Hey Sir! I just got done watching the documentary "Make Mail" and I saw that you were listed as an executive producer. Well done! It was a wonderful documentary about making mail art and I related to it so much. I love the idea of showing others how I care by sending them something in the mail.

Thanks! But I’m only listed as an Executive Producer on the documentary because I gave them some money to make the film. I didn’t have much to do with the actual production except a couple of phone calls/emails where they reached out for some post-production advice. My contribution was basically just a financial thing.

But the finance thing is important too I guess. After years of being the even-less-than-broke artist, it’s great to be able to contribute financial support to other creators’ projects now. I know when I was struggling to make my own stuff, most of the time, money was the largest hurdle.

Anyway, mail art and handmade zines are an interesting topic and I was excited the Making Mail documentary gave that world a little attention. (and happy to hear you enjoyed the film!)
