Matt Casey x Kelly Severide (as dads) II
(not my gif)
Anna Casey and Quinn Severide, best friends since day one, trouble since their first prank.
Here you were feeling very tipsy after promising your dad that you wouldnât drink at the party. You werenât sure who encouraged who, but here you both were sitting on the couch laughing at lord knows what as both of your phones buzzed silently in your bags. Your dad dropped you and Quinn off at the party giving you both a final warning about drinking. You guys had made a plan to stay at your friend Lucie Halsteads house, whoâs parents were out of town, meaning your parents would never know about your little drunken adventure.
âI hope they never ever find out,â you laughed as you took the final swig of your beer.
âAnna, they never let us have any fun, just relax okay?â And that was all you needed to hear.
-
The bright lights were blinding, which did not help the excruciating pain in your head. Your eyes begun to focus, making it very clear that you were no longer at the party or Lucieâs house, you were in fact in the hospital. Fuck.
âOh honey, you look awful,â You would recognise Maggieâs voice any day, she was one of your many babysitters growing up.
âHow much trouble am I in?â You asked sheepishly.
She sat on the bed, placing a hand on your leg, âBaby, I donât know how youâre going to get yourself out of this one.â
You could feel the panick settling in, âWhat happened?â You asked almost whispering.
âYou and Quinn ended up in here needing your stomachs pumped because you both got way too drunk,â she said, acting as if it was no big deal.
âDo my parents know?â
âYes, Kelly and Stella are already here. Quinn has spilled all the beans unfortunately. We were all worried, Will did not enjoy having to resuscitate his nieces friends.â
You sat there in silence, not really knowing what to say when the door opened revealing a very hungover Quinn.
âCan I come sit?â She asked almost trying to avoid eye contact with Maggie.
âOf course,â you replied, welcoming your best friend.
âRight girls, Iâll leave you be,â Maggie have you both a warm smile as Quinn lay on your bed beside you.
âBye Maggie,â you both said in unison.
âWhat happened?â You asked, turning to face Quinn.
She let out a big sigh, âWe ended up playing beer pong but apparently Josh put tequila in all the cups so we got pretty wasted. Jamie Halstead was there to pick up Lucie and ended up driving us to the hospital, I donât remember any of it. But he messaged me this morning. Mom and dad are pissed.â
âIâm just waiting on mine arriving,â you said with a defeated sigh, knowing that your mom would probably murder you.
You both lay in a comfortable silence mulling over the nights events when the door burst open and in walked your parents. Who looked pissed.
âGlad to see youâre alive,â your dad said between gritted teeth.
âAnna, what on earth were you thinking? You promised us you wouldnât drink. Thatâs the only reason you got to go!â You could tell your mom was holding back her tears.
âAuntie Sylvie, we played beer pong which I know we shouldnât have, but a boy called Josh had put tequila in all the cups without us knowing,â Quinn pleaded trying to get you out of trouble.
Your dad let out a defeated sigh, âAnything could have happened to you both, you know that right? If it hadnât of been for Halstead you guys probably would have choked on your own vomit and weâd be sat in the hospital identifying your bodies!â He was shouting now, you could tell he was pissed because the vein on his forehead was pulsating.
âDad, donât be so dramatic-â
âDramatic? Iâm not being dramatic Anna, do you know how many times weâve seen kids drinking go wrong? Too many times and I refuse to let you be one of them. Either of you.â He stormed out the room with a bang of the door which caused the tears that threatened to fall, to begin falling down your cheeks.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered, lowering your head to avoid your moms stare. She quietly walked out leaving you both to sit in silence.
âWe really fucked up didnât we?â Quinn questioned as she repositioned herself on the bed.
âYup,â you said popping the âpâ. How were you going to fix this? You honestly had no clue.
âCan I come in?â A voice came from the door, it was Stella.
âHey aunt Stella, listen i just want to-â
âI donât wanna hear okay, you guys messed up, scared us to death. But youâre young and Lord only knows how many times I did it when I was younger. I just never got caught. Weâre angry, but itâs only out of love. Now give me a hug you pair of riots,â she engulfed you both in her arms kissing you both on your heads.
Soon enough all four of your parents were stood in the room preparing to each give you both a lecture.
âLook, lets get you both home and into your beds. You both really scared us, I hope you know that. Weâve seen some bad things with our jobs and thatâs why we may seem overprotective but we just want our girls to be safe okay?â Your uncle Kelly seemed a lot calmer now as you all walked out of the hospital with a wave to both Will and Maggie who both smiled, feeling thankful that you both were okay. Your dad however, was still pissed. He couldnât even look at you which broke your heart.
It had been a few hours since you had left Chicago med and your dad still hadnât spoken to you.
âMatt, go speak to her. I can hear her sniffling in her room. Sheâs clearly upset.â Your mom, Sylvie tried to reason with your dad.
âShe completely disregarded anything we said to her and got herself into trouble. This is the consequence of her actions Sylvie.â He backfired earning an exasperated sigh from his wife.
âAnd you never got drunk when you were a teenager?â She asked, giving him a smirk.
He just laughed, âitâs not the same,â
âWhy? Because sheâs your daughter? Unfortunately she needs to make mistakes to learn from them babe, weâre here to guide her the best we can but ultimately sheâs her own person and sheâs growing up. You canât punish her everytime you donât want to accept that she is turning into an adult Matt.â
He knew fine well that she was right, he just didnât want to admit it. When he laid eyes on his baby girl he promised himself that heâd never let anyone or anything harm her. He knew the teenage years would be difficult, for both his children, but somehow it was easier to let Ryan be a bit more adventurous than his baby girl. But that wasnât your fault.
âIâll go speak to her,â he sighed as he got up out of the seat and headed up to your room. He walked quietly up to your door and his heart broke at what he heard. You crying into your pillow. So he knocked pulling you away from your sobs. You looked so vulnerable lying in your bed clearly hungover and tears falling from your eyes.
He walked in without a word and sat beside you on your bed, placing his arm around your shoulder to pull you into his chest. Where you felt the safest. He remembered all the times he had tucked you into bed with a story and how you had fallen asleep in exactly this position.
You cuddled right into him and let out a sob, âDad, Iâm so sorry,â you cried out, feeling all the emotions from the last day relieve from your soul.
He kissed your head with a sigh, âI know you are baby, I know you are,â You both ended up falling asleep in that position and stayed like that until morning when the smell of pancakes woke you both up.

Matt Casey x Kelly Severide (as dads) I
(Not my gif )
Never in a million years did Matt Casey and Kelly Severide ever dream that theyâd become fathers on the same day. Matt and Sylvie had your older brother Ryan three years before you were born. Sylvie and Stella both became pregnant around the same time, with roughly two weeks between them. However, you decided to arrive early and surprise everyone. Since then you and Quinn had been inseparable.
Fifteen years later and you guys were still inseparable, much to Ryanâs disgust. He was the typical jock, he took after your dad in his looks which meant he was constantly sought after by all the girls. He was the captain of the football team, which basically meant he was royalty. You, however, were a complete anomaly as your mom liked to phrase it. Youâve seen the movie The Duff right? Yeah, well you were like Bianca. In fact, you and Quinn were both Bianca.
Never quite fitting in except with Quinn, you guys were two peas in a pod. Both your parents constantly worried about you girls. But, you both brought your parents such joy and laughter.
-
âAnna, they are never going to allow us to go to this party,â Quinn sighed as you both walked along to the firehouse after school.
You gave your friend a smirk, âThey will if they think itâs at Jamieâs house,â Quinn instantly rolled her eyes at you.
âYeah, like Jamie Halstead is ever going to be allowed to throw a party!â She laughed.
âExactly, theyâll think that heâs responsible!â You countered.
âHalstead? Responsible? You make me laugh Anna,â She threw her arm around your shoulder bringing you in for a hug as you guys approached 51. âPlus, you know our dads will definitely ask Jay about the party,â
âThis is true,â you sighed.
âThereâs my girls!â You both looked up to see your aunt Stella and second mom standing on the apparatus floor smiling at you both.
âHey!â You both replied before going in for the compulsory hug.
âYour dad is in his office Anna,â she explained giving you an extra squeeze.
âIâm guessing mom and uncle Kelly are out on a call?â You asked noticing the lack of ambulance 61 and squad 3.
âThey are indeedy,â she smiled.
âI shall go annoy the father,â you laughed and you said your farewells to your favourite humans.
As you walked through the station you said your helloâs to your firefighter family who were all happy to see you. You saw your dad out the corner of your eye as you turned the corner of the bunk room, noticing how he looked frustrated at the paper in front of him.
Skipping the knock on the door you just swung it open giving your dad a fright.
âGood day sir,â you half shouted before launching your arms round your dads neck, hugging his back. You always knew how to make him happy, as you could hear him chuckle to himself.
âWell good day to you too,â he laughed out as you let go and flopped down on his bed. He spun round in his chair to face you smiling as he did whenever his kids were around.
âHow is my favourite daughter today?â
You looked at him with your serious face, âyour favourite child is very good today, how is my favourite parent?â Again, making him chuckle.
âYou do know that I donât have favourites and you certainly shouldnât have them either. Or at least, donât openly admit it,â he said as he hit you with a ball of scrunched up paper.
âI only speak the truth,â you laughed out.
âOh, honey, I know,â
-
Your favourite time was meal time, especially when it was at the station because you loved nothing more than being surrounded by your family. This is where you felt completely safe.
âHow much hot sauce do you need?â Hermann asked, making everyone go quiet waiting your response.
âThere is no limit of hot sauce,â you replied as you continued to add hot sauce to your plate.
âShe doesnât even enjoy the sauce she just likes to make herself look tough,â Ryan sneered at you across the table.
âOh Iâm sorry, I forgot that you were so vanilla,â you quickly retorted at your brother making everyone chuckle which in my infuriated him.
âGuys, enoughâ you dad looked at you both knowing that it didnât take much to start a war between you guys.
You passed the bottle over to Quinn who also shared your passion for all things hot and spicy.
âYou two are something else,â your uncle Kelly smiled at you both.
âTwo weirdos,â Ryan muttered earning a kick from you under the table.
âRyan stop being mean to them,â your mom interjected, not forgetting to give you your warning look for kicking him.
You held your hands up in defense before wiping the hot sauce off your face.
âYouâre such a charmer,â Stella laughed, she loved you like a second daughter, as did Sylvie with Quinn.
The chatter continued as you sat peacefully finishing your tea. You took in your family. You loved them with your whole heart, well, except Ryan. You mostly felt hatred towards him. Which he also felt for you. Although your parents had a very small immediate family, you were blessed to be born into such a big loving family of Chicagoâs finest.

Matt Casey (Another Mini Series pt7)
(Not my gif)
You settled into the routine of being a family of five fairly quick. It was complete chaos but you loved it. Matt, however got himself stressed when he was left in charge of all three girls. To his dismay, little miss Ellis did not follow her older sisters in being completely besotted by their dad in the beginning. Nope. She was a complete mommyâs girl. So when Matt was left with all three girls he had a hard time pasifying Ellis if she was in one of her moods.
However, as Ellis turned six months old her character completely changed. She still needed her mom, but she soon turned on the charm towards her dad. Which he of course, loved.
Being on maternity leave meant that when Matt was off of work he got to spend it with you. Whilst on maternity you had gotten yourself into a routine. Instead of driving the girls to school you now walked them to school. One to try and get the girls out of being driven everywhere and also for you to help get rid of your postpartum belly. Ellis loves her morning walks, especially if they meant dropping by to see her daddy.
âGirls, come on. Weâll need to walk at double the pace if weâre gonna make itâ you shouted up to them, hoping it would hurry them along.
As you got Ellis ready in her pram you heard their footsteps running down the stairs.
The back door lock was turned by Matt before picking up the girls school bags, âRight family, lets go drop these monsters off at school!â He exclaimed causing an eruption of giggles. You honestly adored how Matt was with your babies. Never in a million years did you think youâd end up being this lucky.
The walk was fairly uneventful, the sun was out but not too hot, which you were thankful for because the girls loved to moan about the heat. Soon enough the school gates were in sight and before they could run off to see their friends Matt grabbed them for a big hug.
âDaddddy!! No slobbery kissesâ Ainsley screamed with laughter.
âNope, you get all the slobbery kisses. Soon enough youâll be a teenager and wonât even speak to me. So Iâm getting all my kisses in nowâ he laughed out, tickling them both.
âMommy help!â Ellen shouted making you laugh. You pressed the break on the pram before joining in on the family hug.
âNope. I want my kisses tooâ you joined in, cradling Ainsley in your arms like you did as a baby then proceeded to plant kisses all over her face.
You could see other parents staring at you, but you honestly couldnât care. Matt was right, soon enough theyâd be teenagers sneaking out and barely even acknowledging your existence. So you took these moments whenever you could.
âOkay okay, you guys better run before youâre late.â You kissed their heads before sending them off. Matt stood behind you, arms around your waist resting his chin on your shoulder, both of you watching as your girls joined their friends with big smiles on their faces.
The peace was broken by Matt, âI think we should go for ice cream.â
You nodded in agreement, still standing watching your girls go in to school, hoping that life would remain this perfect with your little family.

Matt Casey (Another Mini Series pt4)
(Not my gif)
The room filled with cheers and congratulations from everybody. You felt a huge sense of relief now that it was out in the open to your closest friends. Watching Matts face was priceless as everyone congratulated him on being a dad again. Every single pregnancy he had been your rock and once again he was being your everything. Finally you got round to speaking to your big brother who still looked shocked.
âBaby number three huh?â He laughed as he hugged you.
âI know right, I donât know whatâs crazier. The fact I got pregnant or the fact that Iâm going through with it?â
He took ahold of your shoulders with both his hands and stared you right in the eyes, âThereâs no one I could think more capable of handling this better than you y/n, youâre the best mom ever. Those girls are my favourite little humans ever and I canât wait to meet my littlest niece.â
âIm just worried about how the girls are going to adjust to the new arrival.â
He hugged you into his side, âDonât worry, theyâll be fine. Plus they have their favourite uncle and auntie Stella to give them all the extra love!â
You laughed, âYouâre their only uncle doofus.â
âSo! Iâm still their favourite. Anyways, Iâm going to see how Casey is going to handle being well and truly outnumbered by four girls!â He kissed your head and then disappeared to grab Matt for their famous cigar chats.
-
At twenty two weeks you were well and truly showing. You were convinced that this baby was in fact a baby elephant. Youâd never been this big before. Work was still enjoyable at the moment anyways. However, when you were out on tough calls you couldnât help but notice everyone being a little overprotective.
As PIC you had to make all the tough calls and usually ended up in the sticky situations due to your own actions. But now you were being watched closely by everyone because you were pregnant. Which of course, infuriated you. At least Sylvie had the common sense to not even question your judgment as she had made that fatal mistake when you were expecting Ellen.
The alarm bells knocked you out of your day dream and as you were getting into the ambulance you heard a âBe careful!â Being shouted at you from over the apparatus floor. Which you of course ignored.
When you guys arrived you noticed a man who looked to be unconscious on the ground. You of course parked up and ran over. Immediately assessing the situation you realised that the man had been shot.
âPass over some packing Sylvie; thereâs only an entry wound.â You explained, knowing that youâd have to pack the wound until you got him to hospital.
â61 to main, requesting assistance as our victim looks to be shot. No signs of a shooter.â
You knew that Matt would be listening to the radio as he usually did when you were out on a call. You hoped that dispatch would send patrol quickly.
As you guys rolled him on to the back board ready to lift him onto the gourney you suddenly felt a cold object press against your head.
âMake a noise and I swear to god Iâll put a bullet in you,â the man spoke with a low serious tone.
âWe need to get him to hospitalâ you barked back feeling your protective instincts kicking in.
âY/n, just do as he says, please.â Sylvie pleaded. You two had been in a similar situation before and your temper had gotten the best of you.
âListen, I donât care if you shot him or not. But weâre taking him to the hospital whether you like it or not. Now I suggest you put the gun away and move aside or-â
You heard the gun being cocked and you felt your insides drop. Fuck. This is really not the time to a hormonal asshole.
âBitch I swear to god, once more word-â with that sirens could be heard coming in your direction and he suddenly grabbed a hold of you. He had you pressed against his chest with his arm around your neck, gun still pressed to your head.
âCome any closer and I will shoot this bitch!â He shouted at a now full scene of truck, squad and the police.
You instinctively looked for Matts face which looked like a mixture of pissed off and worried.
You mouthed, âI love youâ to him which he shook his head, refusing to believe that anything bad was going to happen.
âDude, just let her go! Sheâs done nothing wrong,â Kelly shouted, you could hear the desperation in his voice.
The guy started to panic now because he was quickly being surrounded.
âYouâre running out of options. This is either going to go two ways; you get shot or you let go of me and walk over there and be arrested. What are you gonna choose?â You spoke with a shakey breath. The fear was really starting to kick in now.
The police were trying to bargain with him but he wasnât having any of it. He eventually decided to make a run for it but pushed you to the ground as he tried to make his escape. There was a lot of noises and chaos surrounding you. Before you knew it, Matt was by your side asking you a dozen questions at a time.
âIâm fine, Matt, Iâm fine, just help me up,â you grumbled at the pain in your lower back.
He helped stand you up and begun to check you over for any injuries.
âBabe, are you sore anywhere?â The questions were flying at you which completely overwhelmed you.
âMatt! Iâm fine, now just let me do my jobâ you shouted, dusting yourself off.
âY/n, you canât be serious?â Kelly questioned.
âChief, Iâm fine. Please just let me get back to my job and I promise to get checked out at med.â you pleaded, wanting everyone to stop worrying.
âStella goes with you just in case.â He ordered.
You knew not to fight him and just nodded before turning away back to your patient knowing youâd get interrogated later.

Abandoned (Matt Casey)
*not my gif*
You had always hated hospitals. Ever since you were six and had broken your ankle ice skating. Growing up you had a clumsy streak which inevitably ended up with you and your dad sitting in Chicago Med. even at sixteen you were still clumsy. This time was different, you still felt pains in your chest even though you could breathe properly.
Will and Natalie had diagnosed you with a panic attack induced with the stress of your mom. Hearing the news angered your dad because he told her to give you space. But this was typical Amber. The doctors were waiting on some more test results so Matt headed out to update everyone.
âHowâs she doing?â Kelly asked, sitting up from his seat.
Nodding his head Matt cleared his throat, âYeah, sheâs doing much better now. Sheâs still in a lot of pain in her chest. The docs reckon she had a panic attack because of the stress of her mom.â
Boden walked over to Matt and patted him on the shoulder, âAnd how are you doing?â
âIâm good. Just glad sheâs okay. I donât know what Iâd do without Ellie.â As Matt finished speaking the doors to the waiting room opened again revealing a very shaken Amber standing there.
âWhen are you going to take the hint Amber?â Matt practically lunged for her across the waiting room only to be stopped by Kelly and Boden.
Tears started to fall down her face, âIâm sorry Matt okay, Iâm so sorry. I just wanted to see her and make sure sheâs okay.â She explained through her sobs.
âMake sure sheâs okay?â He asked through gritted teeth, âSheâs been okay for the last sixteen years without you, and sheâll be okay for the next sixteen. Do you not realise that this is too much for her to handle, you out her in hospital with a panic attack because the stress was too much for her!â Hearing this only brought more tears to fall.
âI think you should go,â Kelly barked feeling all the hatred that he felt sixteen years ago boiling back up.
âFine, Iâll go. But give her this please?â She handed over a card and a teddy bear to Kelly and left without another word.
Sighing with relief Matts disposition changed to being calm again. âIâll go see Ellie and see whatâs happening.â Everyone nodded in agreement with him and watched as he went back to the ED.
âHis heart has been torn open again with Amber reappearing. She was the love of his life and she broke him when she left them.â Kelly walked back to his seat worrying about his friend and niece.
The pain had started to calm down and it eased even more at the sight of your dad walking back through. You noticed he had a card and bear in his hand. âAre they for me?â You asked cheekily thinking your dad had been as cute as he was on Valentineâs Day. Every year he took you out for a âdateâ, you loved them but he loved them even more.
He sat down beside your bed and took a deep breath. âYour Mom came in to drop these offâ he stared at you so he could see if this news was going to bring on another panic attack. Your mouth went dry and your stomach dropped with the news. You just nodded. âShe asked me to give you these. You donât have to take them just now, we can deal with them when youâre ready,â he suggested squeezing your hand.
âItâs okay, Iâm in the right place if it brings in another panic attack,â you joked trying desperately to lighten the mood.
He handed you the card letting you open it,
âIâm so sorry my sweet girl. I realise that you hold so much hurt and anger in my direction. Which I donât blame you for. I know itâs on me. But Iâve gotten myself together and Iâd love to get to know you, if youâd let me. This will be my last attempt because I donât want to cause you any more hurt baby girl, hereâs my number if you ever want to get in touch, get me on this (847) 555-2176. I love you, mom xâ
You put the card back in the envelope and threw it to the bottom of your bed. âToo little, too lateââyou said before reaching out to give your dad a hug.
Matt had been there from day one. He taught you to ride a bike, to use cutlery, to sing and dance (badly). He was there when you scored your first goal at soccer. He took you swimming. He was there. Always there. Even when things were tough on him like when Gabby left, he always put you first. He was your rock. He tamed your curly locks when you were little before dance class. He dressed up as Disney princesses at your disney tea parties. He was your constant. At this moment in time, you didnât want to open that door with your mom. You werenât ready. And that was okay. Because as long as you had your dad by your side, anything was possible.
Hugging him tighter you spoke softly, âyouâre the only parent I need in my life.â

Matt Casey (Another Mini Series pt5)
(not my gif)
Matt sat anxiously in his office waiting on you. He knew you better than he knew himself which infruriated you. He knew that youâd need to cool off and calm down. But he also wanted to see you and the bump to make sure you guys were okay. He took it as a good sign that no one had been in contact with him, until his phoned vibrated on the bed.
Sylvie - hey matt, weâre heading back to the firehouse. sheâs been checked over and everything is fine. stopping for donuts! p.s. sheâs very emotional so donât give her too much of a hard time
His heart broke at the thought of you being upset without him there to comfort you. You were his greatest love and the best thing to walk into his life. You came in and turned his world upside down. Even from when you were just Kellyâs little sister, you al2ays had a way of brightening up his day. You popped the question two years into the relationship on the 29th of February, completely taking him off guard. Which he loved. You gave him what he had always wanted; a family. He loved his daughters with his whole being. They were his world and he couldnât wait to meet his little peanut.
He heard the ambulance pull up on the apparatus floor and charged his way through everyone to meet you. But you had jumped out before Sylvie parked up to come apologise. You guys ended up bumping into each other in the corridor. Instantly you threw your self into his arms and broke down.
âIâm so sorry Matt,â you cried out hugging on to him tightly.
He shushed you as he squashed you in his tight embrace. Kissing you on the head, he took a step back and wiped his thumb over your face to remove your tears.
âAs long as youâre both okay, then everything is okay.â He said smiling, but you could see a tear threatening to fall. You once again thrust yourself into his chest, your safe zone. You both stood there embracing each other in perfect silence.
Boden had secretly phoned your parents to see if theyâd bring in your daughters for tea to brighten your spirits, which of course it did. The silence of the common room as everyone watched the TV was broken when all that could be heard was the sounds of heavy footsteps and giggles.
âMommy!! Daddy!!â Both girls ran through the apparatus floor and into the common room searching for you both. Once theyâd clocked you sitting on the sofa beside Mouch they launched themselves onto you. Which you enjoyed and laughed with them but it was ruined by Matt shouting,
âGirls for heavens sake be careful!â They immediately sat still, taken aback as their dad rarely raised his voice.
âMatt, calm down, Iâm fine. Everything is fine.â You quickly reassured the girls with the beginning of a tickle match causing the common room to fill with laughter. In the midst of all the laughter you hadnât realised that Matt had stormed off.
âGirls, why donât you show everyone your dance that you made up? Iâm sure theyâd love to see it!â You needed them to be distracted so you could go find your sulking husband.
Everyone looked so eager to watch them perform in front of the Blackhawks playing. But they also understood what was going on so allowed it.
As you entered the bunk room you saw Matt strong at his desk with his head in his hands. You quietly walked in and gently rubbed your hand in his back to comfort him.
âHoney, are you okay?â You asked with a voice full of worry.
He sighed and sat up to look at you, âIâm sorry. I shouldnât have shouted at them. But after today I just, ugh, I just donât want anything to happen to you or our baby.â You could see that he was finally processing what had happened today and it was crushing him.
âI know. But the girls donât understand. They were just happy to see us. I promise you that me and little peanut are completely fine, okay? So stop stressing. Weâre all good.â
He just nodded, his head sinking lower into his frame.
You reached under his chin with your hand to bring his face up to meet yours, âyou know I love you, right?â You asked before kissing him softly.
âI do.â He smiled up at you, before he could say anything there was shriek of âMOM!â Coming from the common room which caused you both to bolt through. The panic was dissolved quickly when you saw Kelly lying on the floor with his legs stretched out in the air and Ellen balancing on his feet like an aeroplane.
âMommy look, I can fly!!!â She screamed with a huge smile across her face.
âYou guys are crazy!â You laughed out.
âMy shot daddy!!â Ainsley shouted grabbing Mattâs hand and dragging him beside Kelly.
He granted his demanding daughters wish and the room was filled with your daughters laughter. Your favourite sound.

Matt Casey (Another miniseries pt6)
(Not my gif)
Your due date was one week away and you refused to go off on maternity leave because why would you, right? The baby isnât here so therefore you still should be at work. Luckily enough everyone knew this would happen as you refused to go off the times before. But Chief was prepared this time and had a relief medic in doing some induction days with you and Sylvie before you went off to bring your third daughter into the world. This infuriated you even more because you were just instructing and helping Sylvie gain confidence in becoming a temporary PIC. You missed being in the thick of all the action.
It was the middle of the night and the bells went off calling for truck, squad and ambo. Everyone was still waking up as they rushed to their vehicles, but you however had been up for two hours due to your baby doing dances in your belly, meaning you were wide awake so you insisted that you would drive. When you arrived on scene you could see a multi vehicle collision. All three paramedics rushed to the three cars and begun their assessments, you included.
In your car you had a trapped child, who was around seven years old screaming because her leg was caught. Instinctively you crawled into the cramped backseat and begun to work on the little girl.
âHey sweetie, my name is y/n, can you tell me yours?â You asked smiling at the terrified child.
âMy name is Ellis.â She whispered out.
âThatâs a beautiful name Ellis, can you tell me where the pain is?â You went through your usual checks and put a neck brace on the girl before backing out of the car for the guys to work on getting her out. All this action had caused you to get breathless but you worked through it. Ellis needed you.
âY/n you okay?â Kelly shouted over to you noticing you were taking a moment.
You nodded before giving him a thumbs up and springing into action.
Not before long you had dropped off your patients at Chicago med and returned to the firehouse. Exhausted wasnât even the word to describe how you felt. Everything ached, from your neck to your feet to your back. You went to pee before joining everyone for breakfast but as you stood to wash your hands a sudden pain emerged in your belly and before you could process it, your water broke.
âFuckâ you laughed out. How typical.
In between breathing and hobbling through to the common room you shouted for Matt but he was too ingrossed in the bickering between Stella and Cruz to hear you. Until you stood at the door and screamed out in agony at the contraction. Everyone stood still and turned to look at you.
âMatt I swear to god I am not having this baby in the firehouse,â you screamed out holding onto the door, with your knuckles turning white.
Matt rushed to your side and supported you as you made your way to the ambulance. âShe could have waited until Iâd eaten those scrambled eggs,â you laughed out squeezing Matts hand.
The whole way there Matt was by your side, making you laugh through the contractions even through all you wanted to do was make him feel what you were feeling. Every pregnancy you had managed to block out this part. The excruciating pain, but oh man it was so worth it. By this point you were in the maternity ward in med waiting on Matt to come back with ice chips.
âOkay y/n, youâre only 7 cm dilated so we canât move you until youâre 10.â Your nurse spoke softly, knowing you knew the routine as she had helped you with all your labours now. In too much pain to reply you just nodded.
*Seven Hours later *
âSheâs perfect Matt.â You whispered, holding your brand new baby girl in your arms with Matt looking in awe at you.
He just smiled, trying not to cry, âSheâs perfect in every way.â
âWhat shall we call her?â He asked, kissing her softly on the head.
He began to rattle off the list of names you guys had thought of when you whispered out, âEllisâ.
âEllis? Isnât that the name of the girl you rescued from the crash today?â He quizzed.
âYeah, she was a really sweet girl.â You said, not taking your eyes off of your new baby girl.
âEllis it is.â Matt stated smiling at you.
You leaned up to kiss him. Everything was perfect in this moment. You finally had your third perfect little girl sound asleep in your arms while your brother rounded up your other girls to come meet their little sister.

Abandoned (Matt Casey)
School was torture. All you could think about was her. She was a total stranger pretending to care, right? How could she possibly think that she could just waltz right in and pretend that nothing had happened. Sixteen years you heard nothing, zilch, nada. And she thinks that it is cool to call you her daughter. No.Â
You wanted to cry but you were determined not to cry any more tears over the stranger who abandoned you. Normally you would walk to the firehouse for tea but you were taken aback to find Truck 81 parked up in front of your school. Matt hopped out of the truck to come meet you.Â
âHey tinkerbellieâ Ugh, you hated that nickname that your dad called you. You didn't even say anything, but the eye roll spoke volumes. Throwing yourself into your dads arms was a big mistake, because the tears you had fought so hard to keep in all day just came out in a big sob.Â
Mattâs grip around you tightened which comforted you hugely. No matter how old you became your dads cuddles were the best, even though you'd never admit it to him. Rubbing your back he motioned for you to join the others in the truck, âCome on kiddo, you look knackered.â He was right, today was emotionally draining.
Growing up with 51 meant that they all knew to leave you in peace with your thoughts at a time like this, so thatâs exactly what they did after saying hello. You sat with your head resting on Mouchâs shoulder, watching as the familiar streets came into view.Â
You walked in cuddled into your dadâs side and when Kelly saw you arrived he instinctively came over and suffocated you with a massive hug. When he finally loosened his bear-like grip on you, you spoke softly, âIs it okay if I go catch some sleep in your bunk dad? Iâm exhausted.â
âOf course, weâll keep a portion of food for you.â He smiled sweetly at you before you headed off with the shadow in the shape of Tuesday.Â
âHow is she?â Kelly asked, scratching his head.
Matt took a deep breath, âEh, I mean, she hasn't said anything. But I can tell sheâs not okay. She is actually accepting cuddles for a change. Iâll wait for her to tell me how she is feeling. AS we all know with Ellie, the more we push the more she shuts down.âÂ
âThatâs our girlâ Kelly chuckled.Â
âI just donât get why? Why now did she come back into her life? I get not wanting to see me for all these years, but Ellie? Câmon, it took her years to accept and be okay with the whole situation, this is gonna fuck with her head.â Mattâs voice started to heat up with anger at the predicament he was in.Â
âWeâll get her through it. Sheâs got a whole family who love and will do anything for her. If she wants to get to know Amber, thatâs cool. But if she never wants to speak to her again, thatâs also cool and weâll make sure that she knows that she isnât welcome here.
Sighing, Matt sat down in Kellyâs chair, âSadly, if I know Amber, she wonât give up that easily.â
And boy was Matt right.Â

Matt Casey Imagine #5
Matt was working on Halloween so you guys had planned for Ryan to come trick or treating at 51. Matt didnât know what Ryan was dressing up as because he wanted to keep it a surprise for his daddy. When you had asked him what he wanted to be, he instantly said âa firefighter like daddyâ.
So thatâs what you did. You ordered a firemanâs outfit and re-stitched the patches to match firehouse 51. You knew that Matt was going to love it.
âMommy lets go!!!â Little Ryan pranced around on the spot, desperate to go see his dad.
Laughing you grabbed your bag and phone and headed out, âCome on little man, letâs go get some candy!â
Twenty minutes later you had arrived with a very excited boy.
You text your brother Kelly to let him know that you would be arriving with a surprise for Matt.
Ryan held tightly onto your hand as he dragged you into the firehouse desperately searching for his dad.
âHey little man! I love the outfit, your dad is in Bodenâs office!â Cruz have him a high five as he pushed past. You called a thank you back to the squad table.
Ryan pulled you all the way through to Bodenâs office where you could see Matt, Boden and Kelly all sat down speaking. Before you could tell Ryan to knock on the door he was off like a shot, running into the office shouting âDaddy!â
You stood back watching as your little boy jumped onto his dads knees, wrapping his small arms round Matts neck. Nearly blinding Matt as he got whacked in the face by a plastic fireman helmet.
âLook at my little fireman, are you going to join Truck 81?â Matt asked scooping up Ryan and turning to face you.
âAbsolutely notâ you interjected, earning a laugh from everyone.
âI worry enough about my husband and brother running into fires never mind my son,â you laughed out, making sure they understood that you were being deadly serious.
Ryan scrambled out of his dads arms to go show his auntie Stella giving you a chance to finally kiss your husband in the privacy of his office.
Laying on the bed cuddled into Mattâs side you felt a wash of peace flow over you. How did you get so lucky? You had the perfect husband, the most wonderful son. But the best part of all, you had a tiny little bean growing in your belly that you were waiting to tell Matt about tomorrow when Kelly was taking Ryan to hockey.
Matt was the best dad that you had ever seen, you couldnât wait to tell him that there would be another mini Casey joining the family.

Matt Casey Imagine #4
No, no, no! This was not happening. You did not get locked in the toilets at Mollyâs when you were one week away from giving birth. Fuck! Your phone was sitting on the bar beside your husband Matt. Fuck, fuck, fuck, you thought. No one was in here with you. Why did life hate you so much? You basically dragged Matt out of the house tonight because you were getting cabin fever being stuck inside due to the gigantic belly you were carrying around, thanks to your baby. You and Matt decided not to find out the gender until your baby arrived. But right now, you were panicked incase they decided to make an early arrival. Normally you wouldnât have been so stressed but all throughout today you had felt slightly niggles of pain and felt uncomfortable, but you were determined to have one mkre night out with your husband before you became a trio.
Banging on the door didnât work. Shouting didnât work. You were doomed. Ten minutes had gone by and still no one had come to your rescue. The pain had tripled since being locked in the bathroom, stay calm, you thought. Panicking will only bring baby Casey here quicker. But, what are thoughts when you feel like you have a grinder grinding on your back. You screamed out in agony. Fuck. This is really happening. Then, you felt a sudden wetness in your pants. Shit! Youâre gonna have to name the baby Molly, you laughed out, desperately trying to distract youself from your current situation.
You remembered what your prenatal classes told you, time your contractions. Thankfully you wore the watch Matt gave you as an anniversary gift. Contractions were speeding up. Seriously? How could no one hear you out there.
Someone tried to get in, âHello? Whyâs the door shut?â
You tried to shout between the screaming, âitâs (y/n), go get Matt. Ask the barman who Matt isâ you shouted between breaths.
âAre you in Labour? Oh god, (y/n) itâs Hayley, Iâll go get Matt.â
You couldnât say anything. The pain took your breath away.
Hayley ran through the bar and grabbed Matt, âItâs (y/n), sheâs in labour and is locked in the bathroom.â
A very panicked Matt spilt his drink as he got up and ran through the crowd, followed by Kelly and Jay.
â(Y/n)! Baby? You okay?â he shouted through the door.
âIâve been bett-ahhhhhh!â Another contraction forced its way through your aching body.
Matt and Kelly began trying to kick the door in, but Mollyâs doors were solid. Jay joined in which helped as the lock began to give way.
âIâm coming baby! Hold on!â Matt shouted as he took one final kick and forced the door open.
He ran towards you shouting for them to call an ambulance, but it was too late, you were already crowning.
Everyone from 51 were all huddled round the door as Sylvie and Trudy came in with towels. Trudy sat behind you to support you, as Sylvie instructed a very panicked Matt. You continued screaming in agony, almost breaking Trudyâs hand.
âOkay, (y/n), youâre almost there. One last push, okay?â She looked at you worryingly as you nodded your head, refocusing your attention onto Matt as he sat crouched at your open legs waiting the arrival of your baby.
âFuuuck!â You screamed as you pushed. You pushed harder than you ever thought you could when suddenly you felt a relief as you had just successfully delivered your baby. Sitting back against Trudy, you tried to catch your breath. When all the air inside of you was whisked away when you heard your baby crying. You watched as tears strolled down Matts face. He came over to you, with your tiny little baby wrapped in a Mollyâs towel, who was crying their little head off.
âMeet our baby girlâ he cried out as he passed over this precious little bundle. You were hysterical with happiness as you sat there in your disgusting wet dress, leaning against Trudy, holding your brand new daughter surrounded by the people you loved the most.
âSheâs perfectâ you said, kissing her head before kissing Matt.
You and Matt were finally whole.
