tumblr media
#4 - Yuri Plisetsky (Yuri!!! on Ice)
I swear I don’t exclusively like angry blondes…
But I might (almost) exclusively have them as comfort characters.
Yuri on Ice is in general one of my comfort shows. I’ve loved figure skating since forever, so an anime about figure skating was a dream come true! It doesn’t hurt that the main characters are adorable.
But this mega grouch was my favorite. He is angry and standoffish, but really soft on the inside. And he’s an incredible skater. What more could I ask for?
(Everyone should brace themselves for the potential that everyone on this list will be drawn skating at some point, if they haven’t been already)
Tumblr media
#5 - Malokh Skullsplitter & Auralion Duskwither (World of Warcraft)
So these two are OCs. As such, I don’t have any great color pictures of them. I started coloring this one, but it’s stuck on a tablet that needs fixing. All of my other pictures of these two are even more outdated, so this will have to do.
I haven’t played WoW in ages and am not sure I ever will again, but I still love my characters dearly.
Aura is a Blood Elf shadow priest. Malokh is an Orc warrior.
Anyway, Auralion has been my absolute favorite OC for about… 13+ years now? Like everyone else on this list, he is an angry blonde. He’s also a (very slightly) older twin. When I don’t have a current obsession, I draw/write stuff about him. This is not his proper hair. This is his hair growing back after he was nearly incinerated. Here is a picture of how his hair normally looks.
While Aura embodies a lot of my struggles and I channel a lot of my angst into him, Malokh embodies a lot of the things I feel like I need. It’s about to get kind of personal here so feel free to skip to the end…
As a little kid, I had the misfortune of simultaneously finding out that death was a thing and that it could be violent and terrible, and I never felt safe again. My parents comforted me by telling me that I was not important enough to murder, and my takeaway was “these people won’t and can’t defend me.” So I decided I would be the person to defend the family. I became a very aggressive, very cruel person because I didn’t feel safe unless I was the worst person in the room.
But really, all I wanted was for someone to say they would protect me.
Malokh embodies all the things I wanted as a kid. He is fiercely loyal, compassionate, intelligent, patient, and he would absolutely wreck anyone who threatened the people he loves.
I have loved orcs since I was a little kid and first played the original Warcraft RTS game. There was something very comforting to me about being so big and strong that you didn’t really have to be afraid of humans.
I ship him and Aura in the red quadrant (because I do Homestuck style shipping for some of my OCs).
And Malokh has black hair, so he breaks the pattern!
Anyway, tagging: @skuppycake, @dragonofeternal, @evilgeometry, @setsuntamew, @arahith
No pressure if anyone does not want to do this or doesn’t have time! I tried to message everyone to make sure it was okay, but I am not sure if all of the messages got through. I was getting a lot of ‘message not sent’ errors and lately when I try to comment on posts it takes multiple tries for anything to show up.

“Chishiya, I think I’m pregnant.”
The statement hit the young man like a thousand knives. He stood up on the roof of the hotel, the moon reflecting off his glowing skin. You stared at his side profile, waiting for his reaction to the news, but he merely sighed and tucked a piece of his bleached hair behind his ears. “How do you know?”
“I’ve been throwing up a lot, without even feeling nauseated at first. It just suddenly hits and I have to run to the bathroom,” you began listing your symptoms to back your claim. “I also have been a lot more tired, going to bed super early and waking up super late. As well as my period hasn’t come yet, and it’s been a week since it was due.”
You still kept your eyes on Chishiya, trying to figure out how he was feeling. His emotions hardly ever come through his body language. He seemed too calm for your liking, but you couldn’t exactly tell because you weren’t able to see his eyes.
“It is mine?” he asked, turning to you with a serious expression. Your eyes widened in shock. “Whose else would it be Chishiya?” you exclaimed, shoving his shoulder in disbelief.
Chishiya smirked and looked away from you again. “Just making sure.”
“Do you want to keep it?”
The question took Chishiya off guard. “That’s not my choice to make,” he said.
“Yeah but if it were?” you pressed, sliding along the railing until your sides were touching. Chishiya went quiet for a few minutes, thinking about his answer. “I would hate to bring a baby into this world if I’m being totally honest,” he started. “But it’s not like we have a choice.”
You nodded and laid your head on his shoulder, feeling safe and sound against his warmth and scent. He laid his cheek on top of your head and sighed heavily.
“What are we going to do Chishiya? We’re too young to be parents, let alone in a world like this.” You felt your eyes start to water but tried your best to hold in your cries. You were terrified. Not only would you have to go through nine months of pregnancy, you would also have to play games in order to keep your visa valid.
“Hey,” you heard Chishiya say. “Don’t worry about it. We’ll push through this together. And I’ll make sure I’m here with you every step of the way.”
His words made you smile sadly, and droop your head down into your hands. You cried softly as Chishiya rubbed your back in a comforting manner.
It would be tough, impossible even. But the both of you had each other, and that’s all you needed to push through.
***********
Ever since that evening on the roof with Chishiya when you told him about the baby, he had acted strangely since.
He had lost his cocky and smug personality, being replaced by a cautious and anxious type of behaviour. You began to feel worried about him, because it was so out of character.
It didn’t go unnoticed by other members of The Beach either. Although you hadn’t told anyone else about the news (wanting to keep it between you and Chishiya), you found yourself being confronted by a lot of people asking if Chishiya was okay.
Ann mentioned that during a meeting he rushed out suddenly, not even stopping to say where he was going or why. You reassured her that he was fine, and that the stress of the games may have just started getting to his head a bit.
It was like you were suddenly dating a whole different person. There wasn’t a moment where he wasn’t by your side, always asking if you needed anything or that you were okay. He’d refuse to let you do the smallest of things, liking lifting heavy objects or even dancing in the crowd at night. There were times you would have to reason with him and remind him that you weren’t helpless, and you were basically only a few weeks pregnant, and he was acting like you were eight months. He always shrugged it off though and argued back that he just felt overwhelmed, so he wanted to try his best to be the best partner he could be during the stressful time.
But when push came to shove and you had to participate in games to renew your visa, Chishiya always insisted that he went with you. Even if you said no and tried to convince him that you would be fine, he refused to listen. You didn’t have a chance when trying to reason with his stubbornness.
*************
You had decided to participate in a game a few days earlier than when your visa would expire so you wouldn’t have the stress of having to rush to one on the night it expired. As well as you had been feeling okay for the past few hours and you didn’t want to lose the opportunity of clearing a game when you were at your best instead of being forced to play one on one of your worse days.
When you told Chishiya your plan, you ended up having a small argument. Chishiya thought it was unreasonable for you to put yourself in danger when it could be prevented, as well as he felt anxious due to you not being able to perform to the best of your ability because you were holding your child.
But after you both calmed down after realizing that arguing would get you nowhere, you both decided to go to the game that night, as long as Chishiya was able to come with you.
The game was simple enough. It was a six of clubs. Each player had to find an area of the building to stay put in no more than groups of three. You were able to move around these small areas, but once the game started and you were inside one, you were not permitted to leave your area. There were four seekers, each with a different animal mask on their heads. Each area in the building also represented one of the seeker’s animals. The goal was to kill the seeker that had the animal corresponding to your area. So the players would have to create a way to lure the seeker’s to their position, but if they lure the wrong one, they would have to hide until they left.
To clear the game, players would have to kill all four of the seekers. But if they failed to do so in the time limit, flames would emerge from the ground of all areas, killing all the remaining players.
In the registration room, Chishiya kept a firm grip on your arm, making you stay close to him. There were two tables, one holding the usual phones for the players, but the other was covered with a variety of hand-held weapons, scattered across the top of it.
Chishiya strolled over to the weapon table and scanned the dangerous objects. He reached to a moderately sized blade and felt it in his hand before turning to you and holding it out, wanting you to take it.
“Here, you have this one. If we happen to get separated and you come across one of the seekers, give them a short jab to the throat with this. I have my taser to defend me.”
“We won’t get separated, we have designated areas.”
Chishiya looked directly in your eyes and sighed, placing a hand on your head. “You know what I mean.”
You hung your head low. He was meaning if he was to die. “Don’t you dare die on me now Chishiya. If you do anything reckless, you bet your stupid ass I will make sure you survive this game just so I can kill you later.”
Chishiya chuckled at your threat, allowing you to see his shiny teeth in a smile. He knew that if there would be a point that you were in any kind of potential danger, he would throw himself in front of you. His life wasn’t worth as much as yours or his child’s, to him at least.
Around ten minutes later, you both sat in a dark room that had a large painting of a wedge-tailed eagle across one of the walls. You both already assumed that was the seeker you were trying to attract. You came up with the plan to wait a short while before starting to attract the eagle’s attention, because then other people may have already killed their seeker, making it less of a chance for a different animal to come find you.
You both sat in silence on the uncomfortable couch that had springs and stuffing pouring out of it. It was the only piece of furniture in the room, so there wasn’t really anywhere else to wait.
You groaned as a short stab of pain shot through your lower abdomen, making Chishiya snap his head to you and place a soft hand over your arm that held your stomach area. “Are you okay? What’s wrong?”
You waved your hand in front of you. “It’s fine, just a cramp.”
Chishiya sighed in relief and rubbed your back soothingly. You swore you could hear his heartbeat through his chest, thumping against his ribcage rapidly. He was terrified, but he sure knew how to hide it from you.
You both sat in silent together, your head leaning against Chishiya’s chest as he stroked your head softly, trying to keep your nerves down. “How are we going to keep this up Chishiya?” you asked out of the blue. Chishiya hummed in acknowledgement. “I don’t know, we’ll just take one step at a time.”
The situation was overwhelming for you. With the mix of the fear of dying, your stomach cramps, Chishiya’s comforting voice and the eerie atmosphere, you couldn’t help but feel tears of stress start developing in your eyes. Before you could even get the chance to wipe them away, a sudden sob erupted from your throat, making you cover your mouth and push your face further into Chishiya’s chest.
“Aw no, don’t cry,” Chishiya cooed, wrapping his arms around your torso and holding you close. “We’re going to be fine. Trust me,” Chishiya pulled back and held your teary face in his palms. “As long as I’m here, nothing’s going to hurt you.”
You smiled at his promise, leaning into his touch on your cheek, making his face glow slightly pink.
As you and Chishiya stayed huddled close together and spoke in whispered tones, you froze as you began to hear a small noise just outside the door of the room.
Chishiya didn’t seem to hear it, and he kept talking. “Shh!” you said, cutting him off. He frowned at you and followed your gaze to the large, grey door that stood opposite to your position on the couch.
Silence filled the air as you both tried hard to listen. The tension in the room was making you almost suffocate.
“I think there’s someone outside.” you stated, standing up from your position and slowly beginning to shuffle along the floor towards the door. But Chishiya rushed after you and pulled you back before your hand could touch the door handle.
“What are you doing?!” he whisper-yelled, turning you towards him by moving your shoulders. You blinked at him, confused. “What do you mean? We need to kill it!”
“But we don’t know if it’s the eagle or not. It’s better if we hide until we’re sure it’s the one we have to kill.”
“We haven’t got time! We have less than five minutes to finish the game, so the chance of the eagle being the only one left is quite likely.”
“You don’t know that. And we aren’t even sure whether they carry weapons or not. It’s too high of a risk, and I’m not letting you put yourself in danger like that, especially when you’re pregnant with our child.”
“For fucks sake Chishiya! I’m not defenseless!”
Your yells became louder and louder with each argumentative statement, which eventually gave away your position to the seeker that stood just outside the door.
Just as you were about to rip away from Chishiya’s grip on your shoulder when you heard the large door creak open. You both turned around abruptly at the sound and laid on your eyes on a tall figure with an eagle mask covering his face. In his hand he held a small machine gun, making Chishiya’s stomach drop at the sight of it.
“Y/N!”
He grabbed your shoulders once again as you stood there in shock, not being able to move. Chishiya yelled as he pulled you roughly further into the room towards another small door that led to a closet. A few rounds of bullets shot around the room, illuminating the small space for a few short milliseconds and making the both of you develop a piercing ringing noise in your ears.
Chishiya pulled you against him as you struggled, pushing you against the wall with him in front of you, shielding you from the seeker. As he did so, he ripped the small closet door open beside you and shoved you inside, panicking and trying to get you to safety as soon as possible.
You fell to the floor of the closet, a small groan leaving your mouth as you hit the ground harshly. You were about to stand up again to push yourself out to help Chishiya, but he kicked you down before you had the chance. Your eyes landed on his, filled with frustration, but they softened as they saw the waterfalls cascading down his face.
“Please,” he choked out, putting the door behind him so the seeker can’t shoot him from the back. “For once in your life just listen to me and stay in here. Please don’t come out.”
That’s all he said before he stepped around the closet door and slammed it shut. The absolute fear and sadness on his face was burnt into your mind. You had never seen Chishiya hold such dreadful emotion on his features. It made you feel awfully guilty for picking a fight with him.
You finally came to your senses, the ringing in your ears faded and the gunshots just outside the door made your head spin. You sobbed and covered your ears with your hands, trying to block out the sounds. Your stomach churned and groaned, and you suddenly felt the urge to throw up.
You lunged forward from your sitting position on the floor and emptied the contents of your stomach on the tiled ground, coughing and gagging on the putrid smell and taste of it in your mouth.
“Fuck,” you mumbled out, rubbing your eyes to clear the tears dripping from them.
Something shifted in the pocket of your jeans, making you turn your head and place a hand over the object. Reaching in, you hissed as a sharp blade slightly cut your finger. You pulled it out gently and held it in front of you.
It was the blade Chishiya gave you at the start of the game.
“I can’t abandon him. My last words to him can’t be an argument,” you rasped out, putting a hand to your chest to recover your breathing. “I’m not going to let him die. He can’t escape being a father that easily.”
Slowly you lifted yourself up onto your feet, using the shelves in the closet as leverage. You shuffled towards the door, holding your blade out in front of you, ready to attack if you needed. You weren’t thinking straight, at that moment you didn’t even think about the fact that the seeker had a gun, all you could think about was Chishiya.
You slowly pressed down on the door handle, opening it carefully in case the seeker was still in the room. It was back to it’s darkness, making your heart drop lower.
You stepped out around the door. It was eerily quiet, making you become anxious. Something must have happened. It wouldn’t be this quiet if Chishiya and the seeker were still fighting.
A sudden wet feeling on your foot broke you from your thoughts and you glanced down to see a dark liquid seeping into your shoe. You leaned down to look at it more closely, noticing how a strong metallic smell filled your nostrils as you did so.
It was blood, but whose blood was it?
Your breathing began to quicken as you started panicking. It was a large puddle, there was no way Chishiya would survive if he got injured that badly.
“Chishiya!” you yelled out, hearing nothing but your own echo answering you. You held no care for being heard by the potentially still alive seeker at that moment. All you wanted was to find Chishiya.
“Chishiya, please!” You lifted your feet and rushed to the grey door where the seeker originally came from. It was slightly ajar and a light from the hallway outside was shining through into the room.
You pushed through the door, almost tripping over in the process. Further up the hall, two people laid on the ground. One was on their back with no movement while the other was leant up against the wall clutching their shoulder.
The injured one wore a white hoodie, making you immediately recognize them as your partner.
“Oh my god, Chishiya.” you whispered as you approached him, eyes locking on the large blood stain on his white hoodie. “Y/N, I told you to stay in the room,” he groaned out.
You placed a hand against his that held his wound, trying to keep pressure on it to lessen the bleeding. “I couldn’t. I wasn’t going to let you die that easy.”
He smiled up at you, a pained expression on his face as he hissed and whimpered at the pain of his wound. “They got me in the shoulder, but that was it.”
“You should be fine. If we get back to The Beach and get Ann to remove the bullet, it’ll heal fine.”
He knew you didn’t really know that. You were trying to reassure yourself that he would live. But either way, he wasn’t planning on dying on you anytime soon.
You looked away from him, glancing over at the figure lying on the ground motionless. The eagle mask was still lazily placed on their face. Chishiya probably didn’t want to remove it out of respect for the individual.
“How’d you kill them?” you asked, locking eyes with him once again.
“A few shocks around the ears to knock them out. But I didn’t take any sharp blades with me so I had to get creative,” he explained, nodding over towards a small slab of metal that laid a few metres away. “After a few hits with that to their head, they were gone.”
You cringed at the thought, but you appreciated Chishiya having the bravery to do that.
You felt a soft hand pressing itself against your stomach, rubbing the spot up and down. “Are they okay?”
A smile spread across your face. “I think so. They didn’t help much by making me throw up in the closet,” you laughed, making Chishiya grin.
“Causing mum trouble already.”
A happy tune being played from each of your pockets caught your attention.
“Game Clear. Congratulations.”
The reality suddenly hit you. You were alive and so was Chishiya. And although you would have to go through many more traumatic and harsh events such as the one you had just experienced, you would at least be there for each other, whether the outcome was bad or not.
“Come on. Let’s go home,” Chishiya groaned, using his good arm to push himself up. You helped him by lifting him by his shoulders.
You were alive today, and that’s all that mattered. You would worry about tomorrow when it comes round to it.
