Best Time to Visit Himachal
Nestled in the lap of the majestic Himalayas, Himachal Pradesh is a paradise for nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts, and those seeking a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With its snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, gushing rivers, and vibrant culture, Himachal offers an unforgettable experience. However, choosing the right time to visit this stunning state is crucial to make the most of your trip. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo adventure, here’s a guide to the best time to visit Himachal Pradesh, along with some insights to help you plan your dream holiday.
Spring (March to May): A Burst of Colors and Mild Weather
Spring is one of the best times to visit Himachal Pradesh, as the weather is pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C in most regions. The snow begins to melt, giving way to blooming flowers, lush greenery, and clear skies, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Popular destinations like Shimla, Manali, and Dharamshala come alive with vibrant landscapes, perfect for trekking, paragliding, and exploring local markets.
In spring, the apple orchards in places like Kinnaur and Kullu are in full bloom, offering a picturesque setting for photography enthusiasts. The mild weather also makes it an excellent time to visit offbeat destinations like Spiti Valley, where the roads become accessible after the winter snow melts.
Plan Your Spring Escape with Ajeya Enterprises!Ready to witness the magic of Himachal in spring? Book your customized tour package with Ajeya Enterprises and explore the stunning landscapes of Shimla, Manali, and more with expertly crafted itineraries. Let us make your Himachal adventure unforgettable!
Summer (June to August): Beat the Heat in the Hills
Summers in Himachal Pradesh are a delightful escape from the scorching heat of the plains. With temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C, this is the peak tourist season, especially for families and honeymooners. Destinations like Kullu, Manali, and Dalhousie are bustling with visitors seeking respite in the cool mountain air. The clear skies and warm days are perfect for adventure activities like river rafting, camping, and mountain biking.
However, the monsoon arrives in July and August, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas. While this adds a fresh charm to the greenery, it’s advisable to check weather forecasts and road conditions, as landslides can occur in certain regions. If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting during early June before the monsoon sets in.

The post-monsoon season brings lush green valleys and vibrant festivals, such as Dussehra in Kullu, which is a cultural spectacle not to be missed.
This season is perfect for trekking in regions like the Parvati Valley or the Great Himalayan National Park. The clear weather also makes it an excellent time for photography, especially in places like Chamba and Kinnaur, where the landscapes are adorned with autumnal hues.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Usually a friendship , especially the unexpected one is always either very simple or very memorable , but in our case it’s like a Rollercoaster(maybe cz you love it). We aint just friends cz you know very well about my imaginations and wishes , to include things which aint done by Just friends , and we ain’t really exclusive cz somewhat it’s not my luckiest day 😅
So in between all these chaos and suffering let’s recall our first real meet .
It was the month of September/ October so basically not that warm yet a hint of chilliness🥶 during morning and Evening. You were visiting India and this time there was a chance that you might visit mountains. I was always positive about meeting you if you ever come to Manali so finally when the day come i was fully prepared .
The day was 6 September and the weather was bit cloudy . I was sleeping and you had left a text regarding some gift that I was about to get . You knew my daily routine and knew that i leave very early for cricket practice so you were having your own teasing fun and all (which you always love🤭, hence leaving that text ) . As soon as i woke up i checked text , read about surprise got excited and had an great cricket session . I texted you before leaving for practice but you were having your own fun . You checked text around 8am and replied “ Be at Mall road by 9am” (a place I always used to tell you about whenever we used to talk)
My day just kept getting better and better . I was so excited , had a good shower (a quick one ) , got ready (not too casual not too formal) and was there by 8:55 only . You reached by 9:05 , and when i saw you for the first time irl , I couldn’t do much but admire (You were looking so stunningly beautiful 😍 ).
Inside me was jumping like a 3-4 years old happy baby but I somehow controlled my excitement . You greeted me with a hug (i was expecting just a handshake though) . None of it was feeling real but still i was so so happy . You told me how hungry you are and you just have a day to be in Manali . All my happiness turned into sadness but then i said to myself “shyd fir is janam mmmm mulakaaaaat ho na hooooo” (ft. Lgja galey ).
I had decided to make it a day filled with lots of happiness , joy and excitement .
Happiness- seeing and meeting you in real
Joy- finally you are here
Excitement- how rest of the day will be spent
So we sit our ass in car and i drive us off to my fav food place. Breakfast should always be special, be it eating food or someone else 😁🤭 (iykyk) . We talk , i drop so many questions on you (no wonder i was excited) while driving and enjoying the scenic view.
Our vibe matched from the very first minute we met , maybe it was cz we had talked so much over phone or chat even though we hadn’t met in real before yet our vibe was like bff’s . We were laughing loudly, talking silly and enjoying our fav song . The place where we went for breakfast was called Devdham ( a beautiful restaurant with a view of nature, river Beas ) . It’s one of my favourite so we order my usual fav . You were talking and talking and talking (maybe when you are happy you talk alot🤭) , and i was just admiring you( looking at you like an owl 😅 ) . You asked what are you looking at even though you were fully aware (but you love teasing me ) . You told me about your childhood, especially school stories and I listened to every bit of it with pleasure. After having bf which was done by 11 , which was insanely good , we both were so full , it felt like we could sleep but it was just one day and i had to show u so much (the beautiful places I’m talking about 😗)
We had bf and then I took you again for a drive . You asked where to and i said let it be a surprise . now we were talking about life and how life has taught us so many lessons .
After an hour long drive we finally reached Peej ( the place which looked like wallpaper if you remember) . You were speechless when you saw the view . It was already 12 but we spend a solid hour or two there . It was just so beautiful. We sat under a tree , talked , laughed and felt so many emotions . It was lunch time and I took you to city mall . A great place to spend your afternoon , it was already 4pm when we were done with lunch , and it was already too late to drive to some other place . I asked you what to do and you said , “ i don’t mind a movie “ and hence with lots of popcorn we were in theatre watching a romedy (romantic comedy) . It had humour, yet was romantic. It was dark yet had scenes to make us cry and before we know we were holding hands towards the end of the movie (as it got so senti and suspenseful 😂🤣) . It was 7pm and now it was dinner time . I made sure to take you to a restaurant with a night view of town and sky , had already planned a romantic dinner with flowers wine music and everything . We had enjoyed out day so much we lost track of time, we were having wine , laughing loud and we’re finally having unfiltered conversation . You told me new things , i shared my feelings and by 11 we both were so drunk , waiter had to stop us and show us the way to our hotel room .
Reached rooms , i couldn’t help myself (maybe it was the wine , we just hugged (a long long hug. There were tears in our eyes , empathy in our heart . We cuddled (cried a bit too ) and slept like a baby . That’s all I remember about our first beautiful unforgettable meet .
