When you're a fan of knh/tad and have a lot of ideas for [x reader] fanfics to share, but the characters you have in mind aren't in the anime yet, and you don't want to spoil anyone:

heheh~ yeah @kotikaleo i do have unnecessarily specific thoughts about the ring designs i did for this piece! lol firstly, these are ABSOLUTELY fidget rings. cuz i'd have done a more mechanical/gear specific design but any human who's worn a ring on the reg knows that having a bunch of little notches in it is HELL, so cute spinny rings it is. secondly, Viktor's has "in all timeliness" engraved inside of his and Jayce's has "in all possibilities". and thirdly, they HAD to have to round blue sapphires in them because every time i rewatch Arcane i get this gut wrenching feeling during episode 4 where i - very viscerally - feel like maybe the last beautiful thing they accomplished together, before anyone or anything truly started tearing their world apart, was fortifying the hex gems. in that moment, it must have felt like they were about to finally take the next big step towards everything they dreamed about~ but... we all know how that turned out. so! YEAH~! (O W O) those are my thoughts on my, Science Husbands, ring designs heheh~

He was aching for a touch. His body was starved for someones warms and the worst part was that hector couldn't ask any of his friends for help

It's not like they wouldn't hug him or anything like that, in fact hector was sure that if he did ask, he would get swamped in hugs and pats. Cuba probably would give him the warmest hug of them all and lamine would ruffle his hair till all styling he does work vanish form it. Other guys won't be left behind the pair in amount of affection they would give but it wouldn't matter.

Because even all love that hector was always sorounded with couldn't soothe the ache in him.

Because there was noone he could ask to crawl into his too small bad in their shared dorm room and wrap their arms around his chest, skin to skin, shared air and all.

Maybe it was because hector no longer lived in la masia dorms, having whole flat in the middle of Barcelona all to himself.

Or because even though they were all close in spirit, hector wasn't used to being this close with others so intimately.

Maybe it was just that none of them were Marc. Who knows.

It didn't matter anyway, laying in his new, comfortable queen sized bed, it shouldn't matter and he shouldn't think about stupid Marc.

Well okay, marc wasn't stupid, only sometimes, like when he looses track of the story in the middle of telling it or miscalculating how much sweets he could actually buy for their weekly stash in the room that they hid from all other boys and coaches.

But it was in fact stupid to think about him when hector knew that he had training in the morning.

Even with that knowledge hector couldn't help himself, ache for familiar warmth was too bad. Usually it's easier to deal with, during the day he can just focus on football and nothing else.

It's nights that are the worst. Hector has all of this big spacious place to himself which is nice but what help is it when he can't hide in familiarity of the room where he grew up alongside marc, where he knows each squeaky bit of flooring and can map everything in it with his eyes closed.

Can't even dream that it's him who shares the warmth with hector, that it's marc in whose arms hector tries to burrow himself to feel secure and not just a bunch of pillows that are doing a piss poor job of imitation.

They weren't anything, at least nothing that words could properly describe. That's why hector was content with label of "best friends", because at the time he didn't feel the rush to be defined as anything more.

He should have.

Now his body was aching and cold even under covers, in warm air of Barcelona. Meanwhile his heart was so full of affection that hector doesn't know what to do with, almost too much of it laying in there.

Because he never learned how to let it out other than through light touches and fleeting kisses, skin to skin. Hector never leaned how to give it away to anyone other than Marc.

He's not sure he wants to.

He still has his issues of course but al is the most secure (attachment) oc i have. and im unsure as to Why, but it Was/Is really important to me for him to have had that experience of the worst relationship he's ever had. (where he ended up basing too much of his self worth on it, and stayed for far longer than he should have.)

Like. As I've met more people, I've watched (or heard about how) the brightest minds crumble when being introduced to love. All common sense out the window. There is no rational thinking AT ALL. Questioning and compromising on even your most innate immutable beliefs, held hostage by fear and What if This is As Good As It Gets. Even the strongest falter underneath it sometimes...!

Can you make a tutorial on how you world build and make ocs? I can't seem to make any people in my brain, but then when I try to come up with environments jobs, beliefs and little details to slowly come up with someone, I think: well I don't really know how people have influenced the world- it's a weird loop

To be honest, I don't think I can! Writing is an extremely personal process. The way I write is directly related to how I process things, what I find important in stories, years of my own analysis of my and other's writing, etc... The way you write will be unique to you, as well. But I can explain how I personally think of it.

The short answer:

Write. Write anything and everything, it's a tool to explore your ideas. Analyze your own writing, and write more. Then, as you discover which ideas you want to develop, write more to explore them more. You won't know what you want otherwise!

The long answer:

I think this kind of loop is common. It's easy to feel like everything needs to be done "at once," because our job as writers is to make elements logically fit with each other for our readers. But as you've discovered, developing multiple elements simultaneously isn't really possible, or at least is extremely difficult.

Personally, when I think of writing, I break it into three major elements; characters, world, and plot. As much as possible every scene explores one or more of these, and as much as possible these three things tie back into what I personally consider most important: theme.

Everything I do is in service of the themes I want to present. Without them my events feel aimless. It can take a while to discover them, but they're the core of my work. You will have to discover what you feel is the core of yours. Analyzing other media helps with this too.

Concepts in your brain exist in a state of infinite potential. But when you start writing you have to start making choices, which removes potential as you move forward... But you have to move forward anyways. If there's ideas you want to explore later, you can always explore them later.

What this ends up meaning, to answer your question, is that I don't think of my characters as "people in my brain" or my worlds as something people have influenced... Not at their core, at least. They are tools that I use to represent specific ideas. Obviously they're also my blorbos, but mostly they're serving a specific narrative purpose.

So above all else... Write. Write, and discover what you're writing about, and then start over and write with that in mind. Keep doing this. But you have to write!

community college is so funny because half of the teachers are like "For this class you need to use lockdown browser for all quizzes and tests. You need to buy this 70 dollar textbook, and all papers turned in must be in APA format with a title page even if they're only 500 words long. I will not accept late assignments. Also you have a minimum of 4 assignments a week." and the other half are like "you don't need proctoring for the final exam I trust you. here's a download link to a pirated copy of the textbook. as long as your writing is coherent and demonstrates an understanding of the material I literally could not care less what format you use. I can't figure out how canvas works so I'm not giving you due dates, just make sure it's turned in before the grading period ends. your only weekly assignment is a forum post with a minimum of 100 words."

the more of Andor I watch the more it absolutely nuclear bombs all other modern Star Wars clean out of the water like. obviously the tone of The Mandalorian is different and incomparable bc they're not shows setting out to do the same thing, Mando is like family friendly action adventure and Andor is darker and more mature, but like. damn. as much as I really do love Mando it's genuinely hard to watch Andor back to back with any other SW stuff because it has something to fucking SAY and then it SAYS IT. they made that shit so elevated it actively lowers everything around it.
