Neptune - 'princess' of Nexus Tech, emotionally withdrawn, basically a cyborg due to her illness

Uranus Duo - two pompous and cocky twins

Mercury - Inventor of current Nexus tech duel disk

Saturn - psycho duelist for hire

Mars - disillusioned with the world. Unknown to all in their group.

I read a lot of sci-fi when I was a kid but like that hard sci-fi that turns out to be really politically right wing when you get older and know a bit more. The funniest thing about that was I remember reading Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven's stuff. They had this whole thing about the Earth being controlled by this technology police thing that when I was like 15 didn't really catch the underpinnings but upon re-reading some of it later one huge thing jumped out at me. It was the Illuminati. Like, straight up, it was the One World Order run by the Illuminati thing. It's never explicitly said but there's chunks of that here and there in the books that I didn't notice as a 15 year evangelical white boy living in the suburbs. It's like reading Starship Troopers when I was a teenager and just thinking, "Cool! Power armor and bug aliens!" and missing the heavy fascist overtones of the military running the government (basically).
