#OnThisDate & #WaybackWednesday: Last Year (8/3/2021), I watched the Matt Mirabile Band Ft. Alison Jacobs, at the Brunswick Community Center in Troy,NY. This was the first time the band made their stage debut at my hometown summer concert series and from what I can remember of it, it was great. Today (8/3/2022), I completed errands, took part in a Zoom piano lesson, and have been keeping busy transcribing an interview I conducted a while back for work that I have put behind and need to work on it and other projects for clients. #SaturdayFunday: Happy “Saturday Funday” everyone! I had a great time attending “Rock & Remember” at The Hangar on the Hudson in Troy,NY held in memory of music fan, Bob Sweeny. This afternoon’s event featured some great music from “Off The Record”, “Chris Busone Band”, with special guests, Luke McNamee, Johnny Rabb, Tommy Love, & Art Fredette! Proceeds went towards Street Soldiers and The American Red Cross!! This was a fun event to honor and remember my friend, Bob, who contributed great things to the Capital Region Music Scene & to local radio station, “RadioRadioX”!! #ThrowbackThursday & #ThursdaySaveTheDate: Happy “Throwback Thursday”!! Come on out tonight to Nanola @nanolamalta in Malta, NY to attend the “3rd Annual Rock N Roll Party to Benefit the Retired Racehorses Of Old Friends at Cabin Creek”. The Old Friends at Cabin Creek provide a safe retirement home for the racehorses since 2009. Tonight’s entertainment will be provided by one of my favorite local bands, “Blue Hand Luke”, who will be coming out of retirement to perform for this event one final time as a group.. Tickets are $60 at the door and it provided a buffet and cash bar. Show is from 7-10pm. Come & watch the band perform with me while supporting a great cause!! Happy Thursday!! #HappyBirthdayElvisPresley: Happy Birthday to the “King of Rock & Roll”, Elvis Presley!! Today (1/8/19) would have been Presley’s 84th Birthday! To this day, he continues to make an impact with his music through his legions of fans, musical tributes, festivals,& even impersonations. This past Saturday evening (1/5/19), I attended the annual Elvis Birthday Bash at @hangaronthehudson featuring an excellent musical tribute to Presley by local group, “Johnny Rabb’s Big Band” Ft. Tommy Love on guest vocals. It was certainly a birthday party and musical tribute that was certainly fit for the “King of Rock & Roll”!
