Monday evening, Tuesday evening, & now Wednesday.. I’m shocked & sad over the sudden passing of my friend, Frank Daley. Since becoming friends at the end of the Blue Hand Luke Halloween show at Rustic Barn Pub (2015), Frank was always kind, welcoming, supportive, informative, and talented. His passing left a huge hole in my heart as well as so many others in the arts and music community. Frank was always kind to me.. taking the time to fill me in on life’s happenings, introducing me to Judy during their lunch outing at Shalimar (Troy-2016), and even from time to time, became a match-maker of sorts; encouraging a friend of ours whom I liked at the time to chat with me at community outings that we were at..!! Always caring, always giving back, and always loving life until its end. Thank you Frank for being my friend!! You are deeply missed. Be sure to continue to guide over me and everyone you know & tell Josh and Dave what’s happening from up above. My love, condolences and hugs to his brothers, Joe & Jack, sisters, mom, to Judy & Ruby, his band members, family, and friends during this difficult time. #TBT: Sunday, March 19, a moving funeral service was held for my friend and Albany blues musician, Charlie Smith. Smith died March 8 from complications of diabetes. He was super talented on the guitar and always had a lot of feel & emotion into what he performed on stage. I got to know Charlie on and off through my early adulthood & he was always kind to me in the scene. I’m thankful to have heard Charlie play the blues in the Capital Region & Bennington, V.T. and call him a friend. He impacted many musicians’ lives & is missed. Thank you again to my friends, Rob Aronstein & Mike Lawrence for sharing your stories about Charlie to me & asking to help spread the word about Charlie’s Memorial & benefit event. #ThrowbackThursday & #ThursdaySaveTheDate: Happy “Throwback Thursday”!! Come on out tonight to Nanola @nanolamalta in Malta, NY to attend the “3rd Annual Rock N Roll Party to Benefit the Retired Racehorses Of Old Friends at Cabin Creek”. The Old Friends at Cabin Creek provide a safe retirement home for the racehorses since 2009. Tonight’s entertainment will be provided by one of my favorite local bands, “Blue Hand Luke”, who will be coming out of retirement to perform for this event one final time as a group.. Tickets are $60 at the door and it provided a buffet and cash bar. Show is from 7-10pm. Come & watch the band perform with me while supporting a great cause!! Happy Thursday!! #HappyBirthdayToMe: Thank you to all of my friends, family, and social media followers that had taken the time to wish me a Happy 29th Birthday today!! It was a gorgeous day and evening to celebrate my special day! I had the day off from work and I celebrated with cake, breakfast, and presents from my parents at home! I had a blast ending my birthday celebrations with dinner, dessert, and attending the "Bourbon and Blues" acoustic blues set by my friends, Kevin Maul @dobromaul and Matt Mirabile @glasstavern at The Glass Tavern in Schenectady, NY!! My first time seeing them perform as a duo and they were awesome!! Thank you to my friends that had come out to celebrate my birthday with me tonight!! Thank you to The Glass Tavern for the great food and dessert you had served to me tonight, providing great service, and for having the "Bourbon and Blues" night! #HappyStPatricksDay: Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all my Irish friends & those who are Irish at heart!! This St. Patrick’s Day weekend was spent supporting my musician friends and local venues at their events; Carmen Lookshire’s “For Love” CD release party at Eden Cafe, “Blue Hand Luke” & “The Dolan Brothers” at Rustic Barn Pub!! All of these musicians put on fantastic shows at these venues just before the regulations for the Corona Virus came into full effect!! This was the first time that “Blue Hand Luke” reunited in the new year to perform for their fans!! Awesome job to all who performed this weekend!!
