Ooo can I please request a Steve x fem!reader where Y/n is Wanda and Pietro’s friend (they met when she was traveling through Europe and stopped in Sokovia and they’d be best friends ever since. After Wanda and Pietro volunteer to be experimented on, Stucker used Wanda’s phone to text Y/n and lure her to the Hydra base (unbeknownst to Wanda or Pietro) because he needed one more person to experiment on but was short on volunteers (because Wanda and Pietro are the sole survivors). Wanda and Pietro would be horrified watching them drag their best friend into the base. After many experiments, she becomes the third surviving experiment, and she has the power to shapeshift into any animal, though her favorite is turning into a cat. Wanda and Pietro bring her with them when they escape, but once they join up with Ultron, Y/n starts to feel really uncomfortable, so when Ultron and the twins first face the Avengers on the ship, she turns into her cat form and sneaks onto the Avengers’ Quinjet. The Avengers are completely confused on where this cat came from, but she’s super jumpy but sweet and affectionate, and gravitates towards Steve. She pretty much becomes Steve’s cat (no one has any idea that she’s a shapeshifter) and this continues until the Avengers find her curled up (in human form) on the couch and they’re like “Who are you???” She’d be all sheepish like “It’s me” nervously looking around as she turns into cat form. She’d be frantically apologizing, especially to Steve, and be like “I really meant to tell you, Steve, but you were so sweet and I just felt so safe”🥺 She explains her past and she pretty much joins the Avengers (though she’s very reserved and nervous). Her and Steve fall in love with each other, after getting to know each other for the next few months. She frequently finds herself back in cat form, curled up in Steve’s lap (he’s her safe place) and one day he’s like “You know you can sit on my lap in human form too, right?” And she turns into her human form and is so flustered, especially when he wraps his arms around her and gives her a sweet kiss on the lips and she hides her face in his chest🥹 She’d want to come along with them to Sokovia because she wants to help Wanda and Pietro, and she ends up saving Pietro’s life by turning into an animal and getting him and the kid out of the way. She’d turn into cat form and he’d run her to safety too and hug and thank her when she turns into human form🥺 After this Y/n, Wanda, and Pietro become the newest Avenger recruits that Steve and Nat are training🥰 (Steve and Y/n are very affectionate even during training which makes everyone tease them)🥰

You’ve been traveling around Europe for a couple months. You’re currently in Sokovia. The best part of it was meeting Wanda and Pietro and becoming friends with them. Since it’s your first time there, they offered to show you around to make it easier for you. Your trip keeps getting more fun each day. Except for today. Wanda accidentally left her phone out in the open where anyone can get ahold of it. Anyone meaning, Strucker. Someone who’s part of HYDRA. He’s been watching you since you met Wanda and Pietro. To lure you to the HYDRA base he’s currently at, he stole Wanda’s phone and texted you. Thinking it was Wanda who texted you, you texted her back, telling her that you’re on your way.

You were so confused on the location Wanda -Strucker- texted you. You looked at the directions on your phone to make sure you went to the right place and you did. The building looks old and abandoned to you. You went inside of the building to look for Wanda and Pietro. You looked around what you’re assuming is the main area of the building, but didn’t see them. You got an eerie vibe the longer you were in the building. You opened your mouth to call out for Wanda and Pietro, but a hand with a cloth was put over your mouth and an arm was wrapped around your neck. You screamed into the person’s hand and tried to fight off whoever put their hands on you. You grew tired and passed out from whatever chemical you inhaled from the cloth. Wanda and Pietro were hiding along the wall and watched Strucker drag your unconscious body into a room with a look of horror on their faces.

You woke you a little bit later on a cold metal table. You frowned in confusion as you looked around what looks like a room where people conduct experiments that could possibly kill someone. You went to get off of the table only to find out that your body was strapped down to the table.

“What the hell?” You mumbled to yourself.

You tried to wiggle out of the restraints, but it was no use. The restraints were too tight. You jumped at the sound of the door opening. You looked over to see a man -Strucker- enter the room with a tray full of syringes that have some kind of suspicious liquid in them.

“Hello.” Strucker says as he put the tray down on a nearby table. “I’m Baron Strucker.” He introduces himself to you. “You must be Y/N.” He says.

You stared at him in udder confusion. How does this man know your name?

“How do you know my name?” You asked.

“You’re friends with the Maximoff twins, right?” He asks.

That was enough to tell you that Strucker stole Wanda’s phone and texted you.

“Where the hell am I?” You asked.

“That’s not important.” Strucker said as he walked to the other side of the room to get a pair of rubber gloves. “What’s important is that you’re going to become something that’ll make you a perfect asset for HYDRA.” He says as he put the rubber gloves on.

“No thanks. I’m good.” You say, trying to wiggle out of the restraints again.

“It’s funny to think that you actually have a choice.” He says with a chuckle.

You watched Strucker’s next move closely. He picked up one of the many syringes on the tray and walked over to you with it. Your eyes went wide and your heart started pounding so hard that you thought it was going to burst through your chest.

“Please don’t.” You whimpered.

“Like I said, you don’t have a choice.” Strucker says.

“NO!” You screamed as he got closer to you with the needle.

Wanda and Pietro were hiding along the wall when they heard you scream. They stopped in their tracks and looked at each other.

“He’s hurting her.” Wanda says, her voice cracking.

Wanda and Pietro quietly walked over to the door of the room you’re in. They pressed their ears against the door, hearing your screams and pleads for Strucker to stop poking and prodding you with needles. Wanda’s eyes teared up.

“Strucker is going to kill her.” Wanda whispers, her voice cracking.

“Maybe or maybe, but we have to stay strong for her.” Pietro whispers.

Wanda nods and wipes her tears away. Pietro gave his twin sister a hug before they walked away from the door. All they can do for you right now is to hope that you make it out alive like they did.

Experiment after experiment, you made it through it alive. It was painful and you hated every second of it. During the experiments, you found out that you can shapeshift into animals. After practicing how to shapeshift into animals, you managed to figure it out. Your favorite animal to shapeshift into is a cat. In a way, it makes it fun for you. Besides, cats are cute.

Also, Wanda and Pietro didn’t leave you there to die. They stayed there to make sure you made it out of the experiments alive and you did. They feel relieved to know that you’re alive, but they hate that Strucker got his hands on you and put you through all of that pain.

While you were getting experimented on, Wanda and Pietro came up with a plan to get you out of there and that’s what they’re doing right now. They found the cell Strucker locked you in and Wanda used her powers to open the door. You looked up and felt relieved when you seen your friends. You scrambled to stand up and ran over to them, hugging them tightly.

“You guys came for me.” You say.

“Of course we did.” Wanda says softly.

“Let’s get you out of here.” Pietro says softly.

You nodded and cautiously followed them out of the HYDRA base you were experimented on in. You felt relieved the second you stepped foot out of the base. You assumed that Wanda and Pietro were taking you to their place, but they didn’t. You three went somewhere else. To you, it looked like another old and abandoned building.

“Why are we here?” You asked as you looked around the old building.

“We have something to do.” Wanda says.

“Ok.” You replied.

You didn’t ask what Wanda and Pietro had to do. Nor did they specify what they had to do.

“Hello.” You heard a robotic voice.

The robotic voice startled you and made you scream. You swear that your soul left your body. You seen a tall and silver looking robot. At least you think it’s a robot.

“Who- What are you?” You asked Ultron.

“My name is Ultron.” Ultron introduces himself to you.

You watched as your best friend slowly approached Ultron. You slowly and warily approached him too.

“I see that you have another human to join us.” Ultron says.

“I’m a human and a shapeshifter.” You corrected. “And what do you mean by join you?” You asked.

“To destroy the Avengers.” Ultron says.

Your eyes went wide. You don’t want to do that. The Avengers are your friends. You managed to leave the room without Wanda and Pietro noticing. You turned into a cat and ran as fast as your four legs would let you. You hid behind a bunch of boxes after a few minutes of running. You don’t know where you are. You just sat there in cat form till you could figure out what to do. You jumped when you heard something land on the ground. You cautiously poked your head out around the boxes to see the Avengers. You felt relieved to see them. That’s when you seen your two best friends facing them. You had a feeling that whatever they’re about to do is going to end badly. You ran as fast as you could to the quinjet and got on it, hiding under one of the seats. You weren’t sure how long you were hiding on the quinjet, because before you knew it, the Avengers got back on the quinjet. It didn’t take them long to realize that you were hiding under one of the seats.

“Guys, there’s a cat under the seat.” Natasha says.

You stared up at the Avengers from underneath the seat as they stared about at you. Steve approached you first. He laid on his stomach on the floor of the quinjet and held his hand out towards you. You stared at his hand for a few seconds before slowly approaching him and rubbing your head against his hand. He smiles and moves out of the way so you can got out from underneath the seat. Steve sat upright on the floor, leaning his back against the wall. You crawled onto Steve’s lap and made yourself comfortable. He smiles down at you and pets you.

“I think she likes you.” Clint says.

“How do you know the cat is a girl?” Tony asks.

“She doesn’t have a- you know.” Steve says.

From that moment, Steve claimed you as his cat. You know you should tell Steve that it’s you and that you’re a shapeshifter who can turned into animals now, but you just want to relish his sweetness.

You’re not sure how long you have been in cat form. You didn’t know you could stay in cat form this long. Also, Steve bought everything a cat might need. A collar, litter box, food, and some toys. Ever since the day the Avengers came across you on the quinjet, you’ve been Steve’s cat ever since.

One day, you were curled up on the couch and taking a nap. You must’ve turned back into your human form while you were asleep, because the Avengers did not recognize you at all. Partly, because you were facing away from them as you were napping. You sensed a presence behind you. You knew it was the Avengers standing a few feet behind you. Your eyes fluttered open and you shifted on your spot on the couch, but didn’t turn over. Then you realized that you weren’t in your cat form anymore.

“Who are you?” Tony asks.

“It’s me.” You say before turning over.

You turned over and sat upright on the couch, facing the Avengers. Their eyes went wide when they realized it was you who was napping on the couch just a short moment ago.

“Y/N?” Steve asks.

“Hi, guys.” You say sheepishly.

You avoided the Avenger’s gaze on you. They all cleared out of the lounge room to give you some space, except Steve.

“You were a cat earlier and now you’re a human.” Steve points out.

“I’m a shapeshifter.” You said.

“How did you become a shapeshifter?” He asks.

“Baron Strucker did a bunch of experiments on me when I was in Sokovia. Wanda and Pietro helped me escape the HYDRA base Strucker kept me at.” You explained.

“How do you know the Maximoff twins?” He curiously asks.

“I met them when I first got to Sokovia and we’ve been friends ever since.” You tell him.

“Why didn’t you tell me this sooner?” He asks.

“I really meant to tell you, Steve, but you were so sweet and I just felt so safe.” You said.

Steve sat down next to you and wrapped his arms around you and kissed the side of your head. You melted into his touch.

“I’m sorry you went through all of that pain.” Steve says softly.

“Thank you, Stevie.” You almost whispered.

Soon after that, you pretty much joined the Avengers. You don’t do much though. You only help them when you think they need it. Also, you’re in your cat form almost all the time and lay on Steve’s lap all the time. Steve doesn’t mind it one bit. He thinks it’s cute. He’s your safe place.

“You know, you can sit on my lap in human form too, right?” Steve says flirtatiously.

You lifted your head to look up at him. If you were in human form, you’d definitely be blushing. You changed back into human form and readjusted yourself on Steve’s lap. The blush on your face was very noticeable after you turned back into your human form.

“Better?” You asked.

“Much better.” He smiles.

Steve wraps his arms around your waist and kisses your lips sweetly. You giggled softly and hid your face against his chest.

“You guys are going to Sokovia later, right?” You asked.

“Yes.” Steve answers.

“Can I go with you guys?” You asked.

“Yes, but stay on the quinjet.” He says.

“I can do that.” You say.

Later, the Avengers were fighting Ultron in Sokovia. Like you promised Steve, you stayed on the quinjet the whole time. Although, you were curious during the whole thing. You pushed the button that opens the door to the quinjet to get a better look at the fight. The Avengers, along with Wanda and Pietro, looked like they knew what they were doing, but something was telling you that you should do something to help them. As soon as you stepped off of the quinjet, you noticed that Pietro needed some help trying to get a kid to his mom, but bullets we’re flying past him too quickly for him do so. Luckily for him, you weren’t too far from him. You changed into your cat form and ran as fast as your four legs would let you.

“Kitty!” The little boy says, pointing at you.

Pietro looks down at you, smiling when he sees you. He bent down to pick you up. He also picked the little boy up.

“Hold on tight.” Pietro says to you and the little boy.

Pietro used his powers to run quickly to get the little boy to his mom. He gently handed the little boy to his mom.

“Thank you so much!” The little boy’s mom says.

“You’re welcome, ma’am.” Pietro smiles at her.

Pietro put you back on the ground so you can change back into your human form.

“Thank you for that.” Pietro says, hugging you.

“It’s no problem, Pietro. I’m happy to help you guys in anyway I can.” You smiled.

After all of that, Wanda and Pietro joined the Avengers. Steve and Natasha are in the process of training them. You often watch them train. Sometimes, you help Steve and Natasha train Wanda and Pietro. You also like to walk around the compound in cat form.

You entered the gym in cat form. You see Wanda and Pietro being trained by Steve and Natasha. You decided to walk over to them. You distracted Steve by pawing his leg for his attention. He looks down at you and smiles.

“As much as I love to see you as a cat, can you please turn back into a human so I can kiss you?” Steve says, giving your head a soft pet.

You turned back into your human form. Steve kisses your lips.

“Hi.” You grinned against his lips.

“Hi.” Steve grins back.

Wanda and Pietro smile, happy that you found someone who makes you happy.

“They’re staring at us.” You whispered.

“Let them.” Steve whispers back.

You giggled and smiled as Steve kissed you again.

“I love you, sweetheart.” Steve whispers against your lips.

“I love you too, Stevie.” You whispered back.
